Refusal
Jamie's POV
I walk into my papa's classroom knowing he was going to be out since the full moon appeared last night. Fenir collected him before time came and he gave me a soft kiss on my cheek. When Snape walked in I just knew things were not going to be okay. When he went on a rant about how dangerous werewolves were I started getting angry. "You will write a paper on how to kill werewolves to be turned in when professor Lupin returns." Snape says. "Excuse me but I need to be given a different topic." I say. "No just because your father teaches this class doesn't mean you get special treatment Ms. Lupin." Snape says. "You know why I won't do it . This assignment is wrong." I say trying not to reveal my dad's secret. "You will do this and if you refuse again I will send you to see the head master and see how he feels about this." Snape says. "Fine but make sure my other father is there to hear why I refused you jerk." I say as I decided in for penny in for a pound. "Go to the headmasters office now." Snape yells. I grab my things and stomp away muttering about stupid assignments and rude gits.
Sirius's POV
When Dumbledore sends word that I need to come see him about Jamie being in trouble for refusal to do an assignment I was shocked. When I walked into the office and see my little girl so angry that her magic is basically crackling around the room. "Jamie please calm down and tell Daddy why you're so mad." I say "Ask that greasy git what he did." Jamie says as she points at Snape who looks furious that she said this about him. "I asked her to write a paper and she got angry and bratty." Snape says. "Liar. You asked the class to write a paper on how to kill werewolves. You know full well my papa and my mate are both werewolves. I asked for a topic change you got all pissy so I said no." Jamie says her magic barely being held back by Dumbledore's shield over Snape who looks almost terrified. "Snape you might hate me and Remus but why torture a child you just met. She isn't even a Gryffindor damn it Severus." I say as Jamie is close to crying. "She called me a jerk." Snape says. "I'll take the failing grade on that assignment but since I know you'll find a way to give me detention when I come to potions, I'll save you the trouble." Jamie says before flipping him the bird and walking away with tears in her eyes. "Lily was wrong about you being a forgiving person." I say before I chase after my daughter knowing exactly where she was headed.
Remus's POV
While I am sitting in the woods with the pack I smell Jamie and she smells sad so I run to the scent with Fenir on my heels. I dress as I get closer. "Jamie what are you doing here?" I ask her. "Snape tried to he tried to make me write ways to kill you and Fenir and I got in trouble so I made it worse." Jamie says as she clings to me crying and I hear Fenir growling cause Jamie crying isn't something he can handle. Sirius shows up moments later and says "Flipping the bird is not okay Jamie no matter who it is." he says before hugging her. "We will talk about your punishment later but you don't have to write that report either but you must write one about ways to get turned and the benefits of becoming a werewolf." I say to her as the sun sets. "Can I run with you tonight papa please?" Jamie begs. "Okay but transform now." I tell her She turns into her animagius form a small gray wolf. Fenir kept her by his side all night as he sniffed her and made sure she was safe. I'm glad she found a good mate. When the night was over I carried a sleeping Jamie to our quarters so she can get some sleep. I have the teachers send her work thru Harry as she sleeps in. When Jamie wakes up I have a talk with her and say "While I know you were angry I am proud you stood up for your loved ones. I am disappointed that you flipped your professor the bird and called him names. As punishment you must write an apology and read it in the great hall tomorrow at dinner." "Yes papa." she says before going to her room to write the letter that I know isn't going to be very nice.
The next night during dinner
Snape's POV
"Professor Snape I am going read you an apology letter that my fathers asked me to write and they both have no idea what I wrote." Jamie Lupin says as she walks up towards the head table. "Go ahead Ms. Lupin." I say amazed that Black and Lupin know what an apology is.
" Dear Professor Snape,
I would like to apologize for my harsh word and crude gestures from a couple of days ago. I let my anger get the better of me, but you made me angry so a lot of the blame is on you. I simply asked you to change an assignment that I had strong feelings against and you decided that your prejudice was more important than the feeling of a student. While I wish that I hadn't escalated things I am a child you are an adult in authority. I really am very sorry that since you hold a grudge against my fathers you pick a fight with me. What ever they did happened before I was even born. So get over it and yourself."
When Jamie walks away I glare at Lupin and Black as they look shocked at everything she had just read. "Snape we honestly had no idea what she wrote, but trust me if my daughter ever runs to me during a full moon with tears in her eyes again and says your name. I will be going to Azkaban for murder and I won't need a wand. Fenir says the same but I won't let him leave her alone like that." Lupin says his eye glowing gold.
Jamie's POV
When I got back to my table I feel a tug in my heart so I look up and see Fenir walk into the great hall. He strokes my cheek as he walks past when he reaches the head table he puts two scrolls in front of Snape and says "Jamie's homework with extra credit. Ways to kill werewolves along with spells that will weaken them. Also don't make her cry again." That man is so sweet yet dangerous. On the way out Fenir kisses me as Malfoy and the Slytherins stare at me in shock.
