As I sit here, my mind wanders to grand, existential questions. "What happens to a 'somebody' when their heartless &/or nobody is destroyed?" "If a nobody loses an appendage, can they get robotic replacements? Do they even have organs?" "Is 42 really the answer to all of existence?"...
"...and look at her! She's so cute!..."
...And "Does this woman's lungs just not deflate?" While yes, I appreciate the information letting me know what World I landed in, that being the world of pokemon, and yes, Igglybuff are hella adorable, having to sit here for what I am sure is at least half an hour listening to you lament at how trainers are missing out on so much not adopting these beans feels... Rather wasteful. You may have some actual diabetes inducers here, but sadly, most trainers look for either cool or powerful pokemon, and may not consider it worth it to- wait, what, is that a riolu? Lucario are excellent sweepers, and resist half the types at least, why has no one picked IT up? My overall opinion of trainers has gone down. Severely.
"Oh, hey! You're a trainer too, right? At least a traveler in general, I can tell. Do you need a place to stay?"
Oh. Well, that is rather kind of you. "Why, yes, I do need a place to stay. Although, I Don't expect you to offer one to me." At the look of confusion/indignation/agitation (right?) , I proceeded to elaborate. "First of all, I have little-to-no experience with, well, really any pokemon, therefore I can't help take care of them. Second, I have LESS experience as a ranch hand, and, since it involves pokemon, I can only imagine just how important knowing what, exactly, each individual pokemon requires their home to be, therefore I can't help you take care of your farm. Third, I have no cash, therefore, I cannot pay to stay. And lastly, I-"
"Woah, woah, woah, when did I say you needed to pay me back for it!?"
"...excuse me?"
"You're a lone wanderer, with no pokemon, scuffed-up clothes, no supplies presumably, and a tone of voice that makes it sound like, pardon my Kalosian, you've gone through some shit. You want to pay me back? Stay for a while, pick a starter, and DON'T make me lose 6 years off of my life, worrying about whether or not you're still kickin'."
Well then. Here I thought it would be a long while before I remembered any emotion vividly enough to say I am feeling it. Yet here I am, perfectly understanding how TOG felt whenever chat dumped literal tons of cash & bits on him through donations. Thankfully, just the disbelief though. Don't want to get mad at someone who just offered to give me a room, food, water, and wholesome murderbeasts for free. That is just biting both the hand that feeds and Murphy's.
"...Ma'am, I think the angels are searching for you, because surely you had to have fallen from & been born in heaven to possibly be this kind."
"HAH! I got a good 40, 50 more years to look forward to hanging out with my friends here; if i'm supposed to be in heaven right now, Arceus himself will have to drag me up there, kickin' & screaming the whole time."
It didn't take much effort to hold back the want to make a fallen angel and/or Giratina joke. This effective emotion genocide thing might be excessively useful later down the line. Wait, system, what's stopping me from just power-grinding Jobs and ignoring Professions?
[Notice]
Some Professions not only increase the profits gained from grinding, but can also make it more efficient, and a few even synergize with jobs &/or are required to obtain some. For instance, with the Enchanter Profession, you can make your own homebrew skills for Spellfencer and Runeblade. Gain as many as you can, and find all of the benefits!
[Notice]
Hm. That is rather convincing evidence. Very well then, I'll take everyone's jobs. And Jobs, too, they will be even more unsafe than the jobs. And I will see red if I end up catching sight of a certain Cunt Fairy, but hopefully, I can keep the Slaughter from happening at that level. Only the funny squidward cultist gets to pull that shit. And, fuck her especially, since if my understanding of the macroverse is correct, that is gonna reach across it's entirety, meaning no matter what there is a chance of me getting caught up in antics. Miss me with that protag shit. And considering I am currently about to be living in a farm, may as well get a beastmaster synergizer.
"Well, if I am allowed to stay here, I must implore you to at least teach me how to take care of pokemon, so that I can lighten the load."
"Sweetie, all you had to do was ask, and I would shove a notebook in your hands. Now listen up..."
