Chapter 3: Over the Mountains and Through the Blue Tongues
(Unknown void)
Ghirahim was still curled into a ball while floating in this empty space. His eyes were still closed, but you could tell he was angry and upset. However, Ghirahim immediately opened his eyes when he felt something.
Ghirahim- What was that?! That signal…it felt like…Master Demise…? What that coming from your magic? Are you still out there and want me to find you? So the Wolf and that mean knight from the Mushroom Kingdom didn't do you in after they locked me in this empty void?
Ghirahim just looked into the distance.
Ghirahim- Well…if you want me to come and find you, Master Demise, I shall find a way to answer your call. Now…I just need to figure out where that signal of you magic is coming from…
(Somewhere in Australia)
Ganondorf had constructed a strange replica of Ganon's Tower in the distant mountains of Australia. Ganondorf was holding the page he tore from that spell book in one hand and using his magic in the other hand.
Ganondorf- Damn it! This is more complicated than I expected! Even with my knowledge of the ancients, this is hard to make heads or tails of.
Boss Cass' voice- Having trouble there, Ganondorf?
Ganondorf turned around and saw Boss Cass and Karlos on the roof of this new tower Ganondorf made and walking towards him.
Ganondorf- Boss Cass? What are you doing here?
Boss Cass- It's simple. I want in on whatever it is you've got planned.
Ganondorf- Why should I even…
Boss Cass- Let me rephrase that for you…you need me if you want your plan to not end in failure.
Karlos- He's right, Ganondorf. The only reason Boss Cass knew you were here in Australian boarders was because of Link.
Boss Cass- I had my own plan set up, but that swordsman ruined everything. I overheard him mention that the reason he came to Australia was to look for you. And surely by now, he's informed Ty about you.
Karlos- In other words, you'll have two members of the Super Mario Brothers' Team to contend with like we all usually do in every story.
Boss Cass- And do you think you'll be able to handle both heroes at once? Of course, you don't. And I don't want to walk away empty handed. Face it, Ganon…you need me if you want to stand a chance against them both.
Ganondorf- (Gunts)…Fine! But I'm in charge and you'll do what I say!
Boss Cass- Fair enough. This is your scheme after all.
Karlos- And what is this scheme?
Ganondorf- I have in my hands instructions for a powerful and forbidden spell that I was able to steal from the Lord of the Universe's library. It's called the Dead Possum and it can bring the dead back to the living. But not like ghosts or zombies. It restores them exactly the way they were before they died. And if you're doubting it, just look at Tabuu's followers. Every single one of them were brought back to life with this spell. So, imagine the possibilities! A never-ending undying army…and under my command!
Boss Cass- I am liking the sound of that! CAWHAHAHAHA!
Ganondorf- However…this spell is more complicated than I thought. I'm very well educated with countless ancient secrets that have been long forgotten and know how to decipher numerous forgotten secrets, but this appears to be more ancient. This is hard even for me to fully understand. I believe this part mentions something about a sacrifice of some kind, but I can't understand what kind of sacrifice.
Karlos- Maybe our decoding computer can speed up the process of making things easier for Ganondorf understand how that spell works?
Boss Cass- Good thinking, Karlos! How about it? Will that do for you?
Ganondorf- I suppose even you have some use to me. But we'll have to move fast if we don't want Link or that Tasmanian tiger before we've deciphered the Dead Possum spell.
(At the snowy mountains in Australia)
Link, Ty, Aryll, Sly, Shazza, Maurie, and Fluffy were scaling this snowy mountain.
Aryll- What's up with the strange environment change in Australia? First, we see a hot desert outback and now we have a snowing mountain.
Shazza- We have a lot of places that remain the same weather all year long. From hot deserts, to cool rainforests to snowy mountains. Yes, it can appear to be confusing, but it's easy to get used to if you live in Australia.
Fluffy- Easy for you to say!
Fluffy was apparently more covered up than everyone else for this cold snowy mountain.
Link- Why is she so angry all of a sudden?
Sly- Let's just say the freezer isle isn't the place to be if you're cold blooded.
Maurie- Don't get all fussy now. According to the intel I got, that strange tower that suddenly appeared should be coming up soon.
Shazza- I hope Fang is alright with Dennis back at Bush Rescue.
Ty- Fang will be fine, Shazz. You know that Fang is tougher than any of us.
As the continued to move up the mountain, some of Boss Cass' blue tongue lizards were on the high ground with a large pile of ice boulders. Luckily, it wasn't long before Ty caught a glimpse of one of those ice boulders rolling down at them.
Ty- Look out!
Ty threw his Lavarangs at the ice boulder and shattered it before it could hit them.
Sly- Where did that…
Fluffy- We're surrounded…
Link, Ty, and the others looked around and saw several blue tongues standing on the higher ground and holding more of those ice boulders.
Shazza- Those are some of Boss Cass' minions. What are they doing here?
Aryll- Link, you don't think it was a mistake to mention we were following Ganondorf's trail when we stopped him from breaking into Ty's lab?
Link- Guess he wants some payback for that…
Maurie- The problem is they're at a distance and not so easy to reach from where we are.
More ice boulders were thrown at them, but Aryll used Hylia's magic to block them.
Aryll- I'm not as strong as my big brother, but I still command the powers of Hylia.
Ty threw his Lavarangs to knock out two blue tongues, but there were still more of them.
Ty- Me boomerangs can reach them, but I can only knock out two at a time! That will take too long, mates!
Then Link pulls out a boomerang of his own and managed to use some sort of lock on several of the blue tongue lizard. When Link threw it, the boomerang knocked out several of the blue tongues at once.
Ty- Bonza, mate! What kind of boomerang is that?!
Link- It's called the Gale Boomerang. I found it while I was in Termina during my…uh…second childhood. I don't know if it's anything like the many boomerangs you have, but it can lock onto several targets at once. But it doesn't really do that much damage and I usually used it for solving puzzles.
Fluffy- Can we just move along?! I'd like to get out of this cold as soon as possible!
Shazza- Still as hotheaded as ever, even before you were brought back to life.
