Isadora forgot about her own worries as she enjoyed the feast laughing with Alice and occasionally Lily. In general, Hogwarts' experience was wonderful so far. For once in a long time, she felt safe and normal. Even Ro was occasionally smiling as she conversed with Lily and she, too, looked relaxed. Though not as relaxed as a normal person would be but then she doubted her said cousin was normal.

James and Sirius were quite surprised to find both of them in Gryffindor but never the less greeted them.

They met Alice and Frank and honestly, in Dora's opinion, even a blind person could tell how much both were taken by each other. Talk about perception issues.

And then the feast was absolutely delicious. Perhaps the fact that she was tired made it more tasty. She ate till could eat no more. She noticed that Ro was also eating a little. Well, that was definitely an improvement after the past few weeks.

Alice was a wonderful person. So was Lily. Dora immediately knew that she was going to find very good friends in them. She was so happy for Ro when she found out that she was already friends with Lily. Unlike her, Ro didn't make friends easily.

She loved Ro. They were like sisters in all but blood. Past two years had definately brought them closer. They had been through thick and thin together and had reached a level of understanding which could be compared to no other.

She thought she was done for when Remus asked at the feast, "Are you two related to Dumbledore?"

She was never good at lying but fortunately for her Ro knew that, "Dumbledore's an old family friend." She replied.

Ro never exactly lied. She spoke truth which could be incomplete or unrelated but still be true. And good for her, her face never betrayed her.

"Oh." was all Remus replied. Dora unconsciously stared at the sandy haired boy as she thought about what she had seen and how difficult it must be for him to live such a life.

She was brought out of her trance when Alice asked, "Do you two live together?"

Dora was aware of the boys listening in on their conversation and she knew that Ro was aware of that as well.

"Yes, we live at our grandparent's house." Ro half lied with smooth voice which made Isadora once again marvel at her ability of keeping her emotions in check. This topic would be more painful to Ro than it was to her.

"Why? I mean your parents?" This was most insensitive thing anyone could ask so James Potter did, looking perplexed. He melted under the look Lily gave him which asked if he had a death wish.

But the damage was done and Dora knew that Ro knew that as well. She would have to answer. They were all subconsciously waiting for the reply.

"My Mother died when I was child and Do's parents died three years back." She replied in a calculated tone and before anyone could remark she added, "Now if anyone would please pass me the chocolate pudding." Her tone was polite but held a note of finality which told everyone that they should shut up if they know what's good for them.

Remus passed her the pudding as Lily started talking about professors and elective subjects and soon everyone went back to minding their own business. Dora tried listening to Lily but her thought kept wandering back to that night when it had all ended or rather it had all started.

She struggled to keep her mind from travelling the dark path of thoughts it wanted to travel and barely listened to Dumbledore's start of term speech.

But the enormity of the castle was enough to distract her. She gaped at the walls of the ancient school as they made their way towards the Gryffindor tower. Alice was smiling at her reaction. Even Ro looked a bit mesmerized and not the blank person she had become.

They stopped in front of the portrait of the Fat Lady which was apparently the entrance to their common room and opened only when you gave the password. The common room was mostly gold and scarlet, them being Gryffindor colours. It had a cozy, comfy look to it.

Lily joined them in common room free from her prefect duties of guiding the first years and they made their way towards their dormitory. It consisted four beds; two opposite the other two. Their trunks were sitting innocently at the foot of their beds. Dora's bed was next to Alice's bed and in front of Ro's whose was next to Lily's.

Ro went to the bathroom taking her things as the others unpacked. She came out dressed in her simple black pyjamas and bidding them good night, went straight to bed. Lily and Alice soon followed her example.

Isadora, however, laid awake looking out of the window on her side of the bed staring at the sky. It looked awake. So did the stars and the moon. She pondered over her life and over the fact that she could only truly be what she really was in the dead of the night.

She had never asked to be born a seer. But then, you make the best out of whatever you have.

When she was completely sure that the others were asleep, she crept out of her bed only to take a black muggle notebook out of her bag.

It was not just any notebook. Ro had gifted it to her on her 15th birthday. The dairy was charmed to be read only by Dora. If any one else would open it they would see drawings and general notes and in case they would realise that the diary was hiding something and try to break that charm, the diary would burn itself. This spell was an invention of Ro's.

Whenever Dora saw anybody's past or future, it felt like she was invading their privacy. She could not tell the person what she saw for she could not reveal what she really was. Neither could she tell it to somebody else since it would result in more invasion of their privacy nor did she felt comfortable writing it down from where anybody could read it.

Keeping it all inside her was killing her. She had became frustrated and depressed. That was when Ro had gifted her the notebook she had brought from a muggle store. Dora had no idea how long Ro had worked to come up with that spell.

That whole night she had spent writing every vision she had ever had into that diary. It had felt so good afterwards. It was like relieving yourself of a burden you didn't even know existed.

As she sat on the window seat in her dormitory and bathed in the moonlight, she wrote the past she had seen of Remus Lupin. He was a werewolf. Not that she had anything against it. She had almost fainted because of the memories she had seen; the night he was bitten, his painful transformations and the change in behaviour of his relations.

She would never tell anyone. They were both on the same page. She knew how it felt to be flawed and to have secret so big that it covered your whole life. He was afraid of rejection. So was she. However she couldn't tell anyone also because of a particular dark wizard who would give anything to get his hands on her; the only living descendent of Cassandra Trelawney, one of the most legendary seers the wizarding world had ever seen. She was supposed to have been cursed so that her gifts will pass onto the females in her descendants. Well, it seemed like Dora was on the receiving end of that curse.

Her mother was also a seer and was tortured and killed by His followers when she had refused to go with them. Her dad had died protecting her, sacrificing his life to give her time to run away. And so, she had ran as fast as her legs could carry her. She might have escaped but He now knew that she was out there. He might even be looking for her. But luckily for her Dumbledore found her before He did.

She still remembered her Dad's last words to her, "Dora dear, what ever happens, whatever happens, don't look back. Just run. Go now! Run!"

They rang loud and clear in her head. She had done what he had told her to do and what she was good at doing. She had run.
