Konohagakure was a bustling village in both populace and immensity wise, as it was considered the elitist and oldest shinobi village compared to Amegakure, Kirigakure, Kumogakure, Kusagakure, Sunagakure, Takigakure, Tsukigakure, Yugakure, and other villages that Shisui could list off the back of his head.
Uchiha Shisui loved Konoha from the bottom of his heart as he was willing to bleed and slaughter for his home. Uchiha Shisui loved the rivers, the trees, the mountain, the buildings, and the people who lived there too. Shisui loved the various clans, including Aburame, Akimichi, and Hyuga, who were noble clans much like his own. While Shisui loves his village, there are times when reality happens to settle in. In the stillness of the night, Shisui finds that silence says a lot more than you anticipate when you're alone.
It helps clear your head and sharpen your vision as pain becomes a clarity all on its own. Silence can be unforgivable too, as it allows the accusations you try to flee from to come back and burn you like a match to a candle flame. Shisui knows that children shouldn't be taught to be executioners. He knows it's wrong, but what choice did he, did anyone in his clan, in this whole village have if they wanted to keep living? All children were sent to the academy to be assessed for any potential they could have in the shinobi arts. Shisui's eyes briefly flicker to the diminutive meadowsweet-hued head of a young girl.
Civilians who showed potential were forced on that path without any warning or hand-held knowledge, like other shinobi raised children were given. Civilian parents were strong-armed into their children being turned into an assassin despite their protests. Civilian shinobi always tend to die first.
Uchiha Shisui honestly never put much thought into the Haruno clan at all considering it was a 'civilian melting pot', as others of his clan often stated with insult. In hindsight, he probably should have been paying proper attention to the clan called a 'melting pot' for an excellent reason.

Sure they had an ample amount of civilians in their clan (what clans didn't?) but their blood ties to the shinobi part were equally terrifying. Were people precisely that willfully ignorant or did they simply not know?
Haruno Kizashi, while done with his mandatory six-year conscription for Konoha's forces, never raised above the rank of Genin. Learning from the thick folder given to him about the Haruno's for his mission clearly indicated Kizashi was indolent, and while he had the means and necessary chakra control to be at least a high-level chunin or low-level jounin, he preferred not to. Shisui was super curious why this terrifying woman had so many blacked out information that could only be viewed by the Hokage himself. Basically, Shisui had another little Uchiha Itachi on his hands, only smaller and cuter. "Again, our sincerest apologizes for keeping you waiting, Uchiha-san." Kizashi sheepishly spoke as he carried his quiet child in his arms, which gave the opposite of bright coloring. "She tends to get lost in her stories and loses herself to how much time has passed. I expected she would be at the library, but she wasn't this time, oddly enough." He trailed off with bemusement.
Shisui gave a soft hum while inwardly he gave a dry chuckle as he wonders if perhaps Sasuke and this dainty girl had been swapped somehow while they both grew in their mother's wombs. "It's understandable, Haruno-san. I have a young cousin who is like those in antics as well. You allow him into the library, and he'll never leave unless you drag him out by his ear." He ended with a friendly chirp.
Haruno Mebuki tilted her head to the side as her eyebrows furrowed in deep thought as her husband allowed Sakura down, who immediately rushed over and clung tightly to her mother's hand. "I have forgotten you might be related to Mikoto." Her lips quirking up in a contented smile as she glanced down at Sakura, giving her hand a slight squeeze. "She has a little boy your age, Saku-chan."
Sakura only gave her mother a deadpanned expression that had Shisui swallow down his snicker because he truly wants to adopt this little child as his imouto. If Itachi can have a cute sibling, then why couldn't he? 'Shisui, that is kidnapping!' Shisui decides to ignore his friend's warning, because Hana-chan should stop giving him lectures by now, as he is relatively a splendid boy half the time now. "You know my cousin, Haruno-san?"
Shisui did not quite like the mischievous grin that painted itself across Haruno Mebuki's face, as it was eerily like his cousins when she was up to no good. It often ended with the other party either highly embarrassed or in pain. "Mikoto and I used to be on the same Genin squad when we were younger. Tell her I said hello and I want her to come visit me for tea. Five years without seeing her is simply too long for friends." She ended firmly, and Shisui's suppresses the lump of fear in his throat as he takes in her fanged teeth stretched into an even wider smile. 'Kami, I reckon I will be seeing you soon enough.' He foresaw as a shiver slithered down his back.
"Mebuki stop threatening the poor boy!" Kizashi mused out, and Shisui can hear his hidden laughter.
"I will let cousin Mikoto know, Haruno-san." Shisui mumbled before he turned to Sakura with twinkling eyes and a bright grin. "Hello, Haruno-chan! My name is Uchiha Shisui and I will be your protective escort during your stay in Kirigakure."
Haruno Sakura, in one word, appeared delicate and soft, much like the fancy porcelain dolls those young noble girls in the capital played with. She had creamy smooth skin, the color of warm vanilla, yet to scar, and peach-hued lips in a delicate cupid-bow shaped. Her hair was the color of sakura and meadowsweet flowers, and her eyes the color of coral jade gemstone. Haruno Sakura may seem like a harmless little girl, but Shisui's honed senses of flight or flee stated she was a threat as a shiver of warning went down his back when her eyes clashed with his charcoal-brown ones with clear assessment. "Please take care of us!" she chirped sweetly, allowing a sharp smile to show off her own baby shark teeth.
