We should know that I do not own Atla. So, this is chapter 3!
Chapter 3: Toph
Aang was thinking. It had been 2 days since his bending had left him. He had tried 4 times to bend and nothing happened. He was mostly thinking about how he could get it back but mostly on how to keep it a secret.
"Hey, Twinkle toes! Up for a spar?" Toph asked him, rubbing her hands together.
Aang's eyes widened. He couldn't spar with Toph if he had no bending. Was he supposed to say? Toph I can't spar with you because my bending is gone?
"Uh...hello?" Toph asked again.
Aang started to get nervous. He felt a drip of sweat drip on his forehead.
"Why are you so nervous?" Toph asked him.
"Uhh...Sorry Toph but...err…. I'm a little tired at the moment...sorry." Aang said nervously.
"That's a lie! Why won't you fight me? Scared?" Toph teased.
"No!" Aang shouts. But he knew Toph was getting him to spar with her. "Well..yeah.." Aang said.
"That's a lie also." Toph said.
"Toph I don't really wanna right now okay?"
"Whatever," Toph complained going away.
It was a cold night and everyone was getting ready for bed. Katara went out to the beach where Aang was. "Hey"
Aang turned around to see Katara. "Hey"
"You okay? You've been awfully quiet lately" Katara asks.
"I know"
"You know, you don't have to hide things from me. You can tell me anything." Katara says.
"I know that too"
"So why are you acting like this?"
"I've lost my...I'm just afraid of doing something wrong." Aang says hesitating.
"Aang you've ended this war. Every Avatar makes mistakes, don't hold onto it Aang. You'll do everything great . Okay?" Katara says
"Okay thanks Katara." Aang says standing up. They kiss goodnight and Katara goes inside the house but Aang stays outside. He sits down. He looks down, till he hears a voice.
"Well, well,well, If it isn't lie lie pants." Toph teases.
Aangs says nothing
"You know your heart rate has been acting very strange lately.." Toph says.
Aang still says nothing
"Well, at least I know somethings wrong with you.. And if you don't tell me what it is, I'll blurt out all your secrets!" Toph says with a smile.
"Well..I" Aang says, stuttering.
"Save your breath. I don't really wanna know. But I do know you're struggling and you're scared and something else…" Toph says.
"You won't tell anyone right?"
"I dunno, should I?" Toph says.
"NO!" Aang yells.
"Okay..Chill… I'm guessing Katara knows?" Toph asks.
Aang looks down "Well, I'm planning on telling her." Aang says.
"Yeah..But you'll leave out the important stuff! Listen to me Twinkle toes, If this..Stage...gets out of hand i'm telling everyone!" She yells at him.
"Ok.. thanks Toph," Aang says.
"Get some sleep Twinkle toes, you'll need it." Toph says turning around to leave.
"I will." Aang says.
"Wow, you're really good at this lying thing," Toph says, leaving.
Aang shakes his head and gets up to leave.
"Avatar Aang.."
Aang closes his eyes tightly and plugs his ears with his hands.
"You know that wont do anything right?"
Yet Aang still plugs his ears and lays on his bed once he gets to his room.
"So keeping secrets huh?"
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" Aang yells to the voice but also in real life.
"Aang, who are you talking to?" Katara asks him.
"Oh, no one, sorry."
Katara frowns but goes back to sleep.
"You know, You'll have to tell her sometime."
"I'll tell her when i'm ready, when she's ready."
"Oh well she'll just find out on her own"
Aang frowns and turns on his side.
"Avatar Aang…"
