Weeks, months have passed between Derek and Meredith were good they're happy dating. A lot was jealous of Meredith because she's dating everyone's dream man, Derek is perfect. His sweet, kind and he loves her. Derek felt the same as well, Meredith is nice, kind, and full of compassion for her work.
Even though they were happy, Derek can't help himself felt a little bit of guilt in him. And still thinking of Addison, what could happen if she was still here with him. Do they have a family of their own because he knew that Addison dreamed of being a mother? Would they be happy or are they getting a divorce, a lot is going on in Derek's mind. He was drowned in his thoughts he didn't realize that Meredith was sitting across from him
"Derek"
"Yeah, you were saying?"
"I said are we going at Joe's tonight? Because there's a dart match I want to watch" as she eats her salad
"Yeah sure"
"Are you okay"
"Yes, I'm just tired" then his pager went off "I have to go. Bye" stand up and kissed her on top of her head
Later that night the interns and attendings are at Joe's playing darts. But Derek just sits at the corner and focused his attention on his drink. When somebody sits beside him
"Thinking about her"
"Always" a sigh comes from Derek "I love Meredith I do, but why can't I get her out of my head" Mark just listens to his friend "I don't want to hurt Meredith. I'm trying to move on, but why do I feel like she's still alive"
"Do you still looked at those pictures?" Mark asked but knowing Derek he knew the answer already
"I looked at it less than usual" as he finished the rest of his drink and Mark gesture, Joe, to give them another round
"You should try not to look at it completely, because it will get a lot harder to move on if you still looking at your past instead of looking forward" Mark trailed off as he take a sip from his drink
"I loved Red, she was my best friend" got a look from Derek asking, "I thought I'm you're best friend" look
"Oh come on you know what I'm talking about. You're my second best friend. I missed her too" Mark laughed when he remembered the time when they got in trouble "remember when we punished and did community service for a month"
Derek laughed also "yeah how can I forget it scared the hell out of me when Addison was sitting under that tree"
"Mark, Derek what the hell are you doing here? You both are not allowed in her" Addison was shocked when she came out of the cubicle and saw her boyfriend and best friend in the ladies room
"We're worried about you, you rushed from the class," Derek said
"Are you ok? What are you feeling?" Mark who seemed panicking
"Guys I'm fine, I just felt like puking that all but nothing serious" as she washes her face with water
"Are you pregnant?" Mark asked with a shock so does Derek
"Are you?"
"God no!" As she wipes her face with tissue "I just ate something last night"
"How did you know that? Nausea is one symptom to indicate you're pregnant" Derek asked crossed his arms together on his chest
"Well if you must know Mr. Shepherd, I have my time of the month so I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant" as she walked to the door "come on move before somebody sees us in here and we all get in trouble"
As they're about to go out of the comfort room their professor is outside the door and looking at them in shocked
"Shepherd, Sloan, Montgomery what the hell are the three of you doing in there?" eying each of them. Neither Derek nor Addison wanted to answer
"We're having a threesome wanna join?" a smirk formed on Mark's face when he saw Derek, Addison, and their professor's reaction
"Wha-" still in shocked "MR. SHEPHERD, MS. MONTGOMERY, MR. SLOAN GO TO THE GUIDANCE COUNSELOR'S OFFICE" shouting command from their professor
The three of them went to their counselor's office when they almost near the door Addison was furious
"What the hell Mark?!" Slap him at his chest
"Come on it's fun. Have you seen her face when I told her hahaha" said while laughing Derek was laughing too but just received a glare from Addison that made him stop laughing and start getting the attention of Mark to be quiet, as Mark looked at Derek who looked terrified and turns his gaze at the redhead giving him a death glare he starts coughing to stop himself from laughing
"Both of you" still giving them a death glare "you'll pay for this" and knock at the door
"We doomed by her" Mark just nodded
After talking to their counselor and ask for forgiveness for punishment the three of them are doing community service for 1 month.
Growing up in a rich family means you don't have to do chores at the house because there's someone who is doing it for you. Doing this community service is a nightmare for Addison and she'll make sure that these two boys with her are being punished after there done this task.
1 month had passed and their community service is done. Sitting alone inside the campus garden under the tree that's where her usual spot when she needed to think, looking from afar she saw the two boys that she wanted to suffer approaching her. As they come closer she smiled at them
"See I told you she wasn't angry," Mark said. Derek looked at her girlfriend and shook his head he knows that smile that's a WASP smile. Mark gazes at his friend who looked terrified and he knows him and got the picture, now he remembered that smile.
"Good to see you DEREK MARK" the tone of her voice was like a blade that ready to torture them. Chills are running to their spines
"You do know that there are consequences to the both of you when you got me in trouble" she looked at them and signal them to sit. Immediately they did as they told, they both terrified at Addison especially when she turned into Bizzy mode
By looking at them Addison felt like laughing because you can see how scared they are, the longer she stared the more scared Derek and Mark was when she can't take it any longer she let out a loud laugh
"Hahaha look at you too hahaha are you going to pee your pants" still laughing
Derek and Mark let out a breath because the whole time they are holding their breaths.
"Don't worry I won't take revenge this time, because I enjoyed it. I still hated it but not as much, I've experienced doing community service. Thanks"
"Damn Red you scared the hell out of us" with a disbelief tone
"It's always fun scaring you two" Mark and Derek looked embarrassed because only she can do that to them. "But don't do it again because I won't be so forgiving next time"
The three of them laughed and made fun of each other, they were inseparable.
Remembering those times when she still with them, they made a lot of fun memories together that cannot be erased. The two talked about how Mark's sex life and how Derek and Meredith are, Derek still haven't talked to Meredith about Addison not much anyway just when Meredith asked about Derek's past relationship. Meredith can tell that Derek isn't ready to talk about Addison so she just let it slide and never brought it back again.
1 year later
Meredith run labs, she felt something were off but she just shrugged it, and then she got a paged from the nurse's station.
"Somebody page me?" Meredith asked then a nurse gave her an envelope. Full of confusion Meredith took the small envelope and read what's inside
"You are the best thing that ever happened to me -D"
"P.s I know you're wondering about this but trust me. Now look for Burke"
Meredith looked at the nurse and nodded then she walked and trying to find where Burke is. After searching and searching she found him and he gave her a red rose with a letter she opened it
"I know I'm not perfect but I'm perfect for you -D"
She smiled and looked at her attending he didn't give her an answer but he pointed outside the room and found Bailey standing with her chart. Meredith come closer to Bailey
"A healthy 40-year-old man who seized during intercourse with his girlfriend, he can't look up with no sign of fever" Meredith looked at her "oh, and just went on a trip from Africa. What is your diagnosis?" Using the nazi tone
"Neurocystercerosis" Bailey looked at her and gave her the envelope
"Good job"
"Was that necessary?"
"No" she smiled and open the envelope
"Before you came into my life, I felt empty, alone, unhappy. But then unintentionally I saw you at the bar I didn't dare to talk to you so I just watch you in the corner. It sounds creepy I know" she laughs
"When Mark asked you to go out on a date with me, inside me there was saying "finally I got to go out with her" but seeing you shocked lost my hope. But then Mark always told me I need to be happy so that night I waited for hours at the lobby to asked you out, and you brought the light in me. I love you Meredith" tears starts to form in her eyes while reading the letter
"His at the rooftop" she heard Bailey said
"Thank you" then she ran off
On the rooftop, she saw Derek standing in the middle with rose petals everywhere. He turned around and looked and smiled at her. Slowly she walked towards him
"What's all of this?" as she looked around
"Meredith I love you and I can't live without you. I need you in my life" he kneeled on one knee pulled out a red velvet box. Meredith was shocked "Meredith Claret Grey will you marry me?" he opened the box
Still in shock "yes Derek Cristopher Shepherd!" he pulled the ring and wear it to her and pulled her for a kissed
"You made me the happiest man alive" they hugged
