Spy opened his eyes. It has been a hour since he slept from the freak accident that Engineer caused. As of right now, he is in a bed. In a seemingly abandoned house, judging from all of the cobwebs everywhere in the room. He got out of the bed and went to explore the house he is in. Yep, this house is definitely abandoned. Too much cobwebs everywhere. He went to the living room and see that all of his fellow Mercs is in the room. Scout was the first one to notice him.
"Hey!" Scout said. "Spy is here! How's the nap? Feeling comfy?"
"Definitely comfy, Scout," Spy mockingly answered. "Anyways, where is Engineer?"
"I'm right here, Spy," Engineer said in the back of the room. "Is there anything you need to know?"
"Do you know what place we are in?" Spy said, genuinely curious.
"Well," Engineer started. "From the books and newspapers that were left in this house, it says that we are in planet called 'Remnant' and we are in near from a kingdom called 'Atlas.' That is all the information I could find from reading the books and the papers. For now, at least."
Gathering all of the information Engineer said, he sighed and started to think about it. So, they are in a planet called Remnant. They are in place that is near from the kingdom called Atlas. It's interesting that they are kingdoms in this place. Very different from Earth. On the other hand, he thought of something else.
"Engineer," He said.
"Hm?"
"Is the vehicle that we used to go home with us?"
"Eeyup, why?"
"We might need it for traveling to this place named Atlas." He said. "We may get answers from there."
So, they went to the cold winter of a outside and saw that their vehicle is still intact. They looked each other and nodded. There, they started their journey of exploring this mysterious world. Little did they know, it was way more than they thought.

A TF2 AND RWBY STORY
CHAPTER 1:
You Might Need Help
"What is democracy?"
"It got something to do with young men killing each other."
"What if its my turn, will you want me to go?"
"For democracy, any man would give his only begotten son."
- Excerpt from a mysterious recording between a father and his child.
The ride was loaded with questions for this world. What could await for them in this new world? What are the people in here act and look like? Those were the main questions they got through their head. Nobody in the vehicle said throughout the journey except a scuffle of pages. Scout was reading some book he got in the abandoned house. It was a book of the history of Remnant. It was about the size of normal novel. Basically, like all history books, it talks about the history of its people and stuff like that. He is currently learning the people in the world of Remnant. He's in a section telling that they are people called Faunus, which are basically people with animal features and traits. Apparently, they were looked down in the fifty-percent of the society of Remnant. So, he decided to talk to his mercenary friends about this.
"So, guys," Scout began saying and gaining the attention from the Mercenaries. "This world basically has these people called Faunus. They are people with animal traits and is looked down by most of the society of this world."
"Bah! Racism?!" Soldier exclaimed, as he is angered by this. "Not on my watch!"
"Very horrible, indeed." Medic said in his heavy German accent. "Society isn't a society if it doesn't have those things."
"Agreed, lad." The Scottish cyclops, Demo, said.
"So, where are we now, Engie?" The Australian mercenary, Sniper, asked Engineer.
"Not quite sure," Engineer said. "All I can see are just trees and the road."
It's true, they have been on the road for at least thirty minutes, now. That is until when Engineer suddenly stopped, causing the mercenaries to get shocked and confused by the sudden stop.
"Something wrong, Engineer?" Spy questioned. "Why the sudden stop?"
"Take a look at that." Engineer answered, while pointing at the window.
The Mercenaries looked at what he is pointing and were dumbfounded by the sight. Below the ground was a giant crater, filled with badly-made houses. Ahead from the crater was a city, giving a aura of anarchy and chaos. Above the city was the one that stands out the most, and the most unbelievable part of the sight they are witnessing right now. It was gigantic chunk of land, floating, assisted with some sort of buildings that makes them somehow afloat. Presumably (definitely), this place is very technologically advanced.
Just, what is this place?
"Bloody hell..." Sniper muttered.
"In the name of America..." Soldier muttered. "That is the most unbelievable sight I have laid eyes on."
"Goddamn right, lad." Demo said to his best friend, Soldier. "Just, what the bloody heck this place is?"
"We need to get our questions answered, fast." Scout said.
"We might ask to the people down there... or the people in the city." Spy said.
"Let's take the easy route." Scout reasoned. "It's way more faster than taking another trip to a city."
The mercenaries agreed. Ever since that Scout became quite smart (but he is still the dumb kid they know), it has been proven useful for situations like these. For now, they are going to ask the people down there for now. Off they went, but first they had to find a ladder leading to down there. They went out of their vehicle and walked to the crater. It was a sad sight, they guessed. It was filled with people (or Faunus, they assume? Judging from their appearances, they have some animal traits) roaming around. They looked around to see if there is ladder. They see that, even better, there is actually stairs, waiting for somebody to come.
"Welp, I guess we use the stairs?" Scout said.
Everyone nodded and start walking towards the stairs. As they start descending in the stairs. It was old, judging from the creaking noises it was making. Fortunately, nothing broke in the stairs. Old does not mean dead, right? Heh. We wouldn't want to see them get an accident, would you? Anyways, as they stepped on the ground, they were getting questioning looks from the people. Why do they look different? Why do they look so out of place? The last part was true, though. They actually look so out of place compared from the people down in the crater.
They ignored from all of the looks from the people, they started to walk through the houses and camps. To Heavy, this feels like the Gulag. Except there is no one to torture these poor people. Thank God the Communist Phase of Mother Russia is gone. Otherwise, they had to suffer a little more than they could handle. With that aside, this feels way more nice than Communist Russia.
You might be thinking, when are they gonna meet Team RWBY and JN(P)R? Well, that will happen in about... right now.
BOOM!
A sudden explosion was heard from above. In a result, the people in the crater were stricken and screamed in terror. The Mercenaries crouched in shock for the unexpected explosion from above.
"What the heck was that?" Scout said.
"It sounds like it came from above." Demo said. "And something is falling! Look!"
Indeed, something is falling. Correction, someone is falling. Someone is falling from the sky.
"Shit! Looks like we gonna save that guy!" Scout shouted.
"Gentlemen, onward to the falling person!" Spy commanded the Mercs and the Mercs nodded.
They ran to the presumed crash site. Not knowing they are going to a adventure. One that could change the world.
Fear is a funny thing.
We try to escape it but it still comes, no matter what place you are from. We try to kill it, but it will come back, regardless of it's shape and form. Kill it, run from it, it still arrives. But, we can overcome it. What is fear's weakness, you may think? Courage, that is. Courage exists so that we overcome our fear. Right now, Team RWBY and JN(P)R could use some courage now.
