Chapter 3: First day Part 3: Gohan vs Videl. The Legendary Super Saiyan

Last time

Sharpner cocks his right fist behind him. He runs at Gohan with all his energy and yells out "Super Megaton Punch!" The blond jumps into the air and delivers a punch between Gohan's eyes. Now, normally this punch would probably send any normal fighter flying out of the ring but come on. Is Gohan really a normal fighter?

The whole class is in shock. Gohan has effortlessly caught Sharpner's punch…

Now

I honestly feel bad for today's fighters. They are so deceived by Mr. Satan's actions, that they can't even improve and become a true martial artist! If this guy knew how to use even a fraction of his Ki, perhaps he could've landed this so-called super megaton punch and hit me. It's a shame really, I feel bad for him. Maybe I should let him win…yeah no. Gohan ponders.

He is quickly brought back to the real world by an astonishing face from Sharpner. "B-But h-how? That was my finishing move! How did you block it?" Sharpner yells out in anger as well as sadness. How can this scrawny nerd able to make a fool out of me!? Me the captain of the boxing club, me Mr. Satan's star pupil, me the only boy that can come in a meter distance close to Videl. Then something hits Sharpner's small brain. This nerd could take Videl…no, no, no, no! No! He thinks. He refuses to think of the worse.

With all his might he releases a fury of punches and kicks at Gohan but it's just too slow and too weak. He catches Sharpner's incoming punch and with one swift movement, he pulls the adversary's arm back and knees him in the stomach knocking him out cold. Gohan knew he should've let Sharpner win this fight but the Saiyan blood inside of him just won't allow it.

Everyone stares in shock at Gohan's feat but snapping out of his state of awe the coach rushes to Sharpner's side and checks his pulse. He breathes a sigh of relief and glares at Gohan.

"Listen just because you are good at Martial Arts doesn't mean can just go and knock someone out. You could've done much worse because I could tell you were holding back. You can go sit on the sidelines. You are good but the only advice I can give you for this lesson is to try to hold back"

Gohan nods and starts to walk to the bleachers until…

"Hey wait up! Come back here I want to fight you now" A familiar voice calls out to him. Gohan turns his head back towards the subject of the voice and immediately begins to sweat. You can't be serious. He thinks to himself as he Looks at Videl who is standing on the matt ready to fight him.

IN SPACE

Far away in another galaxy, a large space ship with hundreds of passengers on board was making its way to the milky way galaxy. In this ship was the commander who was sitting in the main room of the first-class deck watching the outskirts of space through his large window. He always enjoyed looking at planets, asteroids, and even stars but that wasn't the subject going on in his head. Something more 'entertaining' was occupying his mind.

He was plotting his sweet revenge against the Saiyan prince. Even though the prince did nothing wrong his father did, and so he will endure the punishment that should've been bestowed on his father. The commander grins at his next thought. We will kill his family and friends one by one while forcing him to watch. Then my son will murder him in ice-cold blood.

His thoughts came to a close by a beeping noise coming from his scouter which indicates a power level is approaching him. A power level he was all too familiar with. He turns around to face the power and grins.

"Hey son, you seem tired" The commander admits.

"Hey dad, um I'm going to bed shortly. I just wanted to know the time?"

His offspring asks in a yawn. The commander frowns. It surprises him how his son can be so innocent in his current state but when it comes to that deadly power inside of him, it's a whole other story. The commander will never forget that horrifying day when his son lost all control. The day his son planted fear into him…

Flashback/2 YEARS AGO

The commander was watching from afar as his son was going on a rampage, destroying planet after planet. A few hours earlier, the commander and his son had gotten into an argument. The commander believed that the innocent should be killed if they don't have any information while his son thinks that the innocent should be spared. In the end, he won the confrontation and his son ran away but what he didn't know was where to.

Later that night the commander was awoken by his servant. "Commander, Commander! Wake up please!" He woke up and demanded an explanation.

"What is the meaning of this disturbance attendant #36!" He yelled at his servant.

"I-It's your son s-sir his destroying South galaxy" The servant stuttered out.

The commander blasted his servant out of the way as he rushed to locate his son. He used a makeshift ship and blasted off to the South galaxy but when he arrived, he was terrified at what he saw. His son had this evil smile on his face, he was in this extraordinary bulky form that spiked up his hair and finally, he was surrounded by a green aura. He also had no pupils in his eyes but these details didn't scare him. His son's actions planted fear in the commander.

The commander was watching from afar as his son was blowing up planet after planet with ease it seems. He's doing all of this while keeping that evil grin on his face. Eventually, Broly's rampage of planets came to an end and he passed out due to the mental toll the transformation had on him. The commander caught his son in mid-space and had taken him back to the planet they had lived on at the time. It was at that moment that the commander knew that he feared his son but he also realized that his son could be used as the perfect weapon to take down prince Vegeta.

End of Flashback

The commander will never forget that horrifying day when his son transformed into that monster. He knew his son was a Saiyan but not just any normal Saiyan. You see in Saiyan culture a legend is told from generation after generation. The legend is dubbed 'The legendary Super Saiyan'.

The ancient Saiyan book of folklore says that every one thousand years an extraordinary Saiyan appears. A Saiyan with so much power that the person who has the power goes insane when wielding the power. The book states that the legendary Super Saiyan power is a blessing but a curse as well.

The commander knew that without a doubt that his offspring is the Legendary Super Saiyan. His son is a calm and collective boy but once he transforms into that monster, he is a whole other being. A being of mass destruction but he knew in dew time that his son's power will be of good use. The commander is then awoken from his thoughts.

"Father, father, father?" His son calls out while tapping his shoulder.

"Oh um, sorry Son I spaced out there. The time is 22: 48. You should get some sleep"

"Yeah, I will but one more thing. How long is it till we arrive on Earth?" He questions.

"Two more years son but why do you ask?"

"I was just curious father. Goodnight!" His son calls out as he walks off.

"Goodnight…"

…Broly…

BACK ON EARTH

After witnessing Gohan effortlessly beat Sharpner, Videl just knew she had to get a shot at Gohan and after begging the coach to allow them to fight, she finally convinced him. She called Gohan out to fight and he seemed reluctant at first but seemed to give in. He got into his stance as well as herself. If he thinks I'm as simple as Sharpner his in for a treat.

Meanwhile with Gohan. What the hell? Out of all the people she could've chosen to fight her, she had to choose me. I mean I did take down that guy pretty easily earlier but still! Oh god, how did I get myself in this situation anyway? You know speaking of god, I should congratulate him for putting me in this mess.

ON THE LOOKOUT

"Mr. Popo quick hide me, please! He's going to kill me!" Dende begs as he cowards behind Mr. Popo.

"What do you mean he's going to kill you?" Mr. Popo asks as tries to calm Dende down.

"G-Gohan…"

BACK AT ORANGE STAR MIDDLE SCHOOL

The stage is finally set for Gohan and Videl to fight. They are in their stances. The crowd was surrounding the matt and both fighters are ready. The coach decides it time to begin

"Ready, set, GO!" The coach yells out.

Videl rushes towards Gohan at high speed. She starts by doing a one-arm cartwheel kick which takes Gohan by surprise but he still sees it coming and pushes Videl's leg away with his arm. He tries to roundhouse kick Videl which she barely dodges. She then tries to uppercut her opponent but he blocks the incoming punch and does a flash kick which knocks Videl back creating some distance between the two. Videl rubs her chin and is surprised to see a little bit of blood. Wow, he's good compared to all the other fighters I fought in the past but still his not the best. She reflects as she drops back into her stance while smirking at Gohan.

Gohan was surprised, to say the least. He didn't expect Videl to be this good at martial arts, sure he lowered his power level just below hers making it a battle of pure skill but still. He never expected this! Gohan smirks as he drops back into his stance as well. She's defiantly leagues above her father.

The wind blows as two great martial artists stare each other down, each in their respective stances, each an offspring of a champion, and each is proud to be called a defender of justice. The coach looks down on his watch which reads 1: 29 PM.

A few seconds go by and when the clock finally strikes 1:30 the pair rush each other at full speed. As Videl approaches Gohan she fronts flip over him. While in midair she tries to kick his head with her right foot but Gohan anticipates this and crouches down. When Videl lands on her feet, Gohan does a low spinning sweep kick that trips Videl and causes her to land on her back. Taking advantage of her position Gohan tries to put Videl in a head-scissor lock but Ultimately fails because Videl is quick on her feet and punches Gohan square in the face which connects…but Gohan isn't the one who feels pain here.

"OW! What the fuck are you made of!" Videl screeches while holding her sore hand in pain. She takes deep breaths and powers through the pain and faces Gohan once again. She goes into a handstand and what she does next completely takes Gohan by surprise. She puts both her legs on Gohan's shoulders and locks them against Gohan's neck and Gohan's not going lie it stung a little bit.

Using the lock to her advantage she pushes herself over Gohan's shoulder but before she lands on the ground, she grabs Gohan's face taking him with her to the ground, and just before they land, she slams his head on the ground combining it with the impact of the landing. She gets up from the ground gasping for breath. That attack was a move she has mastered over the years but it took a lot out of her.

Videl has done it, she has beaten Gohan…or so it seems. The crowd was clapping for her as well as cheering her name. The coach begins to count.

"One, Two, Three…"

Meanwhile with our 'supposedly' knocked out Hybrid. I guess this is the part where I let her win. I have to make this look real. Dammit, why does my Saiyan side want me to win so badly? Fuck! He curses in his head. Sigh Come on I can do this, I can lose!

"Four, Five, Six…"

Come on Gohan, taking an L won't do you any harm just relax and DON'T STAND UP! He commands himself.

"Seven, Eight, N-Ni…" Before he can continue, Gohan slowly starts to rise and faces Videl once again with a determined look.

Videl's eye goes wide and her jaw drops. "H-How did y-y you survive my attack" Videl stutters out loud. The crowd was just as astonished as her.

Gohan grins confidently. "Maybe you should've kicked a bit harder" Gohan replies. This answer doesn't sit well with Videl and makes her furious. She growls at him and rushes at him in a blind rage.

"I'll show you harder!" Videl calls out as she attacks Gohan with various punches and kicks.

Gohan easily avoids her incoming attacks while still smirking at her mockingly. He avoids the incoming punch and delivers his punch to her face knocking her back at the edge of the matt. It goes back and forth like this every time. Videl tries to land some attacks but Gohan would always dodge or counter. Eventually, he got Videl into a corner.

"What is wrong Videl? I thought you were the daughter of the great Hercule. the determining crime fighter, the second strongest fighter in the world just behind your father. You and your father mocked the greatest fighters who fought on that fateful day 2 years ago. One of them died that day yet you continue to bad mouth him. You talk the talk yet you can't walk the walk when represented a challenge in front of you. You think you all high and mighty but what about now? Your father is a fraud and you have no idea why. It's shame really" Gohan explains just hard enough for the crowd to hear.

Videl had no idea what Gohan was talking about but for some reason, it stung Videl mentally and she begins to tear up. Gohan stands over her and gets ready to deliver the final blow.

"You disgust me" Gohan's final words were. He cocks his hand back and aims it at Videl's face. The students close their eyes not wanting to witness Videl's knockout. Videl prepares herself ready to accept her fate. Gohan throws the punch but it never hits its target. Videl as well as the other student notices this and they open their eyes. Videl frowns at what she is seeing. Gohan's eyes were trembling. Almost as if he was questioning what he is doing at the moment.

What the hell am I doing? Gohan ponders. He gets a clear look at Videl's eyes. They were so blue, blue like the ocean and the tears that were occupying her eyes made them shine more. At that moment Gohan questioned if he was staring at a goddess. He was about to punch Videl in the face but why? It must be his Saiyan blood triggering something inside of him. Gohan then thinks for a while. He felt this confident, cocky, and fearless feeling before but were. His eyes go wide in realization.

The Cell games

He gets of Videl and gives her an apologetic voice. "Videl I'm sorry I don't know what came over me. I'm not normally like this" He finishes before running off to wherever. All he knew was he had to run where nobody would look at him weirdly

Authors Note: Good evening everyone! I hope you enjoyed this chapter. So, you guys are probably going to have any questions about this chapter so listen up or read up, Whatever. I mixed legendary Super Saiyan Broly with a little bit of Super Broly. He is innocent but deadly and I refuse to write a character who gets angry just because someone was constantly crying next to him. If you noticed that Gohan's personality is slightly different from the Saiyaman saga Gohan then let me give you a few reasons as to why. He's still 13 years old and he doesn't have as much control over his emotions as his 16-year-old counterpart. He is at the starting point of puberty. He gets overconfident quickly just like he did against Cell and finally my personal favorite the writer wants to make Gohan seem like a badass because Gohan is his favorite dragon ball character (Which I promise won't happen again).
