'Old roads to new places'
Location: one of the worse parts of Vale, rented room of the brothers. A suden alarm woke up Jaume.
''What is going on?'' asked Jaune. Loking around he saw he was in the room the two of them rented. A quick look at his(extreamy onld and almost broken) scroll gave him the answere to what is hapening. The scrolls alarm went of.
''Domi, wake up!'' he shouted as he fliped the matres to wake him up.
Domi grunts like a zombie… ''Whats the time?'' he asked still half asleap.
''2'' stated Jaune. ''Why da fak are you waking me up at 2 in the morning!?'' Domi shouted in anger.
''2 in the afternoon, that is.'' Stated Jaune.
''Fak… we got to get moving!'' Domi stated, trying to get up, as Jaune alred got redy to move out.
They (Mostly Domi) got ready, when domi spoke up. ''We got to talk about something… our cuts.'' He stated with a worying tone.
''What about them?'' Asked Jaune.
''Losing my coat made me realize something… the cuts aren' t made from high quality huntsmen grade materials. They will eventualy rip and tear. Look at them, they are barely holding themself together.'' Stated Domi.
''Hate to say it, but you are right on that one.'' Admited Jaune.
''I was thinking… how about we get the cuts, integrated on my new jacked and your hoody. And we keeap the cuts as reminders, suveniers, that kindof thing.'' Said Domi.
''As much as my drifter heart bleads, lets keep them on our bikes, as lucky charms!'' he aswerd his brother.
''Not even and half bad idea, i must say.'' Replied Domi. ''We will get the Brawling Nevermores logo on as soon as possible. But we will have to find a good tailor, you think Coco might know one?'' he asked.
''Who knows… lets get going.'' Said Jaune.
The both of them took their belongings and got out of the room and went to get their bikes. They got redy to depart. ''A good song for a last ride, dont you think.'' Said Domi. ''Last ride for the cuts, so… yes.'' Said Jaune as he threw his scrolescroll to Domi. He proceed to start a song. Not just a song, their theme song. Push by Thousand Foot Krutch.
And with that they were off, listening to their theme .

''Don't you just love it when the song ends when you reach your destination!?'' stated Domi.
With the end of the song they arrived at the end of the Emerald forest, at the gate to Baecon academy. It was a heveily garded gate that looked like out of a medival castle. Standing near the gate they saw two familiar females. The one Glynda Goodwitch, who got them into Beacon. The other was Coco Adel, the one who got Domi's new coat. Which he loved.
''You are late!'' Said Glynada with a anoyed tone ''What's your excuse, if i may ask?'' she stated.
''Apereantly there is a 20kmh limit on the forest grounds!'' stated Domi. ''If there was a normal speed limit we would not be late, but no, someone decided to make it a max 20 zone!'' he added.
''Well, i have heard worse excuses. Here.'' She handed both of the a scroll. ''Your id' s are on these scrolls, you will need them more than you may think now.'' She staited.
Meanwhile Coco Adel was shoked, her jaw almost dislocated. She couldnt belive it. The told her the truth. ''Are you serius right now!'' She finaly managet to find her words.
''Told ya so, Cocopuf.'' Said Domi in a mokingly maner.
''Do you know the brothers , miss Adel?'' asked Glynda.
''She helped Domi get a new coat, we meet her yesterday at a boutique.'' Explained Jaune.
Glynda took a look at Dominik. He was now wearing a jet black trench coat, that was hold together by two belts on the insides of the coat. She had to admit he looked way better, then before. Thats when she noticed he wasn't wearing his cut, loking at Jaune, neither was he. Coco herself noticed that. ''I thought your cuts were important to you, don't you feel naked without them?'' she stated mokingly.
''Our cuts arent made fro huntsmen grade mats, and are at the end of their lives. So we keep them as lucky charm on or bikes. But don't wory we will get the cuts on my jacked and Jaune's hoody. Btw do you know a good tailor Cocopuf?'' stated Domi.
''Don't worh lover boy, i will hook you up. That is if ya give me a ride to the main yard.'' Coco stated.
''Sure thing, nothinv to good for my favorite fashionista. Hop on.'' He stated. So she did wihlth a sway on her hips.
''I think it's a bit late to ask… but can we store our bikes somewhere?'' asked Jaune.
''Thankfuly i was prepaired for that, the school has a private garage at the main square. I will guide you there.'' Glynda said. As she proceeded to take a seat on Jaunes bike.
A couple minutes later the arived at the main squere of Beacon. And Glynda pointed to a bilding to the west.''Hold your scrolls to the scaner and it will unlock the units.'' She stated. With a quick swipe of their new scrolls, the doors unlocked and they placed their bikes in the units and locked them again.
''So… where to now?'' asked Domi.
''The headmaster is going to give a speach in the main hall, you should probably atend it.'' Said Glynda.
''Off to the main hall we go…'' stated Domi goind into a random direction. ''It's that way!'' said Coco. ''Then off to the main hall, that way.'' Corecte Domi. ''I will escort you there if you dont mind. I rather not have you get lost on the first day.'' Stated Coco.
''Whatever floats your boat, Cocopuf.'' Teased Domi.
''Try to keep up loverboy.'' Coco teased Domi.
''That's my line!'' commented Domi.
With that the three of them were of towards the main hall. On their way towards the main hall, they encountered a group of new arrivals. ''We could have been with them, if it wasn't for someone's motion sicnes.'' Stated Domi. ''Shut it!'' was the response from Jaune.
As they kept on walking, the suddenly hear an explosion. The all turns to the source of the noise, a crater, where a girl dressed in mostly black, with a red cape was semigly scolded by a girl in all white. The girl in white took her baggage and left, leaving the small goth looking loli alone. Jaune, being the good guy he is, went to help her. '' Need a hand?'' he asked streaching out a hand. '' Thanks… my name is Ruby Rose. What's yours?'' Ruby asked. ''The name is Jaune. Jaune . And my lovely brother here is Dominick.'' Jaune answered. ''Dominik Umbra . But most people call me Domi.'' Added Domi.
''You don't really look related, are you half brothers perhaps?'' she asked wondering.
'' We are not related at all, we are sworn brothers.'' Explained Jaune.
'' That makes a lot of sense, I got a half sister that looks nothing like me, who also ditched me.'' Said Ruby.
''Sounds like something Domi would do!' ' said June. ''Fair enough.'' Added Domi.
'' Did we lose Coco, wasn't she just behind us?'' asked Jaune. ''She probably spotted someone with a bad outfit and went to scold them!'' explained Domi.
''Anyway… I got this.'' She said taking out her weapon, transforming it into a giant scythe.
''Compensating for something, aren't we.'' Stated Domi teasingly.
Ruby blushed, and added ''It's also a high impact sniper rifle.'' Domi looked at the weapon, checking it out. '' dust round, can deal some massive damage against most targets.'' Domi stated.
Ruby got stars of excitement in her eyes as she hear Domi talk. ''So… what do you guys got?'' she asked the brothers.
Jaune was the first to speak. ''I got a 9mm pistol, a compact crossbow and my machete.'' He said pointing to his weaponry. As Domi joined in. ''I got this Bareta 9mm pistol, my trusty Super 90 shotgun, and my boot knife.'' Explains Domi pointing out his weapons, showing of his skin in flipping his knife in his left hand. ''We got nothing as fancy as you do, but we know how to use our weapons to the fullest potential.'' Domi added.
'' I see… not many fans of the classics nowadays.'' Ruby stated.
''Yeah… classics.'' Mumbled Jaune.
''Btw, how did you get here… I didn't see you two on the bullhead?'' asked Ruby.
''We came here with our bikes, we would take a bullhead, but someone has some serious motion sicnes.'' Explained Domi pointing at Jaune. ''I will have you know motivation sicnes, is a more common problem than you think.'' Stated Jaune a lithe irritated.
'' Noone on the bullhead had motion sicnes thou.'' Stated Ruby. '' But I'm sure it's just a random chance, noone with motivation sicnes was on board.'' She tried to comfort Jaune.
'' You are not the best at talking, are you?'' Domi stated to Ruby. ''The only thing I can talk obout without messing up is weapons, im kind of a weapons dork.'' She stated.
'' Don't worry, neighter Jauney nor I are to social.'' Said Domi. '' Well I guess that's the main hall.'' Said Domi as the got in front of the massive building. They entered thrue a pair of massive doble doors. As soon as they enter, a female voice can be heard. '' Ruby! Over here, I saved you a spot!'' a girl with long blond hair shouted. ''That's my half sister, I got to go, but it was nice meeting both of you.'' She said. ''Yeah, see ya around Rubes.'' Said Domi, while Jaune waved in goodbye.
Behind them a girl with long crimson hair, tied up into a ponytail, wearing brons and gold armor, thought to herself. Those two are my type, tall and lanky. If their personalities are good, either one is a keeper. And if both have good personalities, I get to chose bettwen blonde with oceab blue eyes and dark brown with white acents and amber eyes. No… keep it together Pyrrha. You came to Beaco to become a huntres, not to get a man. OK maybe I can do both. She thought to herself with a smirk coming to her lips.
Back with Ruby and her sister. '' First day and you already made 2 friends, two handsome guys that is. Didn't take you for that kind of person.'' Said the blondee.
''Yang! Domi and Jaune are just friends, nothing more.'' She said in a whining tone.
''I am joking, if the want a piece of you they have to get thrue me firs, and I am not going down easy.'' Said Yang.
'' Yang, they are my friend and I do belive they are good people. So don't you try anything to mess it up for me. Do you understand.'' She said given Yang the most deadly glare she could give, which was still adorably cute.
''Ok, Ok… as long as the don't lay a finger on you I won't do anything. Prosim.'' She said. ''I am keeping my eyes on you sis.'' Said Ruby.
Just as that was said the headmaster of Beacon academy, profesor Ozpin, came on the stage and started a speach… an awfully boring and dull speach that is, as Domi was thinking.

A figure awful familiar came on stage. It was no other then Glynda Goodwitch.
''My name is Glyda Goodwitch, as most probably allredy know, I am the combat instruktor and the head misters of Beacon. Tommorow we will begin with initiation, for today you will gather in the ball room, where you will be provided sleeping bags for the night, when you complete initiation, if should I rather state, you will get a room asignet. Now it is for the best of you to get some rest. You will have long day Tommorow.'' And with that she finished her speach and headed off the stage.
Domi and Janey were about to leave when they heard the voice of Ruby call their names.
'' Dominik, Jaune wait up.'' She yelled running over to them, the girl with long blonde hair that was asumed her sister following her with a much slower paste and a sway on her hips.
'' Dominik, Jaune meet my older half sister Yang. And Yang meet Dominik and Jaune.'' She said introducing everyone to each other.
''The name is Yang Xiao Long. The pleasure is all yours.'' She said extending a hand to Jaune.
'' Jaune , at your service.'' Jaune introduced himself. And Yang extended her hand to Domi.
''The name is Dominik Umbra . But most people call me Domi. Short, sweet, rolls of the tongue. Ladies love it.'' He said with a grin on his face.
''The Two don't really seem like brothers to me. Different parents?' ' asked yang.
''Yang, they are sworn brothers. They told me earlier.'' Explained Ruby. ''BTW I forgot to ask, but your not from signal, from which academy are the two of you?'' she asked.
The sworn brothers looked at each other, Domi gesturing for Jaune to talk. '' We didn't go to a academy, we got invited to join, after we saved someone at the outskirts of Vale.'' Explained Jaune.
''The outskirts… why would you be out there, there are only grim, psychos and bikers who have a death wish out there.'' Said Yang.
''We are drifters, we ride under the cut of the Brawling Nevermores. We live or lived on the the wild road. We did hunter like jobs to get by, and that eventually lead to us saving Goodwitch from a horse of freakers and getting invited to Beacon.'' Said Domi.
''You saved Goodwitch, that is soooo cool!'' said a now hyper Ruby Rose.
''All in a day's work.'' Added Jaune.
''If you got invited by Good witch herself, without atending a academy beforehand, you two must be hella strong, I mean insanely strong.'' Stated a surprised Yang.
''We are good, very good, maybe even the best at what we do… killing freakers.'' stated Domi.
'' We will see abou that when we get to spar against each other in combat class. If you make it thrue initiation that is.'' Said Yand with a smirk on her face.
''Enought flirting'' stated Jaune, as Ruby flushed a little. ''We got to get our stuff we left on the bikes, or we will be sleaping in underwear, and no you won't be sleaping in just that, we are In public, you need to wear pants and a shirt!' ' said Jaune to Domi who looked a little depressed. ''Whatever you say… dad.'' Added Domi.
The both went of leaving the sister to get their stuff. They got to their bikes, took their bags and headed to the changing rooms. The changet and left their stuff in the lockers, whish they took note of on their new scrolls. Domi now wearing a pair of lose gray shorts, and a very lose black tank top that was a few sizes to big, and a pair of widen flipflops on his feet, and his signiture green bandana on his forehead. While Jaune also wore a pair of wooden flipflops, he wore a pair of bright yellow shorts and a short sleeved white t-shirt. Each of them were carying a sleaping bag/ bedroll, whatever you may call it and their scrolls.
Ruby and Yand were chatinh as the noticed that the sworn brother have arrived in the ballroom. Yang stating ''They are quit muscular, you got good taste Rubes.'' Said Yand making Ruby blush. ''Hey biker boys, there's a spot free besides us.'' Yang yelled getting the attention of the brothers. They soon joined the two girls. ''So… nervous for Tommorow?' ' asked Ruby. The brothers looking at each other as the both chuckle. ''We dealt with hordes of freakers, whole camps of rippers, I don't think that initiation to a huntsman school is going to be that difficult.'' Stated Domi.
''What are rippers?'' asked a confuse Ruby.
Jaune sightet and explained. ''Ripper are cultist, lunatiks, crazy and druget out of their mind. The worship the grin as like gods, and refute to harm them, even if that means they get eaten alive by them. They are only a problem in the outskirts and outer parts of remnant, so we can't blame you for not knowing.'' ''The are a bunch of murdering, raping, plundering assholes, outer waste of human life!'' aded Domi with a killer intend in his voice.
''The day we saved Goodwich, we were on our way back from clearing a ripper camp, the contractor said it won't be more then 10 of them… surprise, surprise there were at least 40 of them if not more. We barely manager to take care of them.'' Stated Jaune.
''Wait… so you killed humans?'' asked Yang, while Ruby froze in shock.
''Ripper are not human… not any more. They are considered wanted for hight treason against humanity itself. Villages and towns have bounty boards for drifter to take care of them, while huntsmen get them ass well, but rather don't do it because of the high risk and rather small payment. We had our share of runins with those fuckers, if we would let the rippers run around, the would kill innocent people, rape women, hec children even and burn down villages and lead grim to them, just to satisfy their psyhopatical needs, to serve the grimm. They are not human!'' explained Domi with a death glare in his eyes and the will to kill that could be hear from his words.
''We lost everything to a ripper ambush, as we were in a village when we were 5. The ripper set houses ablaze and lured grim into the village. It got overrun, the rippers them self died, with grins from one side of their faces to the other. We got saved by a drifter, who took us in, and raised us after, before he died. Deacon , our savior and later on uncle, taught us everything, how to ride a bike, shoot a gun and how to survive in general. I am not really fond of the fact that ripper are still out there, but Domi, he is furrius, and I can't blame him. They are worse then grimm, the grimm are evil in their very nature, while the ripper chose to be the murdering, raping, destructive evil they are.'' Explained Jaune.
''I didn't know, I'm sorry. I didn't know how awful ripper are. They sound like monstes.'' Apologized Yang.
Sight''Water under the bridge. You aren't the first to react that way, and sure aren't the last.'' Stated Domi.
That moment the hear sobbing, it was Ruby, crying… as she leapt at Domi and Jaune, pulling them into a hug. ''I am so sorry, you have been thrue so much… if… if you need to you can talk to me, I will always listen to you.'' Said Ruby huging them tightly, still crying.
''Rubes… the wild open road is a surprisingly good therapist. It can fix almost everything.'' Domi stated ''But not everything.'' Added Jaune. ''Don't worry about us, we have been thru some shit, but we got each other to keep going. As uncle Bozer would say: There ain't no rest for the winked. And we are tought, we can take a lot.'' Said Jaune, trying to calm down Ruby.
''You think you could let go of us, I'm not getting any air.'' Said Domi. Ruby realizing she was huging the tightly, she flushed and released her vice like grip on them, jumping back a bit. ''Sorry, I didn't realize I was choking you!'' she stated. ''Don't worry about us… but I got to ask, aren't you a bit young to be attending Beacon?'' asks Jaune trying to change the topic.
''My baby sis got invited 2 years early, after kicking som serious ass at a dust robery!'' stated Yand With a proud expression on her face.
''It's no big deal… compare to you guys, it's nothing. You saved The Glyda Goodwich. Tell us about, you only mentioned saving her from a hoard of grim! Stated Ruby with a wide grin on her face.
''Well, after we dealt with the rippers…'' Yang and Ruby both paleing a little as they they heard Jaune speak. ''we were on ouer way to a village to restock on ammo and fuel. Then I noticed a large horde of freakers and a bunch of newts. And before you ask, the horde was around 150 in numbers. Then Domi noticed that the horde was attacking a huntsman. He with his deathwish decided to go help. He drove ahead to pull the attention of the horde on his bike and pulled most of the horde away.'' Explained Jaune.
''So there I was… with around a hundred freaks at my ass… i hoped for God's mercy, that I still had a molotov. Bless the brothers I did have one last, but not just any normal molotov. It was one of my experimental combined dust enhanced molotovs. A bunch of fire and lightning dust crystals and some powdered raw gravity dust, was added to some high oxide fuel and thermite… I took it and said '' Take this you freaks!'' and threw it in the middle of the horde, hitting a freaker right into his face… and boom, zap, a giant ass fireball with lightning emerged dealing with most of the freaks in an instant. What was left was 15 freaks. I dif u turned and stopped, firering the last of my bullets at them, the switching to my shotgun, whe I emptyed it I was left with a single newt… I got up from my bike and took out my boot knife and finished it off wit a stab to the gut and a trust to the skull.'' Said Domi.
Yang was impressed, he didn't seem like he was lying, she knew when someone was lying to her, she spoke from experience. Meanwhile Ruby was listening carefully.
''Meanwhile, I went to help the now hunters, deal with the remaining freaks. I unloaded my pistol with the last of my ammo, then I switched to my crossbow. By the time I was out of bolts there were still a few left, so I took my machete and started chopping heads, Domi returned and shot the last 3 freak behind me, and yes I knew they were behind me, don't let Domi tell you enythin else.'' Stated Jaune
''After some introductions, Glynda invited us to join Beacon. And that's about it.'' Added Domi.
Ruby was literally vibrating in excitement. ''That's so cooool!'' she screached.
''Keep, it down… it's getting late, we should hit the hay, me and Jauney finished a 20h ride not even 2 days ago, and living of only caffein has its drawbacks.'' Said Domi in a tired way before going into a coma like sleep.
''Yeah… it was a long and tiring ride. I think I will go streach my legs fore I go to sleep, ming watching my stuff?'' asked Jaune
''We got you, biker boy.'' Teased Yang.
Jaune proceded to walk out of the ballroom, into the hallways of beacon, but what he didn't notice someone was following him. It was Pyrrha Nikos, who noticed the biker boy from the speach. She was interested in where one of the boys of her interest was going. Jane with the sneaking Pyrrha following, walked the hallways with no goal at hand. He somehow found himself on a higher floor, not knowing when he went up any stairs, now standing on one of the many balconys at beacon. Pyrrha watched as Jaune was leaning against the railing. The moonlight of the shattered moon shining at him like a spotlight. Pyrrha mustered up all her confidence and walked towards him Musing out the word ''Troble sleaping?'' she asked in a awkward tone.
Jaune turned to see that the voice belonget to a beautiful young woman. She had crimson red hair, long, so long thatit could cover her ass if it wasn't tied up into a ponytail. Her eyes were two beautiful emeralds. Her face like a marble statue, defined to it's fullest. She wore a 2 piece pj, brons brown in color, with golden ascends and buttons.
''I could ask you the same. And no, I'm just thinking, that's all.'' Stated Jaune.
Pyrrha, being her awkward self, berely manager to get words out of her mouth and replied. ''Do you mind if I join you to think?'' she asked blushing a lithe.
''Sure, not like you are disturbing me.'' He said gesturing for her to join him.
''So… what are you thinking about?'' she asked. ''Not like you have to tell me or anything, I was just curious.'' She added, barely leaping her act together.
Jaune giggled a litle before replying. ''Many things, myself, my brother… life.'' He explained.
''Looks like you have a lot on your mind… do you need to talk about it?'' she asked.
''I'm gona make this quick… me and my brother have been thrue a lot of shit together. Every time we get something good it ends worse that before… now we are at beacon, folowing the the extreamly good fortune, something bad, really facking bad will happen. And I'm woryed about that.'' Stated Jaune.
Pyrrha was shoked and kinda relived, he told her something that important, he trusted he blindly. He seems like a good man, trusting, caring for the ones he holds dear. Stop… no thinking about claiming him for yourself, hold it together.
''What could possibly happen, we are at a school for huntsmen. We are more than safe here.'' Stated Pyrrha.
''There is no such thing as a safe place!'' said Jaune. ''But I appreciate the gesture… I better get going and catch some z's.'' he added.
And with that he was gone. Pyrrha now realizing she didn't even ask for his name, and that's when it hit her, he didn't ackt like he knew her, he acted like she was just some girl. Did he really not know who she was. Or was it just because of what she was wearing right now. She had to find him tommorow and check if he recognizes her. If he thruely doesn't know her, because of her fame, that would be another big plus one her list for him. She now wearing a bright smile on her face decided to head back and turn in for the night, after all tommorow is going to be a great day.
Jaune, now returning to his bedding, seeing Domi in his sleap depressed coma, was wondering how he is going to wake him up. Normaly he flips the mattes of his bed with him still on, onto the ground. But now he was sleaping on the floor. Tomorrow is going to be a interesting morning. And with that he went to sleap.
