The Reluctant Dominatrix
Chapter 3: Remarkable
"I could have answered your question had you given me the chance," Meredith protests when Addison had cut her off before she could fully explain what TTTS stands for.
"Chin up Grey, I'm this hard on everyone… And not just on the women my husband sleeps with… And not just with my Tinder matches…" Addison quips.
"Shh- we're in public! Anyone could hear you!" Meredith hushes.
"Mm, are you ashamed of matching with me?" Addison counters with her arms crossed.
"N-no-" Meredith protests.
"Or do you get so many matches that I'm hardly remarkable, hmm?" says Addison.
"N-no!" Meredith protests again.
"I can help you with that," Addison smirks.
"What, getting me more Tinder matches?" says Meredith, confused.
"Sure," says Addison. "Because clearly, you need a new profile picture. Your current one shows that-" Addison goes to continue, but Meredith cuts her off this time.
"Yes, yes, you've already said, it was backward, can we move on from that?" Meredith sighs.
"Bring it tomorrow. I can set you up in some better poses," says Addison.
"What, here?" Meredith squeaks.
"Of course not. We'll go to my hotel. Great scenery there," says Addison.
"Your- whaaa-" Meredith gasps.
"I'll meet you in the lobby at eight," Addison promises.
"Oh… Okay-" Meredith gulps before they head back to work.
The rest of the day, Addison is surprisingly quiet about the arrangement she made with Meredith, aside from some winks, and a few sultry looks.
Meredith doesn't quite piece it together until Addison tells off a patient for accusing her of cheating, and Addison announces that she cheated first, and that the patient owes her an apology… And after they both leave the room, for Meredith's benefit, she explains that she and Derek now have an open marriage arrangement, and that that's what they were trying to explain to her before she bolted the night before from the lobby.
"So you both… See other people?" Meredith squeaks.
"If we want to," says Addison. "He lives his life, so do I," Addison shrugs.
"And that works for you?" Meredith asks her.
"Mostly…" says Addison. "Except there tends to be one problem between us…" Addison pauses.
"Which is?" Meredith asks her.
"Which is… We both have strikingly similar tastes," Addison smiles, and then she bursts out laughing.
"Right…" Meredith stands there uncomfortably, until she bursts into laughter also.
"So, are we on for our date tomorrow then?" Addison asks so casually that Meredith could swear she was just asking her about the weather.
"Our… Date…" Meredith runs the words over her tongue as she gives Addison another solide once-over. Those piercing blue eyes. That tall body. That expression that gives her goosebumps.
"I understand if you need a moment to think about it. I understand if you feel a little conflicted over it…" says Addison. "And if you were wondering, I do prefer to have my dates one on one actually…" Addison hushes into Meredith's ear. "But if you insist, then I suppose that my husband and I could think about sharing you," Addison says with a smirk, and she enjoys watching Meredith squirm under her whispers.
"N-no that's alright. We can have our date. Just the two of us, we don't need to tell Dr.- Derek. He doesn't need to know about it. Until after, I mean, I guess if that's what you do I don't know. But I don't need to be the toy that both of you are fighting over-" Meredith insists.
"If you say so," says Addison. "Works for me," she says, with a wide grin that suggests that she's won a battle. "And as I mentioned. Bring your props, and your costume. I'd like to dress you up in them," Addison smiles wickedly.
And then the redhead wraps her arms around Meredith possessively, placing a kiss on the top of her head, and nipping at her neck before releasing her.
"Oh- okay…" Meredith gasps, as she waves to Addison, who is looking over her shoulder at her while walking towards the elevator.
And then Meredith gets a cool glass of water to calm herself down after everything wild that just happened to her.
