Marinette awoke, the sounds of tweeting birds and a light breeze filled her ears. She smiled happily, a little ray of sunshine hitting the side of her face through her trapdoor. She stretched and yawned, going over to her hamster cage, grabbing a water bottle
"Here you go tikki", she said, filling up her hamsters water tank. She ran to her closet, quickly picking out a pink shirt with black overalls and white high-tops. She put her hair into her regular pigtails, sighing in the mirror.
"New day...a Sunday." She said smiling.
Running downstairs she grabbed an apron, tying it around her waist quickly, she ran to the back of the shop, both of her parents covered in flour, and baking.
"Good morning dear, your up earlier than usual", Sabine said smiling at her daughter.
"Yeah..i had a good nights sleep", marinette said sheepishly.
Sabine raise an eyebrow before shaking her head.
"Well, you can open up the shop and take orders, you know how Parisians love a good coffee and croissant on a Sunday morning".
Marinette nodded, heading to the front of the store to open up.
It only took 5 minutes a before a whole line of people had shown up, with several deliveries being made everywhere, marinette had begun to think that her parents should consider looking for employees.
She wiped the sweat off her forehead, taking a sharp inhale. The bell rang again, this time, Kim stood, hands in his pockets as he stared at his friend.
"I'll have one eclair please", the jock said smirking. Marinette glared at him, an urge to just punch him tempted her for oh the while.
"I'm sorry Kim, but we refuse service to jerks", she retorted.
Kim frowned walking over to the register.
"Come on sis, its not even a big deal."
Marinette stopped, giving him a hard stare that sent shivers down his spine.
"Not a big deal?! Not a big DEAL!? Did you think about how far home was to where the chapel was at? Or the fact that i had to find a ride..with no money on me?", she said steaming.
Kim rolled his eyes.
"I saw you get a ride Mari".
"Don't call me that", marinette retorted. Kim stayed silent before pulling out a roll of money in his hand.
"The money...from each of our classmates... 492 euros..like promised", he said throwing the money on the counter.
He made his way to the door before turning his head.
"It was nice seeing you bond with that boy and finally let your true self out sis...thats why I dared you in the first place".
Kim left, leaving a thinking mari. She glanced down at the money on the able, grabbing it in an instance.
"Thanks Kim".
Once orders were finished, Marinette took her apron off, slowly going upstairs as she looked at the money in her hands.
She got what she wanted..but why did it feel so wrong? Like there was more to finish than just this.
She shrugged, putting the money in her pocket to go back up the stairs.
She opened her trapdoor, the smell of fresh air filling her her nostrils from her windows being slightly opened. She sat in her desk chair, playing with the keyboard on the computer.
"What's wring with me Tikki?" She said turning to her hamster. Tikki only tilted her head, walking towards the end of the cage to face Marinette, her small paw curled around the bar in question.
"I feel like there's another part to the dare"...the designer said questioningly. Tikki squeaked, and although it wasn't an actual discussion between the two, marinette loved every moment of The small talk.
"I think your right...i should get some fresh air", she said cheekily.
Tikki tilted her head
I have no idea what you're talking about...but okay
Adrien ran out of the mansion, while Nathalie bellowed his name from inside the beautiful house. His head down and his black hoodie covered each side of his face. The breeze blew, causing him to smile at the fresh air known as freedom, but sometimes that special gift came with fighting for it. The mansion gates came into view, adriens face turning into a light frown. He looked back, the image of his bodyguard chasing him quickly.
The teenager huffed, looking up at the tall gates. He only shrugged before climbing the obstacle that blocked him from his freedom with pride. His hands gripped the metal bars, the bag on his shoulder pulling on his arm, making it harder to reach the other side of the gate.
"Dang it", he said underneath his breath as the bag had gotten caught on the top and pointy pillars on the gate. He yanked the bag off, looking at how high he was up from the ground...he gulped.
"Here goes nothing", he said bravely.
The boy jumped, squatting and rolling down as to not break the fall. He stood back up in a running position, turning his head around to see his body guard hold the bars that separated the two of them.
Although it was the gorillas duty to protect him from his freedom, he smiled at adrien, waving his hand as if to say, go..but come back later.
Adrien nodded his head, smirking as he ran off in the big city.
"And that will be 16.41 euros", the cashier said to marinette.
Marinette took out her purse, giving the money as the giant rolls of fabric were given to her.
"Thank you", the buzzing designer said. She wore a smile on her face, slightly glancing at the huge rolls of fabric that blocked her view. The all new fabric seemed to glisten and smile at her, but marinette felt way much more excited to put them in use.
She walked out of the store, opening the door with her foot cautiously. The young teenager had seemed to loose balance of the rolls of fabric that leaned on the right side.
"Woahh", marinette said holding out the rolls so that they didn't fall. One of them had slipped from her grip, almost crashing on the floor until she put her foot out, catching it gracefully. She exhaled, swiping the sweat form her brow. She bent down to pick up the fabric before a figure came into view. Her eyes went wide, as a boy in a black hoodie had seemed to be running for his life. He ran into her, the fabrics scattering everywhere.
"Oh come on", marinette said bending down to pick them all up.
She would have to wash them when she went home. Adrien had stood up, looking down at the bluenette.
"I'm so sorry, i was in a rush and I didn't look where i was going", he said bending down to help her out.
"Well obvious-", marinette stopped her retorsion, looking at adriens green orbs. They both locked eyes, blue and green seeming to just..click.
"Marinette"
"Adrien", she said back.
They both shook their heads, any sort of mesmerization leaving their minds.
"I didn't expect to see you here", adrien said looking down at the rolls of fabric that he held. Marinette tucked a piece of hair underneath her ear, smiling at him.
"Well, i did want to use the money Kim gave me for fabric..so here i am!", she said chuckling. Adrien smiled looking down at her little figure and the big rolls.
"I can help you take these", he said humbly. Marinette blinked before bitting her lip.
"It's okay, i mean, you looked...in a rush", she said looking up and down at adriens off outfit.
Adrien looked down at himself before he scratched his neck and chuckled.
"Oh..uh yeah, its alright..i can help you for a sec though", he blushed. Marinette smiled, adding one roll of fabric to his 2 piece carry.
"Alright then, use those mussels rich boy", she said smirking.
