CHAPTER 3

Years passed and stopped at 2011, when Al was working as a nurse in Ministry of health, Qatar, and Sheena was doing her masters in Burma. Al traced her through face book, and approached Sheena, thinking; now there was no one to disturb them. She could try and see, if Sheena still has it for Al.

Sheena had several stories, most of them leading to a desperate kiss, some of them even ending in bed. But she knew in all of these relationships, she was the one hitting on them. But Al made her feel special, as she tried to contact her and showed immense interest.

Back in 2011, Sheena has settled in her 1st year Masters. She has taken psychology for Nurses as her subject. Because she has done nursing in Bachelors, she had to take a continuation to her relevant subject.

Days were going on and she received a ping from Alisha (Al) on facebook. It didn't excite her much, but yes, since they had history together in their past, things quickly warmed up between them. They exchanged phone numbers soon.

Al - "Hey ! how are you"

Sheena - "I'v been well!how are you? ho w is the job? I heard you moved abroad. Good for you. Iam still stuck here in Burma"

Al - "Iam good. I like my job".

Sheena - "Oh yah? That's good. And iam pretty sure the pay is good."

Al - "Oh yes. Since iam a muslim, my parents never stopped me from grabbing an opportunity in a muslim country. We have parda system here. So, back at home , my parents feel safe. "

Sheena - "How long has it been since you started there? "

Al - "It has been six months. And what about you? When did you join your course?"

Sheena - "it has been 9 not in Kachin Region anymore.i moved up noth into a different place. Iam in Shan state. College is ok here I don't like the principal. She involves students too much and right now, she wants to squeeze all I can give her. I mean my potential. "

Al - "Oh!sounds terrifying. What about ? Pelina? Are you still with her?"

Sheena - "Ah! Err..she is with me"

Al - "You mean?"

Sheena - "She joined the course with me. We are room mates and .."

Al - "Yah okay! I wasn't expecting this,I mean I get – look - Will call you back. Looks like I need to get back to work."

Sheena - Err…okay!yah. we'll take soon. Bye.

Call disconnects!

Both of them drift back to thinking.

Alisha POV / thoughts

what the fuck?!why is Pelina with her? I understand they had their little romance in college, inspite of Pelina being our teacher. And now, they have been together? How serious can they be? So, it means, even after finishing our bachelors , they have been together, sticking up and now, they can even have a private love life. Just disgusting.

Sheenas POV/ thoughts

She disconnected as soon as I said about Pelina. Looks like she is disappointed with ehat I said. But, why should it matter to me . I cant just give up on pelina. Let Al get back to her senses. She will come around.

With these thoughts, both of them moved along to their own daily routines!

Pelina was the teacher which whom Shenna had a relationship back in their college days, right when she also had Al in her life for a while. But since Al and Sheena came to terms to leave each other, Sheena continued her relationship with had an age gap of 9 years. But, Sheena despite of all the rumours continued her relationship with Pelina, even after they finished their college.

Pelina was a separated woman from her husband and was seeing another man which is considered prostitution in countries like ours)

When Sheena first concentrated on her. None of her classmates liked Pelina being their teacher, because of her dark life. They all acted since she was their teacher. For Sheena, there was something she felt in Pelina and wanted to change. She approached her with a text message and knew that she would be at risk if pelina complains. But to her surprise, Pelina felt good for the first time, receiving some concerning message from a student, who is supposed to be intelligent and hard working in her class.

It was like a perk to Sheena. Their texting grew into phone calls; they exchanged looks whenever they crossed each other at the hostel. It was easier than it seemed. They were picking up moments like touching each other when they exchanged notes or registers or files. It was all going so well, Sheena thought.

Alisha came to see her in her hostel room .

Sheena - What is it ? we decided to stay away from each other

Alisha - Yes. I know here to talk about you and pelina

Sheena - Whats with that?

Al - What is wrong with you? Cant you see the rumors around and your own classmates disowning you? for your dirty relation with that woman?you will be losing all your friends and the good reputation you have in this college

Sheena - oh yah!iam aware of all that. People talked when you and I tried something. They will still talk if it is a teacher. Let them. Iam not loosing Pelina for anyone sake .

she made her point clear. Al left the room, shutting the door behind with a bang

Things were great and now Pelina is all the more in to Sheena .

Sheena received a text message early in the morning. Rubbing her eyes she thought it was from Pelina wishing her a good morning. But no. it was from an unknown number which made her face go pale.

It was from the man Pelina was seeing after she left her husband.
