So here we are, the final chapter. This may have been a short story but I liked writing it.
Enjoy the final chapter.
The sun was shining and the weather was beautiful for a weekend afternoon in spring. A group of kids were playing outside in the grass in front of a large house while a group of adults sat on the back porch steps watching the children. Two young orange-haired girls, one with a moderately tanned complexion, yellowish brown eyes, and messy hairstyle and another with dark skin, golden eyes, and a ponytail, were running around in the yard chasing each other. A teenage boy with spiky blue hair that gradually turned to orange at its tips and amber eyes flecked with brown specks roughhoused with a pair of boys his age, the first with a mildly dark skin tone, golden eyes like the girl with the purple ponytail, and short purple hair streaked with orange and the second with a light complexion, slightly curly green hair, and big brown eyes. To the side of the group, a short purple-haired, brown-eyed tween girl was wrestling with and completely annihilating a slightly younger dark-skinned girl with long green hair and eyes that were a mix of orange and brown. Two nearly identical preteen boys with medium-length blond hair, light complexions, and black eyes, who could only be told apart by a streak of orange in one of the boys' hair, were throwing a baseball with each other while a teenage girl with short, spiky blonde hair, a similar complexion to the boys throwing the ball, and blue eyes was drawing in a notebook and allowing a boy and girl of similar age to her to look over her shoulder, the boy having an undercut with the short hair on top of his head orange and the sides blond, teal eyes, and deeply tanned complexion and the girl possessing long blue hair, amber eyes, and a slightly pale tone to her skin.
The adults looked on as the kids continued their activities in the yard, simply content to relax and watch them. "Can you believe it's been twenty years since Ichigo first proposed to us? If someone would have told me before we first met him that the eight of us would be married to him and have children, I would have socked them in the jaw regardless of who they were. Of all the things that could happened, getting married and starting a family is something I never expected to happen. But I'm happy it turned out this way." said a certain mocha-skinned, purple-haired woman that still looked as great as she did during the time she went to Karakura High. Her fellow sister-wives, all looking even more beautiful than when they were in high school, all made their own versions of agreement heard as she voiced her happiness. Yoruichi smiled as she heard her husband's Saleen S7 pull into the driveway. "Ichigo's back." The strawberry blond man walked through the house to the porch and opened the door, greeting his loves with a peck on their cheeks.
Ichigo said to them, "Hello ladies. How was today?" as he sat down in the middle of them and watched as his kids interacted with each other, which brought a smile to his face.
"It was nice, Ichi. How was the race today? How's Yuji doing?" Fu answered and asked two questions of her own.
"Yuji's doing well, the race went smoothly. Some of the other racers were starting to get a little cocky since they think the two of us are old news, they tried taunting Yuji by blocking him from passing but it didn't really make a difference as he exploited their mistakes and won with ease. We may be in our forties but there's no way we are done just yet. I mean, we still look to be in our twenties, not to mention our lives are going to last a lot longer than normal humans." explained Ichigo.
A lot had changed since the day Ichigo had first started dating the eight women. He and Yuji continued to race in the league they participated in and his girlfriends went to races whenever they had the opportunity to watch them. Eventually, Ichigo met a man named Ginjo Kugo who had an offer for the Strawberry. He didn't trust the guy as Ginjo had seemingly appeared out of nowhere so he cautiously expressed interest in the man's offer, which turned out to be one for Ichigo to regain power to protect his family again, in order to keep an eye on him. One thing led to another and the teen soon found out about that Ginjo was part of a group called Fullbringers, humans with powers that were caused by an attack on their mothers when they were pregnant with them, and joined to see what exactly they wanted with him. He gained his own set of Fullbringer abilities, but it resulted in a series of attacks from a "rogue" Fullbringer that caused his girlfriends and Kisuke to get involved and the shifty shopkeeper to reveal Ginjo's identity as the first Substitute Soul Reaper and Samui, Konan, Yugito, Fu, and Anko to reveal their newly-gained powers of ice manipulation, paper manipulation, catlike abilities, flight and insect manipulation, and serpentine abilities respectively. The so-called rogue tried to flip the script on the group by revealing the rest of the Fullbringers, including Ginjo, to be on his side and that they wanted Ichigo's new powers for themselves, also explaining the true purpose of his Combat Pass, but the former second Substitute already had an idea of what it did and told them he would deal with it when it was necessary, defeating them quite handily by tapping into his reserves of Cursed Energy and vessel abilities and killing Ginjo who expressed regret at his actions and wondered what it would have been like if things had been different for the both of them.
Unfortunately, an envoy from the Soul Society arrived about the time he killed Ginjo and gave him his Soul Reaper powers back. When his powers fully returned, he was pissed at their "timely" arrival and dismissal of him because of his lack of powers. When Ichigo finally returned to the Soul Society and maet with the captains, he calmly expressed his anger to them at being considered someone too unimportant for anyone to even visit or check up on, as well as his disappointment at Captain Ukitake's lack of trust in him, telling them they needed to become trustworthy to him again if they ever wanted a chance at reconciliation with him. Soifon made her grievances known to him about how he should be grateful that he even had his powers back to begin with, he simply told her that he didn't understand what Yoruichi saw in someone as arrogant, conceited, prideful, and untrusting as her or care what she thought because she was basically the lapdog of the Central 46, adding that those so-called nobles had no claim to power except for being in the Seireitei and their wealth and status, and would gladly trample over the citizens of the Rukon District if it meant filling their pockets and keeping their power. Before Ichigo left the Soul Society, he said he would not contact or talk to any of them except for the Soul Reapers he felt would never abandon or disregard him, which was a very short list and included the ones he knew he could trust or hadn't talked to much, Rukia was not on that list. He never told them about Sukuna as they would most likely turn on him if they knew about the Cursed Spirit being incarnated inside him.
Soon the group graduated from high school and entered university. Things pretty much stayed the same, Ichigo and Yuji would kill Cursed Spirits, the Strawberry and his loves would also purify Hollows, all while trying to get through college and keeping up with the two boys' racing careers. They soon graduated college and Ichigo proposed to all of them on the Christmas after graduation, giving all of them their own unique rings. Luckily, Japan had a law that made polygamy legal as long as the participants were willing and put through a careful screening process to check if there was any reason that the marriage should not be allowed, thus controlling the total number of people with multiple spouses. They married in a private ceremony allowing close friends and family to attend. By then, Isshin had already regained some of Ichigo's trust after a heartfelt apology and was on the path to being forgiven, however, Ichigo couldn't bring himself to stay mad at his sisters and forgave them within a relatively short time. Chad, Uryu, and Orihime slowly regained his friendship, though Chad was the one out of the three that Ichigo had the most trust in at the moment because he had been his closest friend for so long, and while it wasn't quite the level of trust they had before the loss of his powers, it was still better than how much Ichigo felt he could rely on Orihime and Uryu, and Chad was close to being forgiven. The Quincy and Substitute maintained a slightly loose association with each other with Ichigo keeping him at an arm's length at times, though that was to be expected, but it was improving, albeit slowly, mostly due to Uryu knowing about his familial relations with Ichigo and feeling guilty about practically abandoning a family member. He could not fully trust Orihime anymore, however. She eventually got over the fact that he would never be hers, but she had been afraid of him in Las Noches and he wasn't sure she would ever go back to being at ease around him, so he kept their relationship purely professional.
The new family moved into the old Bount mansion that Kisuke had helped repair and restore. Pretty soon, Yoruichi, Nel, and Samui became pregnant around the same time, the Shihoin princess giving birth to a boy named Yushiro, named after her brother, the True Vizard giving Ichigo a son named Bruno, and the large-chested woman bringing Masaki, her daughter who was named after Ichigo's late mother, into the world a few weeks after Bruno was born. Six months after Yoruichi and Samui were with child, Konan gave birth to twins, a boy named Kazui and a girl named Kohana. A month after that, Tia's son, Lyndon, was born. Because of the influx of young infants and toddlers, the family had to have Kisuke make some adjustments to the mansion as they knew that the rest of the girls wanted children as well. Four years after Lyndon was born, Yugito had twins, Ryo and Ryu, as well, both identical except for Ryu's orange streak in his hair. A couple of months later, Anko's daughter, Emiko, was born and Katsumi, Fu's daughter, followed three weeks later. Three more years went by and the last two Kurosaki children, Yoruichi's second child, a girl named Rei, and Tia's second kid, a girl named Mila after one of her former Fraccion, were born a month apart. No more children were born after Mila as they had their hands full enough already.
Ichigo's racing career took off and he and Yuji started getting invites to some of the biggest races in the world as guests. At a certain point in their career, they decided to open up a auto shop for tuning and body modifications, which quickly became a popular spot for racers to get their rides fixed and modified and soon become a highly successful and lucrative enterprise that got bigger and bigger and forced them to expand and open up new shops, attracting a lot of high level pro racers from Japan and other nations who wanted their rides tuned, though the two never gave up the blueprints for or anything regarding the energy converter that Kisuke built them so long ago. That was something they would allow no one else to use, although the other racers wouldn't be able to use it in the first place since they had no Spirit Energy or Cursed Energy of their own to being with. Each of the girls got successful jobs that they enjoyed and paid them well, and when added to the large amount of money the two men had earned over time from their "extracurricular activities", the money won from racing, and their business earnings, the family would never have to worry about being poor or strapped for cash ever.
Ichigo smiled at seeing his kids mess around in the yard. "You know, at seventeen, I was not thinking about who I would settle down with, whether I would have kids or not, or how I wanted my life to turn out. But I can safely say this is everything I could hope for. I love you girls, and I always will. Don't ever forget that." he proclaimed to his wives, who all hugged him in response.
"We love you too, Ichigo. Now come on, Yuji and his family are coming over later and I want to have some time with the kids." his snake-summoning wife said to him lovingly as she kissed him on the cheek and got up to horse around with the children, her fellow sister-wives following suit.
Ichigo chuckled as he did the same, his last thought before joining in the roughhousing being, 'If you're watching us from down there, Mom, thank you for giving me the strength to be the person I am. Even though you're no longer here, I'm sure you'd be happy at seeing me grown-up and with a loving family. I love you, Mom.' As if the heavens could hear him, the sun shined brighter, smiling down on the happy family and giving them the feeling of a loving mother watching them down from above.
Everything was just as the family wanted it, and they couldn't be happier because of it.
Well that took a long time to do. Who each of the children are should be obvious since I tried to match some of their traits with their mothers. But this was definitely a refreshing change from Power of Three. Who knows, this may turn into a actual project of mine someday when Jujutsu Kaisen has been completed, definitely not for a while though.
Thank you guys for reading and do read and review but no flaming please.
Crash, out.
