"Morax! I'm back! Did you miss me? Ooph!" Face meets the summoned wall and Barbatos stumbles back a few metre in pouts. That's not enough to stop him from barging through his friend's window, albeit in slower flight now, as if it's his own home.

"Your friend has just come back from his travel, is there no a better welcome? Don't you want to hear my stories?" Morax doesn't budge from his contracts, not even a glance.

"Mo~ rax~" A rustle of papers, following by the sound of ink elegantly stroked by the brushes.

"O' Emperor Geo, please heed my call." A twitch.

"Had you have a decency to inform your visit, I would have given a better reception."

"Such as?"

"First of, you can start by knocking on the door, instead of coming through the window."

"Now, why would I do that when it's faster to fly through here? Besides, you always open your window knowing I would come from there, right?"

"The window is opened for my trushes."

"Now, now, details. What's the difference." Morax sighs and rubs his temple.

There's a twinkle of satisfaction in the Anemo Archon's eyes when he puts down his brush. Even without his vocal permission, Barbatos puts away his wings and settles to his mortal form and casually sits on Morax's desk, "how about a break?" two wine bottles in hands.

"I'm still on the clock." Morax replies as he grabs the other and puts him away from his desk, a glare telling that "NO".

Barbatos laughs and settles on his laps instead, "Aww, you're not gonna entertain your friend?"

"Is my friend here to bother me?"

"No. I'm actually here to inform you." Inform him? Barbatos? Who has never even once informed him of his visits?

A sharp amber shots at the archon in his lap, "what are you planning?"

Barbatos has opened the wine bottle, never bothers to ask him as he pours in cup for two, "you make it sound so sinister, it's nothing big," a cup is offered to him and he takes it in a grunt. A gulp and then the Anemo Archon continues, "I visited the other five and invited them for a gathering," Morax raises a brow, "Of course, you're invited! Actually, you're my guest of honor!" The honor Morax would very like to be given to another being. Morax downs his drink and puts it away from another pour, "so I was wondering if you have enough rooms," he freezes. "What do you mean?"

The face Barbatos takes on is like a waste to his unapologetic expression, "tehe~ we just kind of decided to held the gathering in Liyue." Morax stills and the earth is shaking. "Oh, hey, Morax, calm down. Don't want to destroy your works now, don't we?" Barbatos wonders if the amber eyes Morax have also holds the Pyro vision because he could have been burnt being glared at.

"You have five seconds to explain yourself."

The Archon in mortal form is no longer as he quickly spreads his wings to fly away from the lap, "In retrospect, I didn't say your place per se. It's just kind of... happened since everyone want to meet the great elder Morax." The shelves and desk still shake in tremor despite their Lord seems to be sitting so calmly. "I told them I have to ask you first though! I did!" Actually it was the archons in Fontaine and Inazuma who want the Liyue archon's confirmation first but Barbatos thinks that was smart of him to accept that proposition too. He was so close to say, "Morax won't mind," to them though.

Finally the incoming (un)natural disaster seems to stop and Barbatos lets out a sigh of relief. "Very well. I will see which date the best for the gathering and do some preparation."

"Morax! You're the best!"

"Of course, you're helping."

"To provide wine and songs?"

"Cleaning and taking care of the guests!"

Barbatos "eep"s but nods nevertheless. He doesn't dare to push his friend anymore than already.

this idea formed when i was like "huh funny how morax at first was "how preposterous ditching duty just to drink!" at barbatos but then "since then the seven always drink in /liyue/" "
