Since Adrien wasn't coming back, Marinette decided to go inside, when she noticed Adrien beckoning to her out of the corner of her eye."We have to stop these rumours!" He hissed urgently. "Lila is ruining Chat Noir's reputation!" Marinette just stood there and glared at him.
"Oh, I thought lying didn't hurt anyone?" she said coldly.
"Marinette-"
"NO. Just because of Chat Noir, you finally see? What sort of friend are you? You let everyone trample on me and you never say a word. I can't believe I was ever in love with you!" Adrien looked at her for a moment, tears gathering in his emerald green eyes. Realising what she had just said, Marinette gasped and covered her mouth. But it was too late. She had already said it and the words could not be undone. "Marinette, I'm sorry."
His voice broke and he ran away in the direction of the classroom.

"I can't believe I actually said that to him! I will never be able to look him in the face ever again!" groaned Marinette, flopping face down on her bed. Tikki paused from munching on a macaroon. "Marinette, you were just angry, I'm sure he will forgive you if you apologise. And as for telling Adrien, you were finally honest!" Marinette paused, deep in thought.
"You're right, Tikki,"she smiled. "Now the hardest task is to go to school. I would rather defeat Hawkmoth!"
