Chapter 2: Gringgots and Shopping
Today was the first day of August and they were going to go to Gringgots and then Diagon Alley to shop for school supplies.
They had celebrated Harry's birthday yesterday with a celebration with just the black family members.
The Hogwarts letter containing Harry's acceptance into the school along with the school supplies list had arrived a week prior.
Now he, Harry along with Sirius, are walking down the street of Diagon Alley. The people all around them had taken to giving them a wide berth the moment they find out who exactly the Sirius was.
Thankfully they hadn't identified who Harry was and that was because the public had thought that he would look like his father.
Indeed while the public along with Dumbledore had thought that he would look like the typical Potter with their messy hair and wears round glasses.
The truth was that he looked more like a son of his ancestors. He had a raven black hair that reach a little past his shoulder blades.
Face that was pale and aristocratic. Eyes that shifted between black where he can see the spirits or the unique kind of green that was the color his eyes to when he doesn't want to see the spirits. Currently it was green.
He had mastered shifting between the two at ten and a half years of age.
Overall, he would pass more as Ignotus' son or even Salazar's before they even see his relate him as a Potter and a Black.
They reached the familiar marble white building of Gringgots and bowed to goblins standing guard at the front.
They made their way to a Goblin teller and fell in line. When they reached the front his Godfather Sirius spoke.
"Greetings goblin teller, we are here to talk with Account Manager Ironclaw"
The goblin at the front nodded and called someone.
"Griphook will lead you to Ironclaw"
"May your gold ever fill with gold"
"And your enemies tremble before you"
And with that they left and followed Griphook. When they reached the office of the account manager's office Griphook left and they entered the office as they heard the muffled "come in"
"Lord Black what can Gringgots do for you?"
"Ironclaw, my godson Harry here will be doing an Inheritance test"
"Simply prick your finger using this ritual knife and let three drops of blood drop on this parchment" said the goblin while indicating to the knife and parchment placed on the table.
He did just as instructed and waited for the results to see if there are some surprising ones.
The results of the inheritance test came out and it was just as suspected. He, Hadrian was heir to Slytherin, Potter, Black and Peverell.
Coincidentally Ironclaw was also the account manager for the Slytherin fortune. He had then wore the heir ring to the Slytherin, Potter and Black. He was already wearing the Peverell heirship ring that will turn into the Lordship ring at 17.
After that it was just a matter of Sirius and Ironclaw sorting out the investments and estates of the houses he was heir to (but it was mostly Slytherin)
When they finished an hour later they left the building and went on to go shop in Diagon Alley.
SCENE BREAK
It was times like these that Harry regret ever shopping with Sirius. He was simply just as bad as other women when it came to shopping for clothes.
Merlin, he was tired of standing and getting fitted.
"Sirius haven't we bought enough clothes?" he would've whined if it wasn't for the fact that it was ingrained in his self that "no, a Slytherin does not whine we only complain. Whining is below us"
Having Salazar Slytherin as one of the people being there when he grew up seriously had a huge effect on his attitude.
"No, we still have to buy you some dress robes"
Seriously, there is no worse people to shop clothes with then Sirius.
SCENE BREAK
After hours of shopping for clothes (corteousy of Sirius taking so long) they have finally went through with their shopping on Diagon Alley.
They have already bought all the things on the list except for the wand when they arrived at Flourish and Blotts.
"Harry, don't take too long in here okay?"
He rolled his eyes at Sirius. "I won't we already have most of the books anyway. I'm just looking for new ones and the one on the school list"
Of course he already had the books mentioned on the list but someone like him deserves the the best and must always have the newest.
In the end he only spent more than half an hour of looking through the books before he decided it was time.
He chose a book on runes, potions and transfiguration all of them supposed to not be understandable by the children his age.
After that they left to go home.
They would've gotten a wand but it only hindered his performance at subjects requiring the performance of magic.
So as a result they decided to just transfigure a wooden stick to look like it was a wand so that he wouldn't stand out much.
Not that he was shy around receiving many attention, when you grow up around people he grew up with, you just get used to it.
SCENE BREAK
The month passed by around fast with Harry doing the same routine he does as always.
He wasn't as excited as other children are at going to Hogwarts at first. Since he already knew all the curriculum being studied.
Even after Sirius and his Aunt Cassiopeia had a word with him about it. But after Sal had reminded him of the current state of his house because of the students and some other annoying variables, it made him feel excited.
Because now he have a goal to achieve by the end of his seven years at Hogwarts.
It was something he was determined to do. To bring back up the reputation of the Slytherin House and set the Slytherin students straight at what being a Slytherin is too.
Of course such task would not be easy. But he was sure he can do it. It would involve a lot of planning but it was something he was determined to achieve.
With that he spent the remaining days leading to September 1st planning on how to do such tasks.
Author's Note: Thank you griffin Blackwood for reminding me of the fault I had at chapter 1 (Growing up) where I used Dorea's name instead of Euphemia! I have fixed it as soon as I saw your review :)) Also another thanks to Sonnenfrost for asking those wonderful questions! I originally hadn't planned to get through with the notion of Harry's eyes shifting between colours but I had decided to go through with it! As for your other question of necromancer being highly regarded... I would make the answer to that question known in the future chapters!
Next chapter would be train ride and sorting. Guess what house Harry would be at? I'm sure it's painfully obvious!
Thank you for liking and following! and those reviews! I'm so thankful for those opinions and questions you guys made known to the review section.
I've already had this while story planned out but in chapter per chapter I haven't yet as I want y'alls opinion on this so I can prevent some plot holes and some other errors.
Thank you and I will update soon!
