𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐊𝐀 was pretty much boring, at least for her to say the least. But for the scooby gang, as her sister liked to call them it was just the daily supernatural shit.

Elena bunked somewhere to go with Rose, and as you guessed it some uneventful shit happened. Again. Sometimes it felt to her that Mystic Falls should be renamed as Gilbertose or anything related to Elena Gilbert.

The day passed with less to no information passed down from her friends. Good for herself, as she thought. She just wanted this Klaus thing to end as soon as possible.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐇𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐄 as before, but Devika got a call from Jeremy Gilbert, asking if she wanted to keep Elena on the bay. Damon along with Bonnie and Jeremy had voodoo-ed her into house arrest.

But now it was over and why not? She had nothing to do.

When she got there, she hung out with the girls, joking and having fun, acting like there was never any supernatural shit going on with them.

Elena and Devika went downstairs as the latter had to go to her home too. But they stopped as they saw Jenna crouched on the floor in the doorway of the closet under the stairway.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Elena asked her aunt, causing the strawberry blonde to get up. "You two, perfect timing." Jenna sighed as she picked up a few boxes and shoved them towards the two young adults.

"What's this Jenna?" Devika asked unsurely, she knew they weren't shifting. What was going on with the Gilberts, honestly?

"Miranda's files from the historical society. This was like her baby, you can say. I got roped into working with Carol Lockwood." The woman paused for a second, "And by roped, I mean very excited to participate."

The next thing they both knew, Jenna Sommers shut the door close revealing a figure in an Armani suit, which caused Elena to gasp in horror.

"Hello, I'm Elijah."

Lag gayi waat. (we are genuinely fucked.)

"𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐉𝐀𝐇 𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐃𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇 𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐘𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂 𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐒," Jenna spoke as she took the box from a gobsmacked Devika. The much taller man walked towards them with a smug smile, "It's a pleasure."

Honestly, she was expecting someone like 'Crime-master Gogo', not this guy. He looked more like a businessman instead of a bloodsucking vampire, as she analyzed the Original.

"So," Jenna began as Devika swallowed her throat in shock. "You know, you're more than welcome to rummage through the attic, or Elena and Devika, along with me could help you load all this stuff in your car?" The girls shifted uncomfortably under the Original's stare.

"Or maybe, I can ask someone else to." Elijah offered. Ask, more like compelling. Devika thought. "Also a good plan." Jenna hummed.

"Thank you so much for inviting me to your home, Miss. Sommers." Elijah smiled at Jenna. "Please, call me Jenna." She said. "Oh, and Elena," He said as he walked past through them, "Let's hope, we meet again soon." And with a curious glance at Devika, he walked away, resuming to talk with Jenna.

Elena then motioned her friend to follow her upstairs, but before they could reach her room, Elijah gripped Elena's hand, making the girl wince in pain. They began to walk away, but he brought his finger to his lips, gesturing them to be quiet.

"What the hell do you want?" Devika asked as he pushed both the teens towards Elena's room.

"It's time that we all have a little chat."

Bhaag Devika. Bhaag (Run Devika. Run)

"𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍, 𝐈 𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐌𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐌 𝐓𝐎 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐊𝐈𝐍," Elijah said as he took a seat on the small bench under the window. Both the girls stared at the original, in both curiosity and fear. Devika was the one to break the silence, "Why did you kill the vampires who kidnapped Elena?"

"Because I did not wish for her to be taken." The man in the suit replied, making Devika raise her eyebrow in response, intrigued.

Both the girls hitched their breath in fear, "So that you can...?" Devika asked him, afraid that he could harm her friend.

"Klaus is the most hated and feared one out of the Originals, but those who are afraid of him the most desperately try to seek his approval."

"Why?" Devika asked, all of a sudden. "What did he possibly do, so that they're afraid of him?"

"He mercilessly kills the ones who disappoint him. Even his kin. He is a threat we need to evade. That is why he must die." Elijah replied grimly. Devika felt a twinge of chill in her backbone.

Elena crossed her arms, huffing, "So you want to use me. To lure Klaus out." The man gave her a blank look. "Well, to do that I need you to stay out and stop trying yourself to get killed." He finished with a small smirk, only resulting in glare from the doppleganger.

"How do we know you are not lying?" Devika asked blankly, her glance fixed towards the man in the suit.

"Well, if I didn't you would be dead and I would have already taken her to Klaus." His words scared the amber-eyed girl for a moment, her confident exterior fading away before snarking a sarcastic comment.

"Touche."

"I'm here to offer you a deal." His eyes flickered between the two girls. "What kind of a deal?" Elena narrowed her eyes at the man as he stood up. "Do nothing."

"Do nothing. Live your life, and stop fighting. When the time is right, we will draw him out and I shall make your friends go out unscathed."

"After that?" Asked Devika as she was pretty much sure, what the man would say. "I'll kill him," Elijah answered, quite sharply. "Just like that?" Devika's eyes flashed a small gold fleck, before returning to her warm eyes. It wasn't gone unnoticed by the Original.

"I'm a man of my word. I make a deal, I keep it." Elijah drawled back a response.

"How do you know that you will keep my friends safe?" Elena asked, protectiveness and guilt flashing over the doppleganger's eyes.

"I heard about a friend of yours. Bonnie, isn't it? She can help us. Well, she is a descendant of Ayanna. Isn't it?" Elena glared at the man.

"And well, your friend standing along with you can protect herself quite well. Isn't it?" His eyes were fixed on Devika as he said.

She was confused. What did he mean by that? She can protect herself quite well. The last time she checked herself, she knew she wasn't any supernatural humbo jumbos. What the exact hell what the man was saying? She needs a vacation and a long call with maasi. (Aunt)

"What?" Both the teens asked the man at the same time.

"Oh. You don't know what are you?" Elijah asked with a small smirk. "No. Not at all." Devika's eyes widened.

"Well, that's a conversation for another time." The man said as he walked away, knowingly.
