To Raven the three months since his rebirth had flown by, the days passing by as quickly as he could blink and before he even knew what was happening February had rolled around and then a few days ago his Grandfather sent him a text to remind him about the entrance exam happening in the 26th
The entrance exam that was happening today
In about an hour or so
Raven sighed, shaking the sudden nerves away as he turned off the shower, slowly drying himself off and getting himself ready by packing his gym clothes - basically a pair of black tracksuit bottoms and a black t-shirt - and getting himself ready, donning his old school uniform - which was just a pair of formal pants, a plain white long sleeve shirt and a black blazer - before exiting the house
He'd already eaten his breakfast before Hopping in the shower, deciding to play it safe he'd just scoffed down a bowl of cereal, it's time effective and probably wouldn't make him have any regrets later
He was tempted to have beans on toast but decided it wasn't worth it
'Luckily, I know how to cook or I would've just been living off of toast and pizza… then again I do order out more than I should but… eh'
He chuckled as he walked through the streets, his gym bag laying calmly over his shoulder as he and some of his fellow applicants made their way through the home city of UA
This entire exam was just a practical exam and would only take around an hour to complete since the written exam had been issued out months back, this was mainly because so many people apply for the Hero course - and the other courses at UA - that sorting through them all would take weeks to do and by eliminating students not able to pass the written exam means they don't have to do as much work for the physical exam
Say what you want about some of the students from Canon but UA does value intelligence as much as they do physical prowess
Though it does make him question how certain characters were accepted, then again they may be just barely scraped through the written and passed the physical with High enough numbers or vice versa
It would explain how Kaminari and Mina got in anyways
Shaking his head he let out a sigh, a small fog of breath exiting his mouth from the cold weather that had stuck through February, the journey to UA was mostly one done in silence, only speaking A few times on his rather short journey and each time his words were mostly just a mumble to himself about certain things
In the end, he reached the large blue gates that separated the rest of the city from the prestigious high school, looking up at the ridiculously huge building he couldn't help but be awed at it, sure in the anime it was an impressive sight but seeing it in real life filled him with a sense of appreciation and awe
The building is huge, covered in glass that's so polished that he can see the sky reflecting off of it which is an impressive feat since most of the building is covered in windows, honestly they must be paying the window cleaners a lot of money for them to not only do such a good job but to want to keep the job
As he made his way through the building, following the instructions that were being given by some older students who had most likely volunteered to do it for extra credit or whatever he thought back to last night
You see Raven had a sort of… realisation last night, honestly, it happened just before he went to bed when he suddenly realised something about the entrance exam and what he was going to do about it
His power more than likely won't work on the robots but there's still a chance they might, because the robots don't have a brain there should be nothing to fool however the robots still use sight and more than likely hearing to detect the candidates, just because they don't have a brain doesn't mean he can't fool them with his illusions since it tricks the sense of sight. Is it a stretch of logic? Yes but it doesn't matter, if it works, it works and if it doesn't? Well then he has a backup plan
During the Sports Festival Arc at the beginning of the Obstacle Course, he remembers reading something interesting. In that scene, Izuku destroys a robot using only his base level strength, not One For All
This means the robots, while made of metal, are still pretty weak and flimsy, meaning that the majority of them are probably made of scrap metal which can be damaged and destroyed quite easily
He could also back this up by one other person's appearance. Mashirao Ojiro. The guy with the tail. His tail is only as strong as he is, it's basically just another muscle, no enhanced strength or durability and yet he could also just smash the robots apart with ease
Which means the robots are flimsy
Oh sure they're still made of metal and it'll hurt like a bitch to destroy but it makes so much sense that the metal isn't thick sheets of iron or whatever since that'd cost hundreds of millions of yen to make every year
If he had to guess, the only robot made of actual metal would be the Zero Pointer and that's only because they could use it for basically anything, hell the only people shown to destroy them in Canon was Izuku, Bakugo, Todoroki and Momo. Izuku because he's effectively as strong as All Might, Bakugo because he can create explosions that would tear the metal apart and literally explode it, Todoroki who froze them whole and Momo who blew one up with a Canon
Could other cast members do the same? Absolutely. Mina could probably melt it with acid, Kaminari could fry its electrical circuit, blah blah blah
But it shows that only the Zero Pointer is made of true steel while the rest are probably scrap
So if his Illusions do work he can either go the stealth route and turn the robots off via the power button or he could try his luck with breaking them down
Either way, he's probably not going to be in the top 10, hell he'll be surprised if he's in the top 20 but he now has a way to actually pass the exam.
He just has to try-
"WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO MY LIVE SHOW" He snapped out of his thoughts, suddenly realising that not only had he eventually found his way to his seat - he couldn't see anyone he recognised near him sadly - but that the orientation had already started "CAN I GET A HEEEEEEEEEEY!"
A devious thought crossed his mind and with barely a twitch of his lips he heard a faint 'HEEEEEEY' screech out from somewhere in the hall, some people blinked, looking around at the sound while others just stared at their friends in confusion, wondering what they were talking about
He stifled a chuckle at Present Mics massive grin, he probably never got a response back on the last few years he'd been a teacher so he'd just made his day even if it wasn't him who shouted out
"YEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHH! I GOT SHIVERS DOWN MY SPINE LISTENERS! ALRIGHT, LISTEN UP EXAMINEES I'M GONNA GIVE YOU THE LOW-DOWN ON HWK THIS'LL GO, YOU READY?" Smirking once again he had another voice scream out a 'YEEEEEAAAAAAHHH' though u like the first voice which was distinctly masculine this one was much more feminine
From there the Pro Hero went on to tell them all about how the exam would function, how they'd be separated into different areas and would have to collect points by destroying monsters, meanwhile Raven occupied himself by reading through the sheet given to them, which basically held the same information Present Mic would go on to explain but it did give other variables on how to destroy them, such as the small button on the robots and where they're located on said robots
There was also no mention whatsoever about the Hero Points, which ensured every act of heroics was genuine
Well, except for his but he'd already decided he'd only help people if he could and if they were close enough by for him to help, he isn't going to risk everything on Hero Points after all
"Excuse me, can I ask a question?" Raven turned his attention away from the paper, looking up to the sudden interruption like many others near him, though with how far away as he was he couldn't quite make out exactly what Tenya Iida looked like in real life, though Raven images he'll look mostly like Iida Tensei does, just more strict
"On the hand out there are clearly 4 types of villains listed. Such an Error would be the height of embarrassment for a Top Tier National Academy of UA's standard! The reason we are seated here today is because we seek guidance on the path to become model heroes!" Raven couldn't help but roll his eyes at Iida's interruption, he knew it was coming but God it was so stupid to do
Surely someone from a hero family would understand that you don't get every bit of info about the person your about to be fighting
'Maybe I should call him out after he berates Midoriya, no because we cannot see him from over here so it would be suspicious, ugh fine I'll leave it, it's not my problem anyways'
"-If you think UA is some pleasure trip then you should leave immediately." Raven rolled his eyes again when Present Mic finally took control back, like before he didn't pay too much attention to the words the Hero spoke, instead deciding to look around and try to spot some of the main cast
The next ten minutes of his time was spent looking around and despite everything, he had only managed to catch sight of who he assumed to be Denki Kaminari if the hair was anything to go by, everyone else must've been either behind him or too far for his eyes to see
Eventually, the introduction was done and with a final glance at his sheet to find his testing area - Training Ground C -he followed the crowd of students to the changing rooms, changing from his plain school uniform into his plain gym clothes
It took around 15 minutes to get to the testing ground and as he waited for the rest of the candidates to gather around there's he shook himself of the nerves that had started creeping in
This is the do or die, the moment of truth on if his power will affect the robots and if he'll be forced to rely on his backup plan after all and the moments the gates opened, the moment they started moving, even without Present Mic speaking he lept, rushing off into the testing ground even as the Booming voice of Present Mic telling them to go dragged behind him
Before he knew it a 1 Pointer was before him and with a small tug in his gut, a second copy ran forward just slightly to the left of his now invisible form, unfortunately, it seems his opponent does need a brain to be fooled, since the bot continued to follow him with its head, sighing he undid his illusion, imminently falling back on his back up plan
Dodging and rolling around the robots attacks - really it's just stabbing forward with its 'arms' to attack - he got close enough to the robots to strike it with the palm of his hand and with a grin he admired the dent he put in the robot, even as his hand started throbbing In pain
As the robot started smoking to show it had been defeated he moved on, weaving last the robot and continuing onwards, attacking any robots who got close enough to him with a series of kicks, knees and punches even if it did take much more force to destroy the 2 Pointers and Three Pointer than it did the one pointers
Even now after battling several robots His palms were glowing red, scraps and cuts littering his body from where he'd bashed them across the robot's body
Could he have tried the stealth route? Yes, in fact, he had initially wanted to do that but…
Well if nothing else this is a great way to train for what he'll be doing in the future

In a room far from the different Testing sites, a large group of Pro Heroes-Turned-Teachers sat, staring at a large screen separated into smaller screens that displayed different camera angles of all the different testing areas, amongst this group a small, animal-like creature sat at the very front, watching all of the screens with a joyful grin
"This year's Candidates are all looking promising" The Voice that spoke belongs to one Nemuri Kayama, also known to the public as the 18+ Hero: Midnight, who said her words with a grin, eyes locked onto the display of a certain fiery blonde who ran through his group with explosions flying from his palms
"Indeed, there's a wide spectrum of students this year and an even wider range of quirks present, you can't help but be sorry for some of them though." This voice belongs to one Higari Maijima, or more known as the Excavation Hero: Power Loader, his own eyes following a tired-looking purple haired student who was alternating between running through the testing arena and pausing to look at the other fights happening around him
"That's life Maijima, there will always be situations where your Quirk just isn't suited to help, he'll have to transfer courses after the Sports Festival." The tired voice that spoke out belonged to one Shota Aizawa, an Underground Hero who goes by the hero name Eraser Head
"Still there's some candidates who are still trying despite that, this one's just attacking them without his Quirk." This voice belonged to some no-name teacher nobody particularly cares about in the grand scheme of things, however, the camera she pointed at was an interesting one to the heroes Present
There on the screen stood a distinctly European student attacking the various robots I'm the area with his hands and feet, while not unheard of some of the teachers did wince at the clear sight of blood trickling down the grinning student's body
"Candidate 1666, Raven King, a candidate who travelled here from the United Kingdom, his Quirk is simply listed as Illusion Creation like the rest of his family." The squeaky voice of the tiny animal-like creature spoke, his own eyes following behind the boy as he grabbed another candidates shoulder, dragging him backwards as a rubber ball was shit where the other candidate was standing
"Currently he has 29- no, 31 Hero Points, not enough to pass but for a non-combative Quirk user it's impressive, the Hero Points will be carrying him upwards." This voice came from another teacher, the one known only to the public as the Pro Hero: Snipe
As the teachers continued to point out different candidates they eventually came to a stop when Nezu stood on his chair, looking at the Present Mic he spoke
"It seems we've gotten distracted, Yamada I think it's time to announce how long the candidates have left." The Blonde Pro Hero known to his friends as Hizashi Yamada smiled, sending a thumbs up as he called out the time

"SIX MINUTES AND TWO SECONDS LEFT." Raven didn't pause as Present Mics voice rattled the arenas, even as he realised that the Zero Pointer Would be released at any moment, no Raven just continued doing what he had been doing the past 4 minutes
Destroying robots with his bare hands
Taking in a deep breathe he continued onwards, fighting off any robots who came near him and counting down the seconds until-
The ground rumbled, for a moment every candidate froze in case an earthquake had just started when, from in the distance, Raven caught sight of a colossal robot pole its head up from over the buildings, the dust settled and everyone was silent and then…
Then the stampede started, from his position Raven could hear others claiming it wasn't worth it and to try yet away, some of them just not caring and wanting to continue fighting away from the giant robot but Raven? Well, Raven ran straight to where the giant robot was, did he believe he could beat the fucker? Absolutely not, but he needed the rescue points to secure his place, especially since he'd maxed out on 36 villain points before the Zero Pointers entrance
His villain points and the small amounts of Hero Points he'd be getting would secure his position, hell he might have even made it into the top 10 but he needed to be sure and the Zero Pointer was definitely going to have some people trapped
That's not to say he didn't actually want to help, because he would've still helped them even if the Hero Points weren't a thing, but he's not going to lie and say the extra points aren't appreciated or what spurned his hasty response
So yes, he ran through the falling debris, dodging other candidates who ran away and when he eventually reached where the Zero Pointer stood his eyes imminently locked onto the two forms that were holding the monster robot back
'Is that Kendo?- later, get to helping'
Rushing forward his eyes widened as the orange-haired girl continued to bat away at the Zero Pointer, his eyes sliding off of her and towards the girl at her side, wincing at the clearly broken leg
As he got close enough for the two girls to hear him he started talking, moving towards the downed girl next to the future 1-B class rep
"Is there anyone else nearby that's been injured?"
"Just- Just this one, is everyone else gone?" He nodded, kneeling down beside the girl as he moved to loft her up
"Am I alright to use my Quirk on you?" The Girl whimpered but nodded her head and with a tug, in his gut, he removed her sense of touch from her leg, he didn't actually know how well it would work considering that pain is internal but as her whimpering stopped and her breathing even out he figured he'd done something right
"Everyone else evacuated, and we only have a minute or so left before the exam ends, will you be okay if I get her out of here?" Kendo didn't respond past nodding her head, using her enlarged fist to push against the tracks of the robot
The next few moments passed by quickly, with Raven carrying some random girl away, Kendo finally dropping her fight with the Zero Pointer and then just as they reached the main crowd the bell rang and Present Mics voice rang throughout the Testing Area
"THE TEST IS OVER!" As if the loud heroes voice were some sort of command all the robots suddenly deactivated, stopping in their tracks and powering down
With everyone over they acted around for Recovery Girl to come around, the old hero using her Quirk on everyone injured, himself included and he watched in pure awe as the cuts and bruises just started to slowly fade away, his muscles and skin knitting themselves back together within seconds even if he did feel a little bit fatigued afterwards
Sadly the girl he saved would have to be taken to the infirmary to sleep for a bit since she didn't have enough stamina left to survive recovery girls special brand of healing
After the girl was taken away and a few words with Kendo which was them mainly thanking the other for their help at the end he departed from the school, eventually finding his way home he passed out on the couch, the day catching up to him
"I AM HERE, AS A PROJECTION!" The loud voice of All Might screamed at him through the prerecorded projection
His week after the exam passed by quickly, nothing had really changed for him except getting a text from his Grandfather who had sent him a Good Luck text two hours after the exam ended
Of course, his week came to an end just about five minutes ago, when this plain envelope with the Golden UA stamp branded in the front of it was shoved through his letterbox, knowing what was going to happen he tuned out All Mights explanation about teaching at UA, instead just waiting for his review
"Now Young King-" He snorted at the name, being addressed by his surname is still weird to him, especially since people are calling him 'King-San' or 'Young King' like he's literal royalty "You have done splendidly on your Written Exam, one of the highest scorers in this year's exam, however, you only scored 37 Points in the Practical Exam, normally this wouldn't be enough points to Pass, however…"
All Might paused, turning to face a different camera as he dragged the silence out
"UA Isn't all about getting the Villain or who's the strongest." All Mights voice became heavier as he stared at him and if he didn't already know this was prerecorded he'd think the Hero was staring right through him "UA is about who has the qualities to be a Pro Hero and nurturing these individuals and qualities. It is, for this reason, we don't just assess Villain Points but Rescue Points As well!"
Imagine Raven's surprise when the screen that showed up after All Might clicked his remote wasn't just his individual score but the scores of the top ten, Ravens eyes widening as he found his name just barely at the bottom of the Leader Board

His phone buzzed but he ignored it, Favourite to look wide-eyed at the scores in front of him
"A panel of Judges decide how much each action taken is worthy" He blinked as All Might once again appear on the screen "For many minor acts of Heroics throughout the event you were granted 10 Points and for rescuing your fellow Candidate you were granted a further 10 Points."
He felt a smile crossing his face as he stared at the board, he'd gotten better than he had thought he had, he'll he didn't even know how he'd scored so high but God he was glad he did
"You who have shown unwavering bravery and courage in the face of adversary, you who have exhibited the willingness to protect others on the face of Danger have gained a total of 57 Points, thus placing 10th in the Hero Exam," The Number One Hero said, a broad grin on his face as he thrust a hand towards the camera
"Congratulations Young King, UA will be your Hero Academia."
Just as the heroes words finished the camera shut off, leaving Raven alone in his home a genuinely excited and relieved sigh escaping him as he leaned back in his chair
"10th place huh… not bad for somebody who basically did the exam quirkless" a stray thought crossed his mind at his words "I wonder how Midoriya will react when he finds out I was in the top 10 despite being in a worse situation than his own."
He grins at the thought, only imagining the Green Haired students shock
After a few minutes of just basking in the glory of being accepted into what was probably thousands of peoples dream school - both in this universe and his last - he finally grabbed his phone, eyes once again widening as he saw the reason his phone buzzed earlier
QuestReward: For being accepted into UA you have been awarded 250 Credits
A chuckle escaped his throat at the message, understanding instantly that this was probably some quest that Ayla had been instructed to give him by the ever-mysterious Creator, though as he stared at the message he is now questioning if this is something that will happen in every world he goes to or if this is just a one-off
Shaking the thing away he decided to just appreciate the moment, sending the Old Man who this version of him called Grandfather a message informing him if his acceptance into UA
Pulling out the rest of the papers inside the letter he imminently started on them, going about the rest of his day drawing down his design for a hero costume as well as designing a sword on the side of the paper, a regular Katana that he designed to look like Kyoka Suigetsu's own weapon
By the end of the day, he'd sent his forms back to UA, already knowing that he'll be receiving another one in the next few days either asking to meet with him or for confirmation that he can and will take responsibility for using the Katana
All In all, it had been a good week for Raven
Chapter 3 is completed
This took a surprisingly short amount of time but I ended up just wanting to get it done as soon as possible so uhh, here you go. I hope I didn't overpower Raven too much without explaining why but in the end he did take damage from fighting the robots, after all despite being made of just sheet metal and scrap parts they are still machinery
I also didn't plan for the whole top 10 thing but it just happened by accident aha

I'm still debating a hero name but that should be sorted soon, I'm just putting all the ones I like in a spinning wheel and sending it off
Speaking of the Spinning wheel someone - Viperx679 - suggested using something like it for a Gacha and to just fill it with random shit and stuff so he doesn't get OP through Gacha
I'm thinking of doing it so… yeah

Note to FLABBAJACK (or anyone interested in what may happen during the Seven Deadly Sins Part of this story): - Maybe, honestly, If I do go the demon route I'd have to give Meliodas a reason to not kill him, which would make it kinda annoying to do, especially considering that the Demons are all sealed away
If I were to do it I'd honestly say fuck it and make Raven the son of Meliodas and the Elizabeth of Danafor or something, that way he gets the blood of the Demon King as well as part of the Blood of a Goddess, considering everything that happened during that time I could easily see Meliodas asking Zaratras or someone to raise Raven instead of himself which would also make him the 'Brother' of Gilthunder, it would also unlock the Holy Knight route and since he's Melissa's and Elizabeth's son I could see the King making him Elizabeth's Knight which would then allow them to gather the sins blah blah blah
Honestly, I like that idea but its food for later, he still needs to do a lot of shit in My Hero before even thinking of The Seven Deadly Sins so… yeah...
