(Superbeast by Rob Zombie blasts loudly out of a radio)
''OKAY, OKAY, I'M UP!'' a voice of a teenager said. This is Gregory or Greg as he's preferred. He seems like the average teen with fascinations over anime, manga, video games, etc. But with the world he lived in almost everyone of his other classmates all had quirks. Well… except him. All Greg had was some simple wolf ears and a bushy tail. His father: Geno was a prohero in training, well he was before he passed away. Greg lived with his mother: Emerald, in a condominium in New Jersey. Some people complained that the place was a shithole. But Greg didn't seem to mind. He knew that his room wasn't in the cleanest of conditions but he didn't care. The only things he really did care for was his mother, hoping to get an invitation to UA, making friends, and his shrine of Miruko merch. Gregory has an obsession with prohero Miruko. From the posters, to the shirts, to the drawings, to the plushies. You name it Greg more than likely has it. Greg then got up from his bed and muted his small radio.
He looked around and found his green, white, and black striped jacket. He then found his favorite shirt which had an image of Miruko blowing a kiss. When he was all dressed with his shoes, pants, lunchbox, and book-bag. He looked over at his favorite Miruko poster. Which was Miruko giving a thumbs up and smiling with text above and below her saying ''Don't give up! I believe in you!''. Greg put his hand on the poster. "I won't. I'll be back later, see ya.'' Greg said as he gave the poster a kiss. After he had breakfast he proceeded to walk to school. As he walked to school he was listening to music from his phone. Sounds of rapping and rocking vocals rang from his earbuds through his ears. Once the music went through hip hop and rap it went into more hard rock and metal. Greg didn't mind; he liked hearing new stuff. He then heard a song that spoke to him in a different sort of way.
(Lunchbox by Marilyn Manson)
The lyrics really stuck out to him and the song reminded him of himself. Greg was bullied alot for not having a quirk and being inadequate to the rest of the class. Sure he wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he tried his absolute best, then just as the song ended, the trouble started. ''HEY, MUT!'' a voice shouted. Greg pulled out his earbuds to hear a familiar shouting voice. Greg quickly turned around to see his best frenemy: Chris. Chris was one of the best jocks in Greg's whole school. His quirk was similar to the video game character: Tremor from Mortal Kombat. He also had short, spiky, greasy, dirty blonde hair. ''H-Hey, Chris…'' Greg said, sounding slightly nervous. Chris was very much taller and more jacked than Greg was. So Greg was always nervous around him. Especially when he would yell at him. ''What are you doing around MY sidewalk!?'' Chris shouted as he looked down at Greg. ''What are you talking about, Chris? If anything this is the school's sidewalk!'' Greg said, calmly. ''DON'T YOU DARE TALK BACK TO ME YOU DAMN MUT!'' Chris shouted as he pushed Greg to the ground. "Hey! Stop that! Leave that kid alone!'' A voice shouted. Greg looked up to see Chris chuckle and leave. He then saw his savior. ''You okay, young man?'' The man said. ''Yeah, I'm fine. He does that alot.'' Greg said as he slowly stood up. ''Hey, If that guy decides to pick on you again. You can count on me to help you.'' The man said. ''You seem interesting. What's your name?'' Greg said. ''Namaiki.'' he said.
''Wait. Isn't that Japanese for 'sassy'?" Greg said, vaguely remembering his language class. ''Of course, Honey~'' Namaiki said in a very sudden flamboyant and sassy voice. Greg tried his best not to die of laughter. Thankfully he was able to hold back his laughter. ''Man, I like you already. Let's be friends!'' Namaiki said. ''Alright.'' Greg said, happily. Greg didn't have many friends. So he was happy that he actually found someone willing to be his friend. Anyways, Greg went on to have the usual day at school, with no one seeming to care about him or what he had to say. When lunch came all Greg did was focus on the Miroku drawing he was finishing. ''I love you...'' Greg whispered to the drawing. Anyways, school ended earlier than it seemed, but Greg didn't pay attention. Greg proceeded to walk home as usual. ''Hey! Honey!'' a voice shouted. Greg turned around to see Namaiki. ''Hey!'' Greg said, stopping in his place. ''You lookin down in the dumps, honey. Maybe I could help ya!'' Namaiki said, positively. Greg wasn't sure about being offered to join a stranger. He knew about previous encounters with strangers from different people didn't usually end well. But unlike those this man seemed like a legit nice person only wanting to make a friend. So Greg accepted and said ''Okay.'' Namaiki had a surprised look on his face. No one has ever really wanted to befriend him. But he could tell this kid was lonely and looking for a buddy.
Greg texted on his phone to his mother that he'd be back and that he was gonna hangout with one of his new friends for a bit. Namaiki and Greg walked along the sidewalk until it finally reached an old warehouse. ''What's this place…?'' Greg said with concern in his voice. ''This would be my home, Honey.'' Namaiki said as he unlocked the door and they both entered. The warehouse hadn't been used in many years. The sliding door had almost been completely rusted and some vines had grown along some of the walls leaving the place very rustic and overgrown, but Namaiki didn't care. He was just happy he had a place to live. He didn't need tv or a phone. He just enjoyed the peace and quiet, and when the night came he would fall asleep to the sounds of the city. Greg couldn't stop looking around the place. It was almost like one of those buildings that look small but are actually very big on the inside. Greg also looked at some of the graffiti on the walls. ''You enjoy the silence do you?'' Greg said, curiosity in his voice. ''I like my privacy. Plus I don't live in complete silence, I've still got this!'' Namaiki said as he pulled out an old radio from behind his couch. Namaki turned it on and immediately started playing one of his favorite tunes.
(Soft and Wet by Prince)
Greg immediately liked the groovy mood of the song as he watched Namaiki do a little dance. While the song played Greg continued looking around the place. There was a mattress, a real beaten up one at that. With an equally as beaten up pillow and a blanket with small holes in it. He also saw the couch. Which looked a lot less beat up than the mattress. So Greg sat on the sofa and noticed across the room a punching bag in the corner. It also had a few rips and tears in and on it. But still it was something he could use. But as he was walking towards the punching bag he noticed something. In the opposite corner he saw what looked like a curtain hiding something bright and shiny. But just as he was about to pull the curtain he heard Namaiki call his name. ''So you wanna train on how to get a delicious bod like mine?'' Namaiki said lifting up his shirt slightly showing his very slim, almost skeletal body with very small musculature in very few parts of his body. ''Well yes, but I'd want to be like the prohero: Deku!'' Greg said. ''Well, honey! Me and you're gonna do some serious training, boy!'' Namaiki said, excitedly. Greg never put himself at a high standard. He always considered himself on a pretty low standard when talking about being a hero. But if training meant he was gonna get closer to being a hero like Deku then he was willing to do anything.
So the training soon started. Everyday after school was over Namaiki would invite Greg over to train and hangout. Their friendship quickly grew fast. Almost everything Namaiki said would make Greg smile or laugh. Almost a year had passed and Greg's body was in almost perfect shape, with proper musculature and build through his training. Namaiki was also in a lot better shape, his body was almost twice as big as he was last time. He almost looked like a younger All Might. Greg admired Namaiki for all the hard work and training they did together. But one day Greg received a letter in the mail. It was an invitation to the UA High School! Greg's school saw how much Greg had changed and they apparently saw his potential and told the UA School Program about him. Greg didn't know what to think or say. He immediately told his mother and she was excessively happy to know that her son has potential to be a hero like his father. After another school day Greg told Namaiki and when Greg told him Namaiki's face changed from a grin to a weird vacant expression. ''What's wrong, Namaiki?'' Greg said, concerned for his friend. ''It's nothing… But I'd like to show you something I've never shown anyone...'' Namaiki said. They quickly headed to Namaiki's place. ''What did you want to show me?'' Greg said. ''This….'' Namaiki said as he pulled back his old curtains, revealing a table with candles surrounding it. ''What is this?'' Greg said. ''This is what's left of my family, Greg...'' Namaiki said, sounding slightly sad.
''This is where I come to pray.'' Namaiki said, solemnly. ''What's with the candles?'' Greg mentioned. ''The candles are my family.'' Namaiki said. He then started to point out the candles. ''That one's my Dad.'' Namaiki said, pointing to the candle on the left. He then pointed to the candle on the left. ''That's my Mama.'' Namaiki said. Then Greg noticed the tears in Namaiki's eyes as he pointed to the candle in the middle. ''That's my brother….'' Namaiki said, letting his tears fall. ''What were their names, Namaiki?'' Greg said, putting his arm around Namaiki's back. ''You know it's funny how I never knew my parents names yet I know my brother's name.'' Namaiki said, wiping away his tears. ''What was his name?'' Greg said. ''Toshinori Yagi…'' Namaiki said. Greg could've sworn he heard that name before, then it hit him. The man standing in front of him, was All Might's brother. ''Wait… WHAT?!'' Greg shouted in shock. ''Now Greg, Let me explain...'' Namaiki said, as Greg started stuttering up a storm. ''How? Why? When? W-'' Greg was cut off by Namaiki giving him a quick slap. ''Greg, you were stuttering again.'' Namaiki said. ''I'm just in shock! I never expected YOU of all people to be related to All Might!'' Greg said. ''Well, take a seat and I can explain my story…'' Namaiki said. So Greg sat down on Namaiki's couch and listened to Namaiki's story.
A long while ago a woman gave birth to two beautiful twin boys. One without a quirk, one with a quirk. But unexpectedly the child with the quirk was taken away from his mother. The child was taken overseas and to America. This child was Namaiki Yagi, he was born in a pretty bad neighborhood. Where street crimes, gangs, and police were almost everywhere. Namaiki's childhood was filled with abuse, fights, and bullying. But Namaiki pushed through. Then Namaiki heard of a Hero called All Might. Namaiki watched and read all about him and that's when Namaiki had the biggest epiphany ever, that him and this All Might hero guy were related. Although they had very different quirks he could draw comparisons to himself and All Might. From the looks, to the smile, and the fact that they were both willing to fix this broken world. Although Namaiki never met All Might he was absolutely devastated when he heard that All Might had passed away. The brother he never knew was now taken away from him, before he could ever meet him and tell him who he really was. Then Namaiki remembered what All Might said after his famous fight with All For One. ''Now… It's your turn…'' those words were the words Namaiki lived by. Namaiki, rather than take up the hero life, instead took on the vigilante life. Plus, Namaiki's quirk would definitely work out for being a vigilante. Namaiki's quirk was almost exactly like Snipe's quirk. Namaiki's eyes can spot a target from 2 miles away. As long as he doesn't get distracted or breaks eye contact with the target he can easily take the target out. Another part of his quirk is his stunningly accurate trigger finger. Namaiki did find that Stain guy interesting and when he finally got locked up, that's when he started to consider the vigilante lifestyle.
''...So yeah, I technically WAS a vigilante. I used to kill villains and corrupted heroes. But when I met you, Young Greg…. You and your views on wanting to become a hero inspired me to leave my vigilante lifestyle behind.'' Namaiki said. ''Wow.'' Greg said without a word in mind. Greg didn't know what to think now that it was revealed that all along he was training and friends with not only All Might's brother but also an ex-vigilante. But Greg didn't have to pay attention to that now. He just cared that Namaiki was okay and that he was still gonna be on Greg's side. ''Namaiki, you know I'll be going out of this county and moving into a new one. I wish I could bring you along with me but I don't have any money to afford you a ticket. I'm sorry…'' Greg said. ''It's okay, Greg… after all the stuff we went through in our training… I'd want you to remember all of that and use it against those scum of the earth villains who hurt all those innocent people outside of Tartarus.'' Namaiki said, reaching out his hand. Greg took Namaiki's hand and shook it. ''I will, good luck out here, Namaiki.'' Greg said. ''Also you don't have to call me Namaiki anymore. From now on you'll only know me as the one and only…. Sas Might!'' Namaiki said, excitedly and with a big grin on his face. Greg somehow held in his laughter. But he was happy that Namaiki had found his true hero name.
The next day Greg said his goodbyes to his mother and wiped away his and her tears. His mother took him to the airport where he saw a line of some of his classmates that also got the invitation. He gave his mother a big old hug and said his last goodbye. "I love you, Mama!'' Greg shouted as he joined his classmates. ''I love you too, Honey. Go! Be a hero like your dad!'' Emerald shouted. Those last couple words really stuck with Greg as he and the rest of his classmates headed into the airport and onto the plane, all the way to Japan.
When they finally arrived in Japan Greg couldn't stop looking at all the lights, buildings, food, and everything around him. It was just so pretty. The class stood the night at a place called: The Summer Solitude. Everyone was asleep but Greg couldn't get to sleep. He was too busy thinking of the people he left behind. His mother and his closest friend: Sas Might. Greg then left his room and headed upstairs to the top of the building. He could see the sun rising in the distance. He looked over the guardrail and saw all the traffic below him. Greg then had a thought, if him risking his life for others is valuable to them, is his own life even valuable at all. Greg started to think back to when he was in America. All that happened was getting picked on, name called, and abused by his bullies. So if Japan offered that too what would the difference be. BUT, just as Greg was lifting his leg to jump off, he heard a familiar voice…. ''GREG!'' the voice shouted. Greg turned around and saw him, the man that helped him the most when he was sad, the man who helped him stand when he was down, the one and only…. ''SAS MIGHT!'' Greg shouted as well. The both ran towards each other and welcomed each other with their friendly hand grip. As their grip became tighter they both looked at each other. ''Still got that same strength?'' Greg said grinning at Sas Might. ''It's too manly!'' Sas Might said, still holding onto Greg's arm. ''EMBRACE THE MANLINESS!'' Greg said as they both tired themselves out and stopped their very manly handshake. Greg and Sas Might both knew that this was only the beginning of their brotherly friendship.
Well, the third chapter's now done. I still just really want to apologize for the long time between chapters. I don't mean for it to take so long but if y'all lived in my shoes you'd understand why. But I still have no intention to ever stop writing, although it may be a good while till the fourth chapter no matter what this story will be finished. I love what I do and sometimes I take my time with things, whenever I rush my writing, I'm pissed off. But when I take it slow and take time with it, I'm the happiest, chillest guy in the world. Anyways, for the people who are still reading my stuff I really thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you all very much for staying with me throughout my hardships. Lastly, a reminder of the shoutouts for: ZawaFamily, DandyKnoxville, and My Hero Multiverse. I love you all very much thank you all for the support. I hope you all enjoy the shoutouts and their content. This is GreenSonic420 signing out and remember to stay beautiful!
