Chapter 3
It had been two weeks since Damian had joined the league of villains, while he waited he laid low for a while not wanting to risk attracting too much attention to himself. He had received a phone call from Shigaraki telling him that AFO wanted to speak to him, the time for his assignment was now. Kurogiri had brought him back to bar via warp gate. After entering the bar he was greeted by both Shigaraki and Kurogiri.
"Welcome back Damian, how are you?" Kurogiri politely asked.
"Things have been quiet so far Kurogiri, thanks for asking, anyway the day of reckoning as finally arrived for us, so what does the boss need us to do? I've been waiting weeks for this.
Soon the small tv in the bar turned on and AFO's voice
"Ahh Damian glad you could join us, sorry for the long wait, but I chose this day for a your assignment for a specific reason...The UA sports festival." said AFO
AFO now had Damian's attention, the UA sports festival was the most viewed event in Japan, hell probably the whole world, he wondered what his assignment had to do with it, but never the less, he paid close attention to AFO.
"Our failure to kill the symbol of peace, back at the USJ made us realize how much we underestimated the students of class 1a, and if the rest of the students of UA are anything like them, it could mean trouble for us in the future. I want you to go the festival and observe as many students as you can and analysis their quirks, of course am not asking you to memorize every single students quirk, but just a decent amount will be fine." explained AFO.
Now Damian understood, AFO wanted him to found out what quirks the students of UA had, so in the future they would better prepared for another confrontation with the next generation of heroes.
"Understood, I'll need a ticket so that I can enter the stadium, I'll also need a video camera to capture footage as well." said Damian
Shigaraki then walked up to Damian and handed him a small package. Damian opened it and saw a small digital camera. "This digital camera here is the best in the market, not only can it record footage, but it can also take photos and it has night vision as well." said Shigaraki
"Damn now that is cool, alright then, now I need some better threads, hey Venom I think it's time for some new clothes." said Damian
I'm on it, we need something with style, and I think I've got the perfect fit for us.
Soon Damian's clothes just into something more stylish, but won't attract any unwanted attention to him. He now wore a black zip up jacket with blue stripes going down the sleeves, a pair of dark blue jeans and nike shoes that resembles Kyle Reese's from terminator. All three villains were surprised at what they just witnessed, they had no idea that Damian's quirk could do that.
"Holy crap how did you do that?" asked Shigaraki
"Oh Venom as the ability to change into clothing as well, saves me a lot of money I tell you that." explained Damian
"Once again your quirk never ceases to amaze me Damian. Now Kurogiri, transport Damian to the sports festival." ordered AFO
"As you wish sensei." said Kurogiri as opened up a warp gate that would lead straight to the festival. Before Damian stepped through, Shigaraki stopped him.
"Hold on Damian, while you're out there, try to get as much information on a certain brat in UA."
"Does this brat have a name?" Damian asked.
"Back at the USJ, I heard All Might call him Midoriya, he has short messy green hair and a little short for his age, you can't miss him, he'll stick out like a sore thumb." said Shigaraki giving a description of the boy
"Alright I'll keep an eye out for him." said Damian
With that Damian left through the warp gate and appeared a couple blocks away from the festival. After arriving he realized how many heroes were on guarding duty, some of the heroes just pass him without batting an eye. Damian couldn't help but smirk, here he was Tokyo's most infamous villain walking among them and they don't even know it.
He had an hour before the festival officially began, so he decided to kill time by having something to eat. That and Venom was bugging him for some food and threatening to eat his liver if he didn't get any. He went to a nearby stand waiting in line, he then realized that the three people waiting in front of him were pro heroes Death Arms, Kamui Woods and that tramp , honestly Damian found her quite annoying, flaunting her body around like some slut to the press, both him and Venom were hoping that one day they would run into her so that they could kill her. The only other hero worse than her was Midnight, seriously how she made it through UA Entrance Exams he would never know.
"I'll take one order to go please." said
"Whoa is that really you?" asked the vender
"And hold the salt will you?" she said
"Of course that's gonna be 500 yen."
"Um oh no my money is in another costume." said putting on a cute act by wiggling her hips
"SO HOT THIS IS ON THE HOUSE!" said Vendor being completely charmed by her act.
"AREN'T YOU A DEAR!"
Damian was seriously peeved at the scene in front of him, but he had to bite his tongue and not bring any unnecessary attention to himself. He just decided to go to another food stand, he was sitting down enjoying a double bacon cheese burger with fries and a coke. As he was eating Venom began speaking to him.
"You almost lost it back their Damian."
"What are you talking about?"
"Back there with the blonde hero lady, when she charmed that guy into giving her free food, I could feel your blood start to boil."
Damian knew Venom had a point, he was in his head after, so there was no hiding anything from him, he was in his head after all.
"It's just that heroes like her, really rub me the wrong way, I hate their type the most. The type who think they can have anything they want just because of their title, she should pay like all the others, being a hero does mean she is entitled to free things, another woman pro hero I can't stand more than her is that other god damed slut Midnight. I really hope we run into either of the two, one day, killing them would really satisfy me, I mean imagine all the fanboys in Japan crying because their beloved 'waifus' are dead." said Damian.
Now that would be something to look forward to.
After eating the rest of his food, it was time for the sports festival to begin. Damian was able to find a seat close to the action, he had his video camera on his hands ready to start recording and take pictures.
"HEY MAKE SOME NOISE RABID SPORTS FANS, KEEP THOSE CAMERAS PREPPED MEDIA HOARD, THIS YEAR WE'RE BRINGING YOU ONE OF THE MOST HOTTEST PERFORMANCES IN SPORTS FESTIVAL HISTORY GUARANTEED I ONLY GOT ONE QUESTION BEFORE WE START THE SHOW, ARE YOU READY?" screamed Present Mic to the crowd in the stadium
The crowd just cheered louder, as the students of UA entered the field, from class 1a, 1b, including students from general studies, the support classes and even one called the business classes. Damian then noticed a certain green haired kid that looked like he had broccoli for hair.
"Ahh that must be the kid that Shigaraki was talking about, should probably keep a close eye on him."
"Wonder what his power is, if Shigaraki ask us specifically to learn more about him."
Soon a certain R rated hero step onto the stage and all the men in the stadium all began either drooling, blushing, bleeding through their noses or all three. Damian however just wanted to rip her to shreds.
Down on the field most of the students where questioning whether what Midnight was wearing appropriate, most specifically class 1a students Kirishima, Kaminari and Tokoyami
"Someone should talk to miss Midnight about what she's wearing"
"Yeah that costume should come with a warning"
"Is it really appropriate to apparel for a high school game?"
"Silence everyone!" shouted Midnight "and for the student pledge we have Katsuki Bakugo!"
All the the first years were looking at Bakugo, they were all wondering why he of all people were chosen to do the pledge. As Bakugo walked towards the stage, his classmates began to talk to one to one another.
"Uh he's the first year rep?" asked Midoriya
"I guess that hothead did finish first in the entrance exam so I guess it's only natural he get's chosen to do the pledge" said Sero, a sigh from another student caught their attention.
"He only came in first for the hero course exams" said the girl rather annoyed
"Oh right sorry" said Midoriya
"That girl obviously hates us" said Sero
"Yeah and we got Bakugo to thank for that" said Kaminari equally annoyed with his classmate. As Bakugo took the stage the whole stadium became quiet, anxiously waiting to see what the blonde haired student would say.
"I just want to say, am gonna win" said Bakugo calmly. Soon all the students went into an uproar.
"I KNEW HE SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAAAAAT" thought all of class 1a, while the rest of the first years were booing him.
"WHY ARE YOU BEING SO DISRESPECTFUL, YOU'RE REPRESENTING US ALL" screamed Tenya. Bakugo turned around to look at him.
"It's not my fault the rest of you are just stepping stones to my victory" said Bakugo with a thumbs down, angering the students even more. One student from class 1b named Tetsutetsu was down right furious at what Bakugo just called him and his classmates.
"AM GONNA CRUSH THIS OVERCONFIDENT JACKASS, I CAN'T WAIT TO KNOCK HIM DOWN TO SIZE" shouted Tetsutetsu now more motivated than he was before. Midoriya on the other didn't believe that Bakugo was just simply being over confident.
"I don't think it is overconfidence, the old Kacchan would have laughed while saying that making it a joke, this is him pushing himself...and turning all of the rest of us into targets at the same time" thought Midoriya.
Midnight then began to announce the first event of the festival, which happened to be an obstacle race outside of the stadium, there was a large screens all around the stadium, allowing the audience to witness the events that will happen during the race. Damian had his camera ready set on record, remembering the whole reason why he was here.
When the race began ice coated the entrance where the students where coming out, the culprit was a boy with white and red hair, white on the right side and red on the left side, he also had a burnt scar on the left side of his face. According to what that loudmouth Present Mic he name was Shoto Todoroki. Todoroki that's the No.2 hero's Endeavor's surname, so candycane is his son, he'll need to watch out for him.
As the race went on some students overcame the obstacles in their path, such as those robots, the tight rope obstacle and the last one, the mine field, Damian and Venom actually found it funny watching those UA brats get blown into the air with the minefield. In the end the one who won the race was the kid that Shigaraki asked him to gather the most information on, his full name was Izuku Midoriya from how Present Mic announced, he somehow managed to launch himself into the air that got him into the lead and won him first place. Damian was confused, through out the whole race, all the students where using their quirks, except for Midoriya. After the first event ended Midnight started to announce the next event.
"The first game for the first year is finally over and what a game it was, now lets take a look at the standing shall we" said Midnight as the screens around the stadium began to show the results of the game, with Midoriya in first 1st place and some blonde kid who looked like he needed to go to the bathroom in 42nd.
"Only the top 42 will advanced to the next round, but don't be to let down because you didn't make the cut, we've prepared other opportunities for you to shine" said Midnight as he licked her lips. Midnight then announed the next event would be a cavalry battle in which the objective was to earn points by swiping other teams' headbands while protecting their own. The value of a team's headband would be the sum of the points each person on the team received based on their performance in the previous competition. The person who ranked last would be worth a measly 5 points, and each rank above that would be worth 5 more points than the previous one, with the exception of 1st place, which was worth 10 million points. In other words Midoriya was pretty had a big red target on his back.
Both Damian and Venom were laughing, at the irony of winning first place in the obstacle race. "Oh my god I almost feel bad for broccoli boy, he's gonna have everybody gunning for his ass." said Damian laughing hard. "I can already see all the other brats looking at him like a delicious piece of meat" said Venom laughing with Damian.
Once all the teams were formed, The event began and almost every team on the field were going after Midoriya, wanting those 10 million points, Damian was recording the whole event as well as taking pictures. When the cavalry battle ended, the results were Todoroki's team in first place, Bakugo in second, Shinso in third and Midoriya in fourth place. After a while, the last event was a one on one tournament, but first they did some stupid side games before the tournament. After that the main event was here. The first match was Midoriya against some purple haired teen named Hitoshi Shinso, when the match began Midoriya went to attack him, but then he suddenly stopped and began walking out of bounds.
'Why the hell is he walking out of bounce for?' thought Damian
"Maybe it as something to do with that purple haired kid's quirk." said Venom.
"You think it could be some sort of mind control quirk?" Damian asked Venom
"Perhaps, it certainly wouldn't be the first time I've seen someone with that kind of power"
They watched as Midoriya was about to walk out of bounds when he suddenly stopped, he somehow broke out of his trance and was able to win the match by knocking Shinso out of bounds. Not the most exciting match, but it lasted longer than the second one where Denki Kaminari another brat from class 1a faced Ibara Shiozaki a student from class 1b. The fight ended very quickly as Ibara was able to shield herself from Kaminari's lightning using her vines and subduing him winning the match. The next match was between Tenya Ida vs a student from the support course named Mei Hatsume. The fight couldn't really be called a fight since Mei just turned the match and Tenya Ida into a walking advertisement, though Damian was actually impressed, that girl basically proved that you don't need a quirk to be a hero or a villain. Damian actually now had newfound respect for this girl, how ironic that a villain respected a hero in training.
"Wow the girl has an incredible talent for support and combat gear, she will not only be a hero, but the inspiration that all quirkless people need...the same inspiration that Jordyn needed to see and hear" thought Damian sadly, wondering if Jordyn had seen someone like Mei Hatsume in action maybe she would have had the will to keep going. The next match was between Shoto Todoroki and and some kid named Hanta Sero, but that match was completely one-sided as Todoroki just froze Sero solid winning the match.
The next fight started between a girl named Ochaco Uraraka and the hothead Katsuki Bakugo, Uraraka held her own quite well, to the people in the audience it just looked like she was attacking recklessly, but it was later revealed that she had a plan all along, as the destroyed debris from the arena thanks to Bakugo's quirk Uraraka used her quirk to rain down a meteor shower towards Bakugo, but the blonde let out a huge explosion and obliterated all the rocks in one blast. In the end Bakugo one match.
The next one was a short arm wrestling match between Kirishima and Tetsutetsu to break the tie they had in their match and determined who advances, Kirishima ended winning and advancing. The next fight was Midoriya vs Todoroki, Damian switched the camera's SD card to film these two, considering that the last one was already full. Soon the match began.
Todoroki fired a stream of ice towards Midoriya, hoping to incase him in ice, but Midoriya channeled some of OFA into his finger and destroyed the ice that was coming towards him. The shockwave was so powerful that the whole audience felt it. Todoroki repeated his attack and Midoriya did the same thing. Damian zoomed in on Midoriya and saw that two fingers on his right hand were broken.
"Is that idiot purposely breaking his fingers just to stay in the fight?" thought Damian
"Pretty badass if you ask me" said Venom
"Pretty stupid is more like it, if he continues to break his body like that, he's just going to end up eliminating himself, if he was fighting a real villain and ended breaking more than just his fingers he'd be killed by now." said Damian as he continued to film the fight. Midoriya just keep repeating the same thing breaking his fingers to destroy the incoming ice, Damian just shook his head, that broccoli haired brat really was useless, it seemed that every-time he used his quirk he would just end up breaking a finger and that was just because he was channeling his power in fingers only, if he were to channel it to an arm or leg, he would just end up breaking his limbs completely, leaving him at the mercy of his enemies.
Back to the fight Todoroki had trapped Midoriya right foot in ice, to escape, he channeled OFA into his left arm to shatter the ice, creating a huge shockwave. When the dust cleared, it showed that Todoroki had kept himself from going out of bounds by making an ice wall. Midoriya however, now had his entire left arm broken.
"What's the matter, are you really that worn out from defending against my attacks?" asked Todoroki. Midoriya then noticed that Todoroki's right side was shivering and looked to be suffering from frostbite. Todoroki now believing that Midoriya had no other way of attacking or defending, sent another stream of ice at him intending to finish the match once and for all, but to his surprise his ice was once again shattered by Midoriya. Todoroki saw that Midoriya had used one of his broken fingers to destroy his ice.
"Dammit with your broken finger, why ae you pushing yourself this far, you'll just end up breaking your body even further, just give up, you can't defeat me" said Todoroki.
"You're trembling Todoroki" said Midoriya, in a hoarse voice startling Todoroki a bit, Midoriya continued. "It's easy to forget that quirks are physical abilities and that means there are limits to the cold your body can handle right? I get it, to avoid frostbite you need to use the heat from your left side, but you won't do that now" said Midoriya as Todoroki give him a sharp glare.
"Listen we're all giving it our all, every single one of us, to try and win and to make our dreams a reality, to become number one and you think you can be number one with just half of your strength? Look at me Todoroki, you haven't been able to leave a single scratch on me yet...SO COME AT ME WITH ALL YOU GOT" finished Midoriya as he clenched his right fist ignoring the pain of his broken bones.
Todoroki was glaring at Midoriya, believing that his father had put him up to it, to make him use his left side."Midoriya what are you trying to do here, you want my fire, what happen did my monster of a dad bribe you or something" Todoroki then charged at Midoriya, "Now I'm mad". As Todoroki got close to Midoriya, the green haired teen had finally landed a blow to Todoroki's stomach sending him back, though because Midoriya's fingers were broken, the punch ended up hurting him more. Todoroki cursed as he continued using his ice hoping to trap Midoriya and end the match as he too was reaching his limit with his ice quirk.
Damian who was still recording noticed that Todoroki's ice wasn't as fast as before as Todoroki was probably suffering from frostbite from overusing his ice quirk, but that was tamed in comparison with Midoriya's injuries.
"That kid is running on pure adrenaline right now, probably doesn't know the pain he's in right now" spoke Venom
"Yeah and even if by some Miracle he does win, there is no way he'll be able to move to the next match, not with those injuries. If he keeps attacking like that with the state his body is in, his dreams of being a hero will probably end here." said Damian talking telepathically to Venom.
Back at the arena Midoriya had just pushed Todoroki back once again at the cost of his thumb. "Why are you putting yourself through this Midoriya?" Todoroki hoarsely asked.
"I want to live up to people's expectations, I want to be able to smile while doing something good and heroic for them, I want to be a Pro, WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO BE A HERO!" shouted Midoriya as he hit Todoroki in the chest with his head. "That's why I will give it my all, just like you should be" said Midoriya
"I don't even know what you've gone through or why you are even here, but your life has been so much different than mine, but right now stop screwing around and get serious, if you want to reject your father that's fine, but you don't have the right to be number one if you're not going to use your full power" said Midoriya trying to get Todoroki to use his full power.
"I will reject you, that's why I refuse to use my left side" said Todoroki struggling to stand up.
"IT'S YOURS, YOUR QUIRK NOT HIS!" screamed Midoriya. Todoroki then remembered when he watched All Might's debut on TV with his mother a long time ago and remembering her words, that he is not a prisoner of his linage and that it was okay to use his power and become the type of hero he wanted to be, not the one his father wanted to be. In the moment Todoroki's left side lite up, allowing the whole world to see his flames.
"You're helping me aren't you? You fool, even though you want to win this battle, now which one of us is screwing around now, you just lowerd your chances at winning" said Todoroki "I want it too, I want to be a hero."
"YES SHOTO, HAVE YOU FINALLY ACCEPTED YOUR PURPOSE, THAT'S IT VERY GOOD, THIS IS THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA FOR US WITH MY BLOOD IN YOUR VEINS, YOU'LL SURPASS ME, YOU'LL LIVE UP TO THE REASON I CREATED YOU." shouted Endeavor
Damian just rolled his eyes at what Endeavor was saying, talk about dramatic. Damian thoughts on Midoriya was that he was a complete idiot, he pretty much threw the match, no way was he going to win now, if had bee fighting candy cane down there he would have finished the fight as soon as possible, not motivate his opponent, truly that broccoli haired teen is the biggest idiot he's ever seen.
"We need to watch hot for Icy-Hot down there, he become a huge threat to us in the coming future." said Venom.
Damian knew he had a point, while they both have killed fire quirked individuals in the past, Shoto Todoroki would be a problem considering that he was the son of the #2 hero in Japan and he would possibly be training under him making him a dangerous enemy. Soon Both combatants charged towards each other with their full power, both Cementoss and Midnight try to stop the fight, but it was futile as both attacks destroyed not only Cementoss's stone walls but the whole arena, creating an enormous shockwave of debris and smoke and the entire stadium felt it. When the smoke cleared up it showed that Midoriya was out of bounds and the winner was Shoto Todoroki, the audience let out loud cheers at the amazing fight. After that extreme match the heroes decided to let everyone take a break until they repaired the arena, after the break was over the festival moved on to the semi finals.

Soon the festival ended and the winner of the festival was the blonde haired loud mouthed shithead Katsuki Bakugo, but he didn't seem happy that he got first place. After it was all over Damian left the stadium and went to a secluded area and contacted Kurogiri to warp him back to the bar. Once the warp gate appeared he found himself back in the league's bar.
"Welcome back Damian, I trust that your mission went well?" greeted Kurogiri.
"It went smoothly, none of those heroes suspected anything, kind of ironic that they beefed up security and yet they were completely unaware that the Venom villain was among them." said Damian chuckling.
"Did you get all the footage and photos that sensei asked of you Damian?" asked Shigaraki making himself known. Damian pulled out four SD cards and gave them to Shigaraki.
"These SD cards contain all the footage of students using their quirks" he then pulled out another three, "and these are the photographs" explained Damian as he was about to sit down and ask Kurogiri for a apple cider, when his phone started buzzing, he looked at and his eyes widen, he got up so quick startling both Shigaraki and Kurogiri.
"Kurogiri quick I need you to send me to this location immediately, I'll explain later but right now I don't have time to answer questions!" said Damian in a hurry."
Kurogiri nodded and quickly opened up a warp gate and sent him to location that Damian showed him on the phone. Damian appeared on a roof, "Venom are you ready for some action?" Damian asked his symbiotic partner.
"Definitely, I've been itching for some action" said Venom as the symbiote covered Damian and began to swing towards their location.
The former hero Spikeback now named criminal Spikes was thrown against the wall harshly, she had been battling the Pro heroes Kamui Woods and Death Arms, both Pros had bumped into her when they caught sight of her walking out of a connivance store, she lead them away from populated crowds to avoid collateral damages, she may have been considered a criminal now, but she wasn't heartless. She had held her own quite while with the two Pros that were currently attacking her, but these two work well together as a team, that's why she sent that emergency message to Damian for assistance, so she had to hold out a little longer. Kamui Woods she could handle, but that damn neanderthal Death Arms, was extremely durable and strong, but he was slow. His punches could easily kill someone, she was able to harden her skeleton to prevent serious injuries, but damn it still hurt.
She dodged an attack from Kamui and fires a barrage of sharp bones at him, Kamui quickly jumped out way to avoid getting impaled, but Spikes anticipated this and delivered a strong axe kick on Kamui shoulder sending him down hard. Death Arms went to punch her, but Spikes ducked and slashed at Death Arms chest with a bone blade she produced, drawing blood. Death Arms hissed in pain and went to slam his fists on her, but Spikes jumped out of the way in time, but was struck by Kamui Woods.
Spikes looked at both Pros with a glare, Kamui Woods glared back at her, "stop this right now Spikeback and surrender, you can't win against both of us, make it easier on yourself and turn yourself in" Said Kamui
"First of all I go by Spikes now Kamui, and second you should know that I don't give up so easily, am used to this kind of thing, you're going to have to knock me out if you want to take me in." said Spikes.
Kamui shook his head in disappointment, "such a shame to see you like this Spikeback, you were an incredible hero, you gave people hope, now look at you a criminal and a murderer, why couldn't you just continue to fight for justice" said Kamui. Spikes however scowled.
"Justice!? There is no justice in today's society Kamui I had to learn that the hard way!" said Spikes angrily
"Look Spikeback I understand what you went through but-" said Kamui but was interrupted by a furious Spikes
"Don't you fucking dare Kamui, you don't have a fucking clue what I went through, you don't have children so you don't understand my pain, when you have kids of your own and god forbid they go through what my daughter went through, THEN YOU CAN FUCKING SAY YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I SUFFERED!" screamed Spikes as she charged at Kamui Woods with two bone swords, but she was intercepted by Death Arms, the punch she received from him caused her to cough up blood.
Kamui quickly retrained Spikes with his Lacquered Chain Prison and began to tighten his grip hoping to knock her out before she used her quirk to summon more spiked bones to free herself. "I'm sorry that it has come down to this SpikeBack, but you are hearby under arrest, for the crimes of murder and vigilantism" said Kamui as he was about to knock her out when all of a sudden Death Arms was thrown towards the wall and Kamui received a kick to the face, forcing him to release Spikes from his chain prison. When Kamui looked to see who attacked him and Death Arms, his eyes widen to see who it was. It was the most dangerous villain in Tokyo Venom, grinning at him while holding Spikes bridal style.
"Hey Woody didn't anyone tell you it was rude to put your hands on a lady" said Venom.
