Welcome back friends and family to the amazing world of Pokémon!
It has been a while, but do not fret, it wasn't for naught. I was working on this chapter for quite some time and trying to figure out where to take the story and at what speed really. This one is going to slow down the plot for a bit (not filler), but just enough to get you, the viewers, to a healthy does of sorty telling. New characters are introduced so I kind of what them to develop a bit.
With out further ado, Lets kick this pig! (tell me what movie is that from and you get a cookie)
Oh and I do not own Pokémon or anything related to Pokémon.
Beep… Beep… Beep… Beep
The sound pound against his head. Light beamed over his eye, as if the sun were trying to tell him it was time to wake up. Slowly trying to perceive what was around his was around him, Ash tried to open his eyes. It was a struggle to do even just that as his body as starting to wake up. Moving his head to the side, he tried to figure out if any of this was real or just in his head. Partially opening his eyes ash could tell white walls surrounded him as he laid on his back. Something soft cushioning him. A warm white blanket covered Ash's body up to his chest. His head was perked up in a partially upright position, the pillows trying to support his injured head and neck. 'Just where the hell am I?'. The worst decision he made was right then and there when he tried to pull himself up right, but suddenly stopped as his body shocked him with pain.
Everything hurt or completely sore. Looking down at his left arm, Ash noticed that it was in a cast at an angle that ran from the upper part of his shoulder and covered to his wrist. His fingers were free, and he could possibly wiggle his fingers but decided against trying it. He felt a massive bruise the covered his entire right side of his face, the swelling of his right side being a big indicator.
Looking over to see a heart monitor registering the beats of his heart as he finally coming to terms of his current predicament. Over to his left was a window that covered the entire side of the wall that stood to his right.
The Lord of Time would not give to go back in time and completely redo that entire mission to the Space Dimension. But rules were rules. He would go back, yes, but then the future was not to be assured. Maybe it was better if he does, but the ramifica …
"So, I see that you are finally awake. That's good." Ash was interrupted from his thoughts when the voice of a young woman was sung. Turning his head, to the left, carefully, he was met with a young, beautiful woman smiling at him. She has long dark hair that was in a braid that ran down her back and a flower that the beginning of the braid. She had emerald eyes and small dimples when smiling, both things that would captivate any young man. She was not very tall, Ash knew that just by looking at her, he would tower over the woman She wore hat appeared to be a white and pink nurses skirt, complete with a stethoscope around her neck. In one of her hands, she held a clipboard, probably holding medical records of him, or what little they must have. "So how are you feeling?"
"Hmm. I've been through worse, I suppose. Where am I?" Ash responded with a stoic face on, turning away from the lady.
"Right now, you are in Vermillion Hospital. And I highly doubt that. No normal person could withstand the level of punishment your body as taken. Just by looking at you, we could deduce that you had multiple fractures and broken bones. We think your arm was completely shattered, but we were not too sure- "
"what do you mean, 'we think…'?" The injured man interrupted.
"Well, says here that when the nurses took and x-ray of your body, we were not able to see anything. Like nothing at all. The pictures came up blank. The doctors all thought that there was something wrong with the machine, but there wasn't. Normally that happens when someone has had a metal piece surgically placed in them, like a metal plate holding two bones together while they are trying to heal. We would not be able to see those small areas, but your entire body, we could not see through anything."
"you can say I'm not your average patient…"
"We took some samples of your skin and sent them to the lab. Sor far we have deducted that you have some sort of metal infused with your molecular structure. You not being average would be an understatement. We sent those samples to Professor Oak. He may be able to help us figure out how to go about your treatment. Or even a new condition..." Replied the nurse. "I'm Nurse Chloe, by the way. Can I get your name?" The Beast of Time in human form contemplated a while before replying.
"I'm Ash… Just Ash…" he said.
With his name revealed, Chloe wrote it down on his clipboard. "Well, Mr. Ash, it is nice to meet you. If there is anything that you need, feel free to push the buzzer on your nightstand on your left, and someone will be here to assist you." And then she turned to leave but was suddenly stopped when the man's voice rung out.
"How did you guys find me?"
Turning around, she walked back to his side. "Well Mr. Ash, I was going to work and during my walk I found you lying inside of a crater. You were severely injured just by looking at you. Multiple cuts and bruises covered your body. Besides that, we think that you have had some internal bleeding, some broken bones, and a dislocated shoulder, which we put back into place almost immediately after looking over you. We felt that your left arm was also broken and put it together and in that cast that you are currently wearing. I was going to ask you, when you got a bit better, how on earth, you ended up such a state. Did you wrestle a Krookadile or an Ursaring?" Chloe joked. "You have been here for about two weeks, completely unconscious."
The Time "God" mused to himself. Palkia really gave him a beating this time. Enough for him to be knocked out for two weeks. He remembered when they both clashed for the first time, though it was just for Palkia to test his new "brother's" strength. He was knocked out cold for a couple of hours in the Time Realm, but he already was completely healed by the time he woke up. Just a feeling a bit sore back then, but now. The Alpha Dimension, as Arceus coined, he healed much, much slower than in his home dimension. The properties here were different to those of his home, and to Palkia's world. His body was going to need time to heal back up, and that was something he did not have. With that unknown pitch black "thing", which really was the best thing to describe it, Ash needed to warn Arceus, and to inform of Palkia's "capture". He couldn't wait here and let time wither away with an imminent threat on the loose.
"I need to go." The human/hybrid stated and threw the covers off himself. Forced himself up and cringing at the enormous amount of pain that consumed his body, a hand gently pushed him back into the bed.
"Oh no you don't. What are you think you are doing, sir? You are in no condition to get up, let alone be walking around." Chloe scolded. "You need to be resting."
"I'm fine… really. Thank you for everything you have done." He replied as he tried to get up again, but the resulting the same thing.
"There is no way I am letting you out. I just can't do that."
"Nurse, I am fine."
"That black and blue bruise under your eye and broken bones say otherwise."
"I will deal with it…"
"Oh, I have no doubt you would, but you are still not leaving."
"You cannot hold me here against my will!"
"Actually, I can. Our policy dictates that in the circumstance that a patient has extreme injuries I can proceed in any which way I see fit that is beneficial to the health of the patient. I'm sorry sir, but you will be staying here until you have recovered."
Looking at the nurse in anger, "listen Nurse Chloe, if I don't back to my home in time, it might be too late. You do not understand, I need to get out of here and inform my superior of an imminent threat."
Looking that the injured man, Chloe frowned. What was going on with this guy. She dealt with stubborn patients in the past, but this one was on a whole different level of stubborn.
Mr. Ash, please… I need you to rest. If I release you from our care in your current state, I could get in a lot of trouble. You could also get a lot more hurt than you are already and I am sure by the bruises you have on you, you do not want to come back even more beat up than before. So, as part of my job, I need you to stay here."
The scowl on Ash's face lessened as she explained, finally shown signs of compliance. After a solid minute of silence between the two he relaxed more into the bed and looked away from her, still upset that he was stuck in his current predicament.
Figuring it was time to leave, Chloe picked up the clipboard he brought with her and left the room without another word, still unsatisfied with the way her patient was reacting. Patients that were rebellious was a normal occurrence as some would refuse certain medicines or to follow procedure, but this was ridiculous. 'Why would a patient be so resistant on leaving with the injuries he sustained?' Chloe thought to herself as she walked down the hallway to see her next patient. All that she could do was wait until the doctors came up with a solution on how to help her stubborn patient. Coming out of her stupor as she looked up to see a man in a white lab coat, red tie, and a stethoscope around his neck. His short, bring white hair was neatly combed over. A smile was placed on his 60-year-old face, and a pair of reading glasses hung from the bridge of his nose was he was reading a clipboard of another patient.
"Oh hello, Dr. Mahomes, I just finished checking up on my patients, and I have some good news" she calmly stated to the old doctor.
"Ah Chloe, good morning. It is always good to see you. Finishing up the night shift?"
"yes sir, I'm about to head home. The night shift takes a huge told on me. But before that I need to report something to you. It's really important that I tell you now before you see your other patients."
"Well fire away if it is so urgent, lass." Dr. Mahomes replied.
"You know about that patient that I found two weeks ago in a giant crater?"
"I do not think I could forget. That was some story you told us. I thought you were pulling my leg. Hahaha!" he laughed.
"Well, it turns out that he finally woke up and regained full consciousness. I don't know how long but he was awake, but I did get some information out of him. His name is Ash. And apparently, he doesn't recall ending up in that crater, or in his current position." The old doctor grew serious, and he put his index finger under his chin.
"It could be some sort of amnesia. Our scans did find that there was some head trauma he experienced. I'm going to look into it a little bit more. At least he is awake now." He then held out his hand, silently asking for the chart of their character of interest. Chloe handed the clipboard, and soon Mahomes began reading through the reports. "What concerns me is how the X-rays could not pick anything up when trying to examine his bones."
"I did mention that to Mr. Ash, and he did not even seem to really be bothered by that. I'm thinking that he is withholding a lot of information from us that could help us treat him."
"That is very unusual. Speak of which, I just received the samples of Ash's skin that we sent to Professor Oak. It is really astonishing and amazing at the same time. I did not get a chance to read through it yet. I will let you know our next move when you come in on Thursday for your day-shift."
"Okay, Dr. Mahomes. I would be careful with him. It seems our patient is a little adamant about leaving, even in his current state." The aged doctor gave off a hardy laugh. Chloe smiled, and then yawned.
"Alright, I will keep an eye out and tell your coworkers the same. You need to get home and sleep. You look tired." Dr. Mahomes claimed.
"The night shifts normally do that to me. I will see you Thursday doctor."
"Alright, take care now, and don't forget to tell your father I said hello. I haven't seem him lately. Cerise was always one of my best students in medical school. Still have no idea why he became a pokemon researcher, but Oh well!"
"I will doctor Mahomes, by now…" and with that Chloe took that as her time to get home and some rest. Doctor Mahomes was always one of her favorites, as he took real good care of her in her time working at Vermillion Hospital. Making her way to the revolving doors, she did not notice a small being until she ran right into it.
Crash!
Looking down, Chloe saw a girl, who looked just about in her young teens. She had pale skin, and bright blueish-pink eyes. Her hair was long… VERY long, with an assortment of colors at each section of length. At the beginning, a honey blonde shade that slowly descended into a pink dye and at the very end was a pure blue. She also seemed to have one section of her hair completely braided, while the other waved freely. The girl's top consisted of a pink, short, shirt that exposed her thin stomach, and similar colored short jeans that run as far as her thighs. White socks with stars that run to her shins accompanied the attire and pink sneakers covered her feet.
"oh my, are you okay?" Chloe asked, concerned for her lack of paying attention. Offering her hand to help the girl up, said girl reach for it and accepted.
"ooww. Yeah ill be okay. Sorry about that miss."
"I should be the one who is sorry. I am really tired and just was not paying full attention." Chloe argued. The girl looked at her with confusion.
"hey are you one of the nurses here?"
"why yes, I am."
"GREAT! I need your help. I'm looking for someone. He has not been home in days and we have tried calling him but had no idea where he was. Do you know where I can find Ash? Ash is his name. Black hair, silver tattoos running down from under his eyes, and all over his body. A shiny rock in the center of his chest? Does that right a bell? Does it?!" the Girl bounced up and down in hope, extremely eager to get an answer. Chloe looked at this girl with a small grin.
"Yes, I know of him. Ash is one of my patients. He just woke up this morning, from what I know, and I just saw him a few minutes ago." The Girl then gleamed in joy, making her bounce even more. 'how much energy goes one kid have?' the nurse asked herself with a sweat dropping.
"Please, Nurse. I need to go see him. Can you take me to him? No one will let me through yet claiming its not 'visiting hours' yet. I need your help. Please, please, please, please..." she asked holding her hands together tightly. Thinking for a moment, Chloe gave in and sighed.
"Alright I'll take you there, but please calm down. This is a hospital." 'to think I was about to go home' she mentally cried.
"Oh, thank you thank you thank you! I won't forget this, Nurse!" the girl gave her a big bewear sized hug. Realizing what she was doing, the girl quickly let go and her checked flushed in red. "hehe, sorry. I get carried away sometimes…"
"Don't worry about it. Follow me." Chloe replied.
Making their way through the complex maze of the building, they finally ended up to a room familiar to the tired nurse. "here we are. Now, we need to enter quietly, he might be back asleep…"
"… I'm not Chloe." The voice of Ash rang though their ears, the girl smiled and quickly ran inside the room, with the nurse deciding to follow suit.
"Ash! I'm so relieved you're okay!" the male gave the abundant young teen a death glare "If you mean okay in that I am covered in bandages, and casts, yeah, I'm better than ever. Thanks for asking." he replied.
"Well, besides that. I'm just happy I found you. Everyone is going to be so relieved."
"Yeah, I'm sure EVERYONE is." Ash's sarcasm being ever so present. Ignoring him, the girl turned to Chloe.
"Thanks for bringing me to Ash. I'm Melby by the way!"
"Nice to meet you Melby, I'm Chloe. Listen, I need to get going. I hope to see you soon. And Ash, please stay in bed. Melby, I need you to watch over him and make sure Ash rests. He needs it will all the injuries he sustained." Standing at attention and giving the older female a salute, the girl, now known as Melby replied, "you can count on me!"
"thank you Melby, and Ash… rest up. I will see you on Thursday and Doctor Mahomes should be here shortly to check up on you." The dark-haired boy said nothing but nodded. The dark-haired woman left the room and the two remaining souls just looked at each other, not saying a word.
"I'm surprised it took you two weeks to find me Mew." Ash said after a few minutes of silence making sur ethe coast was clear before revealing the true identity of the girl in front of him.
"It took me only a few hours to find you, silly. I've been outside the entire time watching over you while you slept. I just needed the proper opening to see you."
"That sounded so creepy... I didn't know you stalked me in your free time." Mew blushed in embarrassment.
"That's not what I meant… your lucky I can't hit you for that" she crossed her arms and pouted. "I'm going to get you for that, ya know."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever…"
Mew's face then become serious, "Arceus sent me to watch over you and help you. And what happened in the Space Realm? Palkia decide he had too much of 'The Time Lord' visiting him?"
Looking at he is ceiling, Ash closed his eyes and sighed. "No, it was that. Something bad has happened. Palkia was being controlled by that thing! Something was controlling him and its powerful. I don't know how it got to the Space Realm, but it was able to manipulate the mind and will of Palkia."
"What!? You're saying that something is controlling Palkia, even as we speak?" Mew said, completely shocked.
"Yeah, and because of that I had to fight Palkia. With the amount of chaos that was consuming the dimension, it really weakened my power. I couldn't hold my Pokémon form for long or use any of my attacks to defend myself. I thought I beat Palkia, but I could not do it. Whatever that monster controlling our brother is, it made Palkia so much stronger."
"Oh my, poor Palkia. I'm so sorry Ash. Did you at least see that the monster controlling him was?"
"yeah, it was some stran- "
"Mr. Ash? I am coming in" a voice come from outside the door as it opened. "we will talk later…" Ash quickly whispered to the female. Appeared an old man with a clipboard in his hands, the same one that Chloe had when she came in for the first time, Ash noticed. "Good Morning, Mr. Ash, my name is Doctor Garfield Mahomes, and I am just here to check up on you. How are you feeling?"
"I'll be okay. I just need to know when I can get out of here." Ash stated adamantly.
"whoa there young one. You may be young and eager like I once was, but you need to slow down a bit. And who is your friend?"
"I'm Melby! Chloe showed me how to get there, Ash is my best friend!" Mew replied, hiding her real name from the human.
"Oh good, I was afraid you did not have someone you were close that we could contact. I need to run some tests and then I will be out of your hair. Sound good." Ash eyed the aging doctor but seem to go along with it. If it was going to get him out sooner, then he will go through whatever they needed him to do.
After a while of running tests that either involved his bruises, bones or any other part of his beat-up body, Doctor Mahomes finally finished the writing the last of his notes down on the forms that belonged to Ash. It felt like hours to the bed-reddened Time Lord, who was hoping for the best news., but instead got the worse. He was told that he would not be able to leave for some time, "the best I think is at least a month" was what the aging doctor informed the duo of hiding Legends. Looking back in fourth to "best friend" as she called him and the instruments and tools Doctor Mahomes seemed to have pulled out from the Distortion World, Ash was helpless to the prodding and the persistence of his doctor. Mew, still in her human form watched his squirm with uneasiness, doing everything in her power to suppress her laugh. Eventually, Doctor Mahomes finished and left the two to their own device.
"I never thought that would stop." Ash complained. Lying back down in the bed, he turned his head to give himself a nice view outside the window. The sun was slowly making it to its final peak of the day, shinning right onto his body, the warmth soothing him.
"you're such a big baby. 'oh look at me, the doctor is trying to fix me up and I hate it, waahh!' Hahaha!' his female companion teased. She held her stomach and continued to laugh. "I'm, I'm sorry but, HAHAHAHA, you looked like a baby crying out for his Memma! Ahahah!"
"You would not be laughing if I wasn't covered in bandages…"
"ooohh, its so cute, you're trying at act all tough… I love it! Hahaha!" Mew taunted. If there was one thing that Ash hated about Mew, is that she never knew when to stop. His look on anger disappeared when an idea popped into his head, and an evil smirk grew. Taking his free hand, he summoned some of his time power and focused it to his hand and slowly twisted it to the left and threw the conjured power to Mew. The blue glow of power surrounded her entire body, but did not realize what was going on, until it was too late.
"Hehehe… What… what did you just do? Hahaha!" she asked while mixing in her humor.
"you are stuck in an endless time loop based off when I hit you with that aura. You will never stop laughing unless I release it." the Lord of Time smirked.
"wait, no. that's not, Ahahhaha, not funny!" Mew could not stop laughing, it was starting to take a told on her. "please. Ahahah! I can't stop… My, my stomach is killing me, Ahahhahaha! Please!" she begged.
"Promise to stop making fun of hospitalized me?"
"YES! YES! I promise!" taking the free hand, he motioned a grab at his victim and pulled back. With that the blue aura around Mew's human body disappeared. She soon started to cough violently with the ending of her "torture", trying to compose herself.
"sometimes you are a complete *Cough* jerk *Cough*, u know that. Can't you take a joke?" giving the Lord of Time a dirt look.
"I can, I've dealt with you for, Arceus knows how long, but you were getting really annoying, and we need to focus on the main topic at hand. Something is using mind control over Palkia for its own goals. We need to find out what it is and why."
"It could be Giratina. He never saw eye-to-eye with either you, Arceus and Palkia. Maybe it's him?"
"No, it was not him. I would have sensed his presence, even if he changed forms. Plus, if I remember correctly, which barely happens now adays, Giratina can't control minds. He would rather bash ours into the ground" Ash denied.
"Hmm, then I would have no idea then. Sorry Ash." Contemplating on his next moves, or lack of, he thought of what he can do. "Wait, you're practically the God of Time, why cant you just turn time backwards and warn Arceus before you went into he Space Realm? Wouldn't that work?"
"Time is one of the most dangerous things a being can play with. I may be able to control it and travel though time, but I need to be careful. You need to remember, I am the incarnation of not only time, but of order as well. Palkia is the incarnation of space and dimensions yes, but also the incarnation of chaos. Together, we hold the universe in balance. Giratina's job is not only as the incarnation of gravity and antimatter, but he also makes sure that we one of use gets out of hand."
"-But wait, if chaos is spiraling out of control, you said that Giratina would be the one to temper it right. Shouldn't he have gone and fought Palkia already?" Mew asked while scratching her head. Ash just looked at his Legend compatriot.
"I would think so, but it didn't seem like the case. The only thing I can think of is that there is not enough chaos that has built up to alert him. I think this being that is using my brother as a tool knows that as well. He it does this is not good." Sighing, Ash gives her a serious stare. "I need you to do something for me."
"Well, shoot."
"I need you to go tell Arceus what has happened to me and what I experienced. Then, ask him to send you to the Distortion World. Find Giratina and tell him as well. He maybe able to help us."
"That's brilliant, I completely forgot. We can find more answers at the Library of Shadows in the Distortion World." Mew just up excitedly. "You got it. I won't let you down, Dialga!"
"Keep it down. The last thing we need is for our cover to be blown." Mew quickly covered her mouth and her check turned pink.
"Oops, sorry. I'll take care of it, Ash. You can count on me." With those last words, Mew instantly disappeared, teleporting away. Ash could only hope that there is time left to warn Arceus. The irony.
Cool, Mew has entered the chat. now we can see how the development between Mew and Ash will take hold.
I hope y'all enjoyed that. This took me a while to make it to my satisfaction. Hopefully within the next two weeks will be the next Chapter of the Lord of Time, and I got a lot of ideas to take out of my brain and slap it onto paper.
Take it easy, thanks for stopping by and see you soon!
