"Yes, I am sorry." I said in a monotone voice. This combinations of words are something that I have said a lot in my life, especially to the person in front of me, the pink long haired woman. "I will try not to do something irrational ever again." I continue, knowing for a fact that she'll definitely not going to buy my words. I look straight at her beautiful blue eyes that she uses to show her concern for me.
"Two hundred and fifty eight…the number of times the word 'sorry' have escape your mouth." She said in a low, tired voice. I can't help but smile a bit. Her voice, her tone, her expression, it's all just feel so homely to me somehow. "…you're grinning again…..sigh….honestly…"
"Well, what are you going to do? Be mad at me?" I taunt her. I smile smugly at her waiting for her answer. Looking at our usual routine, that how it was suppose to go. What I get is a small smile and a little kiss on the cheek. "Ooooookay? Did something happen?" I ask her genuinely confuse.
I see her smile grow wider and her shoulders shake as she held her laugh. "Nothing, I just want to see that bewildered face of yours. Looks cute." She puts her right hand under my chin and lift my chin up. "Did you hurt yourself?" She asks me as her face gets closer. Her face gets so close that I had to use my hand to stop her.
"Sort of and I did not hurt my face or head so please don't get to close, we are in public." I answer whilst still trying to push her face away, well at least I am acting like it. She seems to know this and wraps her left arm around my waist. She then proceeds to pull me closer and push her face harder. "Okay, stop. I though you don't want to do this in front of everyone."
"Well….…." She stops her face advance but her left arm is still around my waist and now, so is her right arm. Without warning, she pulls me hard and I collide with her body. I immediately lift my head away from her bust, that I just buried my face in.

"Reporting Colonel Mia and Lieutenant Colonel Igo, I have brought the others." She said to us. The both of us then turn around and see that a lot of people have gathered behind Mia. They are the soldiers that I command earlier. I release Mia from my arms and tried to push her away, but it seems that our minds aren't on the same page. In fact, her hug is getting tighter.

I could feel Mia's arms slightly weaken her hug on me so that I could lift my head. I turn my head and see Rika staring right at Mia. Rika walks toward me and pull me out of Mia's embrace.
"Thank you Rika." I thanks her, even though I was still enjoying Mia's breasts.

The moment I said that, I could hear a lot of well-choreographed-heavily-synchronize 'oof' from the crowd. As if the entire brigade just got a punch in the gut.
I know, I know that she likes me as a love interest, I am not that blind. I knew her since three years ago, when she comes to our brigade as a new enlisted soldiers from the conscription program. When I see Rika for the first time, I recognize her nervousness and her fears of death. Feels like looking at my past self honestly. So I did what those group of veterans did to me, I help her, I support her and I sort of raise her. Over the course of the years, she grew attached to me and her feelings also grew as well. She starts from being reluctant and closed, to an open and actively trying to physically get close to me. Before I knew it, she had seen me as a love interest. If I have to be honest, this wasn't part of the plans and if I didn't have a relationship with Mia, I would probably date her.

"Okay every one hear out." Mia claps her hands to caught everyone attentions. "Luke is going to come here with your documents and your luggage. After this day, there would be a new Colonel to command you but hopefully all of you would still keep up the good work as if I was still the one, hell improve it. The new recruitment will be here together with Luke and can I ask you to be gentle with them, make sure you help them adapt to the environment and support them?"
"""YES MA'AM!""" All the soldier scream in unison.
While talking about supporting the new recruit, I glance to Rika and whisper to her. "Help them like I help you, ok?" She nods with a gentle smile. "And also, teach them how to calm down so that's the knowledge would be pass down." She nods again and this time she moves her face forward and whisper near my ear.
She whispers in a sweet and innocent tone. "I'll promise." I see her pull her face away with a blush. God, if we were not in public and I am not in a relationship with Mia, I would kiss that lips of her.
"I'll also like to thank you everyone for the last couple of years. We have fight, sleep, eat, cry and laugh together and I hope my brain is big enough to remember every single second we spent together. And.." She pauses in the middle of her sentence. She wraps her arm around my neck and pull me close to her before continuing. "please wait for our children to join you in the battlefield 16 years from now."
"""WWWHHHHAAAATTTTTTT!?""" Everyone scream in shock, including me. SHE'S PREGNANT?! WAIT I THOUGHT SHE SAID IT WAS HER SAFE DAY! WAIT, SINCE WHEN?! WAIT WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME I FUCK HER!? A couple of the male soldiers run to me and grab me by the collar. "WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU SURPRISE?!"

"Lieutenant Colonel Rika-no, you are Colonel Rika from now on. It's been nice serving next to you." Mia said to Rika. "After this, you are going to have to lead the 160th Infantry Brigade. I wish you luck and please, don't push yourself. You can have a new lieutenant colonel to help you if you want. The whole 160th Infantry Brigade is your family so please don't hesitate to ask them something? And this goes to every single one of you." Mia starts to speak out loud. "I do not want to hear in the news, that she had fallen sick because she overworks herself. If I see that, I will personally shove my boots up your ass so hard that you'll taste the last bit of grass the cow eats before it turns into my boots, you got that?"
