Chapter 3

"Mum" Hope gasped in shock staring at her. Rushing forward she gave her a big warm hug with tears streaming down her face. "Hello there, i am the one who has been watching over you, your father as well, he is busy at the moment"

"You have seen dad is he here?" she said reluctantly pulling away.

"We have become white lighters helping others and are watching over you, you just wont be able to see us"

"What's a white lighter?" as her mum touched her hair and gave her a cloth to dry her face.

"It's sort of a guardian angel, people who look after other magical beings and other's, come sit down over here?" said Haley taking her daughter's hand and guiding her to a white bench.

Sitting down, Hope couldn't believe she was with her mum again as she blew her nose and dried her face. She felt sad and happy at the same time and knew she would have to 'go back to the school sooner or later' she thought miserably. "Will i ever see you again?"

"I don't know" Haley replied looking sad, giving her another hug when Susan came before them saying "we really need to talk before i send you back"

"What no thats not enough time, I don't want you to go" she said, not wanting to let go. "I really must i am quite busy, but just remember i and your father will be watching over you" she said Orbing away from her daughters embrace leaving her crying again on the bench.

"There, there" said Susan sitting where her mother just left, giving her a hug, 'unsure how to calm the young woman down as the powers were linked to her emotions and if she was upset then who knows what will happen' she thought worriedly.

"It's time to meet Alaric" she said hoping to cheer her up. "You have been here long enough, we will have the talk soon" This seemed to stop her crying, "come on lets go its now or never...don't worry you will see her again, not sure when but she, we are watching over you incase you need our help?"

Putting her arm around Hope's shoulders, she Orbed them into Alaric's office where he was asleep at his desk once her vision cleared, doubling over again, the noise startled Alaric "Ahh...What the...Hope"

"Who are you?" He asked standing up quickly.

"This is Susan" she replied standing up straight.

"I have just seen mum" said Hope.

"But she's dead?"

"I was" but Susan interrupted her by putting her hand over her mouth.

"Best keep that between us, I don't want people to know yet too soon"

Hope nodded and she dropped her hand.

"How did you get here from where you came from?'

"It's called Orbing going from one place to the next" said Susan reaching out with her hand. "Hi i am Susan, here to help Hope with her new powers we tend to be bvery private beings, but since you care for Hope and at the moment she needs all the help she can get as the charmed magic are linked to her emotions and since she is up set who knows what will happen" As she said this she shook his hand.

"What time is it here?" Hope suddenly asked yawning feeling upset and very tired and drained of energy.

"It's after midnight"

"Time is a bit different" Susan said smiling. "You best get some sleep I will send you to you'r room" she said raising her arm and her hand turned blue and Hope vanished in a swirl of blue and white lights before she could react. "I will speak to Alaric in private since he is you guardian" she said loudly. This caused him to stare in shock and reaching out to where she had been standing it felt warm like she had said.

"Would you like tea or coffee?"

"No thank you i am fine for now"

"Can you even eat or drink?" he asked curiously pointing to the chair and she sat down smiling warmly trusting him.

"Of course we can, were jjust not allowed while working"

"We, there is more of you, how many more?"

"There are lots and lots of us scattered about helping magical beings" she said. "This is going to be a long meeting as i need to tell you everything i know about Charmed magic now in Hope"

Meanwhile as Alaric was talking to Susan in his office, Hope had changed into bed clothes and went to bed but as soon as she lay down she found she was too restless to sleep and lay under the covers thinking about 'her parents becoming white lighters and watching over her, so they were the ones who had been watching her as she had not felt it until she touched the bloody book' she thought worriedly, as she tossed and turned.

Next morning, Hope had tossed and turned all night, getting up, she felt tired and frustrated. Yawning, she got ready for the day and went to find Alaric to see what he had found out from Susan.

Going to his office before breakfast, she knocked on the door, "come in" came a tired voice.

"Ah" he said "I was hoping it would be you, i am just writing down some of the things Susan told me so I don't forget, take a seat"

Sitting down, she waited rather 'nervous of what he was. going to tell her'

"Right", he said putting down his pen. "You can trust Susan, she knows her stuff, all you have to do is yell her name loudly and she will Orb to where ever you are if you need her help, she can hear us calling her"

"Do you hear that?" Hope asked.

"What?"

"It sounds like someone calling me" moments later she disappeared in white balls of light. Leaving Alaric staring in slight shock..."SUSAN" he yelled finding his voice.
