"Come on!" Anakin called over the blaster fire.

Ahsoka grabbed her lightsabers and ignited them before running up beside a clone. "Trooper! What's going on?" she asked.

"Don't know, sir- Ah!" The clone gasped as a blaster bolt nearly hit his head. "He just appeared at the steps. He's unstoppable!"

Ahsoka looked around and noticed a teenage boy jumping from place to place as he tried to dodge the blaster bolts the sith was deflecting. "Who's that?" Ahsoka asked.

"I think he's got some sort of tech that can shoot spider webs," the clone replied, ducking behind one of the statues that lay outside the temple.

"Ahsoka!" Ahsoka looked over as Anakin called her name. "It's him! It's the chancellor, I can feel it!"

"We need to contact the council!" Ahsoka shouted, darting behind the statue.

"I already did. They're on their way, but we need to by some time!" Anakin shouted.

Ahsoka nodded and jumped out from behind the statue and ran to the front of the line of clones. She had lost sight of the teenager and Bucky and Sam, but she knew she couldn't worry about that now.

"Hold your fire!" Anakin called from behind Ahsoka, "retreat into the temple! Me and Ahsoka will hold him off as long as we can."

Ahsoka risked a glance behind her to see the clones retreating and taking defensive positions just inside the temple. Then she saw Bucky and Sam walking over to them, not away.

"You go too!" Ahsoka called out to them. Neither of them responded, but they continued to walk forward and stopped about a yard behind Anakin and Ahsoka.

"How could you do this?" Anakin asked, drawing Ahsoka's attention back to Palpatine.

"I will correct the galaxy. And you will be at my side," Palpatine responded.

"Never," Anakin said.

"Then you will die."

"I've heard that before, but I'm still here," Anakin replied before breaking into a run. Palpatine moved his hand to the side, using the force to push Anakin far away from him. Ahsoka crouched lower and ran through her training in her mind.

"Ahsoka Tano. Brave, for a padawan," the Chancellor said.

Ahsoka glared at him before leaping into the air, the force carrying her over Palpatine's head. She landed gracefully and spun around, about to attack, when Palpatine pulled her lightsabers from her with the force, leaving her defenseless.

"Now, you die."

Palpatine held up his hands and Ahsoka realized that he was about to electrocute her with force lightning, but before the lightning hit her, someone dropped in front of her and looked like he was blocking the lightning with his arm. Then Ahsoka realized it was Bucky, and the force lightning wasn't strong enough to penetrate his metal arm.

Suddenly, a flurry of bullets hit the sith lord and Ahsoka looked up. Sam! He had some sort of a flying contraption with wings on his back, and was shooting Palpatine. He wasn't using blasters, and Ahsoka didn't know what exactly he was using, but she couldn't worry about that now.

Ahsoka used the force to take her lightsabers back and ignited them. She dodged around Bucky and leaped at the sith lord, lashing out at him with her lightsabers. Palpatine ignited a red lightsaber of his own and blocked her attack.

Bucky tried to punch Palpatine with his metal arm, but the sith lord used the force to choke him. Sam threw a shield at one of the statues. It bounced off and hit Palpatine's back, forcing him onto his knees.

"Master!" Ahsoka called as Anakin leaped down at her side.

"Hey, Snips," Anakin replied, not taking his eyes off the sith lord. "I'll attack from the front. Can you sneak around from behind him?" Anakin asked.

"I'll try," Ahsoka agreed.

"I won't be able to hold him off forever," Anakin reminded her.

"I know!" Ahsoka said. Then she dashed off while Anakin tried to distract Palpatine. She looked up at one of the statues. If she could bring one down on him, it might kill him. Ahsoka paused for a moment, wondering if she could really kill a man. Then she decided that it would be too hard to keep a sith lord in a prison, and ran to a statue close to where Anakin was fighting with Palpatine and hid behind it.

Ahsoka took a deep breath, then closed her eyes and reached out with the force, imagining the statue falling down on the sith lord. She opened her eyes as the statue started to fall and saw it land right on top of Darth Sidious.

She froze for a moment, then ran over as Anakin used the force to lift up the statue to see if the sith lord was dead. Ahsoka skidded to a halt at his side and looked under.

"There's… There's no one here!" she exclaimed.

"What?" Anakin gasped.

"He's just… Gone."
