"Oh, I need to take this. Excuse me for one minute, okay?" Alex washes her hands in the sink as Mason wipes his on the kitchen towel. His phone was ringing and he seemed to be in a hurry to answer it, so Alex made a suggestion.

"That's okay, just answer it here. It sounds important." Mason looks like a deer caught in headlights, stopping in his tracks as Alex wipes her hands on the kitchen towel before shoving a fork into her grotesque recreation of her mother's world-famous enchiladas. They looked more like melted bananas with the way Alex overcooked everything.

"Um, actually it's a family thing, I need to...yeah." Alex flings a dirty wooden spoon into the sink with a clang.

"That wasn't dodgy at all." She shrugs off his odd behavior as Harper and Zeke enter the living room in high spirits. Alex could tell from the grins on their faces that Harper told Zeke about her amazing job opportunity and college acceptance. Alex could also tell that Zeke had yet to figure out that this means Harper will be leaving him, too.

"Hey Alex, guess what? Mr. Frenchy works with Zeke's parents and since he has connections, Zeke will be joining me on our trip around the world!" Alex drops her fork, her mouth hanging open as her best friend breaks the news to her.

"What?! Are you serious, first I hear that you're leaving and now I find out he's going with you? Agh, Justin's gonna be devastated." Harper smirks as soon as those word's leave her normally sarcastic friend's mouth.

"Yeah, he is. Just admit it, you love him." Alex groans, glaring at Harper as the redhead digs into her enchilada mountain.

"I do not. I just don't wanna deal with the tears and constant whining." She shrugs, satisfied with her answer as she offers Zeke a bite.

"Ooo spicy." He pops one into his mouth, licking his lips after tasting the snack.

"I didn't add any spices." Zeke turns pale, his lips now a light coral shade as he realizes that he didn't eat an enchilada.

"It's moving! Ew, ew, get it off me!" Zeke screeches. Alex bites her teeth before waving her wand and teleporting the half-eaten animal back to Max's room.

"Sorry, it was Max's pet lizard. He got a new one to replace the one he killed some time back. Eh, it'll grow back." Zeke wordlessly leaves the room, hopping down the spiral staircase to go out through the substation. He couldn't even look at the Russo family home without gagging now.

"Thanks a lot, Alex, now Zeke won't want to hang out in my room anymore." Alex scoffs at her friend's dismay.

"What made you think he wanted to hang out there in the first place?" Harper resists the urge to strangle her best friend before calming herself down and putting her hand back on her arm.

"I'll have you know, Zeke doesn't mind going anywhere, as long as he's with me." Harper's statement reminds Alex of her own boyfriend, as she wonders what's taking so long for him to return. He must have a really big family problem if they're making him skip out on date night.

"That's great, I'm happy for you. Just tell him I'm sorry about the lizard, I didn't see it crawl in there until the end so I'm guessing he just crawled on top of the same piece Zeke took by coincidence?" Alex shrugs as Harper groans on the countertop, resting her head on the empty space Alex reserved for Mason's plate.

"I can't believe I'm going all around the world with Zeke and I'm leaving you all alone."

"Oh don't worry about me...you. I think you and Zeke should worry about what you're gonna wear when you attend Mr. Frenchy's fashion shows." Harper shrieks in excitement, her mood turning a complete 180 as Alex gives her an idea for her to start sewing in advance.

"You're right! What am I doing here? I have some outfits to finish!" As Harper runs out the front door, Alex hollers down the hall.

"Don't you mean start?! It's not like you've been working on them since before the offer, right?" Harper nervously tousled her hair, putting a hand on her hip and standing at the door frame before confirming her friend's suspicions with a fake laugh.

"No, that's silly. I designed them before the offer came and I only put pins in everything. I was waiting for the opportunity so I could finally remove the pins and sew them up!" Harper says goodbye one more time before leaving Alex alone while she waits for Mason to get back.

As 30 minutes pass with no sign of Mason, Alex gives up, accepting that he isn't coming back anytime soon.

"Hey." She hears a male voice, but it wasn't the guy she wanted to see.

"Oh...hi Justin." He senses sadness in his sister's voice but he was already pretty shaken up from Juliet so he couldn't ask her what was wrong or else his heart would probably break in half. Second to losing the love of his life, he couldn't bear to see his little sister upset.

Alex picks up a fork and hands it to her brother as he sits down on the stool across from her. First, he sighs, and then he pouts. As his bottom lip quivers, Alex rolls her eyes.

"Will you quit it already? What do you want, dork?" Justin lets out a sigh before looking down at his plate.

"Juliet broke up with me." He says quietly.

"I'm sorry, Justin."

"No, it was all my fault. She left me because I wasn't giving her enough attention. I'm a horrible boyfriend." Alex makes her way across the kitchen island, giving Justin a tight squeeze as he sobs quietly into her shoulder. She winces as he uses her hair as a tissue, blowing his nose as she pats his back.

"This is why I hate comforting you," She pushes him off. "If it makes you feel any better, I think you're a good brother." Justin lets his fork clatter on the plate as he finishes his meal.

"Thanks, but that didn't make me feel any better." Alex was taken aback by how angry he sounded. Justin must be really upset, more hurt losing her the second time around.

"Alex, some girl came up to me and said something about the mummy. Why are people so obsessed with the mummy eyes?" Alex's eyes widen, thoughts of Justin put on hold as her younger brother walks into the room while scratching his cheek.

"Oh my god, the prophecy, someone must have heard that you defeated a mummy and took his eyes. Max, you have to tell me who asked you about it."

"She was a wizard, I think. She was also really pretty and her hair smelled like flowers-" Max starts drifting off to la-la land.

"Max! Focus." Alex claps her hands together, as if she was calling a dog. Max was like a dog anyways, in more ways than one.

"She said a guy in a blue checkered shirt was gonna ask me if I saw a vision of the future and I have to say no whether it's true or not." Alex puts the pieces together in her head, feeling more overwhelmed as Max explains what happened earlier at the substation.

"Oh my god, what if it isn't you? What if this girl is the one the prophecy is after? She can probably see the future."

"What?" Alex pulls her brother down the stairs, quickly showing him to the lair before he could ask any more questions. For once, Max's confusion made sense.

"You're probably gonna believe whatever I said anyways but I wanted to show you this," She shows Max an old book with a lot of words. Normally, she likes skipping over words and looking at the pictures. In this case, not so much. She wonders if this is what it feels like to be Justin on a daily basis, always solving problems and figuring things out by looking in books. "Humans can be born as many things, and just like us (Wizards), some people are born with a single power. You can't call them superheroes, but they use their powers to help people around them. For some, it's telekinesis, for others it's mind-reading. This girl must be a Seer." Max raises an eyebrow, as Alex pries the book out of his grasp.

"What's that?"

"She's like...a fortune teller. But instead of reading someone's fortune, she sees the future of a person around her and it's her job to make sure her vision comes true. These people have visions frequently, and it sounds to me like she knows about the wizard world even though she's mortal. I'm gonna figure her out. Obviously, she has to have known about you beforehand since she came to the substation knowing that she'd find you here. Now I just need to cast a spell so I can track her down. Max, do you remember what she looks like? I need a mental image for it to work." Max nods, hopping to his feet as Alex waves her wand above his head and a picture of the girl pops on the magic-screen. Alex knows the spell well, since she uses it to track Mason whenever he wolfs up and disappears for a long time, so she doesn't even have to say words for it to work. Perks of being the family wizard.

"She's in the Wizard World." Alex looks back at her brother with a grim expression. "Max?" He looks up at her with hopeful puppy-dog eyes.

"Yeah?"

"Wanna come with?" He nervously cracks his fingers, a habit he picked up from their dad, that's for certain.

"Sure." Alex senses his hesitation before taking his hand and holding on tight. Max smiles back at his older sister. Alex expected to get that strange feeling she normally gets when she touches Justin, but with Max she's the opposite. He's just her little brother and that's the way it's always been. Why does her relationship with Justin have to be so freaking complicated? Not to mention her werewolf boyfriend and his vampire (ex) girlfriend went out 300 years ago, talking about creepy coincidences. There was definitely something strange about her and Justin in terms of coincidences and convenience...the prophecy might be a lot bigger than whatever everyone assumes it to be. In her case, she was sure this was the reason why her and Justin were always pushed together. Their fights, their problems, growing together and comforting each other through it all.

She still wonders how Crumbs managed to transfer full wizard powers to Justin after granting her the title of Russo family wizard. She knows that every generation of wizards in every family have a family wizard, so she's not really the only family wizard, just the family wizard of her family unit? Even so, lots of things about the wizard world don't make sense. She and Justin kept her powers but Max had to give up his? It didn't seem fair at first but the poor kid took it pretty well.

Her mind keeps wandering back to that...the transfer of powers. It seemed too easy, like there were no fireworks, they didn't even go to The Hall of Transfers. They were just inducted by Professor Crumbs. That guy is seriously too powerful. Luckily he was living a pretty happy life during retirement, and he was always just one phone call away.

"That's strange," Alex stops at the main hall of the school building, her nose wrinkling at the familiar odor of garlic and flowers. Magic has the weirdest smell-"It says she's in the school. Like right now. Probably sleeping but I think we have bigger things to worry about." Max stops her before she can walk into the girls' dorm.

"If she's sleeping, please don't wake her up. I want her memory of me to be good while it lasts." Alex does a double take at Max's reaction. First of all, he scares girls off with his gross food combinations, or sometimes even grosser insects. The boy could give less of a fuck about what a girl thinks of his fungus collection.

"Who are you and what have you done with Max?" Alex pulls her brother into the room as he backs away, tip-toeing away from her. "Oh, would you get in there already?!" Alex shoves him into the dorm first, scanning the hall for any onlookers before waving her wand and making Max invisible. The only people that could see them were each other.

Even though Alex can see Max as if he was visible, other people cannot. It works the other way as well with Max, but she knows if she told him, he would probably take advantage of the spell. She shudders at the thought of Max doing what he thinks is crazy, because his version of normal is vastly different from her own. Although, she has to admit the boy has matured a little after accepting the reality that he was no longer a wizard and inherited the substation.

"What do you want to do once you find her?" Max asks a great question, one that makes Alex regret not making a solid plan in the first place. She's been winging it so far in life that she managed to become a full wizard in the process and surpass her older brother magically.

Technically, her powers were greater than his since Justin doesn't really have to use magic much except for when he's teaching students or taking Juliet out on Magic Carpet rides as dates. Actually, Alex has no clue what the heck Justin does with his powers now except for the fact that he watches over the entire school and he's the youngest Headmaster in the history of headmasters.

"I don't know, I'm just gonna wing it." Max shrugs and follows her lead as she sneaks across the floor and reaches the end of the room. On the very last bed, at the very edge of the room lies a girl with the same description Max gave her earlier. She looks angelic, almost. She couldn't be an angel, though, seeing as she's in a school for wizards and sees visions of the future. Alex had never read about that either, but she might have skimmed past that part when she was looking for the more important stuff like humans that see visions but can't do any magic nor control when they see visions.

"Wake up," Max whispers softly, looking at the girl with pure adoration. Alex inwardly groans. "I came here with my sister and she wanted to ask you something." The girl stirs in her sleep, opening her eyes but seeing only darkness before her. With the extra spell, she couldn't see Alex or Max either.

"Hello? Is someone there?" Alex takes mental note of her hair to remember to ask the girl what kind of products she uses to make her hair look so good even while sleeping.

"Yeah, like I said before, it's me, Max. I came here with my sister because she wanted to ask you some questions." She sits up in her bed, squinting at nothing as she searches for them.

"Couldn't this wait until morning? I have a stupid wiz-quiz tomorrow." Max clenches his teeth, he hates tests more than anything in the world but quizzes come a close second.

"Yeah, I can stop by tomorrow with some of Justin's old-"

"Max, shut up. Hi, I'm Alex Russo, the Family Wizard who saved the Wizard World a gazillion times and never really got thanked for it except for one lousy banquet where my werewolf boyfriend got into a fight with this beast tamer because he got jealous," Alex waits for a reaction, but then she realizes the girl can't see her so she can't react. "I cast an invisibility spell on us so that we won't get caught. Besides, even if our brother is the headmaster, it doesn't change the fact that we aren't students here anymore."

"I understand that, but what is it that's so important that you had to drag me out of bed for it?" Alex scratches her neck.

"It's about the vision you saw. I wanted to confirm it directly with you, did you actually see a vision of Max being asked if he saw a vision?" She nods, pulling out a small green journal from the nightstand drawer.

"I write down everything I see. This one was different though, I've never had a vision about a stranger before now." Alex raises her brows.

"What was that?" Alex makes expressions that the Seer can't even read with the spell still in effect.

"I said I've never had a vision about a stranger. Normally it's about my family, or a friend in school. I use my powers to warn people about trouble. Obviously, Max has to lie about his identity as a Seer if he ever does get asked the question."

"You might be pretty but I didn't understand a word you said," Max plays dumb, leaning in too close for comfort but since the girl couldn't see him, she couldn't swat him away. So Alex does it for her, pulling her little brother by the ear. "Ow, ow, ow." He rubs his throbbing red ear as Alex smiles sweetly at the girl who was half-asleep.

"What do you mean? I explained it to you earlier, remember? A man wearing a blue checkered button-up is gonna ask you if you saw a vision of the future. You have to say no so that my vision comes true." Alex already has a good idea of who the man in the blue button-up might be.

"Okay, but what happens if I say yes?" The wizard girl yawns and scratches her head as Max questions her in the middle of the night.

"You won't."

"Whoa, I guess you really are telling the truth. There's no way you could know that unless you are from the future!" Before she can ask any follow-up questions, Alex stops her in her tracks.

"Don't ask, he's clueless and isn't aware of his own surroundings half the time. Just ignore him, it worked for me sixteen years ago and it still works for me now," Alex pulls her brother to his feet, standing at the edge of the bed next to the Seer. "We're gonna get out of your hair now, have a nice night."

"Wait, I need to know her name. What's your name?"

"Daya."

"Wow, what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl."

"Max!" Alex undoes the spell as soon as they get outside the room, teleporting them back to the loft immediately.

She runs upstairs, her focus on finding Justin and making sure that vision comes true. She finds him in his room but he's completely shut himself out, cold and unmoving as Alex tries to get his attention. He doesn't even have his nightlight on, which is an alarming enough sign for Alex. "You can't just cry about her forever."

"Why not?" His voice cracks as she sits down on the edge of the bed, looking at her brother with teary eyes. She remembers the first time he lost Juliet, and how heartbroken he was whenever he heard her name or the word "mummy." It was hilarious at first, but then it was just plain pathetic. She didn't understand the pain of losing someone so well until she went through the same thing with Mason, and within those first few hours after the breakup, she was a wreck. She remembers almost losing Justin as well, but that pain was on another level that no one would understand. Alex had to almost lose her entire family to learn her lesson.

The truth is, after that incident in Puerto Rico, she has never been the same. Her, Justin, and Max have changed. Max disappeared first, but he was left behind with his parents who didn't remember him and he was taken away by a twister after he couldn't remember who any of them were. When Justin disappeared, he had just told her that he loved her, even though he didn't know her, he knew that he loved her.

It was traumatizing for all of them but they still made it through the worst.

"Justin, you can't just keep living your life for another person. You need to start living for yourself. If Juliet broke up with you because you couldn't make time for her then that's her loss. She was the one with the problems, not you." Justin shakes his head, turning on the light in the dark room as his sister gazes at him with soft brown loving eyes. His heart skips a beat as he looks at her, it was like they were back in the jungle during their hunt for The Stone of Dreams.

"I can't move on, Alex. It's not like she turned old and hobbled off into the woods this time, no, she's still alive and well, and she doesn't want to be with me anymore! She claimed that I had fallen out of love with her." He wipes his tears with a tissue, crumpling another and tossing it onto the comforter like he did with numerous others.

"You know what they say, when one door closes, another one opens. Maybe this happened so that you meet the one." Justin looks up at Alex, and with a small smile he chuckles,

"The one? I thought you didn't believe in that soulmate mumbo-jumbo." Alex giggles along with her brother, slipping her hand into his without looking. To the outside world, they probably looked like a couple. She quickly releases her hold after coming back to her senses.

"I don't. I just think that there's someone better out there for you. As much as I liked Juliet, I kinda thought she was too immature for you. She's been 17 for like, what? 2,000 years? Even if she does mature in her mind, she looks pretty much the same as the day you met her and she never changes. Ever." Justin wails, tears forming at the corners of his eyes.

"I know, she didn't age a day after Gorog brought her back!" Alex scrunches her nose, awkwardly patting his back as Justin cries into his hands.

"Justin, can I see that shirt you're wearing?" Justin doesn't say much as he silently obliges, removing the covers so Alex could see what was underneath. Just as she thought, he was wearing that checkered button-up. She knew he had to be the one in Daya's vision that asked Max about his powers.

"Why do you look so happy?" Alex glares at her brother's judging stare.

"No reason. Am I not allowed to be happy for no reason in particular? Must I always be scheming to be jubilant when I please? I can't believe you don't have faith in me, dear brother."

"Alex, what did you do?" Justin is back to his old self, as he springs out of bed with Alex following his tow, Justin blankly staring at his sister as she wraps her arms around him in a welcoming hug.

"I missed you."

"How can you miss me when I was already here?"

"I meant your dorky-happy self. Being depressing and hopeless is kinda my thing." He scoffs at her lame attempt at cheering him up.

"I thought you were supposed to be 'good' or at the very least a twisted Alex-y version of it."

"Hey, don't turn my name into an adverb, I'm still getting the hang of this full wizard thing. I still need you to give me guidance and hold my hand through the tough times like you always do. You're my older brother and that's never going to change. Girlfriends will come and go but I'll still be here for you." Justin's icey bluish-grey eyes showcase another emotion, along with sorrow and agony, he's filled with heat. Not the normal angry kind, either. He's feeling this way because of his sister.

Get a hold of yourself, Justin. He mentally scolds himself as he calms his racing heart down so he can settle for that uneasy feeling of disgust and uncertainty. He was ashamed, as a grown man who has dated many girls in the past, he couldn't distinguish the love he felt for his sister as familial or...more than that.

"Alex, Juliet was my first love. How would you feel if after all this, Mason just walked into the room and says, 'Alex, I'm breaking up with you?'" Alex's stomach churns as she places a hand on the bed frame and Justin quickly catches her as she half-dangles off the edge of the bed. She felt very lightheaded all of a sudden, and at the thought of Mason and his behavior earlier, she had reason to believe that he didn't want to continue their relationship. "Whoa, careful. Speaking of Mason, where is he?"

A knock on the door interrupts them as Justin tears apart from his sister, snapping up from the bed as Alex lazily makes herself comfortable on the pillows.

"Hey Justin, I hate to intrude but may I speak to Alex in private?" Mason pokes his head through the door, Justin walking over to let him in.

"Of course." As Justin's footsteps disappear, Alex bites her tongue. The look on Mason's face told her everything she needed to know.

"Alex, I'm breaking up with you."

Author Notes: If you're confused about the vision, let's just assume Justin asked Max the question at some point in time because the Seer's powers are the same as Raven's, I decided to include it in the plot since That's So Raven, Suite Life on Deck, Hannah Montana, and WOWP take place in the same Universe.
