Chapter 2: A Disappointment

Sans awoke in a strange and unsettling void-like place, feeling confused. He stood up and was looking around the location. "what...?" He asked himself. He looked around some more, trying to comprehend the surroundings he was in, until he heard a voice behind him.

"Ah, Sans, I was expecting you..."

Sans turned around to notice that the voice was coming from Papyrus, who looked annoyed with him. "hey, p-pap!" Sans stuttered in confusion. "w-what's with the face?" Papyrus sighed as he began to speak.

"I felt like I needed to talk about some personal issues I'm dealing with. I always hated the way you act. I personally think that you're a burden, a mistake, a disgrace, you name it. I think that you really are a disappointment."

Sans was shocked to hear what was coming out of Papyrus's mouth. "w-what?" He stuttered. But Papyrus wasn't done talking.

"You're just a weak useless coward who I can't rely on, especially when I need you the most. I guess I shouldn't have expected something from nothing. I don't even think I should consider you as my brother."

Sans was starting to feel offended about what his brother told him. "p-papyrus..." He said nervously. "i-" But before he could say anything else, Papyrus interrupted him and said "Whatever." He turned away from him and started walking away from him. "You're not worth any of my time."

Sans then noticed a shadowy figure with a red glow from one of it's eyes. It was carrying a knife in one of it's hands. Sans then realized that the figure was actually Chara, walking up to Papyrus, ready to kill him right in front of of the smaller skeleton.

"PAPYRUS NO!!!"

But it was too late. With a swing of the knife, Papyrus's head was decapitated from his body, which collapsed on the floor, and it faded to dust right in front of Sans, leaving a dust pile with the scarf on top of it.
