Yep, you guessed it! Valentino is going to meet Octavia!
Chapter 2: Valentino Meets Octavia
Valentino, seeing his chance to woo Octavia, who was walking away, minding her own business on her way home, hopped from the rooftop, landing in front of the teenage owl. Stunned, Octavia stopped reading for a second to glance at the pink demon. "Hello, Octavia," said Valentino.
"Hello, Valentino," Octavia replied and in the next split second, Valentino stole the book she was reading from her, much to her chagrin. Trying to mask her annoyance, she asked, "Valentino, may I have my book, please?"
"Bitch, how can you read this?" Valentino demanded, flipping through the pages in her book, "There's no pictures!"
Octavia nonchalantly crossed her arms with a determined smirk. "Well, some people use their imagination," she answered coolly.
"Octavia," Valentino said as he threw the book over his shoulders out of Octavia's reach and the book landed in a mud puddle. "It's about damn time you get your head out of those books and pay attention to more important things, like me." He smirked widely.
Behind him, Velvet, Dia, and Summer sighed romantically at the sight of their "hero". Octavia grabbed her book with her fingertips and cleaned the mud off with the tip of her jacket.
"The whole town's talking about it, bitch," Valentino went on, "It's not right for a woman to read. Soon she starts getting ideas and thinking…"
"Valentino, you are positively primeval, asshole," said Octavia.
"Why, thank you, Octavia," Valentino chuckled, unfazed by her comment and snatched her book from her in one hand and draped his other arm around her shoulder. "What do you say you and me take a walk over to the tavern to take a look at my trophies?"
"Maybe some other time," Octavia said with disinterest.
The trio of women looked at Octavia with envy that Valentino was giving her more attention than them. "What's wrong with her?" Dia asked with jealousy.
"She's crazy!" Summer exclaimed.
"He's gorgeous!" Velvet fawned, batting her eyes in the air like a lovesick schoolgirl, making her and the others forget about Octavia.
"Please, Valentino, I can't," Octavia said, breaking free of Valentino's grasp, while clutching onto her book. "I have to go home and help my father. Goodbye!"
Vox stood beside Valentino. "Ha, ha! That crazy old loon! He needs all the help he can get!"
This made both Valentino and Vox burst into laughter over the TV headed man's banter.
"Don't talk about my father that way!" Octavia scolded them.
"Yeah, don't talk about her father that way, dickhead!" Valentino said, pretending to side with Octavia and reprimand Vox before hitting him in the head.
"My father's not crazy!" Octavia pointed out, "He's a genius!"
As she'd spoken this, an explosion sounded off and she rushed home to find out what caused it. Valentino and Vox continued laughing and Valentino smacked Vox's back to make him tip over.
Guess who you'll see next?
