Author's Note: You all ready for one big action scene? I hope so, because I had a lot of fun writing this one.
As the world around is being shrouded in darkness, Dharkon reveals himself with an army of Crazy Hands coming out of the cracked sky behind him. The smashers had now found themselves in an even worse position than they were when Galeem appeared, before Sephiroth effortlessly destroyed the God of Light.
Daisy points to Dharkon. "That's the thing I saw when Dracula disappeared. That's how Dracula got away." She stated.
"This is the being's true form…" Simon muttered.
Sephiroth floats down to the cliffside where the smashers were standing. "The time has come for me to take back the world that was wrongfully stolen from my mother. A world where you all aren't in it. If you think you can stop me…" Sephiroth raises his hand, motioning the smashers to come towards him. "I implore you to try." He smirked.
None of the smashers said anything or moved a muscle. They all kept their eyes locked to Sephiroth with worry all across their faces. Kamui especially was shaken up by Sephiroth's presence.
"I-I can't move my body. This guy… There's something so frightening about him. Is he even human? I'm afraid…" Kamui says to herself.
Suddenly, Donkey Kong with Diddy Kong on his back hopped in the front of the rest of the smashers. The giant ape had an angry glare on his face.
"I'm not gonna let this guy walk around here and do whatever he wants!" Donkey Kong declared. He turns to the smashers. "If you guys are just going to stand there scared, then I'll soften him up for ya!" The ape flexes his muscle.
Diddy Kong activates his jetpack and flies above DK. "Yeah! Let's show him what for!" He says, raising his fist in the air.
Donkey Kong pounds his chest repeatedly while letting out a battle cry. The giant ape begins charging at Sephiroth at full speed.
Mario extends his arm out to Donkey Kong. "DK! Wait!" He screamed.
Donkey Kong didn't bother to listen. He just kept going, determined to punch Sephiroth's face in. Donkey Kong begins to wind up his fist to hit Sephiroth with a powerful Giant Punch. Sephiroth isn't moving an inch. He just kept this amused smirk on his face as Donkey Kong approached.
"Take this! BANANA SLAMMA!" Donkey Kong screamed as he threw a Giant Punch at Sephiroth.
Sephiroth simply raises his free hand and grabs DK's fist, stopping the attack. Donkey Kong's eyes widened in shock. Sephiroth throws Donkey Kong behind him and hits him with a horizontal sword slash.
"DK!" Diddy Kong screamed. The monkey flies full speed ahead at Sephiroth to attempt to punch him.
Sephiroth turns his attention to Diddy Kong flying at him. He swings Masamune upwards to knock Diddy Kong off of his jetpack. The jetpack flies sporadically in random directions while Diddy Kong falls down to Sephiroth, flailing his arms around and panicking. Sephiroth catches Diddy Kong by the tail. The SOLDIER slams Diddy Kong repeatedly on the ground before throwing the monkey over to Donkey Kong's unconscious body.
Sephiroth turns his attention back to the rest of the smashers. He raises Masamune up close to his face, gripping on the handle with both hands. The smashers get in their battle stances, preparing for Sephiroth to attack them. Sephiroth charges at the smashers.
"EVERYONE! MOVE OUT THE WAY!" Mario screamed.
The smashers all disperse to dodge a giant horizontal slash from Sephiroth.
Marth was the first one to attempt to fight Sephiroth. Marth jumps up in the air and attacks with a vertical slash, which Sephiroth easily blocks with Masamune. Marth lands on his feet and attempts to stab Sephiroth, but Sephiroth parries the stab to cause Marth to stumble back. Sephiroth retaliates with two horizontal sword slashes to knock the Altean King away.
Roy charges at Sephiroth to attack with his Double-Edge Dance. Sephiroth effortlessly blocks every attack from the Double-Edge Dance. He grabs Roy by the throat and throws him forward. Sephiroth hits Roy with a horizontal slash and sends him flying.
In the distance, Ike had his Ragnell raised in the air with blue fire around it. Ike stabs the ground with Ragnell, sending pillars of flames at Sephiroth with Eruption. Sephiroth turns around and sees the pillar of flames coming towards him. He dashes through the flames and hits the Radiant Hero with a horizontal sword slash to knock him down.
"Koopalings! Go!" Bowser Jr commanded.
Bowser Jr and the Koopalings switch their Koopa Clown Carts to car mode and begin circling around Sephiroth. Sephiroth looked at the turtle children around him. He was unimpressed by the Koopa Kids.
"I don't think he looks intimidated by our tricks!" Roy noted.
Larry takes out his magic wand. "Well how about we make him intimated?!"
The Koopalings all take out their magic wands and shoot magic at Sephiroth. Bowser Jr also spits a fireball at Sephiroth. All of their attacks managed to connect on Sephiroth, but the SOLDIER stood unphased with no scratches or marks on him. Sephiroth dust himself off, still unimpressed by the Koopa Kids.
Bowser Jr started to get irritated. "Grrrrrr! Don't pretend to ignore us you big dummy! I am Bowser Jr, Prince of the Koopa Kingdom! The Koopalings and I are going to crush you for underestimating our power! Let's hit with our Super Koopaling Tag Team Attack!" He tells the Koopalings.
"Yes Prince Junior!" All the Koopaling replied.
Bowser Jr and the Koopaling all turn their Koopa Clown Carts at Sephiroth and charge at him.
"Tch. Impudent brats." Sephiroth muttered. He raises Masamune and hits Bowser Jr and the Koopalings with a spin attack to knock them out of their Koopa Clown Carts.
"KIDS!" Bowser yelled. The Koopa King growled at Sephiroth. He shoots out his Fire Breath to attempt to burn the SOLDIER. Bowser stops breathing fire, leaving trails of fire all around where he attacked. He sees Sephiroth standing unphased around the flames. "WHAT?!" The Koopa King yelled in confusion.
Sephiroth raises his head and angrily glares at Bowser as the flames trailed around him. "Such pathetic display." He says.
Sephiroth dashes at Bowser and stabs the Koopa King in the stomach. Bowser roared in pain. Sephiroth pulls his sword out of Bowser's stomach. The Koopa King falls to his knees, then falls on his face. Sephiroth smirked.
Sephiroth quickly jumps out of the way of Samus as she tries to punch the white haired swordsman with her arm cannon. Sephiroth flies up and motions to approach him. Samus shoots at Sephiroth with blaster shots, but the swordsman simply deflected every blast by twirling his sword in circles. Samus jumps up in the air to attack Sephiroth. Sephiroth raises his hand and casts Flare at Samus and sends the space bounty hunter crashing down back to the ground.
R.O.B and Ridley fly to the skies to chase after Sephiroth. R.O.B shoots a laser beam from his eyes at Sephiroth. Sephiroth deflects the beam by flicking it to the side with his hand. He retaliates by shooting two blade beams from Masamune to hit R.O.B and send the robot crashing back down to the ground.
Ridley attempts to bite Sephiroth, but he dodges out of the way in time. Ridley uses his spiked tail to skewer Sephiroth. Sephiroth barely moves aside to dodge the attack and grabs Ridley's tail. The SOLDIER flies down to the ground, dragging Ridley with him. Sephiroth slams the Space Pirate down to the ground and stabs Ridley in his chest. Ridley roared in pain, coughing out blood.
Sephiroth takes Masamune out of Ridley's chest. He raises his hand and charges Mega Flare. He casts Mega Flare at Olimar, Alph, the Villagers, the Wii Fit trainers, Ryu, Ken, and Isabelle, hitting them all in an explosion. Sephiroth charges another Mega Flare and launches it at Banjo and Kazooie, the Ice Climbers, the Inklings, Steve, Alex, Pac Man, Duck Hunt, Piranha Plant, Game and Watch, and Little Mac to easily get rid of them.
Sephiroth turns around to see Red and Leaf throwing their Pokeballs in the air to summon Squirtle, Ivysaur, Charizard, Pikachu, Pichu, and Jigglypuff.
"Squirtle! Ivysaur! Charizard! Hit him with a Triple Finish!" Red commanded.
Squirtle uses Hydro Pump, Ivysaur uses Hyper Beam, and Charizard uses Fire Blast all together at Sephiroth. Sephiroth puts his forearm in front of him and takes the full force of the attack. Sephiroth then deflects all of the attacks from the Pokemons and shoots a Mega Flare at the Pokemon Trainers. Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard stood in front of their trainers to shield them as much as they could from the deadly attack, they were all sent flying.
Jigglypuff uses Roll Out on Sephiroth, but the SOLDIER simply kicks Jigglypuff to the sky and sends her flying.
"What a joke." Sephiroth commented with an unimpressed look.
Pikachu comes charging in with blue sparks circling around him. Pikachu turns into a ball of electricity and uses Volt Tackle to attack Sephiroth. Sephiroth raises his hand and stops the ball of electricity. The Volt Tackle couldn't even make Sephiroth move an inch from his spot. The electric mouse eventually tires out and returns to normal. Sephiroth throws Pikachu aside and sends him flying with a horizontal slash.
Sephiroth smiles. He suddenly feels a small spark in his body, he looks at himself to see that was getting hit by a Thunderbolt. Sephiroth turns around to see that it was Pichu attacking him. He begins to slowly approach the small mouse Pokemon. Pichu uses another Thunderbolt at Sephiroth, but it still couldn't phase the white haired swordsman. Pichu began to tire out from the recoil of his electric attacks and fell over.
Sephiroth looks down at Pichu and smiles at the Pokemon. "I'll give you credit for standing your ground to fight me. However…"
Sephiroth grabs Pichu by the neck and lifts him up off the ground while choking him. The small Pokemon started to cry for help.
"It doesn't make your decision any less foolish you weak creature." Sephiroth says.
Sephiroth continued to choke Pichu. He then sensed that there was someone approaching him from behind. He throws Pichu aside in a random direction and sees Lucario coming from the sky to Focus Punch him, using Extreme Speed to help boost his speed. Sephiroth attempts to slice at Lucario, but the aura Pokemon quickly disappears away from the attack.
Afterimages of Lucario began to circle around Sephiroth at high speeds. Sephiroth wasn't bothered by this, but he was a little impressed by the Pokemon. A being that actually peaked his interest, but only for a short amount of time.
The real Lucario appears out of the afterimages and attacks with a Focus Punch. Sephiroth dodges out of the way of the attack. Lucario's eyes widened in shock.
"How was he still able to detect my movements?!" Lucario wondered.
Sephiroth launches Lucario in the air with a horizontal sword slash, he then flies up to Lucario and spikes the aura back down to the ground with a downward sword slash.
Sephiroth flies back down to the ground. The Heroes all came charging at Sephiroth. Eleven uses Flame Slash at Sephiroth, the white haired swordsman parries the attack and counters by slicing at the side of Eleven's stomach and roundhouse kicking him in the face. Solo cast Kaboom at Sephiroth. Sephiroth deflects the Kaboom back at Solo and makes him take the full impact of the explosion.
Arusu and Eight charge into to attack Sephiroth with a vertical sword slash. Sephiroth uses Scintilla to guard the attack and sends the two heroes flying with Scintilla, leaving them both in bad condition.
Without even looking, Sephiroth grabs an Ancient Arrow that was coming at his head. He frowned. "To attack me with such feeble toys," Sephiroth breaks the Ancient Arrow and turns to Link, who was the one who shot the arrow. "Draw your sword if you wish to fight me. Hero." He mocked.
Link takes out his Master Hand and Hylian Shield. Sephiroth charges at Link and the two clash swords. Link blocks downward slash from Sephiroth with his Hylian Shield. Sephiroth swings his swords at Link's legs, but the Hylian Champion front flips over the attack and over Sephiroth. Link attempts to hit Sephiroth with a Helm Splitter, but Sephiroth quickly blocks the attempt.
Link turns around and attempts to hit Sephiroth a horizontal slash, but he quickly jumps backwards away from the attack. Link charges in with a dashing vertical sword slash. Sephiroth dashes out of the way and snaps his fingers to hit Link with Shadow Flare.
Link winces in pain. He looks around himself to see that he was now surrounded by five dark energy orbs. Sephiroth snaps fingers again and the five orbs all hit Link, causing the Champion of Hyrule to fall to his knees.
Young Link and Toon Link jump in to try and save the adult Hylian, but Sephiroth uses a horizontal sword slash to easily knock away the two young Hylian heroes.
Sephiroth then turns his attention to another group of smashers. He grips on Masamune and grins. He uses Octaslash to take down Captain Falcon, Terry, Fox, Falco, Wolf, Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, King K. Rool, the Belmonts, Min Min, Dark Samus, Ness, Lucas, and Snake. The barrage of sword slashes were so fast that neither of them could react in time to get out of the way.
As Sephiroth looked over at all the unconscious smashers around him with a satisfied grin on his face, there was one figure that was still standing. The Psychic Pokemon Mewtwo glared at the SOLDIER.
"You. You are an experiment." Mewtwo simply said.
Sephiroth grinned in amusement. "Take one to know one. I'm impressed by your ability to read minds. But can you keep my interest before I end your life?"
"That is if you can." Mewtwo replied.
Mewtwo raises his hand and begins to shoot multiple mini Shadow Balls at Sephiroth. Sephiroth deflects all of the Shadow Balls by spinning Masamune around. Sephiroth flies to Mewtwo and attempts to stab the genetic Pokemon, but Mewtwo teleports out of the way. Sephiroth uses Flare against Mewtwo. Mewtwo reflects the Flare back at Sephiroth using his mind. Sephiroth deflects the Flare by smacking it away with his hand.
Mewtwo appears above Sephiroth and attempts to hit him with his tail. Sephiroth dodges out of the way and grabs Mewtwo's tail, slamming him on the ground. Sephiroth goes for a downward stab, but Mewtwo teleports away again. Mewtwo reappears in front of Sephiroth and uses his disable to temporarily stagger the SOLDIER. Mewtwo uses this opportunity to hit Sephiroth in the chest with a Shadow Claw, causing the swordsman to stumble back.
Sephiroth places his hand on his chest. While the attack didn't leave any bruises on the SOLDIER's body, Mewtwo was the first one to make him feel any sort of pain from an attack. He didn't like that one bit. Sephiroth snarled at Mewtwo.
"That actually hurt. I'll give you credit, you actually landed a blow that did some sort of damage. But it will be the last attack you ever land on me." Sephiroth tightened his grip on Masamune.
A black wing sprouts out of Sephiroth's back. Dark aura began to flow around the swordsman. Mewtwo sense a sudden power surge within Sephiroth. Twice as powerful than his base form. It made the psychic Pokemon worried.
Sephiroth teleports and appears in front of Mewtwo, catching him by surprise and launching the Pokemon in the air with a vertical sword slash. Sephiroth flies up and hits Mewtwo with three sword slashes and spikes him back down to the ground with a downward slash.
Sephiroth flies back down to the ground. He looks to see Lucina and Chrom charging at him. The two Ylissians clash swords with Sephiroth. Sephiroth uses his strength to push back both Lucina and Chrom. Lucina charges at Sephiroth and attempts to stab him, but the white haired swordsman parries the attack with Masamune. Sephiroth punches Lucina in the stomach, making her cough up spit. He grabs the Ylissean Princess face and slams her face down to the ground.
"You are too weak to challenge me." Sephiroth told her.
"LUCINA!" Chrom and Dark Pit both screamed.
Chrom grits his teeth and grips on his Parallel Falchion. "Bastard! I'll cut you down where you stand for hurting my daughter!" He yelled.
Before Chrom could even bother to move however, Sephiroth uses Blade Dash to cut past Chrom. Sephiroth looks behind him to see that he had torn through Chrom's clothing and left a scar on his stomach. Chrom falls to the ground, holding on to his stomach with blood beginning to leak from his stomach.
Sephiroth smiles at his work. He turns his head to see two Thorons coming at him. The two thunder spells manage to connect. Rob and Robin stood in the distance with their thunder tomes in their hands.
"Please tell me that did some damage to him…" Robin pleaded.
"Unfortunately, I don't think we're lucky…" Rob stated.
When the smoke cleared, Sephiroth stood unaffected by the thunder spells. He casts Mega Flare at the two tacticians and blows them away.
"Your magic could never compare to mine." Sephiroth commented.
Pit and Dark Pit stood in anger at Sephiroth hurting their family and loved one. Palutena also felt a little worried when looking at Sephiroth. There was something about the SOLDIER. He wasn't a God. He was something...different. But the Goddess of Light couldn't put her finger on it. Even Ganondorf was curious about what Sephiroth was.
Sephiroth looks over to the smashers. He smiles. "Are you my next victims?" He points Masamune to the group. "What will you do? Stand there and make things easier for me? Or would you rather you test your luck against me?" He teased.
Dark Pit growled. "I can't stand around and just let this asshole get away with what he did to Lucina and Chrom! I'm getting sick of looking at that grin of yours!" He yells.
"I'm with Pittoo on this one! Your face is SUPER punchable right now! You hurt my girlfriend and my friends! No way am I just going to walk away without me kicking your face in! Let's do this Pittoo!" Pit says.
"Way ahead of you!" Dark Pit replied.
Palutena puts her staff in front of the angel twins to stop them from approaching Sephiroth. "No! Do not engage in battle with him! You saw what he did to everyone else! I'm not going to risk putting you two in danger! I've almost lost you two before! I won't let it happen again!" She tells them.
Pit and Dark Pit move back behind Palutena. As much as they didn't like the idea, they understood Palutena's paranoia.
"How chivalrous. But you cannot delay your inevitable doom. I will be sure you all perish by the steel of my blade." Sephiroth says. "But it will wait. I have more fools who dare to challenge me."
Sephiroth jumps in the air and does a backflip over a Phantom Soldier that Zelda sent to attack Sephiroth. The white haired swordsman turns his attention to Zelda and Sheik standing side by side. Sephiroth sends two blade beams at the two Hylians. Sheik vanishes out of the way of the attack while Zelda nullifies the projectile with Nayru's Love.
Sheik came running at Sephiroth at full speed, taking out the blade from behind her back. She slashes at Sephiroth, which the swordsman easily parries away. Sephiroth attempts to slash at Sheik, but the ninja was able to backflip out of the way in time. Sheik takes out ten needles and throws them at Sephiroth. Sephiroth deflects all the needles with Masamune.
Zelda sends two Din's Fire at Sephiroth. Sephiroth jumps out of the way of the two fire spells and charges at Zelda at high speed. Sephiroth attempts to skewer Zelda with a downward thrust, but Zelda blocks the attack with Nayru's Love and pushes Sephiroth away.
Sephiroth lands back on the ground. Sheik comes down from the sky using Bouncing Fish to attack Sephiroth. Sephiroth blocks the Bouncing Fish, but Sheik safely gets away. The sheikah lands on the ground. Unbeknownst to the SOLDIER was that there was a Burst Grenade between his legs. Sheik pulls the string from her bomb and blows up Sephiroth.
While an effective maneuver, it still proved not enough against the One Winged Angel. Sephiroth comes out of the explosion and punches Sheik in the jaw with a right hook. Sephiroth grabs Sheik's leg before she is sent flying and slams her on the ground twice. Sephiroth held Sheik by her leg and looks down at the ninja aching in pain.
"Let this pain be a reminder of who you're dealing with." Sephiroth tells her.
Sephiroth lets Sheik go and kicks her in the stomach to send her away. Sephiroth flies over to Sheik to attack her again.
"Sheik!" Zelda screamed. The Hylian Princess uses Farore's Wind to teleport to Sheik and shield her from Sephiroth's assault.
Sheik weakly raises her hand to Zelda. "Z-Zelda… No…" She muttered.
Sephiroth knees Zelda in the stomach and makes her cough up spit. With one attack, the Hylian Princess fell to the ground beside her Sheikah retainer unconscious. This satisfied the SOLDIER enough to walk away and pick back up Masamune that Sheik made him drop with her Burst Grenade.
But suddenly, a blue streak passes by and punches Sephiroth in the face. Sephiroth puts his hand on his jaw and rubs it. He then gets punched again at light speed in the chest, making him stumble back. Sephiroth was now starting to get visibly frustrated. He casts Flare in front of him to stop Sonic in his track by setting up a pillar of flames in front of him.
"Woah!" Sonic screamed, stopping himself from running into the flames.
Sephiroth comes out the flames and claws Sonic away with a darkness infused hand. "Infuriating rodent." He sneered. He continued to walk over to grab Masamune.
Meanwhile in the distance, Shulk, The Aegis Blades, Rex, the Eisner Twins, Rosalina, and Sothis had their eyes locked on the One Winged Angel. Shulk in particular was visibly frustrated. Seeing all his friends getting hurt one by one by Sephiroth. Seeing Rob had set the Foreseer off.
"I'm going over there to fight him! I have to do something!" Shulk says.
"You don't even have a strategy to fight him. Are you just going to charge at him foolishly?!" Alvis questioned.
"Alvis is right. It is foolish for you to approach Sephiroth head on." Rosalina agreed.
"Well it's better than standing here and let him continue what he's doing! You've seen everyone he's hurt! I have to do something!"
"And risk getting yourself killed. Think for a second Shulk! Even the really strong fighters are struggling against this enemy! How do you believe you will fair?!" Sothis says.
"Sothis is right. Fighting him is clearly dangerous right now." Byleth stated.
"We can't risk getting ourselves killed like this. Put your emotions aside for a second and use reason Shulk!" Beth stated.
Shulk growled angrily. "Then just stand back with Sothis and let me handle this. I'm not standing on the sidelines anymore." He turns to Pyra, Mythra, and Rex. "You two protect Rex at all cost!" He tells Pyra and Mythra.
"Shulk, you're not seriously going to fight that guy are you?!" Rex questioned in a worried tone.
"Shulk please…" Pyra pleaded.
"Your chances of survival are slim if you go out to fight the way you are." Mythra warned.
"Trust me, I can handle this. Just look after Rex." Shulk assures them.
Shulk begins running to the direction of where Sephiroth was. He gripped on his Monado tightly with both of his hands. With Sephiroth's back turned, he could attempt to hit him with a Backslash. Mega Man appears beside Shulk and runs beside him.
"I'll back you up!" Mega Man assures him.
Shulk nods. "Alright. Let's hit him hard Mega!"
Sephiroth picks up Masamune from the ground. He could sense Shulk and Mega Man coming behind him. The white man swordsman chuckled to himself. He found it amusing that the two smashers thought he was stupid to fall for such foolish tactics. Well he was going to teach them the errors of their ways.
Sephiroth begins to charge up Gigaflare in his hand. "Burn to nothing." He muttered.
Sephiroth throws the Gigaflare at Shulk and Mega Man, hitting them both with a giant explosion. Sephiroth turns and walks away with a grin on his face. Greninja uses Shadow Sneak to teleport behind Sephiroth to try and hit him with a dive kick. Bayonetta appears behind Sephiroth using Bats Within and attempts to hit him with a divekick. Sephiroth knocks them both away easily with horizontal sword slash.
Sephiroth turns his attention to Mario and flies over to the plumber. Mario gasps in horror. Sephiroth stabs Mario with Masamune and lifts up the plumber with his sword.
"MARIOOOOOOOOO!" Luigi, Peach, Daisy, and Yoshi cried in horror.
Strangely enough, Mario didn't feel any cold steel in his body. The plumber slowly opens his eyes, surprised to see that he hadn't actually been stabbed. Sephiroth was holding him up by one of the straps of his overalls. Mario looks over to Sephiroth who was chuckling to himself. While relieved that he wasn't dead, Mario was still in the clutches of this deranged lunatic.
"Did I scare you?" Sephiroth teasingly asked. Sephiroth looks beside him to see Luigi rocketing towards him using Green Missile.
"You let Mario go!" Luigi yelled.
Sephiroth flicks Mario off of Masamune and launches him at Luigi, causing the Mario Brothers to crash into each other's heads. Yoshi Flutter Jumps in the air and attempts to Ground Pound Sephiroth. Sephiroth easily counters the attack with Scintilla and sends Yoshi flying. Sephiroth uses Blade Dash to send both Peach and Daisy flying with ease.
Sephiroth looks around at the carnage he had caused to the smashers. A lot of them unconscious, some severely injured, and some bleeding out. While there were some that were still on their feet, he knew that he had them too scared to try and fight him. However, there were still a few stragglers left that Sephiroth had yet to torment.
Sephiroth looks over at Corrin and Kamui. Corrin and Kamui felt their hearts begin to race when Sephiroth locked eyes on them. Corrin still had an unconscious Cloud in his arms. Sephiroth began to slowly approach the dragon twins. Corrin places Cloud down gently and the ground and takes out his Omega Yato.
Corrin looks over to his sister. "Kamui, protect Cloud! I'll fight Sephir-AHHH!" The half-dragon boy screamed in pain as Sephiroth stabbed him through his stomach.
"CORRIN!" Kamui yelled. The half-dragon girl attempts to save her twin, but gets knocked down to the ground with a backhand by Sephiroth.
Sephiroth lifts Corrin up with Masamune and flicks him off to the ground, leaving the King of Valla to bleed. Sephiroth turns his attention to Kamui. The silver haired princess started crawling away. Fear all across her face, her heart beating rapidly as Sephiroth got closer to her.
Sephiroth points his sword at Kamui's neck. "So, you were the one taking Cloud away from me." He said.
Kamui was confused by this statement. "W-What are you…?"
"Cloud and I has spent a lot of quality time together. We have a very deep connection. Got the time to rekindle our relationship. But you… you kept appearing in his memories constantly. You were very special to him. I'll admit, I felt a little jealous. That left me with one option," Sephiroth lifts Masamune above him. "To take away everything precious from him." He smirked.
Kamui shuts her eyes and braces herself as Sephiroth swung his sword down at the dragon princess. But she didn't feel a sword go through her body, she instead hears two swords clashing with each other. Kamui opens up her eyes and gasps to see that Cloud was in front of her protecting her from Sephiroth's attack.
"Cloud! You're alive!" Kamui says ecstatically.
Cloud and Sephiroth lock eyes with each other. Cloud's face showing an expression of anger and hatred. Sephiroth kept a grin on his face.
"So you've finally awakened. I'm starting to get a little annoyed with your tenacity Cloud. Things would be easier if you would just die." Sephiroth says.
"Sephiroth. I won't let you hurt Kamui. You son of a bitch." Cloud growled.
"Come now Cloud, what I do to Kamui would be quick and easy compared to what you've done to hurt her. You've betrayed her and broken her heart because of your mistakes. What about how she feels? How do you think your son will feel?"
Kamui ears perk up at the mention of her future son. "Kana…?" She muttered.
"SHUT UP!" Cloud yelled at Sephiroth. "This is between me and you Sephiroth! This has nothing to do with Kamui or Kana!"
"On the contrary, this has everything to do with your son. How hurt he must be that mommy and daddy don't love each other anymore. That is if he even still exists," Sephiroth turns his attention to Kamui. "Will you tell Cloud what's happened to your heart Kamui?" He grinned.
Kamui's heart stopped. "H-How did you…?"
Cloud looks over to Kamui in confusion. "Kamui? What is talking about?" He asks.
Kamui looks down with a pained expression. Cloud doesn't know that the Phantom Thieves had changed her heart. They also informed her that due to her change of heart, they had affected time itself. Kana had been erased from existence in this timeline. The thought of it still hurts Kamui.
Sephiroth flies back away from Cloud. "I will leave it to her to tell you. It's too bad that I won't be able to see you on your knees crying in shame at what you've done," He mocked. "With the God of Chaos and Darkness by my side, everything will soon drown into darkness. This realm, our realm, all realms. Bending time and space as I see fit. To take back the planet my mother Jenova laid out for me."
Cloud points his Fusion Sword at Sephiroth. "You're not getting away with this Sephiroth! I'll stop you!" He declared.
"Try as you might. But you will soon see everything you love taking away from you," Sephiroth sticks his arms out and looks up to the dark red sky. "Now. Drown in darkness."
Dharkon lets out a roar and unleashes a wave of darkness all over. A dark tornado began to form, destroying and breaking apart the cliffside. All the smashers were sucked into the tornado. Cloud and Kamui were beginning to separate from each other while in the tornado.
"Cloud!" Kamui yelled as she reached her hand out to Cloud.
"Kamui!" Cloud yelled. He grabs Kamui's hand and pulls her to him, embracing her tightly. "Hang on to me!" He tells her.
"Don't let go of me Cloud! Please!" She cried.
"I won't…" Cloud assures her.
The two close their eyes and cling onto each other. Unsure of the fate of themselves, their friends, and the world as the darkness swallowed them.
"I told you Cloud. I will never be a memory."
Author's Note: With that, another chapter completed. Leaving things very ambiguous. It was joy writing Sephiroth absolutely lay waste to the smashers, he is one of the strongest characters to be in Ultimate canonically. Of course, there were some characters who didn't get special ways of getting beat or went out like jobbers. There's like 80+ characters here. Can't do it for everyone. Also the ones who didn't fight were under special circumstances like Palutena not wanting the Pits to fight, the Aegis Blades needing to protect Rex, and Sothis not risking her twins getting hurt.
For some who are probably wondering why Shulk may have been a little OOC. Well I mean, he foolishly runs into a Giga Flare trying to fight Sephiroth head on. I was just mimicking that.
I know Krosshair just recently posted a chapter in his WOL story where he also had a big Sephiroth fight scene. His is much different from mine. My Sephiroth is more inspired by Advent Children/Final Fantasy VII Remake Sephiroth. So hey, you're gonna get two different flavors of Sephiroth from two different authors.
So...what happens now to the smashers? Well, you'll have to see when I upload the next chapter.
