The Fairy Tail members were working hard getting the celebration all set up. A small cake that says "we appreciate you Wendy!" was written on it. Lucy was getting giddy, imagining Wendy's reaction.
Gajeel was messing with his guitar when Levy walked up to him.
"Hm? What's up shorty?" Gajeel asked, giving her usual nickname.
"I never knew you had a soft spot for Wendy." She teased, Gajeel looking away in response.
"The only reason I'm doing this because I wanna perform. Could care less what the shrimp thinks." Gajeel responded.
Levy puts a hand on Gajeel's shoulder.
"Come on now, you don't gotta hide it. You're both dragon slayers so it's okay to admit it."
"Her being a dragon slayer got nothing to do with it."
"So you admit you like her then?"
Gajeel froze and blushed a little.
"J-just go and read a book like you geeks do already!" Gajeel snapped.
Levy walks off snickering to herself.
Back at the bar Lucy was chatting with Mirajane about the party before Natsu walked up.
"Hey Lucy, do you remember when Wendy is gonna be here?" He asked.
"Oh yeah, it's supposed to be-" Lucy looked at the clock and noticed it's late in the afternoon.
"Huh? That's strange, she should've been here by now…"
"Oh! I forgot to tell you! The train station she was gonna take is being repaired, knowing her, she probably is taking a carriage back here. So I assume she won't be here for a couple more hours." Mirajane told Lucy and Natsu.
"Ah, I see. I hope they're ok." Lucy looked down, feeling a little worried.
"Oh come on Lucy! She'll be fine! She had detours on missions before!" Natsu tried to cheer her up, remembering Wendy's first mission with Happy and Freed. Lucy nods in response before Erza walks over, equipped with a chef's outfit.
"He's right, besides Wendy has gotten stronger. If she runs into trouble she can handle herself." Erza said in confidence.
"Guys! I think I see someone coming towards the guild!" Warren announced, seeing a silhouette outside walking towards the guild.
"Is it Wendy? Maybe she got here earlier than we thought!" Lucy beamed.
"Everyone! Get ready!"
The guild members got to their places, getting ready to surprise the sky dragon slayer. After a few moments, the doors opened slowly!
"Surprise!" Everyone jumped out, however the person who stood at the entrance wasn't Wendy, but a tall man wearing a white cloak. The man however, did not react.
"O-oh! Sorry, wrong person hehe…" Lucy nervously laughed, sweating profusely.
The scene felt extremely uncomfortable as the man did not say a word and proceeded to walk inside towards the bar. Only the sound of his boots making clunk sounds each step he took.
"Hello, is there something you need help with?" Mirajane greeted the stranger before he sat down. The scene was quiet for a moment as the members couldn't help but look at the bizarre looking man, until he spoke up.
"Indeed...I'm looking for someone, however I can see that she's not present."
The members looked at each other looking confused and not sure what to make of what he's saying. The mood broke when Erza walked over towards the man, still in her chef outfit.
"Who is it you're looking for exactly?" She asked. The man did not look at her, only looking at the table.
"I believe her name was...Bendy Maple…"
The whole guild gave a collective "Eehh?!" After hearing the name.
"Uh, we don't know anyone here named...Bendy Maple…" Erza replied.
"Oh good lord why do we always attract the weirdos…" Lucy thought to herself.
The man sat there, not making any noticeable moves. He looked up at the ceiling.
"Perhaps we have a misunderstanding. I am looking for the one called "Maiden of the Sky"" he looked down again. "Do you know her whereabouts?"
Immediately the guild members started to look at the man with confusion and slight worry, there was quiet chatter among the members wondering if Wendy knew this person and what he wanted.
"Wendy?" Erza broke the chatter "what do you need from her?"
He did not answer and smirked.
"Ah, so her name is Wendy then…"
"She isn't here at the moment" Erza answered "but I would like to know what you need from her. I would also like to know who *you* are."
There was a small amount of silence, the atmosphere started to feel tense. Several members glared at the man with distrust. Lucy took notice and started to get worried.
"Those are none of your concern." The man was the one who broke the silence this time. "I need her for something important, that's all."
Immediately after Erza summoned a sword and pointed it towards the man's head.
"E-Erza?!" Lucy panicked
"I won't ask again, who are you?" Erza provoked, however the man did not even flinch. Natsu, Gray, Gajeel and others got into battle positions with Lucy looking more and more concerned.
There was silence for what seemed like minutes but only lasted for a couple seconds. The man looked at Erza with his shining purple eyes.
"I can see it, a huge mistake you all will make." He started to stand up. Immediately Erza took a swing at the man before he slightly dodged to the left.
"Who are you, fiend?!" Erza threatened, taking a battle stance. The other members start to surround him, also taking battle stances.
"W-wait guys! What're you doing?!" Lucy asked "What if he's not a bad guy?!"
"How about you quit acting suspicious and tell us what you want from Wendy!" Natsu cracked his fits before they envelope into flames. The man stood, not moving and appearing very calm. He closed his eyes and gave a devilish smirk.
"Our future, and I won't let mere wizards take that away…" he announced before casting a large gust of wind that surrounded him. The wind was strong enough to push everyone back, knocking over the chairs, tables and breaking the glass.
"Tch, so he uses wind magic huh?!" Natsu tried to stay on his feet, struggling to walk towards the gust of wind. "I've defeated tons of wind wizards, and you're no excep-" Natsu gets interrupted as he loses his footing and flies back, landing in a knocked over pile of tables. Erza requipped into her Purgatory Armor, not being affected by the winds she runs towards Hahlos and takes another swing. As Erza runs towards Hahlos she sees him requip a saber and blocks her attack.
"Wind and requip magic?!" Erza and the man continue to clash when his cloak flies off. The members look in shock, revealing Hahlos and his large white wings and halo.
"What the hell?! What is he?!" Gray blurted.
"Is he an angel?!" Lucy also blurted. Hahlos proceeded to point a finger at Erza, before she could react she was immediately blown back effortlessly by a strong gust of wind, flying out of the guild through a wall.
"Erza!" Several members shout out. With the strong gusts of wind gone, members came charging towards them.
"Water Slicer!"
"Ice-Make Hammer!" Both Juvia and Gray attack first, however Hahlos easily sidesteps the water slicers and cuts Gray's ice hammer in half.
"Iron Club of the Iron Dragon!" Gajeel was next to attack, his iron club was swiftly dodged by Hahlos before he grabs it and pulls Gajeel towards him and strikes his stomach and throws him at other members trying to ambush him.
"Scorpio!" Lucy shouts out before summoning Scorpio.
"We are! I'll take care of this! Sand buster!" Scorpio proceeds to launch a large gust of sand towards Hahlos.
"Wind Turbine…" Hahlos puts his hand towards the sand before blowing it away, sending Scorpio and Lucy flying out of the building.
"Lucy! Damn you bastard!" Natsu engulfs himself in flames and charges towards Hahlos. He stops Natsu's attack head on and grabs his head, burying him into the ground, however.
"Roar of the Fire Dragon!" Natsu let's out a roar of flame before Hahlos tilts his head back, avoiding his attack. He kicks Natsu, sending him flying shortly after.
"Damn! What's going on?! None of us can hit this guy!" Gray says.
Hahlos closes his eyes for a moment. He smirks before opening them, spreading his wings.
As he prepares to take off, he looks to the side, seeing Erza in her Black Wing Armor charging towards him. He clashed once more with her.
"Where do you think you're going, fiend!?" She asks.
"Shouldn't it be obvious?" Hahlos responded. "If she's not here then I have no business here."
"Why you!" Erza shouts "You won't be going anywhere!" She then turns her gaze towards Natsu "Natsu! Find Wendy! She may be close towards town!"
Natsu gets up from the debris "What?! Let's defeat this jerk together!"
"NATSU! Please! You're the only one who can find her!" Erza didn't give her usually intimidating look this time, but a look of desperation.
Natsu took notice quickly and nodded his head.
"Happy! Let's go!"
"Aye!" Happy grabs Natsu "Max Speed!" They quickly leave the guild.
"No matter what you do is pointless, I can see it all." Hahlos announces before several guild members surround him.
"I don't know what you want from Wendy, but we won't let you get to her!" Erza shouted.
"Uuuurrrrgh, are we there yet?" Wendy whined, slouched over looking like she's about to throw up. Chelia sits next to Wendy, comforting her while smiling nervously.
"Quit whining child, we should be there soon." Carla scoffed before glancing outside seeing the town.
"Why do you always gotta be so mean to her?" Chelia asked with a pout.
"I'm only teaching her how to be more mature." Carla replied, still looking out the window.
Suddenly, after what it seemed like a long time. Carla had a vision of the future. She grew wide eyed and sweated slightly.
"A city on the clouds…
Angels…
A pink haired figure…" Carla thought to herself. However one vision stood out from the others.
"Wendy...striking Natsu in the chest full of anger?" Carla slowly turned towards Wendy, both her and Chelia took quick notice of her expression.
"Carla? Is everything alright?" Wendy asked, trying to regain her composure. Carla felt her head ache as she held it. She rushes towards the one using the carriage.
"Stop the carriage!"
"Wha? We're almost at our destination?"
"I SAID STOP IT!" Carla shouted full of worry.
"Hey Carla? What's wrong? You're scaring me…" Wendy, knowing Carla's powers, started to feel worried, then suddenly…
"WENDY!" In the distance was Natsu flying towards the carriage before hopping off Happy and landing in front of the carriage, forcing the carriage to stop.
"Natsu?!" All three of the girls stepped out of the carriage.
"There you are! Look, I don't have time to explain. But are you able to fight?"
Wendy grewed wide eyed, she didn't normally see Natsu like this. And with Carla's recent behavior, she knew something was up.
"Natsu? What do you mean?! What's going on?!"
"I see, so she was here?"
Everyone turned their heads quickly and saw Hahlos sitting on top of a large rock.
"I must thank you fire dragon, I was able to find her location because of you."
"You! Don't tell me...they all lost?!" Natsu clutches his fists.
"Worry not, I just threw some sand in their face." Hahlos points towards the guild, as a whirlwind surrounds the guild, much like when Erigor casted one at a train station all those years ago.
"I can see it however, reinforcements will most definitely show up soon." Hahlos looks at Wendy, giving her shivers.
"You must be the Sky Maiden, I'm afraid you'll have to come with me." Hahlos leaps off the boulder.
"Like hell she is!" Natsu's fists enveloped into flames. Putting his two hands together he creates a massive fireball.
"Brilliant Flame Of The Fire Dragon!" He throws it towards Hahlos, creating a large explosion of fire.
"C'mon guys! Let's get out of here!" Happy flies towards the girls.
"No! I'll fight too!" Wendy pumps her fists together before running besides Natsu.
"You there! Get out of here!" Wendy asks the carriage rider before he commands the horse to sprint away quickly.
"Wind Turbine…" Hahlos unleashes a large gust of wind, easily blowing the fire away.
"Let's go Wendy!" Natsu says, puffing his cheeks and making a stance.
"Right!" Wendy replies doing the same thing"
"Roar of the Fire Dragon!"
"Roar of the Sky Dragon!"
They both shoot out their attacks, combining into a Unison Raid.
Hahlos quickly flies away from the attack before he claps his hands together.
"Sky Javelin." Spreading his arms, creating a javelin made out of wind. He throws it towards the two creating a huge explosion of wind and dust. Hahlos lands on the ground before closing his eyes and smirking.
"Claw of the Sky Dragon!" Wendy appears out of the dust, unleashing her Dragon Force about to attack.
Hahlos blocks Wendy's attack with his arms, pushing him back a little.
"Yes, yes! This is what we need!" Hahlos grinned.
Wendy then jumps back "What do you mean?"
Hahlos then dashes towards Wendy. Before she could react he strikes her stomach before a large gust of wind flies from her back. She immediately faints, losing her Dragon Force. As the dust clears, everyone sees in horror as Hahlos hoists her on his shoulder.
"WENDY!" Everyone shouts.
"My errand is done. I admit, humans have grown much stronger over the past decades." Hahlos slightly bows towards Natsu.
"You bastard!" Natsu rushes towards Hahlos, fists enveloped into flames. Carla rushes over as well ready to attack.
"You fiend!" Erza, appearing out of nowhere in her Black Wing Armor about to strike Hahlos down.
"So long…" Hahlos spreads his wings before disappearing from their sight.
It was silent, no one made a sound; they were too shocked over what happened. Carla broke the silence.
"NOOOOOOOO!" She screamed, tears soaking all over her face.
Natsu bends down and punches the ground in anger.
"Damn it! I couldn't protect her!"
Erza clenches her fist in anger.
"Wendy...we're sorry!"
Chelia stood there, eyes wide as dinner plates before tears enveloped and she started to sob.
"I...couldn't do anything! I'm so useless…" she broke down.
