Ugh! This took me a month and a helve to finish this chapter! And it's so long that I need to split it up into two parts so I hope you enjoy it because the prologue is four chapters instead of three. Anyway I really enjoyed working on this because I'm trying to improve my writing anyway after this chapter I will be taking a break from this story to work on My Life in despair school and hopefully start working on Darkness in the City again I need to finish that story big time anyway enjoy the chapter.

Chapter 3:Meeting the Ultimate? Students Part One

"This session of Danganronpa is brought to you by… Monokuma for all your despair-inducing needs. And to viewers like you, thank you, you bunch of sickos. Ahahahahaha!" Monokuma laughed,

"Ahhh, it's starting! Danganronpa viewing positions!" Usami yelled as everyone took their seats.

"I've got the popcorn," Hiro said,

"And I've got the soda pop and donuts. You can't have a movie night without them." Hina said,

"And I've got my lovely scissors! Just wait till I get my hands on that mastermind. I'll slice them and dice them and turn them into a living paper doll! Kyahahahahaha!" Genocide Jill laughed madly.

"Achoo, oh sorry about that. Seasonal allergies." Toko said, wiping her nose.

"Come on, Toko. You can sit next to me." Komaru said, patting a spot next to her as Toko to her seat next to her girlfriend.

"Our story begins with our brand-new protagonist Kaede Akamatsu, the Ultimate Pianist. Little does she know she's about to have the most despair-inducing time of her life." Monokuma narrated as Kaede stepped out of the locker for the second time.

"So, the game begins for real this time. Don't fail, Dakota. we've counted on you." Kyoko said as everyone watched Kaede and Shuichi meet again and getting introduced to the Monokubs. Meanwhile, Amy awoke from her sleep.

"Ugh, what happened? Did I fall asleep?" She groaned, rubbing her eyes.

"Seems like it, we all blacked out after being exposed to that weird light," Hajime explained, typing on a keyboard.

"What are you doing?" Emily asked, waking up from her slumber,

"After I blacked out, a whole day passed, we're behind schedule. If I don't hack into this soon, we'll never be able to break into the school without Monokuma's interference, so I figured I better get to work. Oh, by the way, you better see if Dakota and Nagito are awake yet. They fell asleep like the rest of us." Hajime explained, not taking his eyes off the screen.

"Oh, that's right. I better see if they're okay." Amy remembered calling us with her earpiece, "Dakota, Nagito, come in, you two. Dakota? Nagito? Can either of you hear me?"

I was startled awake after hearing Amy's voice, and the first thing I noticed was that I was back in the A/V room with Nagito lying on me.

"Huh, oh yes, Amy. I read you. Nagito, wake up." I said, shaking him.

"What, Dakota, what's going on? what are we doing back here?" Nagito asked drowsily rubbing his eyes,

"No idea. But I guess they decided to drag us back here to hide the fact they messed up the script." I guessed, standing up and looking around the room.

"Not a bad idea. I hope we don't run into these bears anytime soon." Nagito grimaced as I helped him up,

"Focus, you two. You to find the others again. They should be safer now that the game has begun. You should have no problems with exploring the school now." Amy explained,

"Got it, Amy. We'll keep you posted on who we find," I said, about to leave when Hajime stopped me.

"Hold on. The others might not remember who you are anymore. If that light was what I think it was, then you'll need to pretend your meeting for the first time. We need you to fit in until we get a better grasp on the situation." Hajime explained remember past experiences,

"Thanks for the reminder. I'll keep that in mind when meeting everyone again," I said, opening the door,

"Okay, we sense no danger. You should be fine to leave now." Chiaki said, and we took that as our cue to leave. As Nagito and I left the A/V room, I realized my backpack felt heavier.

"Huh, what's this?" I asked, reaching inside and pulling out what looked like an I pad.

"It's called a Monopad. I'm assuming we all have one." A short man explained. I looked down at him and realized his voice did not match his looks.

"Who are you?" I asked,

"Ryoma Hoshi, the man called the Ultimate Tennis Pro… No longer exist. I'm nothing more than his empty shell." He explained,

"What happened to you. Are you on the run or something?" Nagito questioned,

"That's a long story. I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. Long story short, I took out an entire mafia with my tennis skills and an iron ball." Ryoma explained,

"An entire mafia all by yourself!? Gotta admit that's pretty impressive for a man your age." I said in awe,

"Impressive, humph. That's the last thing I would say if I were you. I was imprisoned for years after that stunt. I lost some of the closest people to me thanks to that group. There's nothing left for me. But, being stuck here is better than being stuck there." Ryoma reasoned, turning away from us.

"Wait, you were imprisoned? That's some bad luck. If I were a cop, I'd be rewarding you for stopping those fiends." Nagito chuckled,

"Humph, you win some, you lose some kid…" He stated, "That reminds me, who are you two? I haven't seen anyone other than myself around here." Ryoma inquired,

"Oh, my name is Dakota Natalie Ultimate Performer. It's nice to meet you." I greeted, "And this is my boyfriend, Nagito Komeada. The Ultimate Lucky Student."

"Hey, it's nice to meet The Ultimate Tennis Pro. Maybe we could do a one on one sometime." Nagito offered,

"Forget it. I haven't touched a racket since the incident. I've sworn never to play a game again. It was nice meeting you, but I think I should continue looking around. I'm sure I'll see you around." The so-called Tennis Pro said, leaving.

"Well, he sure was something," I said,

"Yes, but I don't think he's a bad person, maybe a little traumatized but nothing we haven't dealt with before." Nagito replied, "Hey Amy, make a note on Ryoma. I would like to know a little more about this incident he talked about."

"I'm already on it. I'm sure I can get some tabs on him." Amy said, typing on her laptop.

"So, where should we go, huh." I said, looking into the library seeing a girl standing by herself.

"What's wrong, Dakota?" Nagito questioned,

"There's someone in there." I said, heading inside to greet a girl with long brown hair tied into twin tails, and she was wearing a black skirt and a red blouse.

"Hi, my name is Dakota Natalie, the Ultimate Performer." I greeted.

"And I'm Nagito Komeada, the Ultimate Lucky Student. What's yours?" He asked,

"Maki Harukawa… Ultimate Child Caregiver." She said plainly,

"Nice to meet you, Maki," I said, holding out my hand, but she didn't shake it.

"She sure doesn't talk much, does she?" I whispered to Nagito.

"Sounds like someone else we know." He replied, thinking of Kyoko,

"I can hear you; you know." Maki snapped.

"Sorry, Maki." We Apologized

"It's okay. I get it. I don't look like someone who'd like kids, do I?" She questioned calmly.

"I wouldn't say that I've met tons of people whose talents don't match their looks. You might be tough on the outside, but I'm sure you're a sweet-hearted softy on the inside." I replied cheerfully.

"Are you always so blindly positive?" Maki wondered, closing her eyes,

"What do you mean by that?" I replied in surprise,

"Because I don't like kids that much. I grew up in an orphanage, so I always got stuck looking after them, yet they attached themselves to me. Everyone always tells me I have my way with them, but they're a nuisance to me. Anyway, is this conversation over yet? You got my name. Isn't there someone else you can, brother?" Maki asked, slightly irritated.

"I guess you're right. We do have some other places to check. Nice meeting you." I said as Nagito, and I left.

"Yeah, Nice meeting you too, I guess. Something tells me we'll be seeing each other a lot." Maki said dryly,

"Well, she seemed a little cold. Wasn't Maki the one who told us about what happened during the auditions?" I asked as I remembered seeing her before

"Yes, I think she was. She didn't seem much different back then. Then again, we didn't have the time to properly introduces ourselves. But we should keep an eye on her in case she was a victim of memory eraser." Nagito said as we walked up the stairs.

"You know Maki seems a little suspicious." Emily cut in.

"Why do you say that?" I replied,

"She doesn't look anything like a child caregiver. If I were a mom, I wouldn't trust her to look after my kids." Emily explained, crossing her arms.

"Well, to be fair, we don't trust you to look after kids' ether." Mimi pointed out with a smug smile.

"Okay, you got me there, but I still think Maki was hiding something. When we make our move, I'm questing her first." Emily said, getting fired up.

"Patience Emily, first we need to get into the academy," Hajime replied, glancing at her.

"Don't worry, guys. We'll keep an eye on the students. Nagito, we need to find Kaede and Shuichi before we do anything else. They could help us widen our search." I said,

"I don't think we'll be looking for very long. I found them." Nagito said, pointing to them talking to a blue-haired girl.

"There they are. Hello, you two." I greeted,

"Oh, look, there's another one. Hi, I'm Kaede Akamatsu Ultimate Pianist, and this is Shuichi Saihara, the Ultimate Detective." She greeted,

My eyes shot open at that. Shuichi was the Ultimate Detective, just like his Aunt Kyoko but what really shocked me was that it contradicted what everyone said at the beginning, how they didn't have ultimate talents.

Hello? Are you listening to me? I just introduced myself to you." The blue-haired girl asked,

"Oh, sorry. What was your name again?" I replied hastily, feeling as if I was being rude.

"I'm Tsumugi Shirogane. The Ultimate Cosplayer. It's nice to meet you two." She greeted.

"Oh, that's right. I never introduced myself. I'm Dakota Natalie, the Ultimate Performer." I said,

"And I'm Nagito Komeada, the Ultimate Lucky Student. I must admit I've never met an Ultimate Cosplayer before. It's nice to see young people like you taking an interest." He stated,

"I know, right! Because I'm so plain most people think I'm all talk and no game. But to me, cosplay isn't about looking the part. It's also about knowing your character and getting in their shoes. Also, you need a lot of money for the best materials, but I don't have to worry about that. I've gathered quite the following throughout the years." Tsumugi rambled brightly. "Oh, I'm starting to ramble again. I'm sorry about that. Whenever I talk about cosplays, I can't stop myself." The cosplayer said, resting her arm on her cheek.

"It's okay, Tsumugi. It just shows your passionate about your talent. I hope we can get along and become great friends." I reassured,

"I hope so too. It's been a while since I've met people who have talent like me. Let's talk later. Maybe we can cosplay together?" Tsumugi suggested an excited twinkle in her eye.

"Um, we'll see about that. We still need to meet everyone else Kaede, Shuichi, would you like to accompany us?" Nagito asked,

"Sure, I would love to. Come on, Shuichi." Kaede said, taking his hand.

"Um, O-Okay." He stuttered, blushing a light pink.

"So, how many people have you met yet?" I wondered,

"Not many. We've met these teddy bears who call themselves the Monokubs. But other than Tsumugi, we haven't seen anyone else." Kaede recapped,

"Hmm, interesting. Did you find anything noteworthy?" I inquired,

"Yeah, see that door over there. Apparently, it's an Ultimate lab that one is supposed to be mine, but it's not opened yet." Kaede explained,

"Sounds like they're going all out for this season." Nagito muttered, "By the way. We haven't had a chance to look around as well. Mind if we join you?" He asked,

"Sure, I don't mind. Maybe we can find the way out together. Come on, you guys." Kaede said, leading the way.

"Well, we found our protagonist." I noted.

"And she's a girl too. That's a first." Nagito added,

"Hey, I'm a girl! and I've been the protag for about three killing games now!" I exclaimed angrily,

"Oh, right, sorry about that. It's hard to keep track sometimes." Nagito laughed, making my anger melt away, and I broke into laughter as well.

"Hey, you two?! What's the holdup?! Let's go!" Kaede called out.

"Coming, Kaede." We replied, running up to them.

Now that we had a better chance to look around, I never realized how abandoned the school looked. There were grass and plants all over the walls and floor, and the windows were boarded up with barbed wire.

"Amy was right. This place has been abandoned for a long time." I whispered,

"It seems like whoever is doing this didn't have enough time to do landscaping." Nagito replied,

"Does this mean the show was rushed?" I wondered, taping my chin with my finger.

"Or maybe it's the gimmick." Nagito thought aloud.

"Hmmm, looks like we're going to need more clues," I replied, looking around and wondering what was really going on. We continued walking down the hall when Kaede suddenly stopped in front of the bathrooms.

"Hey, can you wait out here for a minute?" Kaede asked,

"Sure, do you need to go?" I asked,

"No, I just wanted to look around. Maybe someone's in there." She replied,

"I'll come with you, Shuichi, Nagito. Why don't you check the other one." I suggested,

"Sounds like a plan." Nagito replied heading inside the boy's bathroom with Shuichi.

Kaede and I went inside, and it was a standard ordinary bathroom.

"Looks like no one's here. I don't see anything out of the ordinary." I reported,

"Yeah, I guess we wasted our time. Sorry, Dakota. I thought we would find something." Kaede apologized sadly, rubbing her head in embarrassment.

"It's okay, Kaede. A good leader always checks the nooks and crannies whenever they can." I reassured her.

"I guess your right. Thanks, Dakota. That makes me feel much better." Kaede replied we left the bathroom just as Nagito and Shuichi did.

"There you two are. Did you find anything?" I asked,

"Nope, it was just an empty bathroom, nothing noteworthy." Shuichi reported,

"Same thing for us. Nothing special." Kaede replied,

"Hey, were you kidnapped too." A voice asked casually. I looked around and saw it was Rantaro.

"Hi there. Are you an Ultimate too?" Kaede greeted.

"I think so. To tell you the truth, I can't remember my talent at the moment. Hey, do any of you remember how we got here?" Rantaro questioned,

"Nagito and I were knocked out and transported here." I answered,

"Oh, so you do remember, I wonder if the same is true for all of us?" He wondered aloud,

"Hey, if you don't remember how we got here, can you at least tell us your name?" Kaede asked,

"Oh, right, my name is Rantaro Amami. I can't remember my Ultimate talent at the moment, but I promise you I'm not a bad guy. Nice to meet ya." Rantaro greeted.

"I believe that. You're not the first person who lost their memory and talent. My ex-boyfriend lost his too. But it turns out he was just a normal guy who had no talent whatsoever. He was a part of my old high school's Reserve Course, but I still loved him." Nagito explained,

"That's not what you told me when you found out. If I remember correctly, you told me I'm a hopeless, boring, talentless Reserve Course student." Hajime recalled remembering Nagito's behaver after winning the final dead room.

"Yeah, I was a little cold to you back then, wasn't I? I'm still very sorry about that. I love you, Hajime." Nagito cooed,

"Yeah, yeah, I love you too." Hajime replied, rolling his eyes.

"So, I guess I'm not the only ultimate to lose more than just his memories. That's good to know. Maybe it's more than just an average case of amnesia. I wonder if everyone else is a victim of this as well. Anyway, sorry for keeping you here. I'm sure you've got better things to do. I'll see you around." Rantaro said, leaving.

"Rantaro was... Interesting, to say the least." Kaede said,

"Really, I think Taro was pretty chill." I replied,

"Taro? You gave him a nickname already?" Kaede chuckled,

"Oh, yeah, I'm a nicknamer. Once I met someone, I like I'll give them a nickname whether they like it or not." I explained,

"Wow, that's kind of cute. Do you have any nicknames for Nagito?" Shuichi asked,

"Nagi." I replied,

"Isn't that more of a couple nickname?" Kaede questioned,

"I sure hope so. After all, we're dating." I reviled,

"You're dating?!" Shuichi and Kaede exclaimed in disbelief,

"Yeah, you haven't noticed?" Nagito asked as if it was obvious.

"Well, now that you mention it. You two do seem pretty close." Kaede realized,

"I hope I can find someone who makes me happy like that." Shuichi mumbled with a touch of sadness,

"Don't worry, Shuichi. I'm sure you'll meet a wonderful girl one day or boy if you're into that." Kaede reassured,

"Thanks, Kaede, that means a lot." Shuichi replied, happy to have such a supportive friend.

I was tempted to tell Shuichi about his relationship with Kokichi, but I decided to stay quiet about it in case he forgot about him. The four of us walked down the corridors until we came across two doors. I figured one was the dining hall.

"Hey, can we go into this door? I have a feeling I'll need something in there." I said knowingly,

"Um, sure I don't mind." Kaede replied,

We went inside the overgrown dining hall, and I saw Himiko and Tenko again.

"Wow, so is this a dining hall?" Kaede gasped,

"Yep, it sure is. Though I've never seen a dining hall with so much plant life before." Tenko responded,

"That and this place is locked at night. What a pain." Himiko complained,

"What this place is locked at night? What a strange rule." Kaede frowned, crossing her arms in thought.

"I agree, then again, maybe whoever's running this place doesn't want us ruining our eating schedules or something." Shuichi theorized,

"That could be the reason. After all, everyone loves midnight snacking." Himiko agreed,

"That's so true! I can't tell you how much I enjoy a late-night snack after training. You're so cute, Himiko!" Tenko gushed,

"Nyeeh, thank you, I guess." The so-called mage replied,

"Well, it's nice to meet you, uh?" Kaede said, realizing she didn't know their names.

"Oh, that's right, I never introduced myself, have I? Well then, I'm Tenko Chabashira, the Ultimate Aikido Master Haiyah! With the power of Neo Aikido on my side, I am unstoppable!"

"And prepare to be amazed. Fall to your knees. I am Himiko Yumeno, the Ultimate Mage."

All of us were struck silent at how the two girls differed from each other Tenko was loud with high energy, and Himiko seemed to be quiet and a little lazier. But what was weirder was that both of their personalities were completely different from the first time I meet them.

"But… I'm officially called the Ultimate Magician." Himiko corrected,

"Ah, that makes much more sense. Nice to meet you, ladies." Nagito waved with a cheerful smile.

"Nice to meet you two. It's great to meet some new people. Even if the degenerate males are among those people." Tenko scowled,

"Degenerate males? Are you talking about men? Are you… Uncomfortable around them?" Kaede asked carefully,

"It's a way bigger problem than just being uncomfortable. If any degenerate tries to touch me, my reflex is to grab them and throw them across the room." Tenko explained,

"Oh, great, she's one of those people." Emily groaned,

"What do you mean, Emily?" I wondered,

"A hard-core lesbian and feminist. Ah man, I hate people like this thinking one gender is better than the other it's so sexist." Emily groaned, annoyed at Tenko's behavior.

"So, a more extreme version of Mahiru's views on men." Nagito guessed,

"Yeah, that's the idea." Emily replied,

"Well, looks like we found the loudmouth." I muttered,

"So, anyway, we were about to get something to eat. Do you guys want anything?" Himiko asked,

"Yeah, I could eat. I feel like I haven't eaten in a while." Kaede said,

"I'm feeling a little hungry as well. I'll help you guys make something." I offered,

Kaede, Nagito, and I helped make an early lunch for the group. I was about to put away the dishes when a frying pan caught my eye.

"I know what you're thinking, Dakota. Take it. You know we'll need it." Nagito said, glancing at me from the sink.

I did and put the pan in my backpack for later. We left the kitchen and had lunch with everyone.

"So, Kaede. I never asked you this, but how did you become the Ultimate Pianist?" I inquired,

"Oh, I never told you this. Well, ever since I was younger, I would play the piano whenever I was bored. I became so passionate that I would often forget to eat or sleep. Eventually, I won awards from contests, and people started praising me. And that's how I knew I had an Ultimate Talent. Eventually, the Ultimate Intuitive noticed my talent and gave me my title." Kaede explained,

What Kaede said seemed convincing enough. If it wasn't for the fact that you become an Ultimate after being scouted by Hope's Peak Academy. That is the only way and the only school that is associated with that title. Something was off about Kaede's claim, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

"And, what about you Shuichi, how did you get your talent?" Nagito asked,

"Um, well, I'm not even a full detective. All I did was solve a murder case no one else could solve, and that was it. Nothing special." He explained, pulling his hat down to cover his eyes and his reddened face.

"Are you kidding?! That's a huge deal!? You should be proud of yourself!" I encouraged,

"Well, I expect nothing less from the nephew of Kyoko Kirigiri. She was the Ultimate Detective as well." Nagito explained,

"You know my aunt?!" Shuichi shot up,

(Well, at least he remembers that.) I thought,

"Yes, she was my lower classmen. Talented young woman, she's getting married next year." Nagito replied,

"Well, when I see her again, I'll be sure to say congratulations." Shuichi said,

We finished lunch and decided to check out the door next to the dining hall. There we saw it was a vast warehouse.

"Wow, this is even bigger than the one at Hope's Peak." I said in awe.

"I'm beginning to see the resemblance between the two schools." Nagito replied,

"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" Kaede asked, also breathless with how big the room was.

"I'm not sure yet." Nagito thought,

I continued to look around when I accidentally bumped into someone.

"Oh, sorry." I said,

"Hey! Watch where you're going, biscuit!" A blond-haired girl swore.

"You just met her, and you're calling her a biscuit?" Kaede grinned awkwardly,

"Hold on, since when has our swears been censored?" Shuichi wondered,

"Um, excuse me. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but the network has asked us to censor all profanities and dirty words. With other words that sound like said words, I hope you understand. So long bear well." Monophanie explained, leaving as quickly as she came.

"Well, when she puts it like that, how could I be mad. It's almost funny in a way." Kaede smiled.

"I don't see the fun of it. It's just a pain in my butt! Stupid swear censor, how am I supposed to speak my mind when I can't even drop the f-bomb." She asked,

"Trust me. I think that's for the best." I said dryly, not liking this girl's attitude.

"Hey, you, you staring at my boobs?" She asked Shuichi.

Now I really didn't like this girl.

"What!?" Shuichi asked.

"Haha help yourself! A guy like you can only dream of landin' a big, boobed hottie like me! Go on, get a good eye full!" She boasted,

Now she was really testing my patience.

"Well, looks like we found the fan service character." Cindy said, hand on her cheek.

"Yeah, and I don't like her." I said through gritted teeth.

"How about you give her the ol' heave-ho for me." Mimi suggested with a grin, and I knew what she meant.

"Gladly." I smiled, pulling the frying pan out of my backpack one more word out of her, and bam. She'll be out like a light.

"N-No, I wasn't staring. My eyes just happened to land there." Shuichi said in his defense.

"Oh, my eyes just happened to look there. My hands just happened to grab her. I know a creep on sight, and you are definitely a fluffing per- *Clung* I yelled, hitting the girl on the head with the frying pan knocking her out. Kaede and Shuichi were standing in shock, but Nagito wasn't even surprised I snapped.

"Yeah! Take that biscuit!" Emily cheered, "So, how long do you think it will take her to wake up?"

"Definitely not long enough." Amy answered plainly,

"You should know right now that I'm a sex-repulsed Asexual. If any of you try anything, this will be in your future." I explained, seriously holding the frying pan up.

"Got it." Kaede understood.

"I wasn't going to try anything anyway. But thanks for saving us from that." Shuichi said, gesturing to Miu.

"Aw man, we didn't even get her name or talented." Kaede groaned,

"I'm guessing Ultimate Sex Worker." Emily joked,

"Emily, that's not even close to being funny." Cindy scolded.

"But it's true I've never seen such a cliché fan service character before." Emily laughed,

"Well, as much as I hate to admit it, she does seem a little extreme," Hajime added sheepishly,

"Are you kidding me?! She's not a little extreme! She seems like the type of girl who gets pregnant at the age of fourteen!" Emily snickered,

"So, should we leave and come back when she wakes up. We don't even know her name." Kaede suggested,

"I'm the gorgeous girl genius whose good looks and golden brain will go down in history! I'm the, one the only, the legendary Ultimate Inventor herself- Miu Iruma!"

"How is she talking right now? She's unconscious?!" Kaede asked, wondering how she's doing that,

"Oh, I think it's a voice recording." Shuichi pointed out.

"I'm responsible for creating inventions that help you be more productive while you sleep. And I've created many more that put me on the map! This baby is set to go off whenever I sleep, so I don't have to talk while I'm groggy." Miu's voice recording explained,

"Well, I'll admit that's pretty clever." I admitted,

"I know it's genius. You don't have to tell me." She bragged,

"Did she record herself thinking everyone would like this?" Kaede wondered.

"Sounds like someone has an ego." I sung, picking the devise up.

"Hey, if any boys are listening to this wanna flu—"

I yelped at the implication before she could finish the sentence. I throw the device across the room, causing it to break when it crashed into the wall.

"So, we got her talent and name. Shall we?" I asked, not wanting to stay any longer,

"We shall." They replied,

We left the warehouse leaving the unconscious Miu to wake up and wonder how her recorder broke.

"Hey, who broke my invention?!" Miu exclaimed angrily,

"Faster guys faster!" I ushered, and we started running. We ran until we made it to the basement stairs.

"Phew, I hope Miu doesn't realize we did it." Kaede panted,

"I do too. I really don't want to have another conversation with her." Shuichi cringed, recalling the conversation we had with her.

"Agreed." Nagito and I said,

"So, where do these stairs lead?" Kaede asked, looking down into the darkness,

"To the basement, Nagito and I woke up in there." I answered,

"There's nothing dangerous down there. You two should be fine. We already met everyone down there, though, so you can go on without us." Nagito said,

"Alright, then see you soon." Kaede waved about to leave with Shuichi when.

"Hey, back off. I already told you I don't have that function!" A voice yelled in distress,

"Uh oh." We said, heading into the classroom. There we saw a white-haired boy and

"Kokichi!" I exclaimed,

"Huh, you know him?" Shuichi asked,

"Heeey! Wait for me!" Kokichi shouted playfully,

"Please stop! Don't come any closer!" The white-haired boy pleaded,

"C'moon! Wait up! Lemme touch your body a little! I've always wanted to be friends with a robot!" Kokichi pestered,

"He's a robot!" We exclaimed,

"What is it? Are you another robophobe? I have a recording function. If you make any robophobic remarks, I will see you in court." He said,

"Oh, don't worry being a robot is not a problem to us, right guys?" I smiled warmly,

"Of course, I've never met a robot so human before. It's nice to meet you." Kaede smiled,

"Yeah, I wasn't trying to be mean. I was just shocked, that's all." Shuichi explained,

"Oh, if that's the case, my name is K1-B0, the Ultimate Robot. But please address me as Kiibo."

"Ultimate robot?" Kaede asked,

"That's not faaair! You can't be the only one who gets to show off! I'll introduce myself, too!" Kokichi wined,

"Well, what's your name, precious boy?" I smiled,

"My name is Kokichi Ouma, the Ultimate Supreme Leader!"

"Awwwww! You're sooo cute!" I exclaimed, rushing to him and tacking him down in a hug.

"Heeey, that's not fair. I'm supposed to do that to you!" Kokichi said, wiggling in my grasp.

"Oh my gosh! I've never met someone so precious before. You're too cute! too cute!" I gushed, hugging Kokichi.

"Wow, I never thought she would get so attached to him." Kaede noticed.

"Yeah, though I admit he is kind of cute." Shuichi replied with a light blush on his face.

"Oh, Shuichi, do you like boys too?" Kaede asked,

"Um, I'm not sure I feel comfortable telling you that yet." The detective replied, beginning to blush a deep red,

"Anyway, I'm a little curious about you, Kiibo. Who built you, and what's your purpose?" Nagito inquired,

"I was created by Professor Idabashi, the leading authority in the fields of robotics… He installed in me a "strong AI," capable of learning and maturing like a human. That's why, at the time of my creation, I didn't know anything. I was like a baby… But the professor raised me like I was his own child. He taught me many things… Until finally, he enrolled me in high school." Kiibo explained,

"Aww, that's really sweet, Kiibo." I awed still holding Kokichi in my arms,

"So, he's a lot like Chihiro's Alter Ego. I never thought we would find something like that in here." Cindy noticed,

"I don't think I trust him. The last few times we meet a friendly AI, they turned out to be secretly evil." Emily said matter-of-factly,

"Hey, Alter Ego saved our lives more than once! How can you say that about a robot we haven't even meet?!" Chloe exclaimed angrily.

"You know I've heard of Professor Idabashi. He was captured by the Ultimate Despair during The Tragedy and forced to create Junko's AI from the stolen technology she got from Chihiro. If he didn't comply, his family would suffer." Hajime explained, sadly not paying attention to the threesomes bickering.

"So, do you think Kiibo was created from the left-over data?" Chiaki questioned,

"I'm not sure, but I think we should keep an eye on him just in case his purpose turns out to be more sinister." Hajime replied, questioning the robot's purpose,

"Hey, what about you, Kokichi? What makes you the Ultimate Supreme Leader?" I asked as Shuichi helped us up.

"Oh, I'm just the supreme leader of an evil organization. That's all." Kokichi explained a matter-of-factly finger to his lip and a mischievous smile on his face.

"What?!" We exclaimed,

"Hold up, that's the first time I'm hearing about this!" Emily added,

"Hold on, Ems, I think there's more at play." Hajime frowned, listening closer.

"I gotta say, it's pretty impressive. My organization has over 10,000 members!" Kokichi explained, hands outstretched in a dramatic pose.

"Wow, that is impressive." I replied in awe,

"Hold on, is this even true?!" Kaede asked,

"Who knows? I am a lair, after all." Kokichi said plainly,

"A lair?" I asked,

"Huh, so you were lying just now?" Kaede asked,

"Well, I am the supreme leader of an evil organization. That part was true!" Kokichi confessed,

"So, were you lying or not?" Kaede asked,

"Nee-hee hee… I'm not telling youuuu." Kokichi giggled,

"Awww, you're soo cute it hurts!" I gushed, holding my chest.

"You know it's not nice to lie, you know." Shuichi lightly scolded,

"Aww, who do you think you are, my dad?! Haven't you met a compulsive lair before? I can't help it if I lie. It's second nature for me! I'll die if I tell the truth!" Kokichi wined dramatically.

"Now that I believe aside from the whole drying part." Shuichi admitted,

Seeing the two of them together again made me happy, but that was short-lived when I realized number one Kokichi was acting drastically different from the first time we meet. And number two, he didn't recognize me. But that wasn't the only person he didn't recognize.

"You don't recognize your boyfriend?" I asked,

"Boyfriend!" They exclaimed,

"Hold on. You didn't tell me you were dating Shuichi!" Kaede exclaimed, shocked at the revile,

"I'm not. I'm telling you I don't know this kid." Shuichi replied, waving his hands in defense.

"You don't remember me? I thought you loved me, Shuichi. Waaaaaah, I can't believe it. How could you forget me? You're so mean!" Kokichi cried out, crying quite a lot of tears too.

"Ugh, he's so loud someone anyone shut him up!" Emily yelled,

"Okay, you're definitely faking it and lying. You don't know him either, do you?" Kaede frowned, crossing her arms,

"Okay, you got me. Sorry to disappoint the shippers out there, but I've never met him either." Kokichi admitted hands behind his head,

"So, you don't remember us after all. I had a feeling this would happen. Sorry to confuse you guys." I apologized,

"Wait, have we met before? I think my memory bank would've recorded information of you guys." Kiibo wondered,

"Well, can't information be deleted after a while? And you're a robot. Someone must have deleted information to keep you from realizing the danger we're in." Kokichi theorized,

"I would say that's robophobic, but I guess you do have a point." Kiibo replied,

"Well, even if we did lose our memories, I'm sure everything will be fine. It was nice meeting you." Kaede waved,

"It was nice meeting you too. I'm sure we'll become great friends." Kiibo replied surely,

"Yeah, same here. And Shuichi, if you remember our relationship, I'll expect you to take me out on a date next Friday at seven o'clock sharp." Kokichi said excitedly, waving goodbye.

"Um, okay. But I can't make any promises." Shuichi replied with a reddened face as we left.

"So, that was interesting, to say the least." Kaede said,

"Yeah, I still can't believe I have a boyfriend that I don't even remember." Shuichi said, slightly dizzy from the revile.

"I don't think the relationship counts if you don't remember it." I added,

"Um, try telling Kokichi that." Shuichi replied,

"Well, you gotta admit he is pretty adorable." I said,

"Okay, you have me there." Shuichi replied with a blush.

"So, you do like boys. It's nice to see a fellow Bisexual." Kaede beamed.

"Wait, you're bisexual too? Well, I guess I should've known after we talked to Tsumugi." Shuichi said,

"Yeah, I guess I was being a little obvious. Anyway, we're heading to the basement. We'll see you two later." Kaede waved, and the two left.

"Okay, Nagito, we need to talk now." I said, grabbing his wrist and dragging him further into the hall.

"What's going on, Dakota?" Nagito asked, confused by my outburst.

"I think we both know what I'm going to ask. Why are they acting this way? Everyone is acting differently than when we first met them. I mean, Maki, Kaede, and Shuichi seem fine, but Kokichi, Tenko, and Himiko are acting drastically different. Plus, they said it themselves. No one here has Ultimate Talents. And they don't even remember each other. What is going on, and why aren't we affected by this?" I asked, waving my arms for emphasis.

"I was afraid something like this would happen, but I wasn't expecting it to be on this scale." Nagito frowned, putting his fingers on his chin.

"What do you mean on this scale?" Chole cut in.

"A few years ago, when Junko was alive, and the Tragedy was at its peak, Junko wanted to experiment with memory eraser. One of the methods she wanted to use was erasing innocent people's memories and replacing them with fake ones. It would work like a placebo effect, making you believe you're someone you're not and making you think you had something you normally didn't. Her goal was to create a fake group of ultimates and put them into a killing game. That way, she could create despair by reviling the truth that no one was who they thought they were at the end of the game. But of course, she died before they could perfect it. And I didn't hear anything about it for years." Nagito explained,

"I think I remember something like that. So, that flashback light was what I feared, after all. Everyone here is no longer the people they once were because they don't have any memory of their real past." Hajime recalled,

"Great, just want we needed at a time like this. Amy tell Future Foundation to fire up the memory recovery again we're going to need it." Chiaki said seriously,

"I'm on it, Dakota, Nagito make sure you keep an eye on everyone. Especially Kokichi, call it a hunch. But I think we found our antagonist character." Amy explained,

"Oh, not Kichi. That was the one thing he didn't want. Oh, why him he seemed so pure?" I questioned, looking down in sadness.

"Don't worry, Dakota, they won't be trapped here for long. Give it a few days, and they'll be out of here in no time." Nagito reassured, putting his hand on my shoulder.

"We better find the mastermind before then; I don't want any last-minute surprises. Or any bodies being discovered." I said, perking up.

"Hey, by the way, why didn't the flashback light affect us? I mean, we were all exposed to it shouldn't our memories be jumbled up?" Mimi asked,

"Now that you mention it, you're right. When we woke up in the A/V room, I remembered everything that happened yesterday. How come we didn't get false memories?" I asked,

"I wouldn't be surprised if Team Danganronpa didn't plan for our infiltration. They probably didn't have enough time to rewrite our personalities and talents. Either that or we're immune." Nagito theorized, hands-on his chin as he thought.

"Immune? How can that be?" I asked in disbelief.

"Think about it you and your friends got your memories stolen by Junko and recovered by Future Foundation. It's possible that their technology gave you immunity to that kind of brain damage. As for me, my brain was messed up enough thanks to my dementia. It's possible that I wasn't affected because of that." Nagito explained,

"That makes sense. At least it's covenant for us. I hope Future Foundation can do the same thing for them." I said,

"Me too, we've just uncovered something bigger than we thought." Nagito replied,

We heard footsteps growing louder and turned to see Kaede and Shuichi returning.

"Hey, you two, we're back." Kaede spoke,

"Hey, guys, found anything?" I asked, smiling brightly.

"Not really, but we met Ryoma and Maki. They seem nice." Kaede said,

"But we didn't find a way out. So how are things on your end?" Shuichi asked,

"The same as before, but it looks like the gates leading to the entrance hall have opened. Want to check it out?" I asked,

"Sure, maybe we can find a way outside." Kaede said we started to make our way to the main hall. While walking there, I couldn't help but think about what will become of the faux ultimates

(I hope everyone is going to be okay.) I thought, even though I knew that things were about to become much worse.
