'Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?'

-L.M. MONTGOMERY-

Dib and Gaz finally made it to their house, Zim was following behind them, he seemed daydreaming, or destructed with whatever he was looking at.

Gaz opened the door and went straight to the couch, she sat and continued playing her game.

Dib looked behind to gaze at Zim who was studying the house,

"Um, i wanna go change my clothes, just wait for a minute, k?" He said as he took off his shoes.

"Sure." Zim kept his sight on everything but Dib,

"You can sit at the couch," He pointed where his sister was sitting, "i'll be right back."

Zim looked over at the couch, he could see the girl's purple hair, he saw the boy walk up the stairs.

He walked to sit besides the girl as she played her game unblinkingly.

"So, you're the idiot who became my damn brother's friend?" Gaz asked, she gave Zim one quick look then continued her game.

Zim shrugged, "yeah," he drew his sharp finger on the carpet.

Gaz seemed to notice, she leaned to give him a confused look, she studied his face, clothes, and hands.

"You look fucking weird." She thought loudly, a disgusted look on her face.

His innocent and dumb expressions were now dark and empty, he narrowed his eyes as he gazed back at her.

Gaz stared harder, she knew something was off with anyone who might want to be friends with her brother,

Zim smiled slowly, a dark and frightening eyes gazed wide as his antennae picked the boy's footsteps.

The girl seemed to take aback at the sudden change of expressions, she leaned back at her game before she gave him a last hard gaze.

"I'm done," they heard Dib say as he walked to them, Gaz didn't respond but kept giving Zim hard gazes every two seconds.

Zim gazed at her blankly then his eyes softened, his smile became sweeter, "just in time, let's go!" He said happily as he sat up.

Both walked to the front door, Zim turned his head slightly just in time to see the purple-haired girl still gazing at him.

He gave her a wide smile before Dib closed the door.

--

The house wasn't far from his.

The walk was silent, Zim seemed over joyed as he jumped and hummed all the way there.

They made it to the house street, just in the corner, was an over-glowing house, it was green.

Dib looked at it with confusion, the house looked like it came from children's cartoon, it was badly build, as some windows were bigger than the other, the door was a men bathroom door, the house was literally green with purple here and there.

"Home sweet home." Zim said as he walked to the front door,

"Your house is... green?" He sounded mean, but his confusion was stronger.

"Yeah! Gir designed it!" He replied, as he knocked the purple door,

"Who?" But before he got an answer, the door open faster than he expected, as if someone was waiting on the other side for Zim to come back.

A women with blue hair opened the door, a smile on her face, "welcome home, son!" She said happily,

If Dib didn't know he had that stupid illness, he would have swore her skin was shining, like if it was made of metal, the woman looked human and all, yet her gaze was blank, as if she looked through the boy.

"This is my mom, my dad isn't here yet," the memory of Gir breaking the robodad just to get his glasses off danced in his head, "mom this is Dib." He said the name as if his mom was speaking another language.

"Dib, hello Dib!" She invisibly scanned the boy from any cameras or recorders, then send the results to Zim's PAK.

When Zim received them, he let the boy in.

The mom walked away in one of the rooms, it was dark inside, the door shut behind her.

"Soo, you have a younger sibling?" Dib asked as he saw the TV on, some childish cartoon was playing.

"Heh?"

"You said someone else's name, Gir i think?"

"Ooh! Uh-" he didn't feel like pretending anymore, no more games, he finished this level, he needed to move to the next one.

Zim turned around to face the human, some dark expressions formed on his pale skin, eyes narrowed.

Dib looked back, he waited for an answer but received nothing.

He looked around, everything looked unreal from the inside, just if he was inside a cartoon show house.

From the big TV, his gaze moved to the couch, he swore something moved in there, he thought it was some kind of a green pillow, but pillows can't move.

The air seemed thick.

His gaze went to Zim again, the pale boy smiled at him, as if he was hiding something, that made Dib take aback, purple eyes never left his amber ones.

"Zim?..." he swallowed, an uneasy feeling made his wrist hairs freeze,

"Gir is my dog." Zim finally answered, he slowly took a step forward, "my pet." He almost draw his hand on the boy's cheek.

"That's meee!!" A high-pitched voice said happily,

Dib's eyes snapped back at the couch where he thought the voice came from,

The green 'pillow' jumped at the edge and ran to them.

Dib felt his heart skip a beat, he froze in place, bloody memories rushed in his head. He could feel his legs lose their ability to hold him.

Eyes wide, mouth open, trying to sound words but nothing came out. The hand that was close to his face finally touched his cheek, he hissed in pain, but never moved his gaze away from what he was seeing.

He wanted to run away, to scream if this was reality or just a dream.

He heard a hiss, from the corner of his eyes, he saw the windows slim shut, making any light that wanted to sneak inside impossible.

The house hummed.

Just beside his 'friend' was a green dog, green with black ears and tail, he looked like a dog, a dog with a lovely fur on it,

But it's body shape was never a dog shape, it stood on two feet, eyes weirdly gazing, a goofy smile on his face, his tail moved left and right, a red neck collar that had what looked like a zipper hanging from it.

"Hi big head boy!!" The dog screamed and waved his small hand at Dib.

Dib's hand shifted to his pocket, he almost gasped when he didn't feel his bottle of pills.

This must be hallucinations!...

"I think you've already met with my dog," Zim said, he drew his hand to the boy's chin and lifted his face to look at his eyes.

"This- c- can't be real! I need my pills!..." he begged, as he gazed more at the purple eyes, he felt darkness invade his sight, but he fought to stay awake.

"Oh, i assure you, this is all real." His smile only grew wide as he took another step,

"I like how different you are from everyone else." He continued, his other hand landed on the human's hair, he parted the hair locks from his forehead. The hand on his chin shifted back to his cheek.

"I just wanna have fun in my time here."

Dib swallowed as Zim invaded his personal space.

Legs betrayed him, he couldn't move.

"You can take your doggo suit now, Gir." The robot screamed happily as he pressed something in his neck collar, the green dog skin glitched as another color formed, green mixed with blue then with light grey.

A light grey/ blue robot stood there, his legs and arms were darker than the rest of his body, he wore a small green shirt, wide cyan eyes gazed, his small antenna moved back and forth, around it was a colorful twill tape, a red keychain with a weird symbol hanged from the end of the antenna,

The robot was covered in small cute stickers, all over him.

"I love watercolors!" He said as he hugged himself,

"We won't be using the Dib for watercolors, Gir, you have enough." He said gazing from the robot to the panicking human.

"I need him." He said, locking his gaze with the boy again, "i want you."

"W- who... are you...?" He finally found his voice, it was low and shaky, it took him effort to speak.

"Eh?" Zim gave him a confused look, "i'm Zim silly!" He smiled again as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Dib just shook his head, squeezing his eyes shut, his legs gave up and he fell to the floor, the feeling of hard metal floor made him crawl back to the far corner, he pushed himself but the wall kept him there.

He was shaking, sweat ran through all his body, eyes wide as tears gathered in the glassy eyes, he held his head, and murmured words about nothing being real,

Then he started to count,

"One, two, three, four,..."

He was fast as in five seconds he got to the number thirty.

Zim gazed at him with wide eyes, blank expressions, he walked to him but Dib pushed further,

"Computer!" He yelled as he stared at the panicking boy, "i think he's having one of these 'seizures' you told me about, right?"

The Computer hummed,

"YES MASTER, THAT'S CORRECT."

"Make him stop then." He ordered as if it was an easy task like turning off the TV,

Yet it was an easy task for an advanced technology.

"RIGHT AWAY."

Metallic arms came from the ceiling and held the boy in place,

"No!! Let go!" He screamed, that made his childhood trauma eat his mind, the doctors always held him strongly, they never listened.

Another arm came out with what appeared to be a needle, Dib would have lost conciseness if he saw it, but thankfully his eyes were shut.

The needle pressed fast on his wrist, whatever was inside rushed so fast his heart skipped a beat.

Eyes snapped open at the familiar feeling, he could see doctors around him, his father would stand far away, watching his son, his insane son.

The arms released him.

Dib fell to the floor, he hugged himself as the chemical ran in his veins, he could feel it.

Whatever it was, it actually calmed his seizure, he felt numb, his skin stopped sweating, and his body stopped shaking.

His eyes narrowed, they were heavy, he felt like sleeping, but something inside refused to let him do so.

He saw Zim move and sit before him,

"Don't sleep." He ordered,

"St'y... awaay...!" He tried yelling but there was not enough air in his lungs.

But Zim only got closer, he moved the messy hair locks from the boy's forehead,

"You're mine, I'll always be close, Dib."

Dib swallowed, "i d'nt wan' to be you's..!!" He shook his head to get the fingers off. "I refuse! I'll tell eve'yone about you!..." his gaze hardened.

"Tsk, tsk, Dib..." he shook his head,

"Computer, show me the Dib imagine, exactly where he was playing with the poor man." Zim ordered, the big TV turned red then a high quality image showed,

Dib's eyes went wide as he saw himself, he was a mess, holding the bloody knife with two hands, his shirt was covered with thick blood, an insane smile was dancing on his lips; it took half of his face.

"I love that hatred." Zim sighed, "i love how you hate your own people, how you just kill them with a smile, how you killed my target then went to school like nothing happened." He said smiling, his sharp teeth shining. "If you... dared to say a word to anyone about this. me. then i'll let them know the monster you are." He added.

The human was frightened to death, the chemicals held his mind from shutting down.

He looked at his hands, even though he wasn't shaking like before, his deep mind was still panicking.

"W h y...?" He hid his face with his hands, his head felt heavy. So heavy.

"Because i like you!" Zim answered easily, "you'll be mine, my pet. and be honored; i take good care of my stuff." He saw more tears ran down the boy's chin.

"Shhh don't cry," he sounded soft, like a murderer calming his target before killing it.

He knew the boy was weak now, so it was so easy to remove his hands from his face. The human's eyes were red as tears kept running down, he gave a pleading stare towards him.

Zim hissed slightly when tears touched his fingers, they weren't as bad as water itself, but they still sting.

Yet he tried drying the human's tears, "i don't like seeing my pet crying."

If Dib had the strength, he would have shoved the inhuman hands away from him, but he was even surprised he was still awake.

Zim noticed something, he gazed at the boy's wrist he was holding, he squeezed it slightly and heard the human hiss in pain.

He let go of one hand to focus on the other, he slid the sleeve upwards to reveal the full arm, he could feel the boy move and try to free his hand, but Zim's grip was tight.

His eyes snapped wide as he saw the scars, some looked new, some were old scars that would never fade, some of them looked like it was made by a sharp object, and others looked like if nails had buried deep inside.

The new ones seemed days old, they were slightly bleeding but not much, they looked painful in a pity way.

"What are those?" Zim asked, not knowing much about the whole thing,

"N- nothin'!" He tried again to take his hand back, but only ended up hurting himself more.

"I can since lies, human, never lie to me." His words were soled and harsh, but it wasn't a lie, he had the ability to since liars.

He gave the human a hard gaze before taking off the black looking bandage, underneath it was some bloody tissues that was stuck in the wound gap.

"I thought hospitals were better at treating these." Zim said and tried removing the tissue, Dib yelped in pain,

"Please... l't go..." he begged with a low voice, but didn't dare move his arm any longer.

Zim hummed as he studied the wound, "Gir!" He called for his robot who was watching cartoons,

"Yes, master?" He answered with a childish voice.

"Get me my medical equipment." He ordered.

The small robot jumped and ran to the kitchen, giggling.

Zim looked back at the stubborn boy, he sighed, then smiled again as he met with the human's stare.

"I'm helping you." He said as if he didn't just kidnap the boy and threatened him. Dib didn't respond and kept giving him hatred yet pleading looks.

"I got 'em!!" Gir screamed as he stopped besides his master,

"Good job, Gir." He got the box from the robots tiny hands,

Gir looked at the boy who was still crying,

"Aww why you saaad??" He frowned, then all of the sudden, "oh! I know what will make yous happy!!"

The robot started to hum and sing as he danced, one leg holding him then the other, his tongue out of his mouth.

Dib looked at him surprisingly, he shivered and leaned away from him.

"Gir, stop, that won't help," he gazed at his robot then back at the new bandages in his hands.

"Awww, why won't youu show you face!" He smiled, and pointed at his master's face.

Zim gave it a thought, but it didn't seem like the greatest idea, he didn't want the boy to lose conciseness, he wanted to have fun with him.

"No, not yet."

Dib gave him a weird look as he imagined what the real inhuman boy would look like.

Gir left them and sat again at the couch.

The new bandages were thick, he took the old ones aside, and removed the dry yet wet tissues away, the human hissed as blood ran from his open cut.

"This is gonna hurt." He said as he put some kind of thick liquid on the wounds, the green liquid felt like acid,

The boy screamed in pain but didn't move, he squeezed his eyes.

Zim put some cotton on it then wrapped it with the bandages, he made sure it was tight enough. Then slid the sleeve back.

"Here." He closed the medical box he had.

Dib finally opened his eyes, he gazed at Zim then at his hand, he moved it slightly then he turned his head away, he was thankful for the help, but not like this...

Zim surprisingly leaned forward to the boy's face, he drew his hand on his cheek, "I forgot about this one," he said as his other free hand opened the box.

There was another form of bandages and band-aids, he looked back at the human, then carefully removed the old bandage,

Underneath it was a purplish color, it was slightly swollen, a small cut was besides it.

He moved both hands and opened the medical liquid, this one was white and thick; using a cotton, he put from the medicine on it then drew it on the bruise,

"Ow..." Dib hissed and closed his left eye.

Zim ignored him, he finished up then placed the bloody cotton aside and got a new cheek bandage, he parted the thin paper away to reveal the sticky side, then gently placed it on the boy's face.

He tapped it to make sure it won't fall.

Then gazed at the boy closed eyes, he licked his lips, and leaned to press a small kiss on the boy's right cheek.

Dib's eyes snapped open at the feeling of lips on his face, it was quick and soft, it made his stomach turn, he quickly leaned back.

His face turned red as his gaze was locked with the inhuman boy before him, his hand slightly touched the area.

Zim had a big smile on his face, eyes on natural level if not slightly wide with excitement, a small blush on his face; his smile grow wide to reveal sharp teeth,

No matter how creepy he looked, the way he acted and treated the things he liked was a total different thing.

"Ah! I see you're not shaking anymore!" Zim said happily, "i assume you're ready to talk to me now, right??" He titled his head to the left, a sweet smile on his face.

"Wh- why are you doing this..?" He swallowed his words, whatever the thing in front of him was, he seemed unstable, a murderer, he should be careful.

"Didn't i tell you?" He slightly frowned, "i like how you're different! I like how you kill and move on like nothing happened, just like me!"

Dib knew this monster was a killer, but actually hearing him admit it like it was a 'hello' was horrifying.

"I don't do it on purpose..."

"Oh, but you do not like humans, you hate them, don't you?" Zim said it, it didn't sound like a question at all, but rather a fact.

"I don't hate my people..!" He denied, a small part of him knew it was a lie.

"Dib..." his expressions darkened, it made the human want to chock himself, "what did i say about lying...?" He sounded like a mother warning her child not to lie, but so much horrifying and creepy.

"H- hate is a strong word..." Dib couldn't met those angry and insane gaze,

"They hurt you, i know that... no one believes you, they won't listen, they would never listen. Even your family think you're insane..." he paused as he saw the human's eye soften and slightly turning red.

"Why keep holding and protecting stink-beasts when they never held into you, they never protected you, you believe that they might change, but they won't and will never believe in you." His voice flat and emotionless, he never blinked.

Dib just shook his head, he drew his hands on his ears to block the sound of the other, but his hands felt like noodles, they didn't block any sound.

"But... I do believe in you." This made the human flinch slightly , "You're perfectly different, smart, but they ruined you."

"Please stop..." the boy begged, he knew it was true, he knew no one liked him or believed him, he felt more tears gathering in his eyes, but refused to let them fall, he felt like a loser.

He always felt like a loser.

"Don't you want to... take revenge...?" He asked, his voice slightly softened, "i can help you, you'll be happy." He shifted closer.

Dib shook his head again, he was about to say 'no' but remembered what Zim said about lying.

Another part screamed at him,

'You think you're lying!? Of course you don't want to take revenge on your own people!'

Do i...?

"You're ending your life with this madness your in, for people who never even looked at you." Zim continued,

"I..." one tear ran down his right cheek, more following, they seemed impossible to stop, as if they were waterfalls.

"You do hate them..." he put his hand on the other shoulder, "you can be with me, we can have fun, we can take what's yours from the ugly bullies, we can go fishing like Gir likes, you can be with someone who believes in you." His head leaned down to look at the human who collapsed on the floor.

"But..." he swallowed, "they're my people... i can't just-..." he sniffed, and shivered, his tears fell at the hard floor.

"But they don't see you as one of them." Zim wiped more of the human eye water.

Something with that sentence made Dib's eyes go wide, his mouth hang open, amber eyes finally meeting with purple eyes, he gazed as if it was the first time he see eyes in his life.

Zim smiled, revealing his shining teeth, a small blush on his face, it was all according to plan.

"Be mine, Dib." He offered, eyes studying the other for any lies,

The human just looked at him, his tears strangely stopped, he didn't even look like he was breathing.

He's right...

'W- what do you mean he's right!?'

They never believed in me... they never saw me as one of them at all, i'm just the insane boy who was suppose to kill himself in any moment!

'No! He's playing with your thoughts!-'

You're the only one who's playing with my thoughts!

'I'm trying to keep you sane!'

They deserve what's coming for them.

'Don't think like that!'

Are you blind!?

'He is a monster!!-'

He's the only one that seemed to care! If I'm going to die by him, then at least it won't be a suicide...

'...'

I've wasted all my childhood with people who deserved to die...

'Dib...'

Maybe i should give this new side a try?...

'...'

Why chase the paranormal when you can befriend it? Be quiet... it's my turn now.

"Dib?" He heard the other calling him, he blinked, a blush formed on his face.

"I..." he took a breath, "i do hate them..." he confessed, " i do want to take revenge..." He swallowed, more confidence build in him, "they did hurt me, they did ruin me..." the last part almost made the confidence leave, but he held to it tightly.

'I won't let you...'

Remember that time when i almost killed myself?

'...'

No one came to see me in the hospital.

'They must be busy...'

So Their work is more important than my life then, huh?

'I won't let you join him.'

Oh?

'I have more control on this body than you! You're just an illness, an illness that can be cured with a small pill!'

Don't worry... I'm slowly taking control.

'Nonsense.'

The little investigator wants evidence...?

'Evidence...?'

Evidence that i can take over this damn body any time.

He gazed at the metal-made box, it looked hard and sharp, heavy...

The other voice was quiet, as if it was stubbornly watching him ruin everything.

Everything is already ruined, you're fixing it now.

He gazed at the pale boy harder, he could feel his hand on his cheek,

He held his breath, what he was looking at was not a human.

Maybe he was much broken than he had ever thought.

Lonely?

Or just insane?

He saw something different in the human's eyes.

Dib quickly held the medical box and slammed his head with it, just to show the other voice that he had more control. It was hard enough for him to fall on the floor,

'You're a murderer...'

I told you to shut up.

Darkness invaded His sight, everything was spinning, eyes slowly closing.

Zim gazed at him with a surprised expressions, he blinked once and twice, waited, but the boy didn't move, he was unconscious now.

"I told you not to lose consciousness." He said with a frown as if the boy would hear him.

he leaned to slide his hands underneath him, one under his neck and the other under his thighs, he lift the boy in the air and placed him close to his chest.

The human was skinny, too skinny and light.

Zim considered just throwing him on the floor so his neck would break, but not now.

He laid down on the couch, Zim rested his head on the couch arm, the human was above him.

Zim looked at him then started playing with his hair, "You're a mess, aren't you...?" He sighed and looked at the ceiling, he imagined all the fun he could do...

They could go somewhere, who know? A store? With guns, they would kill.

Zim can have fun, the human can have his revenge, and Gir would be the happiest with more watercolors.

And of course, because he was smart, no one would know who did it.

A small smile sneaked to his face.

He knew the human would probably disagree, "Computer!" He yelled, not caring if the boy would wake up, "get me the choker."

He thought of everything.

If the boy wouldn't join him, wouldn't be his, then he'll force him.

A metallic arm came from the ceiling holding a black looking necklace, a choker, it landed on Zim's hand.

He gazed at it.

If the boy refused, this device would force him to do anything he wants, just a click from the irken's PAK and the it would send electric shocks to the human's body.

It can also stop him from moving, or talking.

And the human can never take it off.

Zim drew his finger on the hard fabric, it looked like any 'necklace' as humans called it, like the one he saw Dib wearing in some photos the computer showed him.

It was perfect.

He shifted slightly to the boy's neck, removing the trench coat, he slid his hands to place his device, it clicked, and tightened on the human's skin.

Zim smiled more.

He won this level yet again.

How easy this game could be?

"Can i go and draaaw?" The robot asked as he gazed at the body above his master,

"Yes, you can."

Gir screamed happily as he ran down to the lab, where all his beautiful drawings with Watercolors were.

Zim sighed.

too easy.

Will it stay like this?

No?

Levels will only get harder.

That's why games are enjoyable.
