Later that very night, Mayor Pig tells Swamp rat the truth about Pug and his whole background of his life.
Swamp Rat got shocked out of his mind and gasped, "Woah!"
Swamp Rat then says, "Wait a minute, so you mean, he has been SCAMMING us this whole time he has been in this farm!?"
Mayor Pig tells him, "I'm afraid its so! His fear wasn't caused by Persian Pete, if that even is his real name!"
Swamp Rat says, "Well from what I heard him say at that party we had when the Dearly's left, he said his real name was 'Mittens'" then looks all around with an open jaw.
Mayor Pig then tells him, "Well whatever the case, this brave Sargeant Dalmatian by the name of 'Spotty' has gotten all this taken care of!"
"Well Mayor." says Swamp Rat, "I sure as dog biscuits hope so, cause I'm now officially firing my henchman, closing my store, and moving into a different landmark. You sure did the right thing letting me know about all this! If I had known the real truth about Pug, I probably would have reconsidered this whole thing about that party I held. I did a terrible thing to the pups, and now I have guilt towards everything I've done."
Mayor Pig then says, "Hmmmmmmmm, so your giving up your dream, huh?" Swamp Rat nods and then says, "I'm going on my way to a different one, Mayor!"
Mayor Pig then asks, "No regrets?" "If I continue getting scammed by certain victims like this, then I guess nothing else I achieve in my good for nothing store will matter." Swamp Rat points out to him.
Mayor Pig nods in agreement. Then Swamp Rat puts out a hand to Pig for him to shake in grant, "Thank you, Mayor!"
Mayor Pig shakes his hand in return and then asks, "So what are you going to do now?" "I'm going to bash my henchman out of my life and then leave an apology note to the Dearly Pups after everything I've done. Cause I know after everything that I've done for my store, and realizing the bit of the hoax here; I've come to realize this is not the place I belong! Nice knowing all ya!"
Mayor Pig then says, "Well, good luck to ya rat!" Swamp Rat looks down in distress and salutes a Good-Bye, "Adieu!". Then he makes his way towards the Swamp.
Swamp Rat starts packing his stuff and Clyde and Steven arrive and notice what he is doing. They come towards him to ask him what he is doing "Uh, hi Sw-" Clyde says but is cut off by Swamp Rat slapping him, "Shut up, Clyde! Just shut up! BOTH OF YOU!"
"Woah! Woah! Woah! Swamp Rat, what's your problem? Why are you packing your stuff like this?" Steven asks in concern.
"Your not closing the store are you? I thought this was something you always wanted?" Asks Clyde in the same emotion.
Swamp Rat raises his voice to them, "NO! Not anymore! And YES, I'm closing my store. Yall made me make Persian Pete the bouncer at that party for NOTHING!"
"What-What are you talking about?" Steven asks a little scared and worried.
"Mayor Pig just told me the real truth he found out about Pug. His fear wasn't caused by Persian Pete, which I don't even give a rat's hat if that even is his real name. But all I can say right now, is I've had it! I've had it with this store, I've had it with working with you guys, and I'm sick and tired of being scammed! I've done a terrible thing to those pups at that party, and I can't help now to feel guilt for all I've done around this landmark! YOU TWO ARE FIRED, I MEAN IT!" Swamp Rat infuriatingly says and then kicks Steven and Clyde out of the Swamp one by one.
After that, Swamp Rat has everything packed and closed his store, and makes his way towards the Dearly Home and right before he attempts to write an apology note to the Dearly pups, Lucy crosses path toward him, and she runs her way to him wondering what he is doing.
"Swamp Rat?" Lucy calls over to him running her way, "Oh! Hey Lucy." Swamp Rat greets in a little depressed tone.
Lucy notices Swamp Rat's suitcase and asks, "Um, that's a nice suitcase there. You by any chance taking a trip somewhere?"
"If your implying a vacation Lucy, consider it permanent. I just heard the truth about Pug." Swamp Rat tells her.
"Oh you did!" Lucy asks him raising an eye brow. "Yes." Swamp Rat tells her, "Mayor Pig just told me everything. Look, after much deliberation, I've fired Steven and Clyde and closed my store. The Hiccup Hole is all yours Lucy, Enjoy!"
"But where are you going now?" Lucy asks in wonder to Swamp Rat. "I'm moving to a different landmark where I belong, and am going for a different dream. Farewell to all you animals!" Swamp Rat tells her in eager then just continues walking his way toward
Lucy then smiles and makes her way back home.
Swamp Rat makes his way to the Dearly home in an attempt to write an apology letter to the puppies for all he has done. Before doing so, in action to his anger, he bangs an empty cup off the stairs and then begins writing his letter.
'Dear Dearly Pups,
This is a bond farewell to all of you. I have come to realize the truth about Pug as of tonight, and realizing everything that's happened upon this whole matter, I can't help but to feel guilt towards all I have done to you guys.
Lucky, Rolly, Cadpig, and Spot, I realize now that I know the real truth about it all, I want to tell you guys that I am sorry. I am sorry for all the tricks I pulled on yall, and I am truly very sorry for kicking yall out of the house when I threw that party when the Dearly's left.
I'm sorry pups for stealing your collars.
I'm sorry Spot for making you rip your feathers.
I'm sorry for everything!
I know I don't belong here, and I know I'm not even liked to begin with by any of you animals around here as I continue to get tricked from my plans that have happened within my expereince, so I've now officially closed my store, fired my henchmen, Steven and Clyde, and am moving to a different place I know I belong.
This is a favor I've granted.
And I know I don't know this 'Spotty' puppy, but golly he sounds like a brave sargeant, and I can tell he has such a great heart towards you Dalmatian puppies!

After Swamp Rat finished writing his letter, he pastes it on the front of the Dearly's house and then officially takes off and moves away from the Dearly Residence.
