The darkroom seemed to brighten as the candles in the corner were lit with flame as the five people within stood inside. Four males and one female, all wearing standard black robes of a Hogwarts student were having a meeting of their own.
And the names of those First Year students were Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, Lily Moon, Justin Finch-Fletchley and Theodore Nott stood together as they waited for the last member of the meeting.
Harry breathed deeply again and told everyone nervously, "Okay, we are wearing hoods so nobody can see anyone else. I will be Goldflight, the person to my right will be Honeyclaws and the person to my left will be Silvertongue. The person in front of me is and the remaining person is Blackmane. The person arriving will be Darkbeak."
As Goldflight finished explaining for the fifth time, it was confusing, Darkbeak arrived, wearing Gryffindor's student robes.
Darkbeak looked approvingly at the empty slots where the house badges should be and explained in his deep voice, "We will be the 'Otaliga Raptors', our motive is to make certain that we remain hidden from the eyes of the people prying and to make sure that chaos is always there, even if it is not chaotic."
Redwing raised an eyebrow under his hood and blurted, "So, we are nice pranksters?"
Darkbeak denied, "No, to say that we are pranksters is to say that Merlin is a myth. We are artists and we paint a picture for all to see, to show our talent to the world, discreetly. That is why we are meeting today, to discuss a symbol of our success."
_
It was Wednesday, four days after the first meeting of Darkbeak and his associates.
Everything was beautiful, the chill of October had grown but not overly so, it had made the weather pleasant. Sun was shining and there were a few clouds, children were laughing as they went to classes of their own, teachers were smiling, Snape was not scowling and Dumbledore was in his office.
Harry Potter made his way to the Great Hall, knowing that Goldflight's art would be displayed with his comrades' as well. Lily Moon, Neville Longbottom and Justin Finch-Fletchley were walking with him as well to see the artwork.
Scott Moody, who was passing by, nodded at them politely before winking, a crooked smirk appearing on his face.
Theodore Nott, who was already in the Great Hall, waiting for Lily, looked around happily, proud of his artwork.
As Harry entered the Great Hall, he looked directly at the House Points. The Gryffindors' Points were not their usual crimson but a slimy green whereas Slytherins' Points were a dull yellow instead of the dark shamrock green they usually were. Also, Ravenclaws' Points were a bloody red not the royal blue, with Hufflepuffs' Points being a horrible dusty blue, the chrome yellow having disappeared.
Everyone in the Great Hall, except a few who did not appreciate the Point System, were staring at the crystals in the hourglasses in a horrified manner.
Ronald Weasley was crying, held tightly by his elder brother, Percival, and Hermione Granger was not much bothered but, having caught on to the Negative Slytherin Prejudice, was gaping sadly.
Draco Malfoy had stormed out of the Great Hall with his bodyguards, Crabbe and Goyle, and Pansy Parkinson. Blaise Zabini was watching the whole spectacle with a grimace and a raised eyebrow, too much expression for the extremely stoic boy who stared down Snape.
At the Hufflepuff Table, Zacharias Smith was looking like the ground will swallow him at any second with Ernest Macmillan laughing crazily, pointing at their dusty points.
Roger Davies was trying to banish all the points away from their House Point Hourglass near the Staff Table, tears running down his face, while most of the Ravenclaw Table was saluting as if they were sacrificing a soldier.
At the Staff Table, Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, Hagrid and, surprisingly, Quirrell were the most disturbed by the phenomenon. Hagrid has the right to be scared rightfully with him wronged by Slytherins a ton. Dumbledore was not thinking and McGonagall's lips were so thin that they were barely visible. Snape had a vein popping through his neck and forehead. Quirrell was not even trying to look unsuspicious as he was scaling the Slytherin and Ravenclaw Hourglasses up and down in a downright scared way.
It was chaos.
Harry loved it.
The Otaliga Raptors were wearing smug expressions openly, nobody was even looking at them though.
Scott Moody's scary smirk widened as he looked at Roger Davies failing to banish away the bloody crystals that indicated points. Head Boy, or not, Scott always hated the points, though he did not share the reason for that with the group for some reason.
Snape's vein finally turned purple as his skin turned red. He stood up with unnatural speed and said loudly, "THIS IS TOO MUCH! FIFTY POINTS FROM WHOEVER DID THIS DISASTER!"
A visible hundred crystals from Slytherin and Ravenclaw Hourglass melted away and fifty each from each Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, placing Hufflepuff in the lead for the House Cup.
Snape looked even more outraged because the Slytherins were now in the last place. Malfoy had certainly not made a good impact for the Snake's Pit, Slytherin, and Flint and his friends were always best at losing points. Snape was the only reason Slytherin was not in the Fourth Position every year.
Sprout chuckled and said cheerfully, "These years are going to be fun again, it seems as if the Marauders have returned."
Flitwick nodded agreeably while Aurora Sinistra, Batsheda Babbling and Septima Vector shivered in fear.
And so it happened, the day before Halloween passed by in chaos from the lovely people. Some may call the chaos irrational and illogical, but those people must understand that wizards are biased and prejudiced, except for some.
And then there are rare cases like Harry Potter, who just love chaos, everything else be damned.
AN: Basically, Harry is Goldflight, Neville is Honeyclaws, Lily is Silvertongue, Justin is Blackmane and Theodore is Redwing. They are basically the type of animagus personas that I am forming of them, animals are easier to control than humans.
So, Harry is a Golden Eagle, Neville for Honey Badger, Lily for a snake (Slytherin), Justin for a horse and Theodore for a Falcon (Because of Avengers).
Also, Darkbeak is Scott as mentioned in the previous chapter. He is a raven. And what he said, Otaliga is Swedish for Unspeakable and Raptor is, surprisingly, Latin for Plunderer, which is a synonym of Marauder. So basically, the group is 'Unspeakable Maruauders'.
