Chapter 3
The Trinity
Ibiza, Spain
"So what exactly are we doing here." Izuku asked as he and his master Jack walked down a long rocky road towards one of few secret places around the area in which you go to let your mind rest.
"Well besides the change of view. We are here to pick up the others who will be joining you on your assignment." Jack said giving a long exhale of smoke from his cigarette.
"Who? I thought I was the only one assigned to this mission." Izuku was now curious as to what their true purpose was here.
"You were, but Kano wasn't sure you would be able to handle it knowing who else would be attending the classes with you." Jack said.
"If she's talking about Izumi, then she is over thinking things as usual." Izuku said coming out through the tree foliage to see a small little beach front curved around the land mass.
As Izuku took a couple steps and felt the immediate feeling of rocky terrain turn into soft causal sand. Did he feel it, the energy flowing throughout the ground and into the sea which caused a sort of back and forth motion. Bringing forth both new and old as the constant flow of energy flowed throughout the area bathing it in a wave of radiance.
"It really does love you doesn't it." Jack came behind him finding him standing there and taking in the flow of energy which seemed drawn to him.
"What can I say. The Mana is strong with me." He laughed as Jack just rolled his eyes.
"God I should really stop you from watching those cheesy movies."
"Hahaha. Anyway who is it that we are here to get? And why do we need him? I can do this assignment no problem." Izuku turned towards Jack seeing him find a comfy spot to sit down and relax as he basked in the sun's rays.
"How long have you been with me Izuku?" Jack asked causing Midoriya to raise an eyebrow seeing him try to stall.
"What are you getting at?"
"When you were first brought into my care. I won't lie I wasn't fond of you; I mean think about it a man enjoys the labors of life having a child dropped into it. Well it makes things kind of complicated. But if I had a chance to go back and change it in anyway. Well I wouldn't change anything, now here you are going on your very own mission without my aid." As he was speaking throughout his little dialogue Izuku was just giving him a questionable look still not getting at where he was going with this.
"Are you afraid I might fail?" he asked.
"No, not at all. In fact, I know you'll succeed, because of everything I've taught you." He opened his eyes staring into the ever clear sea.
"Then why send someone with me?"
"For you to learn your final lesson."
As Izuku looked at his master sitting down and looking into the sea of water. He could immediately tell his mind wasn't in the present and as he turned back to look at the beach and the waves coming to and from, did he feel something. Not the flow of mana coming to and from, but something else deep in the crawling abyss. Suddenly the calming tides started to rumble and thrash around with the sand underneath him jumping up and moving around as if to make way for something.
"For your final lesson…. teamwork."
BOOM
Out of the water burst forth two figures with one being a giant serpent like being. Almost like an overgrown snaked only this thing had scales that moved around its body with some coming off of it and taking flight heading towards the other figure. This one being human as he was merely letting gravity take him. His eyes snapped open with lightning surging around him, before a fast moving object came out of the water and into his hands showing everyone that it was a sword.
"Roaring Dragon!"
With a swing of his sword came forth a burst of lightning. Taking the shape of a dragon that gave a mighty roar which blocked the small bullet like attacks as the lightning dragon shot towards the serpent like being who took it head on as it screamed in pain before exploding into a cloud of black gas.
The figure surrounded in lightning landed in front of the two as a cloud of sand was thrown into the air, before falling back down as Izuku was now face to face with the man who took down the serpent like being.
"Well, well seems like I had an audience to this little beating. Oh? It's just you Izuku." The lightning man said.
"Good to see you to Rai Daikon." Izuku smirked seeing his old friend/rival.
"What brings you out here to my neck of the woods." Rai asked.
"That's what I'm wondering. Seeing as how Jack didn't bother explaining to me anything other than we are here to pick up some people." Izuku said.
"Who the hell are you here to pick up?" Rai asked.
"You." Jack said standing up and making his way towards the water.
"WHAT!" Yelled the two.
"Where is Merlin?" Jack asked looking around the area.
"WAIT! Merlin is here." Izuku looked around his voice one filled with worry.
"Don't tell me your still scared after the last time the two of you talked." Jack said laughing a little at seeing Izuku having a nervous and scared expression reminding him of back when he was just a little boy.
"Oh yeah he still seems a little scared. Anyway she's dealing with the rest of them down below." Rai pointed out towards the ocean as Jack and Izuku looked out further feeling a great power.
Suddenly the water started to bubble with the fish and marine life scurrying around in a frenzy. Then large explosions occurred as they started to come closer and closer to land until one final loud explosion occurred throwing water at the three present along with the bodies of a few giant sea creatures laying around them.
"Seems like she is still going a little over board." Izuku thought as he and Rai sweat dropped at the amount of bodies lying around them.
"Well. Well. Well if it isn't Izuku Midoriya." Suddenly the hairs on Izuku back went up as he slowly turned around to come face to face with a girl the same age as him wearing a muscle bound shit underneath a trench coat with her pants which were ripped at the knees as hefted on her shoulders was a giant axe bathed with blood of the monsters before them.
"Oh hey Merlin it's good to see you. How's it been?" Izuku said in a shakily voice only to have the axe nearly slice him in half as it was imbedded into the sand next to him.
"A lot better since our last meeting." Merlin said with a sneer as Izuku nervously laughed.
"Enough kids you shouldn't be fighting especially since the three of you will be teammates for this assignment." Jack said as the three turned towards him with shocked looks.
"Wait are you telling me the two of them are gonna join me in class." Asked Izuku.
"Wait class what does this mission entail?" Rai asked.
"I'm not taking any mission with him." Merlin said pointing at Izuku who looked down in sadness.
"Sorry for the short notice and not detailing it enough in the last message. But Kano wants you three to take the UA entrance exams to keep an eye on not only the students. But for their protection against the intentions of these things." Jack kicked one of the sea monsters to get his point across.
"Wait, but I thought all demon souls and possessions were only able to happen in small towns or areas of spiritual areas." Rai asked.
"Yes, but recently they have been appearing more and more not only in large populated areas and cities. But hero schools as well." Jack then started to hand out small note pads which showed not only pictures of a school called Rising Tides." About a year ago an incident occurred with one of the students in which his quirk went haywire. In fact, his whole personality changed. Not of his own and he rampaged destroying anything in his way with the heroes on scene being unable to do help considering the fact the boy was super charged."
"It would seem Fuijin was able to handle it though." Rai said seeing a video of the rampaging kid being taken out easily by someone with wind powers.
"Luckily he was training in the area at the time to help." Izuku said.
"Those heroes were useless. I mean what kind of job are they doing." Merlin said growling at the poor job the heroes were doing.
"While it is true those heroes weren't of any help. They are still there for the safety of those who are not ready for our involvement. Now back on track." Jack passed around another file as they looked and saw several more occurrences like the Tide incident." After that day more and more similar things have been happening all over the world in either Elementary where strong heroes are produced or popular hero schools that either produce the most successful heroes or ones known for their strict teachings.
"Seems like the incidents were handled by the local heroes." Izuku said.
"Or others like us." Merlin said looking over the recent incidents.
"Seems Ben and Eren had incidents occur at their schools." Rai said seeing both of their schools were mentioned in the reports.
"So what does our mission entail." Izuku asked feeling it was the question on all their minds.
"Simple you three are being sent to UA. The only school as of right now that hasn't had a major incident with any of their kids. Which wouldn't matter that much, but the fact they haven't tried to means they are waiting for something bigger. It doesn't help that ALL might will be a teacher this year meaning that UA might be a bigger target than usual." Jack said having them look at the briefing he was handed a while ago.
"This wouldn't happen to also include the two incidents with those villains." Izuku asked.
"If your referring to the giant villain that gained extra power and the slime demon. Then you are correct, in fact that is the reason we called Rai and Merlin. To make sure that not only you are able to handle it, but that the students attending are safe." Jack said.
"So you're already getting yourself in trouble back home huh, Izuku." Merlin said looking over those two specific incidents.
"Wasn't my intention to deal with those two, but seeing as how they were special cases I decided to involve myself in it." Izuku said.
"Seems you earned yourself a little spot light with that last one." Rai said showing a picture of him being taken in by the heroes and police.
"Oh yeah that was a real bother. Though luckily master was able to get me out, before they could ask me anything in particular." Izuku said.
"Yes, but still you should be careful using your powers. Unlike Rai and Merlin yours are a special case so try to keep it to a minimum once you get into UA. The same applies to all of you don't go showing off or anything, but make sure you keep your guard up." Jack said.
"So we start around the same time the UA entrance exams are huh?" Rai said.
"Who else will be joining us?" asked Izuku.
"And what kind of danger are we expected to face." Merlin asked excitement in her voice.
"Yes, in about six months you three will take them. Unfortunately, you will have to take the same test as other applicants so as to not expose you too much. Though since it will only be the three of you your chances of passing shouldn't be too difficult. As for the danger, well seeing as how we are having you three here. That should spell out how dangerous this situation could get." Jack looked at the three as a realization dawned around them upon looking at each of themselves.
"Wow after all that's happened today I totally didn't notice this is our first time teaming up after five years." Rai said.
"Your right the last time we teamed up was..."
"The Haiti incident. Where we came upon a large colossal attacking the villages and people." Merlin said showing a rare smile.
"Isn't that the time when Rai tried to control the sky themselves and instead got knocked down." Izuku said as him and Merlin laughed while Rai sulked in the corner.
"Hey didn't you two try to use some combo attack and it backfired on you." Rai said as the two laughed a little bit remembering how they were basically using a dangerous killing move that they never practiced.
"At least it got the job done." Izuku said as the three laughed.
"Good times huh." Rai said as suddenly him and the others were handed a folder with Izuku being handed a set of keys.
"Now that the you three are back together here are your passports and tickets back to Japan. Izuku has the set of keys to all three of your home for the next couple of months. Make sure you don't ruin it too much." Jack said as he started to walk back down the path to the town leaving the three too converse as today marked a special day.
The Trinity had reformed.
One week Later
"So this is Japan… Honestly it's not much. I don't see why people enjoy it so much." Merlin was looking over the busy streets of Mustafa in which they had made their home for this assignment.
It had been a week now since they had reformed their little trinity with the three having moved here the next day. Settling in being simple seeing as their housing consisted of a large two story house that sat atop the cliff side edge of the city. Which allowed them to travel easier throughout the city and gave them a better view of it. Though so far the only thing the three have been doing is settling in and getting to know the area with things being quiet so far.
"You haven't even gone out much. How could you say those things?" Izuku said sitting on the couch and watching the new for any updates that have occurred while he was out.
"Nothing even intrigues me here. Why can't something exciting happen." Merlin asked leaning off the balcony.
"If you guys want we can go into town today. They are having a small little summer festival." Izuku said holding up a flyer for the annual Mustafa Summer Festival.
"That sounds nice. Gives us something to do until we figure out the layout and schedules of most of the heroes in the area and around Japan." Rai said sitting at his desk top looking up the news articles and routines of some heroes that social media was posting about. Which made him finding out about the routes that much easier.
"I guess though I choose the venues we go to." Merlin said giving the two a hard stare with the two shakily nodding.
Thus the day progressed with the three finding themselves in the middle of the city. Which so happen to be during rush hour as they walked with the crowds, departing with them and heading into a larger area. Where more people were at walking around and buying foods or playing games with the many stands in the area being crowded around. The three looked at each other smiling, before going on and trying each stand that wasn't too busy with Merlin finding herself in most of the harder games. While Rai was busy trying out different foods he hadn't tried before. Izuku on the other hand was just walking around talking in the surroundings and feeling the auras of all around him.
"This could've been you."
Izuku stopped as he found himself staring at a small family of four the dad talking with the concession stand owner. The mom laughing at the antics of her two children, a boy and a girl. Eating ice cream as if it was the best thing in the world as they laughed, smiled and jumped for joy. And for that split second he felt his heart recoil as if knowing that if it wasn't for that incident those four could've been him and his family. That could be him smiling with joy at eating ice cream.
"Shut up."
But that was the past and this was the present. So right now he must work towards a future where others won't suffer just like him. Izuku turned around and started to walk to the middle square where it was less crowded, but suddenly he stopped as his sense started to tense and go haywire. A ding snapped him out of it as he looked down to see a message from Rai.
Did all of you feel that.
He quickly responded with a, yes. Till he felt it again only this time it was different and not as close to him. With Merlin messaging back that another presence has popped up only this one was closer to her. He was about to message back that they should meet up, but stopped upon feeling like someone was watching him and looked up towards a large fountain where behind the statue of a horse stood a man whose height made him stand out from the crowd. He looked up his hood covering most of his face with Izuku only seeing his eyes, but his eyes widen as two red eyes stared right back at him a smile snapping him out of it as he went to run after the stranger only for him to disappear.
"Where the hell did he go?" Izuku looked around only to find nothing as he pulled out his phone going to call the others.
"Mommy look at the water." A young kid right next to Izuku said pointing at the fountain as Midoriya turned his head to the kid only to stop feeling something behind him.
Roaring Serpent: Water Rush
Izuku spun around only to have enough time to see water as he was pushed back and sent flying into several food stands, before the water serpent raised him up and threw him into one of the big buildings causing destruction and panic as everyone screamed and started to run only for two more explosions to occur. Causing more panic among the masses as everyone ran in different directions ignoring those who were in the way, causing much more destructions to the area and others.
"Ah I just love when humans run with fear and panic." The water in the fountain started to all coverage and take shape until the tall man Izuku was looking at earlier appeared his disguise gone as he stood with no shirt, water proof battle pants with sandals that clicked on the stone ground. The hair blue as the sky and his eyes red and teaming with an almost inhuman look." I wonder how the others are doing"
Two large explosions happened as he turned seeing stone come flying at him, but he moved away in time for one his partners for this mission to come crashing next to him. He saw lightning starting to come from another area as he wondered how Dani was doing with his target.
"GOD DAMMNT!"
"Seems you are having some difficulty their Jinn." The water man laughed as his teammate Jinn jump up as the rocks around him started to float up combining into giant stone spears.
"Shut up Shinji. It's not my fault my target was more sensitive to her surroundings." Jinn said as he sent the spears flying, before following after them with the ground underneath him being his floating board.
"Ha. Guess I'll go back up that idiotic- Huh!" Shinji turned towards the building he had thrown Izuku into sensing a large amount of mana.
"If you think that was enough to put me down." Izuku started to say as the darkness around him started to grow with the people in the building starting to run away as he looked at the person who hurt him.
"Mana Sealing Level 1: Release."
A blue array surrounded him, before it broke apart and black clouds formed around him. Then in a burst of speed he came flying out of the building as Shinji's eyes widen, before jumping back dodging the impact which broke the ground he once stood on. The smoke was quickly blown as Izuku was wielding a large broad sword one which was flowing with darkness.
"So you took the attack. Good this makes things interesting." Shinji started to form little droplets which quickly harden and formed into needles.
Water Magic: Death Needle Hailstorm.
The dozens of needles flew in the blink of an eye at Izuku who didn't move in inch as he let the needles get dangerously close, before in a flash he was gone as Shinji grew wide eyes, before having to duck when a sword came swinging ready to cut his head from his body. Izuku followed up with a spinning heel kick which sent Shinji flying back towards the empty fountain.
"You bastard."
"Next time don't attack me unprovoked." Izuku said.
"unprovoked? Oh, no young one we attacked you and your friends for a reason." Shinji said as the water behind him started to rumble, before flying up and changing into three serpents like dragons.
Water Magic: Hydra Triad
Izuku narrowed his eyes as the three water serpents rushed towards him each moving next to the other in a coordinated attack. With the closet one striking first as Izuku jumped over it swinging his sword and cutting it at its nape. He then quickly turned around to block the other water serpent who pushed him back, but kept a firm hold on his sword stopping him from blocking the other serpent who came rushing behind him.
Darkness Magic: Abyss
The sword in the serpent's mouth started to release and spread out its darkness covering its head and Izuku in a ball of black. One in which the third Serpent smashed into finding it impenetrable. Then as suddenly as it appeared it disappeared with Izuku coming out of it sword freed and already in mid swing with the water serpent being taken down in a split second.
"If that's the best you can do. Then you're not- Groh"
Izuku found himself tackled by more serpents these ones smaller, but vast in number as some wrapped around his arms and legs, while others took his sword away as he was hoisted up in the air. Then slammed into the ground and dragged around the area taking down more and more confession stands.
"You know the tale of a Hydra. Cut one head two more takes its place. Unlucky for your darkness boy." Shinji created more Hydra's that went to attack the kid as Shinji smirked looking over and seeing the other two battles calming down. Though he felt something off as he felt his two teammates mana go lower and lower, while the two they are supposed to deal with have either stayed the same or gained in power.
"So you've already felt it huh?" Shinji looked back to Izuku with his eyes widening at seeing almost all of his creatures destroyed with the water used to create them evaporating. As Izuku cut down another Hydra watching as it screamed in pain, evaporating into steam as he saw that Izuku held another sword this one being thinner and longer with the hilt having a rough edge as red energy flowed through the middle of it.
"What the hell are you talking about!"
BOOM!
BOOM!
Shinji turned around upon feeling two things slamming behind him. Seeing the smoke coming off one and the other having sparks fly off it as Shinji had wide eyes seeing his two teammates beaten to a pulp and unconscious.
"Now you realize your situation. That you three were sent here not to stop us, but to observe us and see just who they are up against." Izuku cut down the last Hydra as Shinji had wide eyes feeling the mana from him and knowing he wouldn't make it out of this alive.
"Your still dealing with him Izuku? Stop messing around with him and end him." Merlin said walking up to them having a few scratches here and there. As she hauled a giant axe over her shoulder and Rai soon joined her having his trusty sword in his holster as his shirt had a large cut in it, but no wound in it.
"Usually I wouldn't be so in a rush. Though this is the middle of the city and the heroes or police could show up any minute now. So it would be in our best interest to get moving." Rai said.
"Yeah your right I've seen all I can and it gave me a hint of what their really here for." Izuku said as he looked at the shaking man.
"NO! I won't be finished, not now." Shinji then gathered all the water in the area that he could gather as it started to come together creating a giant armor around him as two swords of water were now in his hands as he raised them up high.
"Well I was gonna give you a chance to run. But seeing as that is not an option anymore." Izuku called forth his other sword which flew from the forest and into his hands as darkness exploded from it.
Demon Destroyer: Abyss.
Izuku had his sword growtwice as big with Izuku having his other one disappear into a cloud of darkness. As Shinji went for the kill with his blades, but Izuku just took it head on, before in a flash he broke through the two blades with a swing of his own. An action that shocked Shinji as Izuku smirked and cracking the ground flew up and faster than he could react Izuku broke through his armor and his inner defenses.
Black Divider
Shinji could do nothing, but have a shocked look as his magic disappeared and his body fell to the ground, unconscious.
"About time you finished him. I was starting to get bored." Merlin said.
"I'm sorry you like to finish your opponents as fast as possible." Izuku said having his powers disappear.
"Alright you two let's get out of here, before the heroes and police show up." Rai said trying to get the two to calm down, before they get into an argument.
"I guess, but we aren't done here." Merlin said as she started to walk back to their house.
"Good, because I really didn't want to argue for hours on end." Izuku said following right behind her.
"Geez, how those two dated I will never know." Rai said following behind them and putting a hand on each of their shoulders, before in a flash of blue they were gone.
Unknown Area
"It would seem your people failed in their mission." A simple yet scratchy voice said as his irritation could be heard.
"Well their mission in the end wasn't really to kill them. But to evaluate just who was sent to interfere with our plans. And now we do." Another voice spoke up only this one was much deeper. Almost sounding like the person had a cold.
"You still should've had them caused more damage. Maybe kill a hero or two." The raspy voice spoke back.
"Why your hate for heroes is so strong I will never know, but in the end. It doesn't matter for your hate fuels me, Tomura Shigaraki." The deep voice laughed as said person was sitting in the middle of the bar talking loudly to himself to the voice inside of him.
"Do you think it was wise to let young Tomura talk to the thing." A figure with a more gas like face said as his yellow eyes stared at the talking teenager.
"You worry too much Kurogiri. I think him talking with his inner demon will help him in the long run. Besides he's gonna need to speak with it eventually as the master deems it." Another man one who was more human in physical aspects was sitting in one of the stools sipping on a glass of alcohol.
"Your master Juno. Mine is more in line with today's society." Kurogiri stated.
"Ah don't be like that gas face. Both of our masters are working towards the same goal. So no need to get all defensive." Juno said giving the gas man a smirk who glared at him with his glowing eyes.
"Now you two there is no need to fight. For now, we must make preparations for the upcoming months. With the UA exams approaching I'm certain young Tomura would like to make an explosive entrance for all those up and coming heroes." Another voice spoke up this one more female as she found herself being carried by a giant ape like man with half his face being covered by a cloth, but the red glow of his right eye can be seen through the fabric.
"It's good to see you again Myra. Where have you been?" Juno asked.
"The boss wanted me to check on a couple of side ventures he's been working on. Though one of them he thinks would be really useful for the UA attack we have planned in a few months." The now named Myra said.
"What is it?" Tomura now out of his talkative state coming upon the trio's conversation.
"Oh, you'll find out soon little Tomura. In the meantime, I think it's time for your little training session with Bane." Myra said panting the large man next to her as Tomura started to back away showing signs of fear.
"No I don't want to." He said fear evident in his voice.
"Sorry bud, but you have no choice in the matter." Myra said as Tomura was dragged away by the large Bane character with him trying to use his quirk, but to no affect.
"How long must this training continue. I was hoping none of my furniture would get turned to dust later." Kurogiri said sighing knowing how Tomura gets after his training sessions with Bane.
"Ah, he shouldn't complain so much if he wants to get stronger then he's gonna need to be broken down and rebuild to gain the strength he needs to complete his goals. And ours." Juno said with the last part being a whisper.
"So why are you really here Myra. I doubt your master would've brought you back unless it was for something important." Kurogiri asked cleaning out the empty glass that Juno had finished.
"I came to deliver All for One a present from our master. One I'm sure he will be pleased with." Myra said as she gave a sinister smile one that made Kurogiri shake a little and Juno laugh knowing what she was referring to.
Down below in the basement of the bar. Darkness was all that could be seen with the sudden light of a console illuminating the shallow abyss, before more lights began to flicker until one by one the large container was a light show. With the water being held back by the glass as all that could be seen in the light was a single thing. A large being held together by wires, tubes and chains as a monitor showed its heart still beating and the air bubbles signaling life. Though not one for saving as it slowly opened its eyes showing the golden slits that hungered for one thing.
Death.

And so that ends this chapter. With me setting up much more in terms of characters, the overall direction this will go and of course a set of what you guys think. As you have seen I have deleted most of the stories from my page with me now focusing on the three main ones I want to do, though Fox Killer will be having a remake with that already in the works as I want to finish one or two chapters, before releasing it. As for Master quest that will be having the last two chapters of the month, before I take a break from it and focus on the other two as I have been getting the three kind of mixed in a way.
