Facing Your Fears

It took us a while to help jane to fly, but we did it after a whole day of trying and failing. And during that time the lost boys and Jane learned more things about me. For one thing, they learned I was scared of spiders... cubby learned that the hard way. He had found a spider and he had decided to show me. I had screamed loud enough to make them all jump. Then I had chased cubby around screaming words in fairy language that made Tinker-Bell fall out of the air because she was laughing so hard. But they also realized that when I was really terrified of something I was Focused on trying not to hyperventilate that I can't fly. All though that incident did cause me to have a panic attack. Something they found scary. So yeah, lets just say Cubby never did that again. They also learned that I could not swim, they found that out when the twins had excitedly suggested that we all go swimming.

"Lets go swimming and have some fun." Yep, and after they all witnessed me almost drown. Jane pulled me aside and spoke seriously,

"Lizzy, I'm going to teach you how to swim right now." I paled and replied,

"Um... no thanks... I'm not g-going back into the water... especially n-not a-after I-I almost drown!" I said, I was still shaken up after almost drowning for the third time in my life. But Jane had said she wasn't going home until she taught me how to swim. They also learned I was deadly afraid of the dark... and that was no thanks to my uncle. The final two things that they learned about were, I flinch away from people I don't know well, and I don't show people my scars.

So after all that happened the lost boys, Tink and I flew Jane back home. It was still night when we arrived, but we noticed the lights were still on in Wendy's house. Although I came to a sudden stop when another familiar house came into view. I started flying in the Direction of the other house. As i came closer I lowered myself and peeked into the window, "Lizzy?" A voice said from behind me. I turned to see Jane who had apparently followed me. I glanced back into the window, and what happened next almost made me loose my ability to fly. The woman inside locked eyes with me, and she put the baby she was holding down into the crib. She then walked towards the window... and she opened it while still staring at me in shock.

"Elizabeth? Is that really you?" She asked, reaching out to touch my cheek, but I squeaked in fright and hid behind Jane.

"How do you know Lizzy?" Jane asked warily. The woman smiled and replied.

"Of course I know her young lady... Lizzy is my daughter." Jane gaped in shock, looking from me to the strange woman in shock.

"Then, if she's your daughter, then why did you get another child? You could have at least looked for her!" Jane yelled, glaring at the woman. I couldn't take it anymore, so I flew away so I could tell Wendy that Jane was safe.

Jane gave the woman one last glair before following me. We arrived to the window and we both flew inside landing on the floor. I followed Jane as she went to find her mother, when she did find Wendy, she was relieved to know that Jane was safe. After a moment she noticed me and approached me, but I flinched back still shaken up from seeing my mother. Wendy frowned at me and spoke,

"Peter? Whats wrong?" I looked up at both Wendy and Jane with teary eyes. Jane blinked in realization and spoke softly,

"Lizzy. Your still shaken up from seeing your old house again aren't you?" She aske coming closer, she rapped me in a soft embrace as Wendy came over as well.

"Jane what are you talking about? And who's Lizzy?" Wendy asked, as I spoke up then my voice shaky,

"W-well I-I s-saw..." i couldn't continue my sentence and I buried my head in Wendy's shoulder, sobs racking my body. We were like that for a while when another voice spoke up,

"Mommy? Who is that?" Danny asked looking at me. I hid behind Wendy... I was also really shy around new people. Wendy blinked and was about to speak but the boy spoke again,

"Mommy... is that Peter Pan?" The boy asked coming closer to me in wonder. I smiled slightly and nodded causing the small boy to jump in excitement. I flew up in panic being startled by the boys excitement.

After a while I realized that I would have to stay with Jane and Wendy for a while. The reason?... because I couldn't fly... my unstable emotions made it hard to think of happy thoughts. But I had a hard time sleeping, I was kept awake by nightmares of my uncle hitting me with a belt over and over. Sometimes I would wake up screaming, yelling words in a mix of the Fairy language and human Language.

About a week later I was stable enough to fly back to Never Land. When I arrived back to Never Land the first thing I did was go to Hangman's tree. When I enter I was tackled to the ground by the lost boys.

JANE

Once Lizzy had left to return to NeverLand... I felt reassured that she would be safe there. I mean... sure the old Codfish and his pirate crew were there... but Lizzy can handle herself out there.

I always left the window open for when she, Tinker-Bell or the Lost Boys wanted to visit. I would never shut the window on any of them... I wouldn't shut the window on Lizzy like her mother had done.

I still couldn't believe that I had discovered Peter Pan's greatest secret. And I would keep the secret... it would remain Neverland's greatest secret. But the story wasn't over yet.
