Soul sighed as he finished getting dressed before heading out of the pokemon center and decided to stop by the pokemart for some supplies with tenebris on his shoulder.
Picking up the basics like spare pokeballs, pokemon food, some medical supplies and last but not least some pokeball labels to tell the pokeballs apart. After buying them soul headed out to viridian forest and once at the enterence he let out fang who looked around before seeing soul.
"Poochyenya" said fang tilting it's head questioningly.
"Hey there I'm soul and this is tenebris nice to meet you. I decided to name you fang. Let's get along on our journey" Soul said kindly and rubbed the dark type on the head earning a yip as it leaned into soul's touch. Taking professor oaks advice soul pulled out his pokedex to see his pokemon's info.
Soul learned fang was a male and knew the attacks tackle, dig and taunt while tenebris besides knowing tackle, dark pulse and quick attack knew the move double team.
A good start of a move set but they needed at least a steel type move for pewter gym.
"I better check to see what moves you can learn as we need a steel type move for the first gym as its ground type and I heard that the new gym leader took after his dad. So we may have to face a geodude and onyx there. From what I know ash used a Pikachu and pidgeotto to face the leader at the time brock. Iron tail would be good but that depends on if you can learn it" said soul to the two canine pokemon he had near him.
Taking out his pokedex soul learned that Poochyenya can learn through a move tutor and lucky soul those were becoming common enough that there was one in each town he can have fang learn the move before they took on the gym.
With that he led the two pokemon into the Forest and unlike ash could spot the natural trail of the Forrest and hiked along. It didn't take long until a complication arose. before the trainer could get to the exit a piercing sound assulted him and his pokemon as a lot of beedrill fell out of the trees stunned by the noise. Soul uncovered his ears and looked up and cursed.
It was a silvery pokemon that looked metalic and resembled a sword and shield. A honedge which normally wasn't native to kanto and that meant one thing a trainer was the cause. Stepping out with a cruel smirk was a unova trainer and a slight mad look in his eyes.
"What the hell! Why did you do that" Demanded soul as his pokemon revovered.
"Easy I spotted that zoura of yours and knew a kanto trainer shouldn't have it! It should go to a native of its homeland!" Said the trainer with a crazy tone.
Soul gritted his teeth and glared at the trainer.
"Your insane tenebris is my starter and partner yet your trying to steal her! you know the laws about starter pokemon!" Said soul glaring.
"So what! Your just a newbie trainer! Nothing you can say will effect how this will go down" laughed the trainer a dark aura around him making soul confused on seeing it.
'What the hell is that it looks like something is off with the trainer? Looks like I got to fight to get through!' Thought soul before recalling fang.
"Tenebris get ready dark pulse!" Said soul. The tricky pokemon leapt and launched the attack shocking honedge before it was slammed into the ground while soul smirked as he nodded to tenebris.
"Quick attack into tackle and mix in dark pulse as well!" Said soul and tenebris charged with the dark pulse as the quick attack went from white trail to black and turned to tackle before the dark pulse covered the pokemon as it collided with honedge knocking it out.
"What!" Said the trainer shocked as soul got ready as another pokemon this time a archanine appeared growling at the trainer soul was facing.
A officer Jenny was the source and even she was a bit unnerved at this trainer.
"Kid cover your ears" called Jenny to soul.
Soul did as ordered and covered his ears after recalling tenebris. With that the archinine let loose a thunder wave that was mixed with growl that ended up knocking out the trainer so that jenny could place handcuffs on the trainer.
"What in hell was that. For some reason I saw some kind of darkness covering that trainer" said soul confused.
"Really he looked normal to me. I knew things were getting out of hand around the regions but if something was influencing this trainer then something must be wrong" said jenny with a frown as she dragged the trainer up.
"Considering what I saw trying to unite the regions is going to be harder then I thought. Thanks for the help officer jenny I better get to pewter soon it's getting late" said soul looking to the sky.
"Your trying to unite the regions?" Asked jenny.
"I just want to bring back the peace since ash vanished. but for now i better get going. i want to get through the forest quick" soul said before going on his way not noticing a small pokemon was following with stars in it's eyes. it had saw the combined move and wanted to learn it so it wanted to become the trainer's pokemon. it wanted to be strong one day and become well known and it felt the blue-haired trainer was the one it was looking for.
