Missing Princess
The Pharaoh chuckled silently at the worried tutors, scholars, and guards panicking trying to find the princess.
"Do not worry Pharaoh! We will find her!" they promised before rushing out of the throne room, leaving the Pharaoh completely alone.
Averting his eyes away from the doors, the Pharaoh scanned the room to make sure he was alone before he lifted his robes up.
Lifting her head up, aquamarine eyes gazed into his red ones. The small girl sent him a small smile.
"Hiya Papa." she nervously said.
The Pharaoh's eyes softened at his daughter's small form. Seeing her hiding beneath his robes besides his throne made him remember the memories of himself. He would also hide beneath his father's robes to escape his tutors and lessons.
Oh she truly was his daughter.
This was her hiding place ever since she could crawl. Now, she was of six summer years of age.
"Oh Anippe," the Pharaoh began with a chuckle. Lifting his daughter up onto his lap, he poked her nose lightly, "You are in so much trouble young lady."
Scrunching her nose in disgust, Anippe crossed her arms as she replied, "I'll take my punishment gladly. I can't stand-"
"Please calm down Ammon. The princess will be found-" Mahad entered the throne room alongside a ten summer year old boy.
The blonde hair boy was about to reply to Mahad when his falcon eyes landed on the princess.
"There you are Anippe!" he hissed, glaring at her.
The boy, Ammon, bowed before the Pharaoh before pointing his finger at the young girl.
"Come along now Anippe. For your fault on cutting your lessons, scaring half the palace with your disappearance, and making me lose class time, we will be assigned triple the homework!" Ammon scowled at the princess.
"But Ammon!"
"But nothing! Come along now!"
Ammon crossed his arms and waited for the princess to leave her father's embrace.
"Goodbye Papa." she whispered before making her way towards her tutor.
"Unbelievable, you ought to know better by now!" Ammon scowled at Anippe as they walked away from Atem and Mahad.
Mahad was ready to tell Ammon to stop being so hard on the princess when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"He reminds me of you when you were of that age." the Pharaoh teased. Both men watched the young boy drag the princess by the arm as she begged not to go to lessons.
Mahad glared at his Pharaoh, gasping, "I beg your pardon? I was certainly not like him!"
Atem could only laugh at his best friend's remark as he heard a small explosion outside the throne room.
"Your training has been improving HMM?" Ammon mockingly yelled.
"Shut up!" Anippe shouted back at him.
Mahad groaned whereas Atem burst out laughing.
