What is this?
For some reason I find myself in a long blank hallway, the walls to my sides and floor under my feet made out of a pearl white glass material, my footsteps echoing throughout the the hallway in its entirety in which I happened to find myself in. I can tell that I am larger than I was before, human perhaps? I do not know. I find a strange contrast of the sounds coming from the floor below, I don't feel like I'm physically putting in the effort to step nor am I actually feeling the floor below, so why am I exactly? I feel strangely calm.. as if I'm taking a warm bath.
Is.. is this a dream?
It doesn't really feel like one exactly, this experience feels way too real for me being here to end up being a dream, and as I say this my body continues to move forward on its own as if it has a mind of its own, this doesn't seem to be a dream, but if this isn't then.. what is this place?
If I could control my body properly I'd be hyperventilating right now, I don't like this, I just.. get this visceral feeling that even being anywhere near this hallway is just wrong, no that's an understatement, as if this place in its entirety shouldn't even exist.
I hate this.

My body keeps moving through this seemingly endless hallway, the pearl white reflecting light despite the fact there's no sources of it in here, bah whatever this is a dream who cares? Well I do apparently. I feel my steps continue to echo throughout the corridor, the end of it beginning to come into sight as a singular set of double doors, a feeling of strange nostalgia wafts over my mind as I stare at the pair, where have I been here before? I.. I don't remember ever being here so this feeling can't be accurate.

My body approaches the door, its majesty made out of a dark hardwood and lined with deep brass accents on the far corners of the doors frame, different sigils and symbols with meaning, and said meaning floods into my psyche almost immediately in sight of me.

Alright so just about everything about this door thingy is basically telling me to piss off immediately, Surprising? No. Worrying? Oh god yes. Is my hand still reaching for the door handle despite me not wanting it to? Also god yes! Oh yeah speaking of, Stop.. moving hand!
I try my hardest to stop moving my hand towards the door handle, and right as I do my hand begins to slow down its reach, yes.. yes! Come on don't be stupid and open this damn door, it's not worth it trust me! Uh... me I guess?
Eventually the hand will come to a stop completely and I finally am able to get my bearings, so currently I am stuck in a hallway that I can assume to be a dream or vision of some sort, but why am I here exactly? This.. wait, this could be a vision quest of some sort! But why would the markings on the door have such edgy warnings if that was the case?
If not a Vision Quest, then.. maybe a vision of the future? But again, why would it be for me of all people? Why were we reincarnated out of everyone in our class?! We're not anyone special just..

My head begins to pound in agony, the beating of my heart pounding deep inside my own mind, I... what was I talking about again?
Oh right the Vision Quest thing! I must have lost my train of thought for a moment, jeez.. wait, since when was my hand on the doorknob again?

My hand stays on the doorknob, and I feel a strange relief set over me as I am able to tense and loosen my hold on it, but what point is there in doing that? What will I find on the other side of this door? Will.. I get my memories back? No you goddamn idiot! Didn't you not want to grasp it because of the warnings you spotted earlier?!
That's right, I shouldn't do this I..
What am I doing?
I let go of the doorknob and take a step back, my body now fully being in my control now it seems and I turn around to get away, I have to escape this place before whatever feeling I got before sets in once more for some reason. What lies before me in the direction away from the door is a direction of light, this must be the way out of this place! I take a non existent breath and will my now controlled body to move. Sprinting with all my might, slamming my feet into the ground and begin running as fast as my strange ethereal feet can take me for now. I do not glance at the glass walls beside me or the floor below, only forward towards the light that I hope is the only way out of this strange place, I don't even care if it's a dream or not.
I go forward towards the light even more until I am right in front of it, reaching my hand forward in desperation towards it.. I'm so close, come on, come on!
And just as I am about to reach it, I am frozen in place as the light fades away, and not long after that everything fades away, and I am left in nothing but a total void of pure unrestrained darkness.
Multiple pairs of hands grasp my shoulder, their cold fingers like cold ice against my.. skin? I don't know at this point, my self musing is interrupted as a voice is heard whispering right into my ear, its voice masculine yet feminine at the same time, the different tones being mixed together in a cacophony of voices speaking as a singular entity.

I wake up with a startle and have a look around myself, scanning around my bedroom as I reach towards my axe-

I keep running with my bag slung around my shoulder, making past a couple people "Sorry, coming through!" I'd say as I bump past them, different shouts of protest and annoyance heard by me as I run past.

Rubbing my head for a bit as I reach for the axe-torch(?) I made a couple days before, looking at it and cringing slightly at the desigh.
"This thing looks like ass.." I try to mutter to myself, but the only thing I and any possible observer would hear would be simple high pitched primate grunts grunts.

Ah well, it's the only one I have so I may as well use it, maybe grind some levels up?
Alright then, let's get this show on the road!
What I need to do first though is find a proper place to actually slay some monsters, and as terrifying as that is I need the exp to better survive the outside.
Why to survive the outside you ask? Well if we think of it like this, we need to think of what forced these different monsters down here to begin with, the spiders make sense because of the dark and other insects, but at the same time what would cause its prey and other huge ass creatures to be forced down here?
The only answer is that there's something really big and really powerful out of this cave, and I'll be damned if I'm not going to be prepared for it!
Ahem, now for actual prey..
I could go for one of those spiders again, but am I really sure about doing that? I don't know if continuing to hunt the spall fry will anger mother dearest, which would be very bad for me in the long run.
On the other hand though there's also the frogs, never tried frog legs myse- ah wait I don't have any means to make a fire..

Hrmph, that annoying note aside, I need to go look for at least one other creature to hunt, maybe one of those snakes again? I could harvest its scales to make pseudo-clothing.

I rest my axe on my shoulder and immediately begin to head out, walking down and up the different corridors of the cave in search of the armless & legless reptile. As I keep going though I notice in the darkness something moving, wait a minute.. come on eyes just adjust slightly more.

Anyways, now that the new skill has been attained I am now able to see exactly what was moving, it being a small lizard with quite big eyes, aww look at it, reminds me of my old pet liza-

Activating [Anger] and [Strength] unknowingly, I zoom towards the lizard, slamming my axe down towards its small frame and cleaving it in half!
..At least, that's what should have happened.
What happened instead was it using its petrification on my axe to make it turn into mostly stone, the now brittle wood bits on the handle breaking off the actual blade as the lizard jumps to the side as a simple dodge.
...
Usually I would be surprised, but due to the [Anger] skill I continued to chase it, eventually able to grab it by its tail and slam it into the stone floor repeatedly until it became a red flesh smoothie on a plate.
Though not before it gets another few looks in, multiple patches of my fur and skin turned into rock for my efforts.
"Fuck.." I collapse onto my ass, exhausted.

I instantly bite back a scream of agony as I feel the skin that was turned into stone force itself off me, the fleshy sounds of it being forced off of my body as scar tissue takes its place, the tearing of skin and flesh echoing through the cavern I found myself in as the now scarred over wounds are exposed.

"Come on... get up.." I growl to myself as I shakily stand up fully, phantom pains and numbed sensations still there as I begin to continue my journey.

As the Reincarnation known as "Ryu" continued to march off to another area in the upper stratum caverns, a being clad in black steel armour would be watching the small monkey scamper around to look for a snake.
He did not know how such an.. anomaly came into existence, he knew about the other anomalies came to be thanks to D's meddling in that other dimension of hers, but this seemed similar, but also.. different?
He would find his brows furrowing, this 'Glitch' didn't seem to be a threat for now, but he will note this for any future problems that may arise.

I was hoping to find a snake in this bit since it seemed more above ground-like, but seeing humans might be more fun!

Ignoring the human footprints in the gravel, I continue forth and make my way through the cave, seeing different monsters of different sizes on the way.

I yelp in alarm, the hell was that?! Jerking my head towards the sound I freeze like a deer in headlights when I see a woman in silver armour staring at me, long dark hair tied into a pony-tail with Lilac eyes. Oh she's scowling at me, what did I do wrong in this situation exactly?

I split from the rest of my party mates to go have a quick patrol, it would be unfortunate for us to be ambushed by a beast while they had their guards down.
Such fools, we're in the middle of a dungeon and they want to dawdle throughout the entire journey in this Labyrinth.
"Hrmph, well, it won't be my problem if they get themselves killed.." I mutter to myself, being lost in thought for a moment until I turn the corner.
Oh, just a humanoid looking monster, one of the hairy ones it seems.
"Tch.." Those ones were always annoying, kill one, and the rest of its pack will keep coming at you until either you or the entirety of the pack is gone. Tough luck too when an average pack of these types of Mammal monsters are in the hundreds at least.
Alright, I suppose it would be best to just step away and leave it alone before it notices me-

I hear her shout something in a language I don't understand, speak Japanese you weird bitch and stop chasing me!

As I keep running I grab the lizard and use [Throw] duelled with [Strength] to chuck it at her at full might towards her
I hear screaming of pain as the thrown lizard uses its eyes to turn part of her face into stone

After escaping the knightess, I eventually make my way home once more, shambling towards my home in exhaustion.

Great, I'm starving and all I have is a bunch of spider corpses that are beginning to rot to eat.
Ah well, can't complain I guess, time to get this over with!

I immediately reach to my sword as I sit up, but hiss in pain as my wounds sting, after the furred beast through the small lizard that turned part of my face into stone, I had to fight through multiple other beasts to get further into the labyrinth. I was slashed, stabbed, and clawed but I eventually found the damned beast crouched near an underwater lake, I'd be in awe at the visuals normally but my anger blinded me to attack it. After beginning to attack it though I began to feel weak from my previous wounds and then I.. passed out.
Wait.. I should be dead right now, why didn't I bleed out?
..Don't tell me that fucking beast used my-
I would be about to check when I feel a sudden draft against my skin

This is a pretty sick sword, not going to lie.

This is where I got chased by those spiders! Now this brings back memories, maybe I can yoink my shield.

In the cave indentation that I stuffed into, I see simple shards of broken wood and vines that were the remnants of my shield.
..Something smashed this thing like it was nothing, I mean sure, the shield was pretty ass but I'm sure it would keep up with a bunch of simple spiders.
..I'm getting out of here, I feel something off about this area for some reason.
I suppose try to go back through the area that I nearly died in when I was born, I could get much more action there.

Wooooo boy, that took a lot of work!
Sorry for such a delay, kept you waiting huh?
I had an awful case of writers block for a good while and had to juggle school on top of it, so I was only just able to finish the chapter now.
On the bright side though I am feeling a lot more pumped, because of two reasons mainly.
1. I have two more fanfictions in the works that I intend to work on after this chapter, the prologues for them both at least.
2. I had an epiphany of where to take this story after a good while and I got a lot happier to continue after this.
Anyways, there's one more thing I'd like to say before signing off
I need beta readers.
I looked through my last two chapters and noticed a few errors in the wording that I felt dissatisfied with, so I'd like to ask for one if anyone would be interested!
