"I can't believe you named your sword that" Natsu said as he examined Mira's blade which was similar in nature to his blade but Mira's was more...knightly which reminded him of a certain knight they both knew and respected "Titania" he said chuckling a little
Mira sighed and smiled as she made her sword in respect for her rival and friend the blade was a similar type of sword as Natsu's but was more silver and like Natsu said knightley and regal, but unlike Natsu's sword hers was double edged and split down the middle the hilt being a small cannon that fired small concentrated shots of dusts and pullets and like Natsu's sword it had a third weapon function a whip as it had wire like blade underneath the sword to extend it "thanks for helping me forge it with dust" she said with a smile as having her blade infused with dust
"No problem" Natsu said as he did it for all the other girls weapons in order to give them an edge
"How's Wendy's weapon" Mira asked as Wendy had help from Pyrrha with her weapon making it just like her Miló the only difference being that the blade could extend it's sides making it like a fan
"Fine" Natsu said to her
"We've been getting a lot of attention" Mira said as they were considered famous as they had gotten around and it had reached many places
"Yeah now I know what Pyrrha feels like" Natsu said as she had entered more tournaments after their first one and swore he was her rival
"You kidding I love the attention" Emerald said appearing with Wendy having a smirk as being famous was kinda awesome
"It is kinda nice" Wendy said as she was glad to make a name for herself
Natsu would've said more if he didn't get a call on his scroll "hey Blake" he said wondering what was up
"Natsu you're getting summoned" Blake said quickly
"Summoned" Natsu said as he and the others raised a brow "summoned by who" he asked curiously
"Sienna Khan herself" Blake said as Sienna took control of the white fang after her father stepped down as it's leader when it was more peaceful Sienna the current leader pushed back but didn't blatantly attack people
"No way you gotta go" Mira said to him as pissing of this woman was not a smart move
"What does she want" Wendy asked as she heard stories about the woman not all of them nice
"She wants to meet Natsu that's all I know" Blake said to them

The others knew they couldn't go as the white fang would've tried to kill them if they went

"Should I be worried" Natsu asked Blake and Iila as they were being escorted by the white fang guards
"Yes/Definitely" Iila and Blake said to him in unison as this was big
They all walked inside and saw the woman sitting on her throne
"Thought you'd be older" Natsu said simply as the woman looked only a few years older than him
"Fame has its perks" Sienna said as she gained the position as she took the white fang in a new direction "please sit" she said as she had her men bring in a table and seats "you are a truly fascinating individual Natsu Dragneel" she said as they sat down
Natsu didn't like that look in her eye as it was a knowing look 'she knows something' he thought to himself as he felt unease with her knowing anything about him
"I must say Natsu you have an impressive career" Sienna said to him "fighting grimm since the age of 7, fighting bandits, apprentice to a famous huntsman, local supporter to the faunus despite not being one or a human" she said getting Natsu's attention
"I'm guessing you got that info from Atlas or Beacon" Natsu said as that was where his blood was usually taken
"Yes a pity you didn't bring Ms Marvel" Sienna said to him as she looked at him calculatively "I wanted to make my own assessment and you've failed to disappoint" she said to him "I didn't know what to make of you a human or faunus you chose neither but love and respect both that is quite possibly your best quality" she said to him
Blake and Iila were a little calmer now seeing the leader of the white fang liked Natsu
"Thanks but to be perfectly honest each side has idiots" Natsu said to her
"I'll take your word for it" Sienna said as Natsu didn't have favoritism for either side so she considered him a neutral party "I assume you are referring to Adam" she asked him curiously
Both girls tensed at the name
"Yeah him" Natsu said to her as the man easily reminded him of Jella when he was possessed
"You stopped him" Sienna said to him as she kept track as Adam was popular for a certain angle with a select few and his numbers were growing for a time but thanks to Natsu's interactions it halted his actions which honestly put her at ease as Natsu was making things much easier as he had similar beliefs to her own
"I make it my business to be a pain in the ass for dickheads" Natsu said to her as if he could cause people he disliked issues it was a good day
"Natsu as far as I am concerned you are an honorary faunus and here my scroll number it pays to have someone not affiliated with you so willing to help" Sienna said as Natsu exceeded her expectations and she couldn't deny he was going to be an asset "oh and I don't know how you did it but we appreciate the donations Willow Schnee has done thanks" she said knowing Natsu was behind it
"I just asked for a favor" Natsu said with a chuckle as Willow liked to help the faunus as it really pissed off her husband as despite his claims for taking the credit no one believed him knowing it to be that of his wife
"And you two I hear you've been causing a certain Schnee problems…..and haven't been caught" Sienna said with a smile "I have half a mind to give you both medals" she said to them having a proud smile "if you ever need some ideas call me immediately" she said with a smile as getting to help cause the Schnee family patriarch issues sounded like a good day to her
Natsu merely chuckled as the girls spoke to her about their accomplishments and future plans

"I swear that is scary" Natsu said as Mira had gotten the properties from a Nuckelavee and it was a strange one as Mira could change her arms slightly making her nails sharper and even stretching them out like the grimm and another benefit was her strong leg muscles making her run faster and kicks more deadly, but the real scary thing was of an ability no one seemed to know about the grimm is that it absorbed aura when it stabbed someone Mira tried it on a few trees and they died quickly
"Could be useful who knows maybe I'll kill grimm faster" Mira said to him as she herself was a little freaked out by it but saw it as a game changer for enemies
"Just be careful Mira" Natsu said pulling her into a hug as he often worried for her as she had become slightly different when she took over grimm 'may explain her personality when she was a child' he thought as he never noticed till now that take over magic could've had some effect on the person as Mira became more violent sometimes but after a while she reigned it in
Mira eased into the embrace always feeling safe in his arms

"Mr Branwen your son is extraordinary" a professor said to Qrow
Qrow rolled his eyes as people had wanted Natsu to skip grades ever since he was in the academy wanting to send him to Beacon and the other big leagues and he even asked Natsu about it often and he still had the same answer 'nah I'll stick with my friends' which made him smile from the loyalty Natsu displayed

"I'm sorry I think one of us is very drunk and possibly on some pretty strong drugs or is suffering from sudden insanity" Qrow said a little heatedly but despite that chuckled "you want to send Natsu to Mantle and Atlas" he said to him a little angry
"I feel a new environment may be a good change" Ozpin said to him
"Fuck that everytime he goes there James drops the fucking ball" Qrow said to him simply
"James has made...mistakes yes but Natsu should have a change in environment he seems unchallenged" Ozpin said as Natsu and his team had less times for missions being at their current training academy "I believe with James and his habit of bending rules we may be able to take advantage of that and see further improvement" he said to him
"Oh my god" Qrow said to him "IF and I mean 'if' Natsu agrees I'll let him go to Atlas" he said to him
"Thank you" Ozpin said to him
(few hours later)
"The fuck happened to you" Robyn said seeing Qrow's face as she called him
"Teenage female hormones" Qrow said as al the girls had some 'disagreement' with him taking Natsu away to Atlas
Robyn then bursted out laughing hearing that as that sounded hilarious "so how is the little lady killer" she asked knowing full well Natsu had an effect on women
"He's…..himself" Qrow said as there was no proper way to describe Natsu
"It'll be good to have you here" Robyn said as Qrow had a busy schedule and they always called each other but having him around would be amazing
"Only upside to this" Qrow said to her as he didn't like seeing Ironwood
"Thank you" Robyn said as after the things Qrow had told her about the man she'd have avoided him like the plague as well

"Hey Weiss" Natsu said as he was hugging her as she came to greet him
"Hey Natsu" Weiss said as they hugged
Qrow watched and let them have their moment but soon had his own as he saw Robyn

"So this is their training" Qrow said as he was currently on the Schnee property witnessing Winter train Natsu and Weiss
"From what I gathered Natsu threatened to not train unless Weiss was with him" Willow said as she smiled happily as she knew her daughter had...insecurities after seeing Natsu in action thinking she didn't compare to him, but with training with him and by her sister might help alleviate those fears
"Adorable" Qrow said actually finding that cute
"He's becoming a fine young man" Willow said as Natsu was an amazing person
"Yeah hard to believe the kid is 14 with how strong his character is" Qrow said to him

"C'mon Weiss" Natsu said with a smile as he had been training Weiss to increase her power and the make her semblance stronger
"I got it" Weiss said as she was trying to incorporate dust into her summons to increase their damage or even use a secondary glyph it was a secret they kept from Winter something they worked on furiously
"Focus" Natsu said to her channeling his power into her
They soon saw result seeing a orange glyph appear and saw a familiar looking knight like the ones in the Schnee's home but it also had dragonic features to it and instead of the icy blue color it was orange
"Cool" Natsu said to her
"Thanks for the help" Weiss said as this was nice as now she knew she had real potential and would work to achieve it

Natsu was currently spending the day in Mantle as he always felt more at home here as it felt more natural "hey Robyn" he said running into the woman
"Hey Natsu" Robyn said happy to see the young man
"How's it going" Natsu asked curiously
"Fine as can be gathering some signatures for some improvements to bring to the council" Robyn said as she loved her home and fought for each and every day
"Try a bar lot of drunken idiots" Natsu said as they both laughed
"Does that apply to a certain someone we know" Robyn said as they laughed a little harder
"Hey here" Natsu said throwing her an small fancy wrapped box
Robyn grew curious as she opened it and saw a beautiful robin necklace inside "you know today is not my birthday right" she said jokingly
"No but it is mother's day" Natsu said with a smile on his face
Robyn was immediately hit with the gravity of what this gift represented
"Listen I feel you've become a big part of my and Qrow's life and I feel you're more than a friend so I-" Natsu was saying before Robyn pulled him into a hug making him smile
Robyn felt truly touched for Natsu to consider her as a mother it made her truly happy

Qrow felt a little odd as he had dinner with the people he cared for and he felt something had changed in the dynamic between him, Robyn, and Natsu it wasn't a bad change and it felt kinda nice 'eh who cares I'm happy' he thought as he felt happiness and wanted to keep that

"Hey kid" Natsu said to Weiss' younger brother
"Hey Natsu how's it going" Whitley said as he liked Natsu's company as he often got his father off his back
"You give your mom anything for mother's day" Natsu asked him curiously

Natsu snorted as he knew Willow liked making Jacques miserable so that was an appropriate gift "do they explode" he asked curiously

Willow watched the interaction over her scroll and smiled glad Natsu was apart of her life as he gave her life a new meaning and joy

"It's a nice day" Robyn said as she was lying blissfully in bed seeing the sun rise happy about today as today was Natsu's birthday
"Yeah" Qrow said to her with a smirk feeling her on his chest 'fuck you misfortune' he thought to himself

"Yeah" Qrow said to her showing her what he got
"This is like yours but you based this off his outfit didn't you" Robyn said as she saw a short sleeved dressy shirt like Qrow's but it was more loose and the coloring was black as primary and orange as secondary
"Yeah" Qrow said to her simply
"You know he does see you as a father I hope you know" Robyn said as she asked Mira about it one time and was saddened when she learned Natsu had suffered much loss when it came to family it honestly reminded her of Qrow in a way as the two were exactly alike it was a little scary as they held all their relationships close and if something bad happened they'd hold onto that normally suffocating pain she honestly couldn't tell who had it worse when she tried to see it from both men's perspective
"Yeah I know" Qrow said in admittance as that was something that made him both happy and scarred as he loved Natsu as if he were his own blood son it scarred him thinking about all the choices Natsu could make especially with all those that had a key interest in him

"You know it's ok to feel stuff" Natsu said as he was currently having morning coffee with Winter
Winter raised an eyebrow at what he meant
"I know that look you have" Natsu said to her in a serious tone "it's principle or some ideal you have that you wholeheartedly believe" he said to her as he sipped from his coffee "your father is an ass" he said seeing a ghost of a smile on her face "but he does not defy you" he said seeing her eyes raise slightly

"I have my demons" Natsu said to her in admittance "but I knew someone just like yourself she was strong but being strong isn't about being able to block everyone out but willing to accept people and let them in" he said to her seeing the conflict in her eyes "also why did you ask me here at 9 in the morning" he asked curiously
"I was...instructed...to have a group study you" Winter said to him
"So I'm being stalked" Natsu asked getting a nod
"By a new team the general is developing" Winter said to him
"Yeah was wondering who those people were" Natsu said to her
"You knew" Winter said in surprise very impressed
"A few of them really stick out I mean one looks emotionless and another is a giant" Natsu said as those were the obvious members he saw "the other two are really impatient I could sense her a mile away also I use lightning so I can sense it as well coming off her" he said to her blankly "oh and the guy with the dog tail was a bit...teritorial I guess" he said as that one was watching him fiercely like he was an enemy while also wagging his tail
"Noted" Winter said as she was currently in charge of developing that team and those notes were helpful
"Oh and tell sunshine he ain't as lucky as he seems" Natsu said as the man he was referring to was a bit tricky but his semblance was similar to Qrow's he figured it out soon enough
Winter smiled as she was glad Natsu caught that man as he was the official leader of the team whenever they were in the field and she just managed it despite the age difference
"So Winter can I assume you're gonna try and make some changes" Natsu asked curiously
"Don't expect to much" Winter said to him
"I won't just be happy and make choices you know you can live with" Natsu said to her as that was pretty much his philosophy
"I'll try" Winter said as she often wondered what it was like for Natsu as he was such a free spirit she sometimes envied that
"So why am I being stalked exactly" Natsu asked knowing she knew there was more to it and that he knew there was more to it
"Ironwood is having your physical activities monitored" Winter said seeing him look confused "he thinks there is something special about the activities you do to yourself like a certain training regimen that will help improve his men" she said as she often thought that was the case as well
Natsu knew about that as when Winter was teaching him she paid more attention to his movements than Weiss' "Winter the secret to my strength is not in my stamina or my blood it's in the bonds I have formed the friendships I have made those are what fuel my strength the thing that keeps pushing me forward and I think you know that but see it as a loss of control" he said as he knew after multiple encounters with Qrow that she liked control "emotions are what give our power meaning they don't control us unless we let them and they can be a fierce weapon when properly channeled Winter" he said as they sat there
Winter was wondering if what he said was true as she had seen him fight and was at awe with how much pasion he had in his battles

"An emblem" Natsu asked Robyn curiously
"Yeah I'm surprised you never got one before now" Robyn said as she noticed Natsu didn't have an emblem so she thought it'd be fun to make it
Natsu clutched his right shoulder missing his guild mark as he had to wait before he could get another "sure" he said as he was thinking about a dragon's head or more precisely his father's head
(1 hour later with Mira)
"You know if I didn't know him I'd think this was some kinda manly thing" Mira said with a smirk seeing the emblem Natsu sent her, her own emblem was a set of eyes with a scar mark like the one from her satan soul
"I have one like it" Wendy said as her's was a small version of Grandeeney
"Eh mine is unique but simple" Emerald said as her emblem was her namesake
(few hours later)
"It's like a living nightmare" Glynda said seeing Natus dressed similarly to Qrow
"At least he can't be an alcoholic" Ozpin said to her
"That's not my….most troubling concern" Glynda said to him "I'm more concerned if he develops his father's other….habits" she said as she remembered Qrow when he was in school
"Oh yes the skirt" Ozpin said as he let out a chuckle
"What's this about a skirt" Robyn asked curiously
"Who are you" Glynda asked not knowing who this was
"Oh my apologies I'm Robyn Hill" Robyn said to them "you must be Glynda and Ozpin Qrow has told me much about you" she said to them
"Ah miss his how is your relationship with Qrow progressing" Ozpin asked curiously
Glynda was baffled learning that Qrow Branwen was in a relationship and after talking to the woman she discovered she liked her and that she was actually an upstanding woman and the moment she left to speak with Natsu Qrow came over to them "Qrow" she said the man's name in warning "do not mess that up" she said very seriously
Qrow raised his hands in surrender as he fully agreed with that statement

"So Natsu 2 more years till you can go to a full huntsman academy any in particular" Ozpin asked him
"Beacon" Natsu said in a simple tone "also it's one year" he said to him making the man raise an eyebrow "I apparently skipped a year thanks to Ironwood I moved up but I'll wait till I'm 17 with my friends" he said to him
"A noble gesture on your part" Ozpin said to him as he wasn't worried in the slightest as Natsu didn't seem like one to idly sit by and do nothing

"Do you ever just give up" Natsu said to James Ironwood
"Natsu please be reasonable your talents can do much good" James said to him
"Haven't I told you to fuck off" Qrow said from behind James "keep this up Jimmy and your arms will match" he said to him deadly serious

Qrow could only nod at that

"Ladies and gentlemen today we are having a rematch of a fight from years ago today is the day we shall see was it luck or skill that lead to Natsu Dragneel aka 'The Salamander' victory in that tournament as today he will face the lady of Mistral herself now named the 'Invincible Girl' Pyrrha Nikos" the ref said introducing them
"Ass" Qrow said as the man built up Pyrrha and basically chalked up Natsu as some run of the mill kid who got lucky since they were kids
"How much you bet on this fight" Mira asked him curiously
"So much Robyn might kill me" Qrow said to her seriously
"Looks like Pyrrha is the crowd favorite" Yang said as Pyrrha was getting many cheers and there were barely any for Natsu
"Don't take it to personally Yang" Qrow said to her simply "these people are from Pyrrha's home town Mistral of course they are gonna cheer her add that to the fact Natsu is only known in key areas and has only been in the one tournament they aren't gonna see him as much" he said breaking down the whole thing for her
Mira had to agree with him on that logic as it was exactly similar to the logic that was happening at the grand magic games when they came back after 7 years

"Hey been a while" Natsu said as it had been some time since he had seen Pyrrha in person as both always were training
"Yes it has" Pyrrha said with a smile as she was excited to battle this opponent someone who had defeated her someone who just saw her as another opponent someone she greatly respected
The two walked up to each other and did a roman style handshake acknowledging the other as a fellow warrior getting applause from the entire stadium

"Hey I forget what does Natsu win here" Blake asked as she remembered some prizes in this
"A picture of yourself on some cereal and a cash prize I think" Weiss said as she didn't pay attention to much as she just wanted to see the fight
"Kick her butt Natsu" Ruby said screaming at the top of her lungs
"Whoop her but" Yang said cheering with her sister loving a good fight

Natsu and Pyrrha just stared at each other and waited for the other to make a move
Pyrrha at that moment changer her weapon into a rifle and shot at Natsu then charged at him when he dodged
'She knew I'd react like that' Natsu thought impressed at her deduction on what his reaction would be, he dodged her jabs with her shield using the more pointy end to try and cut him 'she ain't holding back so neither should I' he thought to himself as he used his blade and parried against her shield trying to block both her shield and now transformed sword
"What no fire" Pyrrha asked not ceasing her speed of attack
"Nah seemed like overkill especially since you're not using your semblance" Natsu said knowing Pyrrha liked it secret and respected her wishes
Pyrrha smiled as this was now a battle of pure skill since neither was going to use their semblance
(1 hour later)
"Gotta hand it to her not many can say they got into a fist fight with Natsu and last this long" Mira said as both combatants disarmed the other and immediately started brawling
"Tell me about it" Yang said as she sparred with Natsu often building up a tolerance for pain as she absorbed all the physical damage she took training with someone who could dish out as much damage as Natsu really helped her
"Pyrrha is gonna black out any minute" Mira said seeing the girl struggle to stand and saw her knees wobble a little
Mira was soon proven right as Pyrrha fell over and Natsu was declared winner
(20 minutes later)
"Been working on your hand to hand" Natsu asked Pyrrha curiously as they got treated
"Yeah was thinking it was worth exploring you seem very versatile and with my armor I thought my semblance could give me an edge if I use it properly" Pyrrha said to him
"Sounds interesting but seriously I gotta ask the 'Invincible Girl'" Natsu asked curiously
"A name I got from some people that caught on after a tournament" Pyrrha said as she was pretty annoyed by the title as people saw her as someone who was in a high class making her feel isolated as people didn't associate with her thinking she wouldn't be with them with how she was painted as
"Well after that ass kicking on live tv you might have lost it" Natsu said as they laughed
"So I hear you're going to Beacon when the time comes" Pyrrha asked as that was her choice as well
"Yeah see you there" Natsu said as they smiled and nodded respectfully at the other
"Awww" Qrow said holding up his scroll "Robyn is gonna find this adorable" he said with a laugh ducking a shot from his old weapon and a golden shield

"I still think you should just go to Beacon" Robyn said as Natsu was leaving soon and he was going to be training constantly
"Can't have to many friends I wanna make memories with" Natsu said with a smile just yesterday turning 16 "also do me a favor" he said to her
"What" Robyn asked curiously wondering what he wanted from her before he left
"Watch out for Qrow and never stop fighting for what you believe in" Natsu said to her sprouting his wings and flying off

"Yeah she's a scrapper" Yang said as she trained with Wendy all the time as they both had trained with Natsu and she had to admit Wendy was impressive
"Good lets go a few rounds then" Natsu said to them cracking his knuckles
"What no dinner" Yang said teasingly
"I think he wants to work up an appetite" Wendy said stunning the two brawlers in surprise she had such a clever comeback

"Why did I agree to this at all" Natsu said as he and Mira were in Vacuo in a cave hiding from a sand storm
"Because I'm awesome" Mira said as she was hunting bug like grimm here
"You have a Deathstalker and Nuckelavee what more do you want" Natsu asked curiously
"Well we're in the heart of grimm territory and most of the grimm here are bugs and the king Taijitu" Mira said with a smile
"Yeah but most bug grimm just spit acid and the like" Natsu said as he was wondering if Mira wanted some kinda poison resistance
"Yeah" Mira said to him simply as if she didn't care "listen each poison is different I like to stock up" she said to him
"Fine c'mon" Natsu said knowing their luck this cave was full of grimm
"Wonder if there is a spider grimm here" Mira said seeing the webs
"Hope not" Natsu said as he didn't wanna deal with an illusion as here in the desert illusions were ignored for mirages often leading to a trap "actually you know what Emerald might like it if you got that power" he said to her
Mira had to admit having two illusionary specialists would be kinda cool
"Oh fuck me" Natsu said increasing the light of the flame in his hand seeing many small bugs covering the walls "ok spider and beetle" he said only seeing two bugs "Mira pray this is an illusion" he said increasing the heat creating an intense field around them making the bugs back away
"Ok" Mira said as she then grabbed a handful of bugs and did a quick take over getting both the beetle and the spider
"And you call me wreckless be glad you're a fire dragon slayer" Natsu said to her as the poison those grimm carried was barely a threat to him, Mira, and Wendy because their magic was combative against poison
"Ok webbing and a draining web line and illusions" Mira said testing it out
"Oh if we survive I'll kill you" Natsu said to her as he then incinerated the cave walls killing all the bugs in it "the fuck are we what is this cave" he asked feeling there was more here
"Wish we had Wendy" Mira said as she remembered their time in maze with the hungry wolf knights
"We may not need her channel some lightning in the walls" Natsu said as they channeled lightning in the walls sending out small pulses seeing the cave light up "dust" he said to her as grimm had a tendency to make homes out of dust mines
"Do we go deeper" Mira asked curiously
"We may not have a choice in the matter" Natsu said hearing other things that weren't wind based coming from outside in the sandstorm
"Let's go then" Mira said as they went deeper into the cave

"Never again Mira never again this was insane even for you" Natsu said as they were covered in blood and ash
"Yeah this actually killed my appetite" Mira said as even though she got the abilities of a blind worm, Centaur, Centinel, king Taijitsu, and a sulfur fish she was creeped out by how infested that cave was "I may have bite off more than I could chew" she said as she felt bile in her throat
"Yeah" Natsu said never wanting to come back here and deal with bugs

"Kid's an artist" Natsu said as Ruby's skill with her scythe was comparable to that of Erza with a sword her skills were incredibly impressive
"Thank you" Ruby said happily glad all her work with her Uncle paid off "you hear from him" she asked curiously
"Nah" Natsu said as about a week ago after his and Mira's little adventure Qrow told them he was going to be traveling gathering some intel for a mission he and Robyn didn't call him fear for his safety and often waited for him to call them, he took up the position to train with Ruby in Qrow's place making sure she would be ready for the challenges

"Adam was caught" Natsu said as he and the girls made sure that during the train heist he was committing he would get attacked by Vale's military stopping him
"He may get out" Blake said a little afraid as even after all these years Adam reached out to them which scared her as it was a bit obsessive like Natsu once said
"True" Natsu said to her "but will you just sit and wait for him" he asked as living in fear of an enemy was no way to live at all
Blake shook a little before steeling her nerves and calming down "no I'll be ready" she said to him confidently
Natsu smiled seeing the fire in her eyes "you want some tuna" he asked seeing the flames of strength turn to hunger

"It's impressive how well you fight Jaune" Natsu said as he was giving some pointers to a guy he met on his travels
"Thanks do you think if I keep training I can make it through the combat exam" Jaune asked covered in sweat after fight an Ursa
"Maybe but those are really hard my friend" Natsu said as Qrow told him about it when he took it "our character is defined by our actions Jaune we can make bad choices in desperation and we can do good things from a mistake if it helps others" he said as he saw some shady things happening in Jaune's home town and knew these people had a way of drawing them in
"You said I had talent I'll take your word for it" Jaune said as he trained some more
Natsu watched him train deciding to stick around for a while as he did unlock Jaune's aura and he should discover his semblance in his own time he stuck to Jaune learning the shield and healing techniques

"Hey" Natsu said to Robyn as he decided to come see her after so long
"Hey" Robyn said happy that someone she cared for was back
"He called me the other day wanted me to let you know he was fine" Natsu said feeling her hug him tighter from relief

"So 6 months till Beacon what do you intend to do in the meantime" Robyn asked him curiously as they walked the streets of Mantle
"For once I think i'm gonna relax" Natsu said as it had been a while since he had an actual vacation and he felt somewhat at ease doing it as the white fang was doing alright, Jacques was in his place not even lifting a finger to harm his family, the others were training, and Salem hadn't sent any grimm his way in a while so he felt the need to take it easy

James Ironwood was closely monitoring Natsu's progress as unlike every other student Natsu had full permission to take any mission from the mission boards, he had given him that power ever since he came here as it was the best way for him to monitor Natsu from a distance each battle he watched he saw Natsu apply the right amount of power to his attacks, never failed to take advantage of an opening, and more importantly always went in for more action taking on another mission
Winter was becoming a little concerned as she felt small as the general confided in her the truth….about everything from Salem to Ozpin and after all her philosophical talks with Natsu she truly questioned if this was the right thing 'relying on machines' she thought as that sounded like an absolutely terrible idea the only machine she had any sort of feelings to was a newly created artificial girl who acted like a regular girl and seemed to actually be….'alive' for a lack of a better term

"Hey can I ask why like really why" Robyn asked as they were currently outside of Mantle watching a Schnee dust shipment "I mean c'mon this'd piss that moustached ass face Jacques off good" she said as she smiled just imagining it
"The white fang are after this shipment" Natsu said as Sienna informed him that certain groups were going for bigger prizes lately, they discussed it carefully and she saw that this shipment had to be protected as it was a larger dust shipment "also as much as it'd kill him I don't wanna ruin the Schnee dust company" he said not wanting to ruin it for Weiss' family as it was theirs and Jacques was an unfortunate part and he was just waiting for the man to keel over "and trust me the man's not smart he doesn't care for small time just things like this" he said as faunus treatment had gotten better but it wasn't equal rights better
They soon got their wish for action seeing familiar masked men attack the shipment
"Time to go to work" Natsu said as he and Robyn went on the offensive

"Local heroes protect Schnee shipment from a radical fraction of the white fang" Qrow said reading a newspaper article on his girlfriend and son smiling proudly, he then walked away from the waste land he was in still in 'hope I cause you all sorts of bad luck Salem' he thought just letting his semblance pour out of him hoping to cause the woman as much misfortune as possible

"Good luck up there" Robyn said as she was sad to see Natsu spend the remainder of his few months in Atlas as things needed to change here in Mantle
"Thanks" Natsu said as the remainder of his short 5 months left would hopefully be peaceful

Jinn was surprised by that question never expecting that question or any doubt from Natsu once again being blindsided by the young man "Natsu every action and choice you have made you did it for the sake of others and their happiness" she said with a smile very glad to be with him and very happy he considered her a friend "you don't crave power for yourself but for others" she said reminding him of that fact "never give in and never give up Natsu keep fighting for what worth living for" she said basically reminding him of what he always did

Jinn just smiled and kissed his cheek before disappearing

"Indeed a fine human" Ambrosius said sounding proud "I mean infusing dust into weapons ingenius" he said sounding excited "I mean he found the process and not only that he adapts the weapon to perfectly suit a person his own weapon a testament to that as the tungsten and dust combined with his own power when he reforging the blade makes it perfect for him" he said truly impressed by Natsu's craftsmanship
Jinn wondered what her brother was up to as he could manipulate anything with his ability to create and like her and the rest of their siblings they were capable of granting...favors at given times with people like her with Natsu being a prime example of a special case
"Hmmm" Ambrosius said creating a hologram of Natsu breaking him down to the cellular level "fascinating truly" he said as he examined and looked at Natsu as one would a painting
"Ambrosius I am warning you now" Jinn said to her brother not wanting him to do anything extreme to Natsu
"Hmmm has he pushed his transformation farther" Ambrosius said to her seeing Natsu pop out wings on his back and gain scales on his arm and upper part of his face

"Hmm neither human nor dragon" Ambrosius said as he looked at Natsu's blood as it metamorphosed "well look at that right on the money not truly changing but matching it in a way" he said as this was truly a gray area as he saw a human cell and a dragon one and saw Natsu's matched and could pass for either "oh look at those eyes" he said examining them "oh yes truly special" he said seeing them morph from different colors
"Humans were both right and wrong with the heterochromia" Jinn said as Natsu had so much in him his eyes changed with the change
"Yes truly fascinating now to add one little adjustment" Ambrosius said as he snapped his fingers
"What did you just do" Jinn asked glaring at him threateningly
"Nothing to dramatic of a change" Ambrosius said happily and excited wanting to see how his work turned out
"Tell me what you did now" Jinn said as despite her powers there were some blanks in which even she could not answer her siblings being one of those
"Nothing I just removed a barrier" Ambrosius said to her calmingly "I mean removed and corrected should be better honestly those dragons noble I'll admit but there had to be better ways of doing what they did to children" he said as if finding the dragons methods barbaric but still respected their dedication
"What did you do" Jinn asked even more heatedly
"Easy I made him the perfect most truest dragon slayer" Ambrosius said to her getting a look "oh don't give me that look I may have helped him in the long run" he said knowing Natsu himself would have broken the barrier

Natsu felt a little odd but in a good way as he woke up and got out of bed never feeling so great in fact he did some stretching "hi Mira" he said with a smile
"Please" Mira said raising her hand seeing Natsu in just his underwear "don't stop on my account" she said with a smile as she was enjoying the show
"It's good to see you Mira" Natsu said as he went over and hugged her

Ambrosius had the decency to actually think about what she said "what do you know about dragon and dragon slayers" he asked sounding cheeky
"Why" Jinn asked her brother wondering what he was getting at
"Well like you I tend to do research on a subject biology just happens to be part of that and it lead me to understanding how dragons and dragon slayers work" Ambrosius said to her
Jinn felt like a fool as she knew everything about Natsu but never truly dove into the subject of what he was
"Dragon slayers have an ability called mate marking it's sorta like a dog being on a tree to let other animals know that it's that dog's tree" Ambrosius said to her
"Must you be so crude" Jinn said a little disgusted but got the idea "so is Natsu marking a mate" she asked curiously
"In a way you see dragons mark one mate that's the deal bonded for good true love and all that" Ambrosius said to her simply "but Natsu is another type of dragon slayer entirely making him unique to the rules" he said to her
'He's a fire dragon king dragon slayer' Jinn thought in realization her brother seeing her realization
"Yeah for dragon kings they take on multiple mates sorta like to strengthen the bloodline that type of deal for other fire related dragons so in Natsu's case if a female has strong intense desires for him and he feels the same way a bond is formed totally consensual might I add" Ambrosius said to her quickly "so anyway I'm not at fault here this is just hormones at play" he said happily being in the clear
"What else will happen with this mate marking process" Jinn said feeling like an idiot for asking her brother of all people
"The mate marking is a little more literal than you might think sooner or later when the feelings are at their highest or incredibly strong the forming mark pushes them to act and make their feelings known and it'll appear on the female" Ambrosius said to her

"Correct" Ambrosius said to her "in my opinion I think the blood made whatever connection they had more natural hell more compatible and stable with the mark still forming" he said literally having zero clue as to what the blood effects may have been for Mira
Jinn with all her blood knowledge tried to determine the effect of the forming mate mark Mira and Natsu were developing and all the changes she experienced when she received his blood all the changes piling up from physical, to emotional, and the bond they shared

"So c'mon tell me what is with the girl" Ambrosius asked curiously always fascinated by something new
"Mira is more than a fire dragon slayer she became Natsu's equal at least in status" Jinn said to him "although she carries none of the blessings she does have Natsu's dragon slayer abilities and powers" she said to him
"So what is she" Ambrosius asked her curiously
"For a lack of a better word she became the queen to Natsu's king" Jinn said to him

Winter tried to cool her temper as she ate her breakfast but she hated the closeness Mira had with Natsu and tried not to glare at her as after all the time she spent with Natsu from small conversations to training she cared for Natsu more than she had for anyone in a while, he brought new life to hers making her feel alive, she was in her standard military outfit her large E-cup breasts, and plump ass very restrained but easy to make out

Natsu was training in the garden of channeling the elements but to his ever growing annoyance he was having trouble with his original element after meditating on it for awhile he soon found himself inside a void and soon saw pillars of the elements and dust each colored a different one he soon approached the one representing fire and touched it 'what's wrong with me' he thought in wonder but instead of what he was expecting he felt pain he saw a bug like grimm connected to a woman, then he saw Salem, and another woman he hadn't met before in unbelievable pain but also saw Qrow and soon woke up "the fuck happened" he asked himself
(1 hour later)
"Tell me what the hell happened" Natsu said on the line with Ozpin
"Natsu I need to tell me what you saw" Ozpin asked sounding serious
"Something wrong" Natsu said as he could still feel the pain that woman felt "it has to do with the fall maiden" he said to him seriously
"Natsu please tell me what you saw" Ozpin said as this was possibly the most honest Natsu was with him
"I saw Salem and a woman and I think with the current fall maiden but Qrow came he stopped something I think Salem wanted the maidens powers" Natsu said to him before he began breathing heavily and his nose bled
"Natsu Natsu NATSU" Ozpin said calling out to him
Natsu could barely hear him as sound seemed to fade and he blacked out

"Fascinating" Salem said as she looked at Cinder her hand placed over her heart "Cinder the value of yourself has just increased" she said with a smile to her newest addition

"Nothing" Salem said to her simply "it is what I can do through you" she said as she brought forth a bug similar to the one she gave the girl earlier and cut her palm and bled on the bug before placing it on Cinder seeing in seemingly get absorbed into her skin
"What did you do" Cinder asked in a polite tone of voice and soon had a headache before it passed
"Nothing for you to worry about" Salem said with a smile as her eyes glowed even brighter 'oh Natsu' she thought with a smirk as she found a link between Natsu and whichever current maidens, the bug she sent into Cinder attached itself to her mind allowing her to link with it

Natsu woke up again his nose still bleeding slightly as he picked himself up but felt disoriented as things seemed to be moving and his mind was working much slower than natural
'Oh Natsu' Salem's voice said ringing in his head
'Shit' Natsu thought to himself and soon fell over hearing his scroll ring and saw it was Qrow
'Let's focus on us right now' Salem's voice said ringing in his head
Natsu ignored her and answered seeing Qrow
"Natsu are you ok" Qrow said in urgency seeing Natsu's face seeing the blood, sweating, and exhaustion after what Oz told him wasn't comforting
"I-I" Natsu said stuttering a little
"Natsu" Mira said running to him worry clear in her eyes
'Ah the girl who can steal power from my grimm interesting' Salem said looking the girl over
'Stay...out….of my….head' Natsu thought knowing what this was as Mira cradled his head in concern
'Let's take this conversation to a more suitable location' Salem said to him
Natsu looked into Mira's eyes which were full of tears before blacking out again

"Yes though I must say I truly loved the memory of you punching those gods" Salem said as she didn't see the whole memory just that moment as Natsu found that to be a proud moment "care to share" she asked curiously
"Yeah no" Natsu said glad she didn't know what the gods told him
"Hmm honest" Salem said as despite her 'evil' nature she liked the quality
"So what are we doing" Natsu said pulling a seat next to her enjoying being back in the guild hall
"Talking if not much else the only things I can do here is talk and watch your past" Salem said to him "and truly I thought I was screwed over" she said seeing Natsu's...resurrection was truly something
"Yeah well we all have fucked up people in our lives" Natsu said knowing Salem faults were her own and everything that came after Ozma's resurrection was on both of them "can I ask you something" he asked her curiously

Salem had the decency to actually look away when that question was asked "I'd like to say yes but I miss them dearly" she said as her daughters were sometimes in her thoughts that weren't plagued with violence and bloodshed
"That pool must be something" Natsu said as he felt what Salem felt when E.N.D. was coming out of him and when he was tied to his book he felt so much anger and violence it was suffocating
"Our stories aren't so different you and I could have more in common than you know" Salem said to him as learning all she did about Natsu's first life made him seem so much more

"And what information that I have that you could want" Natsu asked her curiously as this was literally like making a deal with the devil and he dealt with enough of those already "and what would I get in return" he asked curiously as it had to revolve around Mira since Salem brought it up
"I will give you a sample of….a side project I have something that will give Mira full rein of her abilities and possibly all the power of her grimm something I know you want because I know you wanted Mira safe that's why you agreed to all those adventures noble I have to admit" Salem said as she knew Natsu only allowed her to go and went with so Mira could have the powers of her grimm so she'd be more protected and safe
"What do you want" Natsu asked her with more tone in his voice
"A vial of your blood" Salem said with a smirk
"Why ask" Natsu said as she had to know his blood was here in Atlas and in Beacon she could steal it as he could tell she was well connected "and why give me anything" he asked wanting to know what the point of this was
"Call it trust" Salem said as the world around them began to fade "goodbye Natsu" she said as she disappeared
Natsu soon bursted up looking at Mira who looked relieved to see him conscious

"Hello Natsu" Ozpin said in Natsu's bedroom in the Schnee household
"Oh hell" Natsu said as he sighed "listen you know I know and I know you are an idiot but I may be low on options" Natsu said as he filled Ozpin on what happened
'Salem isn't one to barter or give anything in return unless it was for her sole benefit' Ozpin thought as they sat there in silence and watched as a small nevermore appeared at the window Ozpin let the bird in seeing the dirty look in its eyes seeing the bird land on Natsu's hand and cough up two vials one empty the other with a black substance "do it" he said as this was a more manageable thing and he felt Natsu had an idea in mind
"Got a knife" Natsu asked curiously and all he got was a 'caw' from the small nevermore who extended a talon which Natsu used to cut his hand and fill up the empty vile which the nevermore ate then flew off "don't worry that blood isn't much but it's not all of me" he said as he was smart enough not to channel all his power into the blood
"I think we need to discuss who you are Natsu" Ozpin said as there was no time left for him to beat around the bush
(2 hours later)
"You know they'll still love you" Ozpin said as he spoke to his fellow reincarnation
"I know but it has become hard to try and tell them this secret" Natsu said as he wanted to tell the others but it was hard with how he grew up and knew so much about himself
"I must say your story is a hard one makes me a bit envious on your strength" Ozpin said as he believed everything Natsu had told him about his first life as the shear details he used and all the things he could do made it impossible for him not to believe Natsu
"Listen Ozpin not gonna lie you royally screwed yourself" Natsu said to him as the man sighed but nodded all the same "the way you have handled it hasn't been the best but it wasn't the worst you've been focusing on the wrong battles" he said to him as Ozpin focused completely on Salem and not the world as a whole
"Are you speaking about the faunus" Ozpin asked as he stupidly thought that the faunus would've gotten equal rights much earlier and still not have issues to this day and age
"That is one of the many things" Natsu said to him
"You know you seem to have a good head on your shoulders Natsu" Ozpin said a little happy that there was such an amazing person in the world

"Hmmm" Salem said in thought examining the vial of Natsu's blood and spilled a drop into her grimm pool soon seeing it create a wyvern but it was more defined and deadly "a piece of the hound is nothing compared to this" she said with a chuckle before it became maniacal

"Ok I deserved that" Natsu said as Mira slapped him across the face
"Are you insane" Mira said in a calm tone of voice
Ozpin along with the others who soon showed up just watched the scene unfold, Ozpin told them about Natsu having a connection with the maidens but left everything about Natsu's past a secret, but he did have to inform them that Natsu had previous encounters with Salem
Glynda wanted to chime in but a look from Qrow silenced her and decided to watch
