Waking up with a crank in her neck was not what she'd considered fun. Scout blinked her eyes open and rubbed the back of her neck ruefully as she leaned up on the tree. She still felt emotionally drained but this time she wasn't tired so there was that positive at least. She stretched carefully yawning loudly as she did so. Then leaning back once again Scout started to take stock in what precisely what she could do in this situation.
Right now she was more or less trapped with people that hated her. That wasn't good. She still had her wits about her and was aware of the dangers now which was good. No transport off world...that was some thing she needed to work on. Once that was established she could find ways off world and start helping out in anyway she could.
What about Jilka? Scout blinked at the sudden thought. What about Jilka indeed. She was trapped her as much as Scout as was Arla...and on a purely cynical side there was the fact the two of them barring mental illness of Arla Fett were much better at blending in. Jilka was an investigator from she's been able to gather so she'd know how to blend in. Arla could tell her things about the Death Watch which was invaluable considering that as far as she knew they were still a threat even with the schism.
So pretty much keep an eye on the situation and then...
She paused in middle of that thought. What was stopping her from taking off with them now? No one...Oh right Prudii knew and he'd report it to the others and then she'd have shake them off and Jilka, Arla would need to be corralled before leaving. Not to mention she wasn't familiar with the land meaning she didn't even where they could flee to. Cursing her bad luck she sat up and began going carefully over the branches again to get down the ground. As she reached the bottom of the tree, she stiffened and looked about. She heard only forest noises in the background and decided in a split second decision that she'd at least check out the surrounding areas aside from the woods to .
Firmly nodding she went forward into the grasslands. Nothing so far and no patrols here. Good. This would make the real subsequent escape easier. She kept walking forward with a determined step. As she began to reach the beginnings of a road she slowed down her lightsaber...Oh blast my lightsaber! Now she came to a stop. She didn't want to hide it but she didn't want to be spotted with it.
I'll break it down, that way I still have it but it won't be easily spotted.
The dissembling didn't take long and soon her parts were safely stowed into her pouch. Satisfied she began walking down the beaten path making sure to keep an eye out for any speeders.
Best I look like a local. Scout sway her arms nonchalantly meanwhile her senses both in the Force and normal worked overtime to make sure that she was aware of everything. All the walking soon revealed a double edged sword. On the one hand she didn't have to worry about being spotted by the wrong people but also she was out in the middle of nowhere. The whole situation was enough to make her scream for a completely different reason then before. Xxx
Finally after what felt like an eternity of walking she reached what seemed to be a sign post...written in Mandalorian...Naturally...Kark!
Scout let out a long series of curses in various languages she knew of and kicked the ground in anger. Okay now what?! She was at the end of her rope. Did she head back and hope that no one would comment on her long absence...Well that seemed to be what the Force was telling her to do. Scout turned and retraced her steps. It didn't take long to find them and they soon brought her back to the woods. Scout exhaled explosively as she jumped into the trees using the same technique to keep the Shriek Hawk away from her so she wouldn't leave a trail behind her. Once she'd reached the area in which she'd left Prudii in she leapt to the ground and began walking back to Kryimorut. She had much to think about now...And plan.
I can't be careless like that. I need to make sure that my plan is through and includes the people I'm saving. I'll talk to Jilka first and then I'llgo to Arla and see what I can do. I'm getting out of this prison and going to do what I can for this galaxy because being a Jedi is not giving up and doing what you can. So that's what I'm going to do.
Several hours. Prudii wanted to scream. How could the Jetii have eluded his grasp for so long?! It had long since gone from a slight determination to an outright obsession. How had she evade him and why couldn't he find her?! He was an elite trooper taught by the best while she was just a pe'ninr Nasaihyeka! And yet he was still being thwarted by her. This his was unforgivable to him. He would find her and drag back to Kryimorut if he had to. He wasn't done with her yet and he had a feelings that he wouldn't be done for quite a while.
"Um what are you doing?" The D'aneh's voice asked. He whipped around to see her standing in the clearing as if she'd never left the area. The sight of her nonchalantly standing there after he'd spent several fruitless hours looking for her infuriated him even more.
"Where the fierfek were you!?" He snapped making her jump back into a defensive stance.
"Walking," she replied carefully. "Just walking about. That's not illegal the last time that I checked. So what do you want now? More questions? I just want to get back to the compound and rest"
Yes he did have more questions but that would wait until later. "I was looking for you," he bit out.
"Well you found me and I'm going back so don't worry I won't be an issue," the girl said sounding profoundly tired and not interested. A far cry from the passionate and angry rant from before...It seemed wrong somehow. Prudii shook his head. It was probably nothing and it was making a big deal out of something that shouldn't be an issue. And yet...He'd keep an eye on her just in case of it.
As they walked back to Kryimorut the kid kept quiet and instead meekly went back to the compound in a way that struck him as wrong. As they got back to the area were everyone was not one of the other inhabitants noticed her coming and instead ignored her...Which in his mind was a big mistake. He was tempted to tell Ordo or Kal'buir to keep an eye on her but...He needed his answers and she had them. Alienating her would just be counterproductive and would cut off his only avenue for answers.
More importantly that would mean admitting to failure on his part on tracking her down and keeping her in line. No, he'd keep this to himself and would just watch from the shadows. When the time was right, he'd ask more and see if she could dispel the doubts that still gnawed on his mind. She was useful in that regard.
