This time, Shadow was awoke by the pups entering the Lookout for the day. He got up and looked around for the second time in the day. "Morning everyone" Shadow said as he and Rocky began walking to the elevator. Without letting the others' respond to his greeting, they got into the elevator and dropped into the basement and into the lab. "Geez that thing is really bright today" Rocky said, grabbing his protective glasses. Shadow also put his on and they looked at the tabletop monitor. "Why do you think the energy levels are so high?" Rocky questioned. "I don't know, but we should keep working on the handheld sensor for it." Shadow responded. Rocky walked over to the wall and grabbed the small plastic gun-looking machine, he then placed the chaos emerald in the cutout designed for it. The sensor began to light up, displaying a color scale ranging from red to green. Everything appeared to be working, with the light in the red of the color scale. "So when the light gets into the green, I'm pretty much on top of an emerald, or some other magnetic disturbance?" Shadow inquired. "Exactly, and the compass will point to any other emerald, or really any magnetic pulse." Rocky replied. The two paused and got back into the elevator. While it slowly climbed to the top of the Lookout, Shadow began putting on what appeared to be some kind of suit. He then strapped a square backpack on. "What are you doin-" Shadow didn't give him time to finish. With the new sensor in hand and the elevator door opened, he ran to the balcony and lept off, to Rocky's shock. "What the hell are you doing?!" Rocky yelled. Shadow then spread his arms and legs, and with a small jetpack roaring to life, he coasted off into the air. Bewildered, Rocky yelled, "Since when do you have a wingsuit?!" "Since always, you should know to expect the unexpected with me!" Shadow yelled back.
