Within the confines of the Northern Base, its Mistress Sophia analysed the unusual situation. "You say that Espada - no, Calibur", she had to correct herself on his name, trying to forget his downfall subconsciously. "He was the one who did this to Mei-kun?" As she said this, Mei was currently posing in front of a mirror with her new body.

"Yes.", Touma nodded. "It was before I had the opportunity to perform the separation myself, in Yuri's absence."

"I had my own task to carry out.", Yuri reiterated. "Though had I known there was a Meggido, I would've abandoned it to help out. Perhaps you could set me up with one of those small boxes I've seen people use to capture images."

"Cellphones?", Touma suggested.

"That's the word.", Yuri pointed his finger upwards. "How prodigious."

"Can we not focus on these trivial issues right now?", Rintaro urged. "Can we do anything to return Mei-san to her real self?"

"I don't know.", Mei commented. "I think I could get used to living like this. Though the face could do with some changes."

"I'm sorry, Rintaro-kun.", Sophia shook her head as she said this. "But in my 2000 years, I've never found a way to restore someone afflicted with magical deformities or powers to normal. Earth's legends are full of people who went through similar afflictions, with no way to cure them in the Northern Base's archives."

Rintaro pondered this information, then thought of something. "Maybe there's something in the Southern Base"s archives."

"Out of the question." Tetsuo Daishinji, who thanks to their old friend Calibur had been forced, seemingly permanently, into the role of mechanic, which he had already been filling for 15 years beforehand with little complaint. "You seem to be forgetting that Master Logos is after our Seikens and half of the Book of Ancients. We can't just walk in through the front door. They'll be waiting for us."

"And while we may have the advantage of numbers, the two Seikens they do have are especially tricky to defeat in battle.", Ryo Ogami pointed out. "Noroshi's smoke and what I've heard of Kaiji's time manipulation are hard to deal with. We may be able to gain a temporary advantage with the novelist's Elemental Dragon, but will it be enough?"

Everyone thought long and hard on this problem. It was Mei who was the first to say something. "I think I have an idea."

At the Megiddo's own base, Zooous was knocking things off the tables and shelves, before slamming his hands down in anger. "That damn swordsman of darkness. He ruined my fun.", he growled.

"Yes, I can't help but long for the days when Calibur was in our hand as opposed to a wild card.", Storious commented. "But, this hasn't been a total waste of effort." He snapped his fingers, signalling Charybdis to bring in something, which was placed on the table. "This is the book that was knocked out of the Neko Megid following Calibur's attack."

Zooous inspected the tome, surprised by what he saw. "It's still intact."

"Well yes, but not fully." Storious opened the book. Instead of a name, it announced "Mezameyo!", before summoning a copy of the human woman that had been used to create the original Megid. But she seemed shocked by her own appearance.

"Curse that swordsman of darkness.", the woman hissed in an almost catlike tone. "Because of him, I've become trapped in this pathetic human body. While the woman who inhabited it is in my body."

"Such a situation as his has been unheard of for centuries.", Storious said to his allies. "A human ends up in a Megid's body and vice versa. But there is a way we can restore our loyal soldier. If we can get the two displaced subjects to touch each other and the damaged book, then the two will become one once more, with one mind and one body."

"Which means that I can still have my fun.", Zooous howled in excitement. "We just need to bring the two together. But how?"

"Leave that with me.", Storious replied as he took out a book from their pre-exhausting pile. This one hadn't been used in 8, going on 9 years. Now seemed like a good time to bring it out again.
