That evening, Tom, Jerry and Spike showed Porky and his friends where they would be sleeping during their time for a few days. They're not spending the entire week.
"This is a very nice tour," Daffy told Spike.
"We like it. We've been in this house for as long as we can remember," Spike told them.
"When we get up in the morning, you guys will know how our first night went into this house."
"Porky, you don't have to say that to our friends when they already know."
"Too late for that one."
Tom yawned when Porky finished saying that.
"You already tired, Tom?" Spike asked.
"Not yet," he replied.
"Good. My friends just arrived and I don't want you guys to be rude during this time off. They came all the way to meet you. Do you plan to keep chasing each other while these guys are here?"
"We always do," Jerry told him.
"Then you guys will be able to put on a show to entertain my friends. These guys are already fast runners and good at it."
"Thanks for telling us, Spike."
"I only said it so you'd be aware of it during your time here with me."
"What's so fun about having them chase each other? I sometimes find it boring too. Is that all you guys know?" Daffy asked.
Both cat and mouse nodded.
"You would be able to get along with some of our friends who like it too."
Daffy nodded and said, "One of them is a rooster named Road Runner. He's the fast one."
"If you guys did run against our friends, it might be a tiebreaker."
"Porky's right," Daffy said.
"Interesting. We'll have to get them together and see how they react," Spike said.
This is the first time Spike has heard of Road Runner. They talked about other things until there was nothing else to say as Tom and Jerry were chasing each other around the house and neighborhood over a thousand times. Daffy wasn't surprised on how fast Tom and Jerry were running.
"They've been doing this since they moved in a long time ago."
"We believe you, Spike. Now we saw for ourselves, it's good enough."
Since today was still their first day with Spike, things were already getting fun. As both cat and mouse got tired of all their chasing each other, they began to pant.
"Were you bored by watching us?" Tom asked.
They shook their heads.
"We enjoy watching you."
That was the truth on what Porky said.
Now it was time to find water.
"Let's get some lemonade if you have any," Bugs said.
"I doubt we have any, but I can make some," Spike said as they all walked back into the house.
Jerry was the last to follow them into the kitchen as Bugs slammed the door. After Spike made the lemonade, everyone helped themselves and went to take a nice nap. Even Porky and his friends felt a bit tired themselves, even though they slept in.
What else were they supposed to do when Spike, Tom and Jerry were asleep for a while? Daffy wasn't tired, and neither were the others.
"While they're napping, what do you think of the idea by browsing the neighborhood?" Bugs asked.
"I like it, but I don't feel tired like they are," Porky said.
They left the door closed after leaving the house. The three of them walked around the neighborhood for about fifteen minutes. It should give Spike and his friends time to catch up.
"It makes sense for the cat and mouse to nap because of that running around," Daffy said.
"It's faster from what we can do."
Once they returned to the house, Spike was already starting to wake up. Tom and Jerry were already up five minutes ago. They sure don't sleep for very long.
"How was your nap?" Spike asked.
"We decided we weren't tired like you, so we ended up taking a walk instead," Porky answered.
"Nice neighborhood, huh?"
"Yes," Daffy said.
"Where are your friends, Spike?"
"They should be here somewhere. I don't care where they are."
So cat and mouse were able to find Spike.
"How long have you been up?" Spike asked them.
"About five minutes."
Tom was the one who said that. Now let's see how tonight works with the gang. At least it's going to be fun.
