Marauders In Trouble
CHAPTER 3: THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEK OF HORRORS
"Oh...hey, Dennis!" He looked a little disappointed at this interruption, "What?"
"It's Professor Dumbledore."
"And what about Professor Dumbledore?" He asked her.
"He's says to tell you, Report at his office, he says ASAP!"
"Oh, shoot!" James glanced at his watch. "Okay! I am coming, thank you Dennis!"
"So, what did you do now?" She grinned at him.
"Oh...That." James said, "It's nothing, nothing..."
"Really, James." Lily asked, she was little concerned. "Being called into the Headmaster's office this late...is nothing."
"I know...I know!" He ran his hand through his hair. "What is your answer?"
"About what...?" Lily's eyes flashed with mischief.
"Really...again, Lily?"
"I'm sorry, sorry...I'm just messing with you!" She smiled.
"Then?"
"Yes...I will!"
"Really?" James's eyes flashed.
She nodded.
His watch beeped, and he jumped,
"Shoot!" He said. "I'm sorry! I have to go...!"
"Okay!" She smiled.
He ran down the stairs, and she could see him running in the grounds, and disappeared in the building.
"Man...he runs fast!" She sighed. Looking through the window. She smiled.
Finally...It had happened. This was something she had been waiting for.
Ever since the fifth year, James had been different, he had changed. She was waiting, that he would ask her again. But he didn't. Ever since she had told him not to talk to him ever again. He had literally taken it to his heart. He had never ever talked to her, except for small talk in class, or in the hallways. And they were often started by Lily.
She had been surprised how changed, and how different he became. He was working harder. She saw James getting higher grades than everyone, even Remus.
"James Potter..." She murmured. If this was her first, second, third or even fourth year, she wouldn' t have been believed it.
But here it was, she was believing it...because she felt it. She was sad, that she rejected James for so many years. She was feeling what he had felt when he didn't look at her twice when they ever passed in the halls. He didn't stare at her incessantly in the classes. Instead, he only paid attention in class and got the top grades in class.
She glanced at her wrist watch.
"Oh Crap!" She had been standing here for almost half an hour.
James knocked on the door, past the gargoyle.
"James Potter, reporting for duty." The door clicked at his words.
"Your code...Sir!" the door said in a sing song voice.
"Prongs Killer Antlers!" James sighed. It was Sirius who had chosen this name for him.
Dumbledore laughed from inside, he always did when he heard James say it.
"Ah! Mr. Potter!" He said, "Please, sit down!" The headmaster, Dumbledore pointed to the empty seat in the room. "Mr. Black is already here!"
"Is something wrong?" James asked worriedly. "Did something happen?"
"As I was briefing to Mr. Black here!" Dumbledore waved a hand towards Sirius who was sitting up straight.
"What is wrong?" James was panicking. "What's happening?"
"I need you both to go..."
Dumbledore slowly explained on the next task he was about to send both of them. He wanted James and Sirius to spy on the Death Eaters.
"You both are animagus, use it!" Dumbledore instructed them. "But don't let it be spotted or noticed. And if it isn't possible, just use your training. Camofluage yourself, as much as you can."
"How long?"
"I have heard a big blow out in the next week." He told him. "So, Stick to them all week!"
"All week?" Sirius asked.
Hey, everyone...Please leave a review. Till the Next Chapter, Alyna!
