Who Is In Control: Pt. 3- Got a Deathwish? [ACTION]

"Why there's a Porsche here, I have no idea." The unbreakable hero commented and opened the posh car's trunk. "If you guys have any weapons and supplies you wanna bring with us, now's the time to do it." She declared, to which Toga tossed a box of her knives and a case full of tranquilizer darts inside. "I have to admit I'm impressed, princess." Dabi grinned as he slammed the trunk closed. "Don't be so shocked, I've broken the law before." Jaclyn chuckled softly.

"I call driving!" Toga yelled and tried to get in the driver's seat before Sero beat her to it. "Thanks for remembering that I can't drive." His mentor blurted, taking shotgun. "You still don't know how to drive?" Dabi snickered in amusement, sliding into the back. "I can drive, but I crashed Cactus's car into a tree during my last attempt. She had to get a brand new car and we didn't talk for months. So I decided I'll never drive unless I have to. That's part of why I have Cellophane here." Jaclyn explained, her cheeks flushing bright pink.

"Let me make you a key, Cellophane. Gimme a sec," Diamond took one of Dabi's nose piercings and molded it into a key with her hands. "I had to pay a lot for that one. Piercings aren't cheap, dollface." He groaned, crossing his arms. "Saving Mira isn't gonna be cheap either." Jaclyn sneered tartly. They scowled at each other but didn't say anything.

"It's great that you guys are getting along, but does anyone have an address or something for the GPS?" Hanta Sero asked & used the key, revving up the engine. "I'll give you directions." Dabi suggested. "Then shouldn't you sit shotgun?" Diamond glared at him. "No way. If people recognize me on the road, we'll get pulled over." The villain covered in scars insisted. "I might stab people if I sit shotgun." Toga added cheerfully. "We know, Toga." Jaclyn answered her calmly despite losing her patience. "I'll probably have to take the highway and park at least a block or two away from the place. I think-"

"You're smarter than you look, flex tape. I'll give you that." Blueflame grinned, impressed. "I'll take that as a compliment." Sero muttered absentmindedly. "I swear if Dynamite by BTS plays again, I'm gonna cut off my ears..." Diamond complained and crossed her arms as the radio started playing. "Then who's gonna yank 'em with their teeth?" Dabi flirted before remembering he was being a navigator. "Shit, uh, you're gonna need to turn left after that Hawks billboard and keep going straight 'til you hit the highway. I'll tell you which exit to go on when I see it, flex tape." He directed attentively. Sero groaned at the nickname but hit the gas and followed Dabi's directions anyway.

"Great, we're almost out of gas-" Jaclyn complained, staring at the gas tank meter before Hanta stopped the car. "At least we're here. I parked a block or two away so security wouldn't see us." Her sidekick interrupted encouragingly. "Damn, he's LOV material. I'll have to keep that in mind." Dabi commented as the four got out of the car. "I don't intend on leaving Diamond's agency, but, uh, thanks." Cellophane declined awkwardly. "Let's go kill people!" Toga cheered eagerly, earning some sighs and a smirk from Blueflame.

"I'm praying you all know what to do." Diamond muttered as they stood in front of the trunk of the Porsche. "I make an explosion, you and Toga kill any threats, flex tape gets your kid and we get a new getaway car." Dabi remarked with a satisfied smirk. "Smug bastard..." She groaned, hiding the fact that she was impressed he was paying attention. "We should have a team name." The blonde chirped as the unbreakable hero opened the trunk. "Take your loot and try to stay alive, okay? But-" Jaclyn tried to make a final sentimental statement to her team. "Mira is our first priority. We know, doll."

They sighed at Jaclyn and Dabi pulling each other aside and getting back in the back of the Porsche. "Do we wait for them to start making out or..." Toga mumbled boredly to Sero. "I think we should wait for our cue to go." He replied and sat on the ground, pulling out his phone. "Hey, do you have Among Us?" The chaotic blonde asked curiously. "Yeah, but I don't think we can play it with only two people." Diamond's sidekick answered.

"Damn it." The petite villain pouted. "Uh, what other games do you have?" Sero inquired awkwardly. "I have so many! I got Dumb Ways to Die, Fruit Ninja-" Toga rambled energetically. "You have Fruit Ninja?!" Cellophane mused. "Wanna talk about our games while we wait for them to notice us not doing anything?" They nodded at each other in agreement.

"Are you sure you can handle it in there?" Dabi cut the silence with his former flame. "What do you mean? I used to be the number five pro hero, I have my own agency now. Of course I can handle it. Sure, it's been a few months since I've actually done missions like this. That doesn't mean-" Diamond blushed when he put a finger to her lips. "I just hope you aren't disappointed when you find out who took the strings from me." He interrupted with a slight frown, knowing how quickly she was to trust people. "It's an expression." Blueflame added to get his point across better.

"I knew that. Someone else took over selling Mira's blood?" He nodded. "Is it Shigaraki or Kurogiri?" Dabi shook his head. "We had the whole operation bought out from our hands. We had enough money to get several hideouts across Japan." He explained. She squinted in thought, putting her hands in her lap. "I thought your eye mask worked like glasses so you could see far away..." Blueflame muttered. "No, it's not that. I just don't understand who would pay so much to do the same thing you came up with." Jaclyn replied, "Getting recruits through giving quirkless people living in the slums...who would be so desperate to get new members to pay the League that much money?" He sighed softly.

"I just...if you bump into the perpetrators in charge, don't be disappointed. Y'know that the-" Dabi replied with a deeper frown on his face. "Real world is about clawing for survival." She interrupted with a solemn smile. "Yeah. If this works out, I could get handjob to let you visit whenever you want..." He suggested, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. "Your idea of romance is still fucking weird." Diamond teased. "It'll get-"

Sero struggled to keep Toga from stabbing the glass of one of the windows and aggressively knocked on the car door. "We should get going..." Jaclyn blurted, tucking a strand of her black hair behind her ear. "Yeah." Dabi said back. Their faces flushed as he was opening the car door so they could get out. "Don't die on me, dollface." He whispered in her ear. "No promises." The black haired vigilante muttered back.

"That took forever! I want blood!" Toga whined, squirming while Cellophane tried to hold her back from destroying anything early. "Toga, you can stop doing that now." Dabi interrupted his friend's train of thought with a deadpan. "You can let her go now, Ser-Cellophane." Diamond insisted expressionlessly. "Gotcha." Sero nodded and released Toga from his arms. "I just don't want to disappoint you." He continued on remorsefully. The villain covered in scars scoffed at his vulnerability. "You were better than any Uber driver I've had while I was drunk in the past three years, I don't think you need to worry about disappointing anyone." Blueflame recalled with an unexpectedly reassuring smile. "I never thought I'd see the day when a villain would compliment me..." Sero mumbled, his cheeks flushing bright pink from the praise.

"You are such a fucking softie, Dabi!" Jaclyn remarked, eliciting snorts of amusement from Cellophane and Toga. "Oh, shut it. You're not any better, princess." Dabi grunted, nudging her elbow. "Hey!" The unbreakable hero winced, caressing her arm. "Oh shit, I underestimated my strength again." He chuckled. "You think?" Diamond sassed sarcastically. "We should get going before any security guards do a perimeter check. Toga needs to shoot some knives at the security cameras and use the tranq darts on the guards first." Cellophane recalled the next phase of the plan, "Or..." The villain covered in scars glared at Sero. "Or what?" He muttered.

"Or I could use my tape to yank the cameras off their posts and ruin the wiring so they can't get any more footage." Diamond nodded attentively at the idea. "Yes yes! Then I can get the blood of the guards!" The blonde squeaked excitedly. "So that's what we're doing now?" Dabi raised a brow. "I guess so. It's a good plan and gives Toga less work to do. That way everyone can contribute something." Jaclyn approved with a nod. "There's that gas tower thing from the blueprints, I'll sneak up to it and make that explosion." Blueflame glared at the water tower-like structure close to the premises.

"We got this." Cellophane grinned confidently. "Yeah." Diamond smiled back at them, "Positions, guys." Toga and Sero went into their designated places and started getting ready for the next phase of the plan.

"Hey, thanks." Jaclyn mumbled to Dabi, quickly planting a kiss on his lips before teleporting past the security guards and cameras. "No problem." The villain covered in scars whispered even though she couldn't hear. His cheeks flushing bright pink as he diligently snuck past the facility's security and made his way toward the gas tower.

"Yeet!" The chaotic blonde squawked psychotically and sliced the security guards into pieces. "Nice job, Toga. You exposed us. You're lucky I destroyed the cameras first." Cellophane muttered and swung into the entrance behind her, "I don't think Diamond stuck with the plan." His companion frowned in agreement. "You destroy any more security cameras, I'll take the blood of anyone who tries to get in our way." Toga conspired discreetly. "That's actually a good plan." Sero replied in agreement, "We can meet back here or in the complex garage after finding Diamond and Mira. And yes, this place has a garage. I remember from the blueprints."

"Sorry, but it looks like it's lights out for you." Diamond declared in an unusually villainous tone to the scientists in the corridor surrounding several concealed shelves of equipment and samples of unknown substances. "Tell her that we have trespassers!" One of the scientists yelled to their colleagues as the manipulation hero molded a piece of scrap metal into multiple knives and used them to behead all of the other scientists. "Oh..." Jaclyn let out a sigh of relief at the only living scholar cowering in her presence.

"Now. Tell me, where is my daughter," She seethed with undeniable frustration, molding the bloodied knives she used into one sleek sword. "Ms. Margaret Robin." Diamond huffed with impatience at the petrified young lady. The blonde shuddered under Jaclyn's gaze, desperate to elude the scene without any real way out. "I-I-I didn't know there was a daughter involved! Please! Don't hurt me! I have a family! They all had a family, and they're gone!" Margaret Robin yelled in terror. Diamond frowned at what she did, realizing how she promised not to kill anyone and just impulsively insinuated violence on innocent people. "Shit..." She mumbled in shame.

"That doesn't-that doesn't change anything. Tell me where my daughter is or you'll be next." Jaclyn reiterated her demand. "Again, I didn't know anyone's daughter was involved!" Margaret squeaked. "Was anyone who looked like me, but smaller, brought into this facility?" Diamond asked, calming herself down. "Subject 83?" Robin answered, her eyes bulging. "Subject 93?" The manipulation hero muttered to herself. "No, Subject 83. We've been studying multiple blood samples from multiple subjects with quirks for this program and-" The blonde scientist narrated in detail before being interrupted. "Where is 83? I need to see her." Diamond queried, her voice growing more vulnerable and desperate.

"I know that look. The look of a mother terrified for her child. I know that look..." Margaret said back, "83 is down the hall. Keep going straight, make a left at the cafeteria and you'll find where subjects numbered from 75 to 85." Diamond unexpectedly gave the scientist she was about to kill a big hug. "Thank you." The unbreakable hero whispered before sprinting away to find her daughter.
