He always made a big deal of important dates, especially those he shared with his wife. Down to the very night they met, which coincidently was the same night they shared their first kiss in the cemetery adjacent to his family home, during his cousins funeral.
Today was their wedding anniversary, and after having to work through most of the day, the rest of the evening was for them, and a dinner out at their favourite restaurant was exactly what was needed.
Gomez smiled warmly as he made his way behind his wife, reaching over and plucking the delicate necklace from her hands.
"Allow me, cara mia.." he whispered. He waited for her to lift her hair, exposing her slender neck to him, before securing the chain to her.
"Thank you.." the words leaving her with a smile as she absentmindedly brought her fingers to the item of jewellery, cold against her skin.
He knew the piece well, his wedding gift to her. A dainty platinum chain holding a crystal vial at the end, containing drops of his own blood. It was only worn for particular events, and an anniversary dinner was just one of a long list.
"Preciosa." He whispered into her hair as she tidied her tresses around her shoulders, his face pressing against her, inhaling perfume. Lifting his eyes and gazing lovingly at her reflection where she sat at her dressing table. Her make-up was immaculate, the redness of her full lips highlighting the unique paleness of her. Just one of the many things Gomez found irresistible.
Leaning into his warm chest, the aroma of his cologne and the subtle undertone of his Cuban tucked away in his pocket, it was undeniably, him.
Feeling the kiss placed against her cheek and his warmth leave her, she watched from the mirror with a subtle smile etched on her face as he walked back towards their bed.
Pushing her plush velvet seat away from the table, the legs scratching against the aged floorboards; Morticia stood and checked her dress over in the mirror, looking over her shoulder at her reflection before turning to her husband. Sauntering towards her beloved, she took notice of the fine material he was holding in his hand between two fingers whilst he secured his cufflinks. Removing it from his loose grasp she placed it around his neck, opening his collar a little more, her fingers gentle along his skin. Wrapping the ascot around itself and tucking it inside his collar, plumping out the fabric a little before placing a pin carefully on the seam to hold it in place. Smoothing her palms underneath his blazer and along his silky waistcoat.
"You look as handsome as ever, Gomez." She murmured, her arms snaking their way to his nape.
"And you, my darling, are the most divine woman I have ever laid my eyes upon." His fingers delicately brushing against her cheek, before resting upon her waist.
"Merci, monsieur Addams." She purred in her usual seductive tone, glancing up at her husband, waiting for the oncoming onslaught of affection from him that her French brought out.
Tightening his grip against her waist, he dipped her down, one hand on the small of her back, the other gripping tightly to her hand.
"'Tish…that's..French.." said between a tirade of kisses placed along her arm.
