A few weeks later
A few weeks after their arrival to the parallel Earth, the base the UNIT workers and engineers were building was finally finished. It wasn't an easy task to build it in a few weeks but considering the dangers and the growing list of threats, the workers and engineers did double work to get the base done faster. And now that the base was ready, the UNIT began transferring troops and equipment into the base through the interdimensional transport device.
During their stay in the UNIT base, Mikoto and Kushina told Jason and Colonel Mace everything they knew about the world they were in, Westeros, seven kingdoms, and all possible enemies they may encounter. But the most concerning part was when Mikoto told them about Daenerys who seemed to be the biggest threat to the UNIT base. Not only because she was conquering the world and had huge armies, but also because she had dragons.
At first, the UNIT officers thought that Mikoto was joking about the dragons but the seriousness in her voice told them that she was telling the truth. This made the UNIT set up whatever defenses and security systems they had such as minefields, barbed wire fences, they even set a few prototype sentry guns at the base's entrance.
But the UNIT also sent them vehicles and heavy equipment such as trucks, armored cars, tanks, helicopters, and fighter jets. They were also given cannons, missile batteries, basically all the firepower they needed to keep the hostile indigenous away from them and kill the dragon if they see one.
But even with all the weapons they had, Jason and Mace were still concerned about this Daenerys. Even though they had a lot of weapons, Mikoto and Kushina told them that it wasn't easy to kill a dragon. They told them that the most effective method against the dragons was to stay hidden and shoot the dragon down when it was out of the open. But the UNIT still needed more intel if they were gonna stay and they needed to know their enemies if they were going to beat them.
While the UNIT troops were doing their duties in the base, Jason along with Mikoto and Kushina were having a meeting with Colonel Mace.
"You wanted to see us, sir," Jason said.
"Yes, the reason why I called you here is that I have a mission for you," Mace said.
"What kind of mission, sir?" Jason asked.
Mace didn't say anything for a moment because he wasn't sure how Jason and the women he rescued would react. But he had his orders from his superiors and he had to follow them.
"I know this sounds crazy, but the leaders of the UN want you to go and meet this Queen Daenerys miss Uchiha and Uzumaki told us about," Mace said.
All three people in front of him froze like statues as soon as he said it. But they quickly recovered from it and turned back to the colonel.
"Are you crazy?! You can't possibly go and meet Daenerys. She's a treacherous bitch," Kushina said.
"I know. But this is not my idea, it was my superiors'," Mace said.
"But Daenerys wants to conquer the world and rule it like a tyrant," Mikoto said.
"Yes, but we do not want to make her our enemy unless it's necessary," Mace said.
"But even if she agrees to meet us, where do we find her?" Jason asked.
"Kushina and I heard that she's currently in the city of Meereen she conquered recently," Mikoto told them.
"It's a good place to start," Jason said.
"Yes, but the problem is that she's cautious. She won't let anyone to her chambers unless summoned," Kushina said.
"We've been working on that as well," Mace said.
After he said it, Mace turned on the screen on the wall that showed the picture and the map of Meereen where Daenerys and her army were currently dwelling.
"That's Meereen," Kushina said recognizing the city on the map.
"Yes, our UAV took a picture of the city while flying above it," Mace said.
"But wouldn't have Daenerys sent her dragons to shoot down the UAV?" Jason asked.
"It was a matter of luck but we were able to keep the UAV high enough so the troops in the city didn't see it," Mace said.
"But what is the plan, sir?" Jason asked.
Mace was quiet for a moment until he answered Jason's question.
"While you'll negotiate with Queen Daenerys, I will send special forces teams to infiltrate the city. And if something goes wrong, I'll give them the order to take action," Mace explained.
The plan was very risky. If they screwed up, the UNIT would be at war with Daenerys and her army of Unsullied and Dothraki tribes. But if the mission succeeds, they would at least temporarily be in good relations with Daenerys. Even though the war with Daenerys seemed inevitable, this mission would at least buy more time for the UNIT to prepare.
"All right, sir. I'll do it," Jason said.
"We'll go with him," Mikoto said.
"Are you two sure?" Mace asked.
"We've been in Meereen before and can speak the locals' language," Kushina said.
Colonel Mace thought about it for a minute until he finally agreed.
"All right, you can go. But be careful on this one," Mace said.
"Yes, sir," Jason saluted before leaving the colonel's office with the ladies.
Meanwhile in Meereen
Even though it's been a few weeks, Daenerys still wasn't quite pleased. Her best men still haven't found out who attacked her scouts and what they wanted. Daenerys still had the slavers and Lannisters to deal with so she can become the ruler of the whole world. But being attacked by an unknown enemy was something she couldn't allow. If there was going to be another player or faction in the war for power and the Iron Throne, they needed to be dealt with as soon as possible.
While Daenerys was drinking wine Missandei gave her, Jorah and Grey Worm walked into the queen's chamber.
"Do you have anything to report?" Daenerys asked.
"Not much, your grace," Grey Worm said.
"Then tell me what you know," Daenerys demanded.
"While examining the bodies of the dead, we found these," Jorah said as he showed something.
Daenerys took a look at what Jorah had in his hand and saw a small piece of metal that looked like some kind of used projectile.
"Is that all?" Daenerys asked.
Jorah also showed another metal object that looked like it was made of gold (gun shell).
"We found a lot of these from the camp and around the pond where your men were killed," Jorah explained.
"Anything else?" Daenerys asked.
Jorah signaled Grey Worm and the Unsullied brought a dead soldier in the chamber. When they took the cover off, Missandei gasped. It was a dead Unsullied with his head missing but the wound on his neck didn't look like it was made by a sword, it was almost like his head was blown off.
"We found this body in one of the tents, your grace," Jorah said.
"Without his head?" Daenerys asked.
"Yes, your grace. But when we took a closer look, we noticed that the head was not cut off. It was blown off," Jorah said.
Grey Worm felt a seed of anger growing in him because one of his men was brutally killed and they still didn't know who did it.
"How can you know for sure?" Missandei asked.
"We found these on the floor and these on the wood pillar," Jorah said as he showed something else.
In his other hand was a red plastic object (shotgun shell) and on his other hand, was a few small metal balls.
"What are you trying to tell me by showing those?" Daenerys asked.
"What we're trying to say is that we're dealing with an enemy who possesses weapons that are completely unknown to us," Jorah said.
"What does it mean?" Missandei asked.
"It means that our new enemy could be a lot more advanced than we are," Jorah explained.
This took Daenerys completely off guard. Was she dealing with an enemy that possessed weapons that were far more advanced than hers? If that was the case, could those weapons be powerful enough to destroy entire armies, even kill dragons?
But she knew what her next course of action will be, she wanted to meet this enemy in person. And they can negotiate with her, they could become valuable allies in her quest for ruling all seven kingdoms.
"Jorah, Grey Worm," Daenerys said.
"Yes, your grace," Jorah and Grey Worm said.
"I want you to find this new enemy and tell them that I want to speak with them," Daenerys said.
"That depends on if they are willing to negotiate," Jorah said.
"I'm aware of that. But I'm willing to try," Daenerys said.
Jorah and Grey Worm nodded before leaving the Queen's chambers. Daenerys knew that trying to make contact with this new enemy was dangerous but if she plays her cards right, she could gain a valuable ally. And when they are no longer useful to her, she will steal all their power and secrets.
Meanwhile with Jason and his team
After Jason assembled the teams, they took several armored trucks (Humvees) and left the base towards Meereen. During their trip, they were on their guard because they had no idea who or what may try to ambush them. The soldiers who were operating the cars' turrets (M2 heavy machine guns) were keeping a constant eye on their surrounding environment but luckily there was no sign of any enemy forces or hostile natives or creatures.
While they were driving, Mikoto and Kushina wanted to tell Jason and his men more about Daenerys and how to be around her when talking.
"Okay, while you talk to Daenerys, remember to be polite. She doesn't tolerate anyone speaking against her and she may try to persuade you to join her," Mikoto told Jason.
"So I'll have to be careful of what I say or discuss with her?" Jason asked.
"Exactly and remember, Daenerys can't be trusted," Mikoto said.
"Noted. Is there anything else you can tell me about her?" Jason asked.
"When she knows about your people and how powerful you are, she may try to trade something valuable in exchange for your weapons," Kushina said.
"Even if she tried, our rules forbid us to give away our weapons to primitive people," Jason said.
"Excuse me, primitive?" Kushina asked feeling a little insulted.
"Sorry, I didn't mean you and Mikoto. I meant Daenerys and those who would use our weapons for conquest and enslavement," Jason said apologizing which made Kushina smile at Jason's kindness and mind of a gentleman.
"Thanks, Jason. You're so sweet," Kushina said kissing Jason on his cheek.
Jason blushed a little but got over it quickly and turned his attention back to the road.
"One more thing. When Daenerys asks something, don't tell her everything. If she knows everything about you and your people, she will exploit all your potential weaknesses," Mikoto warned Jason.
"Understood," Jason said.
It took a while but they eventually reached Meereen. Jason and the UNIT soldiers couldn't help but stare at the amazing city standing in all of its beauty that the soldiers admired, even respected.
"I can see why the queen psychopath conquered this city and made herself home," one of the soldiers said.
"Yeah, especially since it has pyramids," another soldier said.
"I just hope she won't give us a welcoming committee that ends in the bloodbath," Jason said.
"As long as we don't show any hostilities, we'll be fine," Mikoto said.
They were about to drive into the city until several men on their horses surrounded them and pointed their spears at them. Jason immediately recognized men as the Unsullied because he still remembered the one he killed a few weeks ago.
"You are trespassing the queen's land! Who are you?!" The warrior asked in the language the UNIT soldiers didn't but Mikoto and Kushina did.
"We come in peace. We wish to speak to the queen," Mikoto told the warriors in their language.
The Unsullied looked at each other for a moment until their leader spoke.
"I'll inform the queen," the leader said before leaving for the city.
Jason and his squad didn't like their current situation but Mikoto and Kushina assured them that there was no need to be alarmed, at least not yet. It took about a half of hour until the Unsullied leader came back but he seemed calm which was a good sign according to Mikoto and Kushina.
"The queen wishes to see you," the leader said in his language.
"It will be an honor," Mikoto said in the leader's language.
After that, they headed to the city. When they got there, the UNIT soldiers left their vehicles outside the wall and Jason told his men to stay with their cars just in case. He also told them with code words to carry out their secret orders without raising any suspicion.
The Unsullied escorted Jason and his female companions throughout the city towards the palace. While walking, Jason took a look at the city and noticed that the people did have good living conditions but he wasn't sure if it was Daenerys' influence or the people weren't showing their 'guests' how they were really living.
They eventually arrived in the palace and the Unsullied took their guests to the queen's chambers where Daenerys along with Missandei, Jorah, and Grey Worm was waiting and ready for an audience.
When Jason and his companions stepped into the chamber, Daenerys took a good look at her guests. The man in front of her was wearing a black outfit and his face was hidden behind a mask and some sort of glasses and was also wearing some sort of cap. She also took a look at his companions but didn't recognize them but she thought that they were the slaves the Dothraki captured before they were killed.
Once she was done looking at the guests, Daenerys decided to introduce herself.
"I am Queen Daenerys Targaryen. The future ruler of all seven kingdoms. Who are you?" Daenerys asked after she introduced herself.
"I'm Lieutenant Jason Connor and these are my companions Mikoto Uchiha and Kushina Uzumaki," Jason said introducing himself and his companions.
"Lieutenant?" Daenerys asked.
"It's my rank, military designation," Jason said.
"You're a soldier?" Daenerys asked.
"Yes," Jason confirmed.
"Then why have you come here?" Daenerys asked.
"To meet you and negotiate," Jason said.
"For what?" Daenerys asked.
"For peace, your highness," Jason said.
Daenerys looked at Missandei and the others for a moment before turning back to Jason and his companions.
"I want to know where you come from and who do you serve," Daenerys demanded.
"I come from another world called Earth, I serve the military organization known as the UNIT," Jason told the queen.
"Another world?" Daenerys asked with shock.
"Parallel world actually," Jason specified.
"If that is true, how did you get here?" Daenerys asked.
"Our technology is far more advanced than yours. We have a portal that can send people to other parallel worlds," Jason explained.
"I do not understand," Daenerys said.
"That's because you and your people are too primitive to understand that kind of knowledge," Jason said.
Daenerys felt greatly insulted now and her advisers took a step back as she rose from her throne.
"How dare you call me and my people primitive," Daenerys said with anger.
"You have bows and arrows but we have guns and bombs," Jason said.
"What makes you think you're more powerful than me?" Daenerys asked.
"Because we already killed your scout troops when we got here for the first time," Jason revealed.
Everything in the queen's chamber fell silent. Daenerys and her advisers didn't say a word because they were processing the sudden information they just received. Daenerys and her advisers suspected that some new enemy killed her men but she didn't expect that her guest in front of her was responsible for that.
Seconds passed until Daenerys finally spoke up with a few questions and a proposal in her mind.
"Before I tell you my proposal, I want to ask a few more questions," Daenerys said.
"Go ahead, your highness," Jason said.
"What kind of weapons you use and how powerful they are?" Daenerys asked.
Instead of answering, Jason threw a piece of bread in the air, quickly took his pistol (P226), aimed it at the bread, and pulled the trigger. A loud bang echoed through the chamber and hallways as the bullet pierced the bread making a hole in it. After the bread fell on the floor, Jorah picked it up and showed it to Daenerys who was impressed by the power of Jason's weapon.
After the demonstration, Daenerys turned her attention back to Jason and decided to tell him her proposal.
"I'm offering an alliance for your people," Daenerys said.
"An alliance?" Jason asked.
"Yes. In exchange for your weapons, I'm offering you land, resources, and wealth," Daenerys offered.
"I'm sorry your grace but that is unacceptable," Jason said shocking Daenerys and her advisors.
"Why? The proposal is fair," Missandei said.
"Our rules forbid us to give our weapons to primitive peoples because the consequences could disastrous," Jason said.
"I'm sure we can make a compromise," Jorah said.
"I'm sorry, sir. But we can't give or trade our weapons to you," Jason said.
"Your weapons could free countless people from slavers and tyrants," Daenerys said.
"From what I have heard, you're a tyrant and slaver yourself," Jason accused.
Daenerys and her advisors were taken back by a sudden accusation. Daenerys felt even more insulted now that Jason called her a tyrant and slaver, this even made the Unsullied angry who pointed their spears at Jason for insulting their queen.
"You dare call me the ones I am dedicated to destroy?!" Daenerys said.
"It's the truth!" Jason said.
"It is not!" Daenerys yelled.
"I have seen what your soldiers do during their missions! I have seen what horrors they do to innocent people!" Jason yelled back.
"Those people served my enemies! They deserved to die!" Daenerys yelled.
"You and your soldiers murder innocent people! I had to kill them!" Jason yelled back.
"You were the one who killed my warriors?!" Daenerys asked.
"I did it to save innocent people!" Jason said.
"I won't allow you and your people to interfere with my conquest!" Daenerys shouted.
"You are a monster! You're evil! Why can't you just die?!" Jason shouted back.
The silence fell again into the queen's chamber. Daenerys has traveled all over the world and done some horrible things but she has never heard anyone calling her monster or evil, such words just didn't exist in her world, they were completely unknown.
But then again, Jason was a stranger from another world and his people obviously had a different way of thinking. But she still didn't tolerate being called tyrant or slaver and Jason's people obviously didn't want to be her allies.
"I won't tolerate your presence anymore. I want you to leave and tell this to your people. I will conquer you, take your power and secrets, and use them to rule all seven kingdoms," Daenerys declared.
"I will go and tell my leaders what you have said, but know this. If you want war, we'll give you war," Jason said.
After that, he and his companions left the queen's chamber leaving Daenerys in her thoughts.
Later in the UNIT base
Colonel Mace wasn't really pleased with how the negotiations with Daenerys turned out but he understood that they couldn't accept Daenerys' demands and they still followed 'no negotiating with terrorists' policy.
The British government and the UN were also informed about the situation and the UNIT was instructed to keep a low profile for now until they have decided what to do about Daenerys and her plans for conquest.
While his superiors were busy thinking about a solution, Jason was lying on his bed looking at the roof thinking about what happened. He knew that he shouldn't have lost his temper with Daenerys like that but he had to make a point that he and his people will never bow down to evil rulers like her.
He was suddenly taken out of his thoughts when he heard a knock on his door.
"It's open," Jason said.
The door opened revealing Mikoto and Kushina walking in and closing the door behind them. Then they sat down on Jason's bed and looked at him.
"Are you alright, Jason?" Mikoto asked.
"No, not really. It wasn't supposed to go that way. My mission wasn't to start a war with a psychopath and her army of rapists and murderers," Jason said looking down to the floor.
"We know that but you said those things because you were the only one who saw what Daenerys truly is," Kushina said.
"You told me about what Daenerys did," Jason said.
"We were only there to guide you. You were the one who saw the truth," Mikoto said.
"But what am I supposed to do now?" Jason asked.
"Listen to your heart and do the right thing no matter the cost and protect innocent people from evil," Kushina said.
Jason didn't know what to say. What Kushina and Mikoto told him wasn't like anything he ever heard in his life. The last time he felt something like this was the day he killed the Master to avenge his sister's death but also to save humanity and his world. After a few minutes of thinking, Jason smiled and looked at two beautiful women sitting next to him.
"Thanks, I really needed that," Jason said.
"You saved our lives. Our place is with you and our duty is to guide you. Not only because you're brave but also because you're a good man," Mikoto said as she put her hand over Jason's cheek.
Jason was touched by Mikoto's words and put his hand over hers while Kushina went to Jason's side. They stayed like this until they felt tired from the hard day.
"We better go to sleep," Jason said.
"If it's okay, can we sleep here with you?" Kushina asked.
"Of course," Jason said kindly.
The women nodded and they laid down to the bed. Jason was in the middle while Mikoto was on his right side and Kushina on the left side. Slowly the sleep claimed them all and they fell asleep knowing that they needed all the rest they could get.
