The Next Day,
Kushina walks in 64 Tenohira Hospital with Hyuga Hinata. They went up 3 floors on the lift. Walking in the 2nd corridor, they entered room 210. When they came in, they could not believe their eyes.
Sasuke had already woken up and was looking outside through the window from his bed. Kushina walks to him calling his name, " Sasuke ". He turned his head towards her and smiled at her. A true smile. Not the fake one he gave others. This was a real one. He really felt happy that he was alive. He told her, " I'll keep my promise, Kushina ".
Kushina's eyes spilled tears hearing him call her name. She hugged him while crying. She kept saying, " Sasuke, Sasuke, Sasuke! ". Sasuke hugged her back holding his tears back. He then brought her face-to-face with him. He told her, " Kushina! No matter what happens from now on, I'll always be near you. ".
Looking at that heartful exchange, Hinata couldn't hold back tears. Sasuke looked at her and said, " Nice to meet you. I'm Sasuke Uchiha, Hope you are safe. ". Hinata replied, " Nice to meet you. I'm Hinata Hyuga, Thank You for saving me. ".
A month later,
A bright red car stops in front of a small two-bedroom apartment. Kushina and Sasuke come out of it and enters the house. Kushina says, " You go and bathe. I'll fix breakfast in the meantime. ". Sasuke goes upstairs to his room to find it neat and tidy. He smiles at the sight of it. He takes a towel and goes into the bath.
Sasuke POV (' '- Sasuke's Thoughts)
In the bath,
As I cleaned the dirt and cool myself with a cold shower. My mind wanders to the events happening around me.
'I have a well functioning heart now. And I have the responsibility of taking care of Kushina. I'll have to become stronger. But what should I do?'
As I look at the mirror, I realized the first step I should take. With a smirk on my face, I reach for the rack on the wall.
Nobody POV
After the bath,
Kushina worked on fixing dinner. She heard footsteps on the stairs. She guessed it was Sasuke she didn't turn around. Suddenly, She felt someone hug her from behind. She gasped. Then she heard a familiar voice, " Do you need help with something? ". She calmed down realizing it was Sasuke. She replied continuing to make breakfast, " No need. Just sit on the table. ". Suddenly, Sasuke spun her around. Kushina didn't expect that and yelled softly, " Woah!".
When he came to her view, she was beyond surprised. Sasuke had cut some of his hair which he never did before, letting all of his handsome features reveal themselves. He had worn different clothes. They were not the conservatives he wore anymore. They were the ones she'd recommend and he never wore. These clothes were the normal ones a teenager wore but now it just revealed the handsomeness of his which he kept hidden unknowingly. Sasuke asked, " I finally am ready to wear these. Are these okay? ". She replied with a smile, " You know, I think I found a potential ladykiller here. ". Sasuke replied, " Stop teasing me! ".She said, " No it's true. ". He ignored it by saying, " Whatever, I'm starving!.". They sat for breakfast with a new aura of pleasantness.
