Chapter 3
Returning back to work after the train crash Emily and JJ had finished dressing in their uniforms when they heard a knock on the changing room door, looking around to make sure everyone was decent.
"Yeah, come in." Yelled Emily
"Jareau, Prentiss my office." The sheriff ordered
"Yes, Bossman." They both replied
Ten minutes later they both knocked on the sheriff's door and walked in.
"The passenger from your train wreck was DOA. Rose is not in good shape but has requested to talk to you Emily." The sheriff told them both. He passed over a tablet to JJ, Garcia had brought the woman's bay police department well and truly into the 21st century. Emily and JJ flicked through the photos noticing the new blue polar bear tattoo on the husband and wife. Pictures of the high end PDA and cell phones where at the end.
"Rose, they must have been taking her to kill her. Do we know where they where going?" JJ asked
"Oh please, after all theses years you still have to ask." Garcia smiled
"Snow Drift Motel room 113." Smiled Penelope
"He had four and a half million dollars worth of uncut diamonds hidden in his jacket. I think they use the motel as a final meeting point. Remember those two that killed themselves they where staying at the same motel." The sheriff added
"I can't get anything from the broken phone or PDA, I could send them to Quantico to see if they can pull anything useful from the broken bits?" Garcia asked the sheriff
"Please Penelope, I don't like them using my town for anything, this is twice in six months. I want to stop them if I can. I'm going to speak to Special Agent Hotchner and see what he thinks." The sheriff looked apologetically at Emily and JJ

Emily and JJ arrived at the hospital to speak to Rose only to find her room empty. Cody the head nurse came across to tell the girls she had died about 30 minutes ago. He handed over his phone and started to pale, she left you a recorded statement.
"Emily, she asked me to thank you. You where the first person in years to treat her as a human being and show her kindness. I held her hand while she recorded her statement for you, please catch these evil bastards and stop them from hurting others." Cody emotionally told the two deputies.
Emily and JJ sat down in her empty room and pressed play and listened to the 30 minute recording. Rose Simmons listed her 10 year ordeal with the Jones and the other families in the group. Roses death although tragic will finally bring three couples to stand trial for their heinous crimes.
They sent the recording to Garcia and the sheriff. Twenty minutes later the Little Rock police in Arkansas had arrest warrants issued for the three couples. The sheriff had promised the girls the Little Rock D.A intended throwing the book at them from a great height.
Emily and JJ had finished their shift and returned back to the station to change and go home.

"That's sick!" Screamed Vanessa
Ellie ran past them crying and slammed her bedroom door shut screaming "I hate you!" to her sister.
JJ looks at Vanessa "What happened?" JJ asked
" she was eating my Ben and Jerry's cherry garcia with anchovies and hot chilli sauce, that's just gross. I didn't mean to upset her." Vanessa told her mothers
Both Emily and JJ cringed at their daughters pregnancy cravings. They both knocked on her door and heard a tearful daughter tell them to go away. They both ignored her and walked in seeing Ellie curled up on her bed facing the wall.
"Go away!" Shouted Ellie, "don't go, please." She pleaded
Emily and JJ laid down on her bed sandwiching her between themselves.
"Hey, she didn't mean anything sweetie, it's your hormones. We're all here for you even your sister . We will keep the fridge stocked with cherry Garcia and make sure you have plenty of anchovies and hot sauce." JJ smiled running her hands slowly through her daughters hair calming her down.
"I'm sorry for upsetting you, here you go I've put you extra anchovies and hot sauce on for you. We are all on ice cream and whipped cream." Ellie smiled hugging her sister and attacking her little hot fishy ice cream.
The family of four sit on the bed enjoy the family time.
"Oh, my god! Vanessa Prentiss you are so grounded until your 65." Emily glares at her daughter after eating a cunningly camouflaged anchovy.
JJ laughed and searched her bowl finding no fishy invaders. "Ellie as much as I love you, if I find any fishy invaders in any of my food or drink you will still be grounded when your baby is 10." Smiled the angelic Blonde
After Ellie's little melt down the family had eaten and now sat on the settee watching a film with bear their husky puppy all snuggled together.
Suddenly they heard pounding on the front door with shouting
"Jennifer, Emily I need help, Gemma has disappeared with her waster of a boy friend." He shouted
Opening their front door they let in Ian Roberts, a paramedic with the Women's bay fire department. He looked frantic and very desperate. JJ told him to sit down and tell them everything.
He sat down and explained Gemma had asked to go out with a boy named Danny Talbot. He refused because the boy was a drug user as was his parents. He didn't want her associating with people like that. For the last few weeks he had kept showering her with gifts and romantic promises. Tonight he was supposed to be taking her dancing, I said no. I went to check on her a little while later but she was gone.
The two profilers looked at each other and just knew Talbot was grooming Gemma.

Gemma Roberts kicked and scratched Danny Talbot to get away from him. He had been the ultimate gentleman treating her like a Queen until 10 minutes ago. He drove out to their special spot where they watched the Northern lights.
Danny leaned over and kissed Gemma on the lips and then sliding his hand onto her breasts.
"No! Stop Danny." Gemma pushed his hands away from her body
"Those presents need to be paid for." He slapped her hard across her cheeks
Gemma grabbed her phone and punched Talbot hard and kicked him pushing herself out of the passenger door. She ran as fast as she could away from the car, she didn't stop running until she physically had to. Breathing deeply trying to calm herself she looked around and hid behind a tree.
She could hear two voices in the distance calling her all sorts of names. She was petrified and just wanted to be in her daddy's arms. She started to shiver in her light jacket, her thermal coats where all down stairs so she had gone with out one. A very stupid mistake for rural Alaska at night.
Gemma tired to phone her daddy but she had an intermittent one bar signal. She knew she needed to move back towards town to get closer to the nearest cell mast. She had in her haste grabbed Dannys phone she typed out a quick text message hopefully it would send if the signal stayed long enough. The battery was very low on the phone so she turned it off for now.

All 35 members of the women's bay police department had returned to work without the sheriff calling them in. They had all been given sectors to search, they never turned up at the club Gemma had mentioned to her dad. Garcia sat in her lair trying to locate Gemmas cell she had the GPS located down to around 100 meters. She was located near a popular spot to watch the Northern lights and of course make out.
JJ and Emily started zipping up their cold weather Parker's as strong winds and snow had been forecast for later today. Trina walked out all wrapped up and just opened the back passenger door and got in.
"I'm not letting you two out my sight when a big storm is coming. White out conditions can be dangerous, just think of me as your local safety expert. And yes I've got a vest on before you ask." Trina smiled "when ever your ready Emily."

Gemma had waited to make sure she couldn't hear Danny anymore, she silently moved from her hiding place and started to move back towards town. She started to shiver as her clothes where damp from laying in the snow hiding. She crept carefully using the small trees and bushes to hide.
"Hello Sweetheart, did you miss me?" Danny asked as he jumped in front of her.
She turned away from her attacker to run, suddenly a pair of arms closed around her chest from behind.
"Why be difficult for my boy?" Bobby Grey asked as he pushed her face down into the snow.
Gemma was dragged kicking and screaming into the trees and tied spread eagled on her back. Bobby had brought Danny's bag he kept in the trunk of his car for difficult girls. The two boys cut all of Gemma's clothes off leaving her in her underwear shivering in the snow. Both boys started touching her, Gemma screamed her head off.
"Scream all you want no one can hear you." Smiled Danny
"HELP ME!" Gemma screamed

JJ knocked on the car window frightening the occupant. He lowered the window and smiled at JJ
"Can I help you officer?" He asked
"We are looking for Gemma Roberts, have you seen her here tonight?" Asked JJ
"No Ma'am." He shook his head
Emily walked up behind JJ getting her cell phone out and dials Gemma's number. After a few seconds her cell phone starts ringing on the dash.
"Pass me that cell phone please." JJ asked
He reached for the phone and handed it over looking very suspicious.
"What's your name? Is this your car and what are you doing here tonight?" A suspicious Emily asked him
"My name is Jamie Wood Ma'am, my friend Bobby Grey dropped me off to look after his friends car." Jamie told Emily
Emily raised her eyebrows at the answer. She was about to ask him the name of his friend when an obviously guilty man spoke
"The car belongs to Danny Talbot he is looking for his Girl friend, she ran into the woods." He told Emily quietly
"Why did Gemma run into the woods Jamie?" Emily asked
"Erm...I erm don't Know." He spluttered out
"She ran away from him didn't she Jamie?" Emily asked him getting annoyed with him now
"Yes." He whispered
The wind was starting to get stronger and the snow started to fall.
"We need to find her quickly the wind will lower the temperature rapidly." Tania told them
JJ called Garcia and asked her to track Bobby's cell phone. she told them it was 200M to their NW. Emily handcuffed Jamie to the steering wheel and radioed the sheriff and brought him up to date. Trina grabbed her rucksack from the trunk and the three ladies started towards the phones location.

Approaching the location of the cell phone the three women started to hear "HELP ME!" carrying on the wind. JJ indicated to Trina to hold back as Emily split off to go around one side of the trees. JJ pulled her weapon and slowly made her way towards the shouting. She rounded a tree and found Gemma tied face down spread eagled between four trees, Bobby and Danny stood over her.
"POLICE! step away from Gemma and place your hands on your heads!" Ordered JJ
Both boys heads snapped around to look at JJ with utter shock on their faces
"Help me please JJ!" Screamed Gemma
Bobby complied to JJ's command and placed his hands on his head and stepped away from Gemma. Danny pulled a knife from his pocket and jumped behind her head and placed it to her throat.
"POLICE! Drop the knife NOW! This is your only warning!" Yelled Emily
He lowered the knife and started to cut at her throat.
"BANG! BANG!" Emily fired twice hitting him in his shoulder.
Danny cried out in pain and brought his left hand up to his injured shoulder and started to run off into the trees. Emily holstered her weapon and turned to run after Danny but suddenly Trina grabbed her.
"Stop Emily, we need to help Gemma, the weather is turning we are going to be in whiteout conditions soon. We will put the tent up quickly and get Gemma dressed and try and keep her warm. We will wait for the sheriff I have phoned Penny she has my phones location. Gemma is who needs us now, he won't survive long out there with his injuries." Trina tells her
Emily nods and follows Trina's instructions while JJ unties Gemma and gets her dressed and into the sleeping bag. After ten minutes all five of them are in the tent waiting for the rescue team.
"Thanks Trina, I would have just run after him." Smiled Emily
"It takes time to learn all her moods up here Emily, she is a unforgiving bitch at times up here good and bad means nothing to her. He's dead unless he finds shelter quickly." She smiled
Gemma started mumbling and her shivering stopped. Bobby smiled at her in the sleeping bag knowing she was probably going to die. Trina looked at the smirking boy and lost her temper, she pulled back her arm and punched the grinning idiot in his nose.
"I swear to god if she dies I will make your life a living hell. Turn and face the door." Pointed Trina
"What are you two fools grinning at, if your not careful I will make you turn and face the tent wall." She smirked
They had been rescued an hour later and Gemma had been taken to hospital. Her condition is critical, Emily, JJ and Trina are sat outside her hospital room waiting for news.

The next morning found Emily and JJ writing their reports of what happened, Danny Talbot had been found frozen to death 45 Meters away from the tent. Jamie Wood and Bobby Grey had both been arrested and sat in the cells awaiting questioning. Garcia was pacing outside the Sheriffs office waiting for Trina who was being told off for assaulting Bobby Grey.
She walked out and Garcia pulled her into a hug.
"Are you ok Triny?" She asked
"I'm suspended for a week, the sheriff told me he didn't have a choice. He blames it on me being around Emily and JJ too much. Take the week of Penny?" She shyly asked
Garcia just pulled her head towards her and planted a chaste kiss on her lips and then whispered in her ear. As Garcia continued whispering Trina's face continued to redden as she enthusiastically nodded.
